━━━ THE WINTER SOLDIER,

𝓜elody, Steve, Sam, and Maria entered the Triskelion where the helicarriers were being held at. They had a full proof plan, coming up with an outcome for any twist or turn that could go south. And they were prepared to fight anyone who came in their path, even if it was a long lost friend. They were prepared.

Steve nodded to Melody signalling for her to do what she did best.

Her hums echoed through the speakers of the PA, slowly her voice began to rise and a sharp pitch hit the ear pieces of the computer technicians.

"Really gotta teach me that one day." Maria nodded to the brunette who smiled and nodded happily.

The four stood by the entry way waiting for the technician to appear. Melody nodded signalling he was coming, she stood back as the door opened revealing a stunned man. His dark eyes travelled between Sam and Maria who held up their guns at him, then to Melody's glowing hands then to Captain America himself.

"Excuse us." Steve smiled. The tech nods holding his hands up and steps aside to let them enter the room.

"Attention, all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. This is Steve Rogers. You've heard a lot about me over the last few days, some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time you know the truth. S.H.I.E.L.D. is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you. They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those Helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way, unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high, it always has been, and it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not." He said proudly and full of hope.

Melody let out a small smile proud of the man across from her.

"Did you write that down first, or was it off the top of your head?" Sam joked but nodded at the soldier confidently.

"Now what?" Melody asked out loud looking between the trio.

"Now, we wait." Steve nodded as Maria sorted through the computer's database.

Maria announced, "They initiated the launch."

"So, we shouldn't wait." Melody nodded, "Plan B."

"Plan B." Sam nodded in confirmation.

"𝓗ey, Cap, how do we know the good guys from the bad guys?" Sam questioned as he, Melody and Steve ran towards the carriers.

"If they're shooting at you, they're bad." Steve shrugged slightly.

Nodding Sam flew up engaging on the agents below him.

"Go." Steve nodded to Melody who jumped over the ledge and dove into the water below them.

She swam quickly, "I've got eyes." She said before her body sprang up from the water, her boot covered feet now stood on the waves as they grew higher and higher mimicking a tsunami.

Her head whipped around as shots were shot towards her. "Bad guys. Definitely bad guys." She said raising her hand towards them a large wave hit the carriers where agents of HYDRA shot at the woman. "Time for a swim, fishes." She giggled as they slipped towards the water, "Snack time, boys." She smiled as shark fins came into view, shrieks echoed from the men as the large grey creatures approached them in the water.

"Everything okay, Mel?" Steve shouted over the earpiece.

"Considering she just took out the entirety of the base below us, I'd say she's doing a damn good job." Sam announced, "Coming in, Cap. Be ready." Sam said flying after Steve's falling body to drop him off on the helicarrier.

"Six minutes." Maria called out over the mic.

Melody approached the carrier and placed her card into the slot, "All clear." She announced before diving off the carrier, "Sam?"

"Coming in behind you, Shortie." Sam said flying with Steve who grabbed onto Melody's hand the three landed swiftly onto the carrier.

"You know, you're a lot heavier than you look." Sam breathed out as he walked next to Steve whose cheeks tinted pink at the comment.

"I had a big breakfast." He defended himself.

Just then a figure appeared behind the crates throwing Steve off the ledge.

"Steve!" Melody began to rush after him only for her to be grabbed by her long locks and was flung into Sam knocking him down. "Go!" She shouted rolling off of Sam, demanding he go get Steve.

Hesitantly he stood up and began to lift off only for the soldier to grab his wings and throw him back. Sam begins to shoot at the Winter Soldier who then ripped his wing off before kicking him off the Helicarrier.

Melody's eyes widened. Growling she stood to her feet before sprinting over to The Winter Soldier knocking him down to the ground. "You have to remember!" She demanded sending a punch to his jaw. "Let me in!" She demanded placing her fingertips against his forehead.

The Winter Soldier grasped her wrist and twisted it before she could look into his mind or try to salvage a memory of some sort. "I'm not Bucky." He growled, sending his fist to her nose before throwing her down harshly her head bouncing off the crate, as a silver liquid dripped from the back of her head and nose.

"Ow." She growled standing shakily to her feet running towards him sending numerous shots his way, some of which he dodged gaining the advantage and hitting her back.

Grabbing the hilt of his vest, Melody shoved the soldier back across the jet into a crate. Her eyes darkened as a emerald glow ignited from her hands raising them she sent shards of glass from the large windows behind her towards him.

Running for cover he dodged the shards and hid from the nymph.

Melody looked around and narrowed her hearing for the man's heartbeat or ragged breathing.

Hearing fumbling behind one of the large crates she stealthily approached it only for her to be thrown through the metal wall.

"Oставайся вниз." The soldier's gruff voice demanded as he stalked away from the nymph and down to Captain America.

"Cap? Cap, come in. Are you okay? Melody?" Sam's voice echoed through her earpiece.

"Yeah, I'm here! I'm still on the Helicarrier." Steve's voice responded. "Where are you guys?"

"I'm grounded, the suit's down." He explained.

"Don't worry, I got it." Steve assured him.

"Cap, Mel's still up there. She's with him." Sam said over the mic, regret laced in his voice.

Steve's brows furrowed before he turned around seeing The Winter Soldier standing across from him, Melody no where in sight. "Where is she Buck?" He questioned, only receiving a stoic look from the Soldier. "People are going to die, I can't let that happen. Please, don't make me do this." He pleaded looking to his best friend. Watching as he won't back down, he sent his shield at him only for him to catch it and throw it down.

The two then began fighting each other, as they fought Steve managed to bring up the targeting blade system, as Bucky attacks him the chip falls from Steve's hand.

Bucky stabbed Steve in the shoulder with his knife and then reached for the fallen chip, once Steve manages to get the knife out; he then grabbed Bucky by the throat and threw him down, arm-locking him."Drop it! Drop it!" He shouted as The Winter Soldier continues to hold the chip, Steve breaks his arm a pained cry left his throat. The soldier passes out in Steve's hold who then grabs the chip and rushes off.

"Three minutes." Maria panicked over the mic. Steve desperately tries to get back up to the Helicarriers to get to the targeting system when The Winter Soldier awakes and gets a clean shot at Steve in the left thigh and then the right shoulder. "Two minutes, Cap!"

"Stand by. Charlie . . ." He begins as a shot was sent his way into his abdomen. The soldier stalked towards Steve who laid weakly against the wall.

"Get away from him." Melody's voice rang through the opened area.

"Ты не сдаешься, не так ли?" The soldier questioned, a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Никогда." Melody responded back with a glare. The man blinked at her, "Yeah that's right I had a little time to brush up on my Russian whilst we weren't fighting. Even if Natasha did have to help me." She pursed her lips.

Shaking her head focusing on what was occurring before her, "Oh, and . . ." She walked towards him with a glare now, "I am not a little girl." She snarled before sprinting towards him as he did the same.

Melody speared him through the rails onto the glass windows below them, sending numerous shots to his head. "Steve! Get up!" Melody shouted as she was thrown backwards.

Whipping her head up she glared running forwards blocking the soldier's hits before kicking him down to the ground. Kicking her feet she fell backwards landing on her back. She gasped as his metal hand gripped her throat, "I don't care if your arm is shiny, you're rude!" She growled hitting her forehead against his own roughly.

During the two's fight Steve finally managed to get up and place the chip in the Helicarrier's targeting the blade, overriding the system and locking it down. "Charlie locked."

"Okay, Cap, get yourselves of there." Maria instructed.

Steve stood up looking down at the two who fought against each other. "Fire now." He demanded before climbing down.

"But, Steve . . ."

"Do it! I'm sending Melody down. Get her! Do it now!" Reluctantly Maria makes the Helicarriers open fire on each other, Steve jumps down before hitting his shield against The Winter Soldier's head sending him down. Steve grabbed Melody and helped her up, "Thank you." He whispered, glancing over to his best friend who stumbled to his feet. "Maria, now." He ordered.

Melody's brows furrowed as Steve shoved her out of the Helicarrier backwards. A scream left her lips as she looked up seeing Bucky attack Steve from behind, pulling him back.

An arm grasped onto her forearm as she hung from the helicopter she looked up seeing Sam holding on to her. "I got you." He said hoisting her up inside. "I got you, kid."

Melody's watery eyes looked out the window where the Helicarrier began to fall from the sky and into the water. Her eyes breamed with tears before her jaw clenched.

"Land this, now." She demanded looking to Fury who sent a look of disbelief towards the nymph, "Now!"

"Are you joking? She's joking right?" Fury looked back to Sam who looked at Melody in confusion.

"Fine, I'll get him myself." She said before pushing Sam back and leaping out of the helicopter and into the water.

Melody swam through the water looking for any sign of Steve. Listening closely she heard two heart beats. Her brows furrowed as she swam towards the sound, she popped her head from the water seeing Steve being dragged to shore by non other then Bucky Barnes.

Melody stalked up behind him warily just as he whipped around staring at the brunette who raised her hands in surrender.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I came for him." She said quietly looking to Steve.

Bucky nodded slowly, his eyes trailing to Steve's features.

"You're you?" She asked walking hesitantly towards him as he stepped back from her, her brows furrowed as she looked into his ocean eyes which were no longer stoic or emotionless. But held Fear. "You're frightened. I won't hurt you." She said softly, before glancing behind her to the smoke filled sky. "You're free now." She whispered turning back and looking up at him.

He eyed her warily.

"Don't tell." He uttered so low, Melody thought she had imagined it. She looked to Steve then to Bucky who wore a pleading look in his eyes, "Please."

She knew Steve would be upset that Bucky was gone once again. But the man before wasn't stable nor entirely himself. He was in danger, and if he stayed with them everyone would know his whereabouts and he'd be in constant danger. He was seen as a killer, not a hero. So, her answer was not only to protect the broken man in front of her but the one who laid on the dirt next to her.

"I promise."

Bucky looked back to Steve then to the unknown girl before turning around and walking into the forest. Once he was out of her sight, Melody leant next to Steve and placed her finger tips against his forehead, a light hum left her lips as he gasped.

"Melody?" He coughed clutching his chest.

"Shh, you're okay." She whispered, "You're okay." She said softly as his eyes fluttered shut. "I need medical attention by the bay, Rogers is down." She said into her wrist.

"We're on our way." Maria said over her earpiece. "Stay put."

Melody continued to hum, lifting Steve's upper body and laying his head in her lap. She brushed his wet blonde hair away from his forehead, her doe eyes trailed to the tree lining seeing a dark figure watching the two.

He'll be okay.

She nodded to the man before turning her attention back to the man in her arms.

i wrote the movie in five chapters omg i swear i'll stretch it out for the next chapters! so obviously bucky won't be in AGE OF ULTRON, but he will be? like i'll be including him and mel so you see their relationship develop because a lot's gonna happen leading up to CIVIL WAR between them. of course as well as BLACK PANTHER, INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME. etc. so be patient wit me cause a lot of the chapters may be fillers ♡
