━━━━━━━━   𝓜elody's eyes darted from screen to screen, a look of worry flashed before her eyes. She frowned looking at the flashes on the screen then to the iPad Thor held in his large hands. He smiled sadly placing a hand on her shoulder signalling it would be okay. Only they both knew it was only the beginning to something chaotic. And being a siren, that was Melody's skillset. Chaos.

"What's this?" Tony questioned the two as Thor shoved the device into his chest harshly.

"Nothing good." Melody muttered, "Ultron killed Strucker."

"And he did a Banksy at the crime scene, just for us." Tony rose a brow looking down at the screen.

"This is a smokescreen. Why send a message when you've just given a speech?" Natasha inquired looking between the team of heroes.

"Strucker knew something that Ultron wanted us to miss." Steve explained.

"Yeah, I bet he . . ." Natasha mumbled as she looked at the computer monitor. "Yep. Everything we had on Strucker has been erased."

"Not everything." Tony shook his head.

After a few moments Tony returned with boxes of files, he placed them on the table, for each member to go through.

Kai searched through the files glancing over to Melody who flipped through the files for any sort of information. "You alright?" He asked.

Melody shook her head, "No."

"Wanna talk about it?" He asked softly before grabbing another file.

"No."

"There's nothing in these but bad people, Stark." Kai turned his attention to the men in front of him, he glanced to Melody who began to fiddle with the ring on her ring finger.

"There is. I know that guy." Tony pointed to the photo in Bruce's hands, "From back in the day. He operates off the African coast, black market arms." Steve looked to Tony accusingly, "There are conventions, alright? You meet people, I didn't sell him anything." Bruce began to type on the computer pulling up a photo of the man. Ulysses Klaue. "He was talking about finding something new, a game changer, it was all very 'Ahab."

Thor pointed to the back the man's neck, "This."

"Burnt." Melody mumbled pressing her finger tips against the screen.

"Uh, it's a tattoo. I don't think he had it . . ." Tony shook his head.

"No, those are tattoos, this is a brand." Thor pointed to where Melody had touched the screen, as Bruce began to search up the strand branding.

"Oh, yeah. It's a word in an African dialect meaning thief, in a much less friendly way."

"What dialect?" Steve asked.

"Wakanada . . . ? Wa . . . Wa . . . Wakanda." Bruce sounded out the word, tilting his head to the side.

"If this guy got out of Wakanda with some of their trade goods . . ."

"I thought your father said he got the last of it?" Steve turned to Tony whose remained on the screen before looking to Steve.

"I don't follow. What comes out of Wakanda?"

"The strongest metal on earth."

𝓜elody walked alongside Kai into the large building. Her head tilted slightly causing the group to turn to her in confusion, shrugging the strange feeling away she nodded for them to continue. There was power in there, an odd sensation of power. The same feeling she had gotten when she had been with Loki. Which was a whole other story for another time.

"-Stark is, he's a sickness!" The voice of Ultron boomed throughout the room, his tone laced with disgust.

"Ahh, Junior." Tony tskd at the robot. "You're gonna break your old man's heart."

"If I have to."

"We don't have to break anything." Thor remarked.

"Clearly you've never made an omelet." Ultron retorted.

Tony pressed his lips into a thin line, "He beat me by one second."

"Or a few legs." Kai shrugged, cracking his neck.

"Ah, this is funny, Mr. Stark. It's what, comfortable? Like old times?" Pietro rose a brow from next to his sister who stared at Melody as she did the same in return.

"This was never my life." Tony denied.

Steve looked to the twins, "You two can still walk away from this."

"Oh, we will." Wanda bit back.

"I know you've suffered." Steve tried to reason with her.

"Uuughh! Captain America. God's righteous man, pretending you could live without a war. I can't physically throw up in my mouth, but . . ." Ultron gagged.

"If you truly do care about peace you won't do this. You'll stop this, everything." Melody pleaded from next to Kai and Thor.

"She's right." Thor nodded, "If you believe in peace, then let us keep it."

"I think you're confusing peace with quiet."

"Yuh-huh. What's the Vibranium for?" Tony questioned sassily.

"I'm glad you asked that, because I wanted to take this time to explain my evil plan!"

The Iron Legions began to attack the group.

Melody was thrown into the wall behind her, "I liked the Wizard Of Oz, but the Tin Man was much nicer then you!" She growled raising her hand before sending him across the room, it's chest being punctured by a led pipe. "Rude." She huffed.

Whipping her head around she widened her eyes as bullets began to be shot in her direction, she sprinted down the narrow beam. A body appeared before her. Gripping his wrist she elbowed the man in the face, hitting his wrist against the metal railings allowing his gun to drop to the floor below them. Grabbing his head she slammed him into the door to her left. "I'm sorry." She apologized before running off.

Gun fire rang through out the space. Robotic parts flew throughout the area.

Melody tilted her head feeling an odd sensation behind her, coming to a halt she spun around and was faced with one of the Maximoff twins. "You're like me." They said in unison.

Melody blinked at the girl; flashes of a broken building, cries of who she assumed to be her and her brother rang through her ears. "I'm so sorry." She whispered.

Wanda titled her head; flashes of a ship formed before her, a child screaming as a woman dropped dead in the water.

Suddenly Melody was flung back from Wanda and thrown down to the bottom floor. A steel rod impaling her thigh. A pained cry left Melody's lips as she placed her hand on the wound automatically.

"Melody!" Kai's voice exclaimed jumping from the third floor landing on his feet in front of Melody's body. "It's okay." He hushed her whilst examining her wound, his blue eyes now darkened at the metal, Atlantian Steel, "I'm going to kill every last one of them-"

Melody shook her head gripping his hands, "Are you hurt?" She asked looking him over, Kai shook his head as Melody wrapped her arms around his torso, engulfing him in a hug ignoring the pain she felt through her leg. "I'm so sorry." She whispered.

Kai's brows furrowed as he hugged her back tightly, "Shh, none of this is your fault."

"You shouldn't be here." She mumbled.

"Natasha, I could really use a lullaby. Melody? Somebody who can sing to angry Brucey would be great right about now." Tony said over his mic.

"Well, that's not gonna happen. Not for a while." Clint said looking around him seeing everyone down. "The whole team is down, you got no back up here."

Kai wrapped his hands around the rod before yanking it out, a cry left Melody's lips, tears cascaded down her cheeks slowly. Kai placed his hand onto her wound, a blue glow ignited his hand. A sigh left Melody as she began to slowly relax, "Come on." Kai murmured lifting a weakened Melody up, bridal style. "I've got you." He whispered walking towards the group.

Steve quickly stood up seeing her breathing heavily in the nymph's arms. A look of guilt ran through the former soldier's face.

"We have to get her to the Quinjet." Clint nodded to Melody, holding up a weak Natasha.

Arriving into the jet Melody was placed on to a table centre of the ship. Kai stood above her tending to her wound. Thor paced back and forth angry at himself for letting Wanda get into his mind and what he had saw. Natasha sat next to Melody holding her sweaty hand. Bruce sat with his legs into his chest rocking back and forth. Steve sat alone in the corner with his eyes shut, as he recalled everything that had occurred in the last hour.

Tony however stood next to Clint speaking to Maria Hill who told them they needed to stay low and away from everyone.

"Is she going to be okay?" Natasha weakly asked looking up at Kai whose thick brows were scrunched together as he placed a green paste onto her leg, his right hand hovered over the spot removing the pain she felt.

"Yes." He said, not in the mood to speak to anyone of the members of The Avengers other then the woman laying before him.

Natasha nodded squeezing Melody's hand in her own.

"Where are we going?" Tony asked Clint, alerting the group who to wondered the same thing.

"A safe house."
