"I'm telling you! We're soulmates, we were definitely a hot power couple in our past lives." Dylan spoke as she walked down the hallway, speaking to Ned. People down the hallway bumped into her, though to the naked eye it seemed as though she didn't see them. Dylan Manslaket was a wide eyed, absent minded girl. She lived in her own little world, it was impossible not to see the way it danced within her eyes.

"You keep telling yourself that." Ned huffed, waving her off as the announcement about Homecoming rung above them, "In no universe did you power couple with a superhero!"

"Yes I did!" Dylan defend herself, slapping him harshly on the arm. Peter Parker came into view rather quickly, making Dylan's eyes light up as she grabbed his sweater arm quickly, "Peter, tell Ned that I could pull Spider-man and that we're definitely soulmates."

"S-Spider-man?" Peter stumbled over his world, looking over his shoulder at her as he pushed his books into his locker, "What are you talking about?"

"She's been talking about him all morning, break the news to her so she'll leave me alone." Ned sighed, slapping Peter in the shoulder. The Parker boy stared at Dylan who gave a pleading look.

"I think you'd have a great chance with him, Dyl." he grinned, only getting a groan of disbelief from Ned.

"Thank you!" Dylan spoke loudly as she glared at Ned, "I take Peters word over yours anyways."

"Why are you talking about S-Spider man?" Peter asked. Dylan didn't bother to take notice of how worried and on edge he seemed, red in the face and almost sweating. She didn't notice things like that often. Not because she was selfish, but because she knew he was a complete and total weirdo.

"Ugh maybe because he came to me in my dream." Dylan spoke in disbelief. Peter frowned his eyebrows at her, earning a eye roll, "I had a dream he saved me from a bunch of building sized roaches."

"You hate roaches." Peter nodded his head, "Did you see who he was or- or are you just making a wild guess? Because if you saw someone in your dream it's probably extremely inaccurate and far from anything like how he actually-"

"He had the mask on and didn't say anything to me." Dylan cut the ramble short with a sad sigh, "I guess i'll never know what my soulmate looks like."

"It was one dream, that doesn't make you soulmates!" Ned groaned at her in complete annoyance. Peter cracked a grin at the hopeless arguing, knowing nothing he would say could break them apart.

"God Ned, do you not pay attention to the messages I send to the group chat?" Dylan spoke in disbelief. Ned shook his head, only getting a huff, "I heard a theory that if you dream about someone, they definitely thought about you before going to sleep. And who do you think about before going to sleep? Your soulmate!"

"You know what I think about?" Ned asked as he dug into his pocket and pulled out a small lego that he held before Peters face, "Join me and together we'll build my lego Deathstar."

Dylan threw her hands up in disbelief, shutting Peters locker for him as he turned to Ned with wide eyes, "What?"

"So lame." a girl from a few lockers down spoke.

"Hey! Stacy, Tracey, and Kasey!" Dylan called out with a sarcastic smile before pretending to pull something from her pocket, only to pull it out and reveal her middle finger. Dylan earned a scoff from the girls as Peter grabbed her hand and pulled it back down.

"No way, that's awesome." the Parker boy gushed to Ned, keeping Dylan's hand in his a moment while adjusting his books under his arm, "How many piece?"

"Three thousand, eight hundred, and three." Ned spoke back with a raise of his eyebrows.

"Can't forget that three." Dylan spoke with a wink.

"That's insane." Peter grinned as the trio headed down the hallway.

"I know." Ned giggled with a wide grin, "Wanna build it tonight? Dylan thinks waiting on her roof for Spider-Man is more interesting."

"Oh, I can't tonight. I got the Stark-" Peter began to make the excuse before Ned jumped in.

"Mhm, Stark Internship." the duos best friend nodded his head with a minor mocking tone.

"Yeah, exactly." Peter spoke quickly as he scratched the back of his head, stopping when he noticed Dylan had paused to look up at the Homecoming poster board. He reached back and pulled her to walk besides him again. Dylan had always had a short attention span, getting distracted by the smallest of things and not realizing it until someone had to snap her out of it.

"Always got that internship." Ned nodded him head knowingly, keeping a nice walking pace from the other side of Peter.

"Yeah, well, hopefully soon it'll lead to a real job with him." Peter spoke hopefully, giving a shrug and feeling the smallest of guilt for always backing out on his friends.

"Yeah, then Peter will get us a one bedroom apartment with no roaches. I just now got that horrible bug spray smell out. Talk about getting a little to close and comfortable with New York's weather every night." Dylan cringed, shutting her eyes and doing a dramatic shake of her shoulder, "I hate roaches."

"Why do you guys only have a one bedroom apartment in this fantasy? And how do you know there will be no roaches?" Ned spoke up again, leaning past Peter to look at Dylan knowing.

"Because Peter will make sure we have enough money to be roach free." Dylan spoke as if Ned was stupid for asking. Her arm went around Peter quickly as he grunted when she tightened it around him, "And we like to cuddle, don't judge."

"No judge here." Ned spoke as he rose his hands in defense, "That job would be so sweet though."

"Right?" Peter agreed with a nod as Dylan let him go, "And of course i'll get us a roach free apartment, Dylan. But you gotta let that death grip go, I move a lot when I sleep."

"I know, that's why I death grip you." Dylan said with a crazy look his way.

"He'll be all, 'Good job on those spread sheets, Peter. Here's a gold coin.' I don't know how jobs work." Ned cringed at his own words of mocking Tony Stark.

"That's exactly how they work." Peter grinned his way.

"Exactly." Dylan nodded in agreement.

"Oh." Ned giggled as the pair shared a look at his gullible, "I'll knock out the basic bones of the Deathstar at my place and then i'll come by after. Because-"

"Ned." Dylan cut him off when she realized Peter had stopped listened as his eyes locked at the end of the hall, "He's no longer in there."

Liz walked down the hallway, talking to two girls behind her. She made eye contact with Peter a moment before looking away and walking down the hallway. Dylan shook her head at the hopeless crush, glancing at her friend and giving a hard pull to his ear, "She probably thinks you stand outside of her house now."

"What?" Peter asked alarmed quickly with wide eyes.

"That stare really had the stalker type to it, i'm just saying." Dylan told him with a raise of her hands, showing her defense, "If she happens to call the Queens PD on you, don't cry to me and ask me to hold you."

"Would you hold me if I cried to you?" Peter asked her with a soft smile.

"Obviously but that's beyond the point." Dylan waved him off quickly.

"Aw, Dyl, that's so sweet." Peter gushed at her words, "I read all your conspiracy theory test messages in the group chat."

"Aw, Peter, that's so sweet." Dylan mocked his words with a hand to her heart, just as the bell rung above them.
