"Cmon, you didn't even say anything?" Peter asked in disbelief as he sat with Dylan at lunch, "I thought you were in love with him?"
"I am." Dylan sighed as she dropped her head on his shoulder with a whine, "I got nervous! He was just right there, letting me touch his face! You think he loves me back?"
"I think-" Peter began before Ned walked past them, his cheeks blown and with wide eyes. Dylan gave a odd look as he avoided looking at her.
"Is Ned mad at me? He completely dodged my group text this morning too." Dylan spoke up, leaning off of Peters shoulder and looked behind her to catch Ned hurrying out of the cafeteria completely.
"I think he's just upset about us not helping with the Deathstar." Peter shook his head in reassurance toward her. Dylan began whining again over her lack of communication with Spider-Man, dropping her head back on Peters shoulder.
Dylan glared at the back of Liz's head, listening to her admit to kind of having a crush of Spider-Man. Dylan tapped her foot annoyingly, her laptop in her lap as her gym clothes clung to her.
"I don't care, I would still love him for the person he is on the inside." Liz commented after her friend asked what she'd do if he was seriously burned. Dylan rolled her eyes as she slammed her laptop shut.
"Peter knows Spider-Man!" Ned yelled out from the mat. Dylan slapped her forehead quickly as she hid her face.
The whole gym fell silent as Peter shuffled to his feet, "Ugh, no I don't. No- I mean-"
"They're friends!" Ned spoke up again in the nearly silent gym. Dylan gave him a stupid look, throwing her hands up in the air in disbelief.
"Yeah, like Coach Wilson and Captain America are friends." Flash joked as he came down from the rope.
"I-Ive met him." Peter stumbled. Dylan stared at him in disbelief a moment, annoyance and betrayal spread across her face as she stuffed her laptop into her bag, "Yeah, a couple times. But it's, um, through the Stark internship."
"Peter! What the hell?" Dylan hollered at him, jogging down the bleachers and swinging her bag over her shoulder, "You've met him and didn't bother to tell me?"
"It had to be a secret!" Peter defended himself quickly, red in the face and a begging manor in his eyes, "I would if I could."
"But you can announce it to the whole gym class?" Dylan asked with a dumbfounded look. Peter gave a tight lipped smile as his ears turned a bright red.
"Well, that's awesome. Hey, you know what? Maybe you should invite him to Liz's party." Flash mocked as he walked over, standing next to Dylan and nodded toward Liz, "And i'll bring Dylan."
"No." was all Dylan said.
"Yeah, um, i'm having people over tonight and you're more then welcome to come." Liz said with a sweet smile toward Peter, his eyes wide.
Dylan faked a gag, "Kill me now."
"You're having a party?" Peter questioned in a low voice.
"Yeah, it's going to be dope. You should totally invite your personal friend Spider-Man." Flash joked as he left Dylan's side to walk closer to Peter. The Parker boy stumbled over his words slightly.
"It's okay. I know Peter is way to busy for parties anyway so." Liz shrugged with a mocking look his way. Dylan looked over at Peter, waiting to see what he says.
"Oh, cmon. He'll be there, right Parker?" Flash spoke up again with a nod of his head. The bell rung above them, making everyone spread out. Dylan rolled her eyes, turning on her heels and hurrying out of gym.
"Dylan!" Peter called after her as he jogged to catch up, "Dyl! Dylan, wait for me."
"Wouldn't wanna hold you back, you've got a party to get ready for." she spoke petty like, walking down the hallway. Gym was her last class and she always had to hurry toward the subway to catch it for her way home, never having the time to change out of her gym clothes.
"I didn't say I was gonna go." Peter nodded in head, walking fast to keep up with her quick strides.
Dylan scoffed in disbelief, "You're clearly going to go."
"Is that why you're mad? You don't want me to go?" he asked her quickly, close behind and taking a deep breath to keep up with her, "Not about the Spider-Man thing?"
Dylan blinked, realizing she forgot all about Peter knowing Spider-Man after Liz brought up him coming to her party.
"I won't go if you don't want me to." Peter tried to reason when she ignored him.
"I don't care if you want to go to Liz's party." Dylan snapped at him quickly and turning on her heels to look at him. She didn't know where the sudden anger came from and she didn't like it one bit, "Why would I?"
Peter didn't answer her, only sighing when Dylan hurried down the steps of the school toward the subway.
