Chapter = 9

Despite having a nervous demeanor the female kohli walked up towards the man whom she presumed to be someone whom she's been crushing over for years. Gathering up her whole courage she put her hand on the seated person.

The male turned right away to find the source of the touch ," Areey Vaani ?? What are you doing here ?" the lad asked the female while getting up from his seat.

He did waited for a while for Vaani to answer but to no avail as she kept quite while her face hang low. The face that holds much beauty was now the palest," What's wrong Van ?" this time Dhanush asked with softness.

" I don't want to marry you! " coming out quite suddenly this statement of Vaani confused Dhanush but what more it did was disappoint. But he regulate his demeanor and asked ,"What do you mean ?"

" I know that our parents has set us to marry eachother *sigh* but I don't think we should accept this proposal ... I clearly don't think it's a best idea " Vaani said then looked anywhere but to him.

" Why so rude Van? ... And i didn't know that the girl was you ... if I had knew about it then I would have spoken to you about it" Dhanush still remained his soft demeanor.

A loud thunderstroke could be heard along with a light. All the customer inside the café screamed and started to run here and there but Dhanush and Vaani remained on there position.

" I didn't wanted to sound rude Dhanush but I really don't think we should move forward to this phenomenon *sigh* actually I'm already seeing someone else and I want to spend the rest of my life with that person only" Vaani confessed and another thunderstoke landed with much louder sound and light.

Dhanush has long ago contemplated the thought of getting Vaani and Shubman closer cause the very first day when he saw Vaani in the café after three long years with Shubman he witnessed something that made him realised that there is an unspoken love and closeness they share which they themselves are not aware of.

Dhanush had witnessed love in both Shubman's and Vaani's eye for eachother that day ,"Is that so ?? Who's the guy ? *Vaani was about to say something * let me guess!! Shubman Gill ... isn't he ?"

And It's the time when Vaani felt that her tounge got stuck on her throat. Another loud thunderstroke could be heard and a very strong rain was dropping outside. The torrential raining was drenching eveyone and everything out there.

" What happened? It's Shubman isn't it ??? come on tell me answer me Vaani ... where is you voice?" Dhanush literally screamed at her. He has his arms tightly gripped on her both shoulders while shaking her.

Finally Vanni came to her sense and pushed Dhanush harshly away from her ," Don't ever raise you voice at me ... and it's clearly not you business whom I'm dating and not ... mind your business and never show me your face again" Vaani bursed out on him then ran out of the café.

Dhanush stood there dumbfounded but little did he was smiling. He grinned more then spoke to himself,"I wish you a good life with him Van"

Here Vaani came out of the café . The view outside of the café was like a under water scene. Torrentially it was raining, there was water on the road up to ankles and cherry on the top is thunderstroke.

Vaani noticed that she don't have an umbrella and moreover the car was also gone, she sighed the took out her cell phone to contact with Shubman. He was the very first person to come to her mind.

She dialed his number numerous times but he won't pick up so she called her brother to ask if he knows anything but Virat also hasn't had any contact with Shubman nonetheless he asked about the meeting but Vaani cut him off by hanging the call.

Later she called Ishan but he aslo couldn't gave her a satisfied answered. At this moment Vaani felt so frustrated and angry. She could feel the water that her eye sockets were holding are streaming down through her eyes as a sign of worry for Shubman.

At last she came to an salutation, she press the live location of Shubman on her phone then started running just the way her map was saying.

As it was raining crazily there was none on the road which made it easier for Vaani to run. She was running continuously, her foots were aching but she didn't stopped.

At this point Vaani looked devastated. She from head to toe was drenched in water, her hair were soaked in water, her footwear was in a state to be broken in any minute.

While running and searching for Shubman she came across to an area where she could she a car being brutally damaged parked in front of a large tree. To observe clearly she went near then watched the car.

There she felt chills ran down her spin as this car was horribly familiar to the one Shubman was driving his way to here. Vaani opened the drivers car door and leaned inside. There she found the spiderman keychain hanging with the view mirror.

Horror filled her body she sat down on the car and called Shubman numerous times but he won't pick up and at the end it says ,"The number your trying to reach is switched off "

" What the- ... why Shubman why ? why aren't you picking up my calls?" Vaani broke down in tears, she cried out like a mad women. The water droplets of the rain started to fall heavily on the road. No human even dogs were seen on the roads.

Wiping her tears Vaani came out from the car and closed the door. The car started to make sound. Vaani leaned her back on the car and started breathe heavily. Crouching down on the street Vaani hold up her hair. Her yellow kurti now has turned brown because of the mud. The car was constantly making sounds which was kinda irritating Vaani but suddenly it stopped.

She was about to got up but stopped hearing a voice spoke ," What are you doing here ?" She knows who the voice belong to. The voice belong to Shubman Gill.

Vaani hurriedly rose up from her spot and looked ahead ," Shubman " she whispered. Knowing the situation very well Vaani still ran ans hugged him tightly.

" Ohh Shubman ... Thank god you are fine ... the way the car was damaged I thought something might have happened to you " Vaani holds his back of the shirt tightly while hugging. Shubman was a bit hesitant but did hugged her back.

" You didn't answered my question... what are you doing here in this heavy rain, huh? You have a very low tolerance of cold ... you might catch cold if you keep standing here" Shubman concerned.

Vaani burried her face inro his chest ," I'm with you nothing bad can happen " She replied and tightened her grip if possible.

" Van-" Shubman uttered but Vaani shushed him. They stayed like that for a while then Shubman again broke the silence,"What happened in the café with Dhanush?" Vaani opened her eyes then answered.

" I said no " Vaani whispered but enough for Shubman to hear. He couldn't believe his ears so he pulled away from the hug then ask her again ," You seriously said him no ... like seriously? you said no to him ? am I hearing you right Van ??"

Vaani couldn't hold back her laugh and said ," Why does it seems like you are happy Shub ?" she teased the younger boy , who happen to feel embarrassed.

" N-no no ... I didn't meant that ... I was just shocked " He tried to defend himself but faild miserably. Vaani laughed hard this time bringing a smile on Shubman's face.

" You should be happy Shub ... cause I refused him just for ..... you " Vaani said while locking her eyes with him. Shubman was clueless he just stood and looked at her being dumbfounded.

" Remember shub ... when you proposed me during your U-19 period ... and how unhumanly I refused you by giving a condition ... That time what you said was right ... I did mixed up love with business ... what could I've done that time Shub ... I was madly in love with Dhanush ... few days ago also I was taking his name here and there but the day he came and I got to know that he's going to be the guy mom has arranged for me I lost everything ... I should have been happy right cause I love Dhanush but no I didn't find a single drop of happiness with him what I find with you " Vaani stopped to take some breathe. Despite the heavy rain Shubman could still see the tears rolling down from Vaani's eyes.

" Shubman I'm sorry ... I-i I was blind that I couldn't saw your pure love for me ... Please Shubman give me a chance ... I'll prove myself " Vaani cried while kneeling down holding Shubman's legs.

Shubman quickly picked her up saying ,"Have you gone mad why are you touching my feet? * sighed * Van see ... willingly or not but you've hurt me many times but still I loved you and I will love you forever but still I want my compensation ... You've to earn my love Van ... you've to do all those things that a lover does for her/his partner *Vaani looked at him* I know I might sound rude or maybe toxic but it's my compensation Van ... I also want to feel this way .... please *puppy eyes*"

Vaani chuckled looking at him ," I thought you will be angry or hurt but look at you, your behaving like a babyy ... oops my baby " Vaani pinched his cheeks . Shubman blushed in a crimson colour which made Vaani chuckled a bit .

They hugged eachother again and stayed that way. A new love started began right away ... two souls which were hungry for love meet eachother today ... the broken car, the tree, the road and most importantly the rain witnessed it.
