Maisie's POV:

I walked in my hotel room and closed the door behind me, closing my eyes and letting out a sigh.

"Mais." I heard a voice and jumped slightly. "Are you okay?" Chi asked concerned as she walked towards me, getting up from the bed.

"No." I replied and she furrowed her brows. "I kissed George." I spoke and she raised her eyebrows.

"And that's bad?" She spoke, excited.

"Yes." I replied and she tilted her head.

"Why?"

"Because I like Lando." I finally admitted. "I like him a lot." I added and pursed my lips.

"Oh Maisie." She pulled me in a hug and I wrapped my arms around her.

"How am I supposed to tell him I kissed his friend? He's gonna hate me." I spoke frustrated and Chi rubbed my back comforting me.

"He's not."

"What if he does?" I looked at her, scared.

I was genuinely scared of losing him. I know I did everything to push him away but that was before I realized how much I want him close. How much I had actually fallen for him.

"Then you move on." She spoke and I took a Dee breath.

It was race day. Chi and I made our way to the McLaren pitbox. Guilt was eating me up alive. I needed to tell him.

I couldn't keep lying to him. Not him.

We were immediately greeted by Zak.

"It's great to see you girls." He greeted us. "And Mais, are you gonna be Lando's lucky charm today again?" He asked and I forced a smile.

"I hope so." I replied and he chuckled. Chi smiled and rubbed my shoulder.

"Maisie Findlay." I heard a voice and I felt a chill run up my spine. "Chi." He looked at her and she smiled raising her eyebrows.

"Hey Lan." I smiled as I met his blue eyes and his radiant smile. He furrowed his brows slightly at my response.

"Are you okay? Did you hit your head on the way in?" He joked and I chuckled softly.

"No, I..." I made a pause looking at Chi and she nodded, telling me to tell him. "I actually need to talk to you." I spoke and his smile dropped a little bit.

"Sure, about what?" He asked confused.

"I..." I started but was cut off by the crowd.

They were chanting his name. He looked behind him and chuckled excited.

"Do you hear that?" He spoke excited.

"Yeah." I smiled softly. "They love you." I nudged him slightly and he chuckled.

"Who wouldn't?" He joked and I smiled rolling my eyes. "I actually want you to meet someone." He spoke and I furrowed my brows confused. I looked at Chi.

"I'll wait for you here." She gave us a thumbs up.

"Thanks Chi." Lando smiled at her. He grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers.

"Who am I meeting?" I asked confused.

He stopped besides a man and tapped his shoulder. The man turned around and smiled.

"Dad, this is Maisie Findlay. Maisie, my dad." He introduced us.

My blood ran cold as remorse hit me, making my heart drop to my stomach.

"Adam Norris, Lando has told me a lot about you." He put out his hand.

"Has he?" I smiled looking at Lando as I shook his dad's hand.

He shrugged smiling and I chuckled softly.

"Lando, you should start getting ready." A mechanic told him.

"Yeah, just give me a second." He replied and the mechanic nodded. "What did you want to tell me Mais?" He asked.

"Oh..." I looked at him and then at his dad. "Nothing important, you should get ready for your race. Good luck." I rubbed his shoulder.

"Will you be my lucky charm?" He asked smiling.

"Of course." I smiled and his smiled widened.

"Go get them champ." I rubbed his arm and he put his hand over mine, squeezing it before walking away.

I watched him walk away and swallowed hard.

"I'm kinda nervous he's starting from the front." His dad spoke and I looked at him.

"He'll do amazing, I know it." I told him and he smiled.

"I'm glad he has your support. He has such a dorky smile on his face when you're around." He chuckled and I chuckled softly.

"Lando Norris leads the British Grand Prix."

"Oh my God!" I exclaimed excited and Chi clapped chuckling.

"Lando is leading!" Adam yelled excited.

I saw my face on the screen once again. I smiled and raised my index finger. Chi chuckled waving.

The camera went back to Lando's car. Lando managed to cross the line on second place, getting on the podium.

Everyone in the garage celebrated and hugged each other.

"Let's go to the podium. Lando will want to see you there." Adam put his hand on my shoulder and I smiled nodding.

Lando's POV:

I got out of my car and ran to my mechanics. They patted my back and changed my name as I chuckled, feeling the euphoria of the moment.

I saw my dad and immediately went in to hug him.

"I made it, dad!" I yelled and he chuckled.

"You made it!" He rubbed my back and put his hand on my shoulders, giving me a proud look.

I turned and saw Maisie. My face lit up with a huge smile when I saw her clapping.

"Maisie Findlay!" I yelled and went in to hug her.

She chuckled wrapping my arms around my neck as I wrapped my arms around her waist. I lifted her up slightly and heard her laugh.

"My luck charm." I put my hands on her shoulders.

"You did it all by yourself Mr. Norris." She put her hands on my helmet.

"Congratulations Lando." Chi spoke and I chuckled.

"ChiaraChi." I teased giving her a short hug and she chuckled patting my back.

"You did a great job." She smiled tilting her head.

"Thanks to your friend." I pointed at Maisie and she chuckled.

Maisie's POV:

"I wasn't able to tell him. I couldn't ruin his moment like that." I spoke and Chi sighed.

"I know, you're in a really difficult position right now." She rubbed my shoulder and I bit my under lip slightly.

"Why do I always have to mess it up?" I spoke frustrated.

I heard cheering and turned around seeing Lando walk in the garage. Oscar congratulating him. He had a bottle of champagne.

He looked at me and walked towards me with a smile on his face. I was scared this would be one of the last times he looked at me like that.

"Maisie Findlay!" He yelled wrapping his arm around me, and I just let him. "Will you go celebrate with us?" He asked pointing at Oscar and him.

"It's going to rain and I..."

"Bah bah bah." He cut me off and I rolled my eyes smiling. "Let me rephrase. You will go to celebrate with us." He spoke and I raised my eyebrows.

"Come on Mais." Oscar insisted too.

"Fine." I agreed and they smiled.

"Carlos is gonna be there too." Lando looked at Chi and she chuckled.

"Then count me in." She spoke shrugging.

We were gonna celebrate at the hotel's bar. It was by the lobby. Chi and I walked out of the elevator.

"Maisie." I heard a voice and turned around seeing George. "Can we talk?" He asked looking at Chi and then at me.

"I'll go to the bar. I'll see you there." Chi spoke and I nodded. She smiled at George before walking away and he smiled back.

George took a deep breath and looked around to make sure no one was around to hear us.

"Lando hasn't punched me in the face so...you haven't told him, have you?" He asked and I sighed shaking my head.

"He was so happy today, I didn't want to ruin that for him I just..."

"Mais." He cut me off putting his hands on my shoulders. "It's okay, I'm not pressuring you, I understand." He spoke and I closed my eyes for a second.

"We should go in." I spoke pointing towards the bar's direction and he nodded.

"Let's go." He agreed.

Lando's POV:

"For a home Grand Prix to remember." Lewis raised his glass.

"Cheers mate."

"I'm Australian but cheers to that!" Oscar exclaimed as we clinked our glasses and we laughed.

I took the shot and felt my throat burn. I shook my head trying to shake off the horrible taste. Suddenly, I saw Maisie and George walk in together.

George quickly went in to say hello to Alex and Charles, while Maisie walked towards Oscar, Lewis, and I.

"Mais, do you want a shot? This are good." Oscar spoke, his words slurry.

"How are you drunk, you have only taken two shots?" Lewis chuckled looking at Oscar.

"His alcohol tolerance is a shame to the Aussies." Maisie joked and Lewis and I chuckled.

"Hey." Oscar looked at her offended.

"I will have one shot." She spoke and I smiled extending my hand. She grabbed it and I pulled her in.

"A shot for her, please." Lewis ordered and the bartender nodded.

The bartender gave me her shot and I thanked him. I extended the glass to Maisie with a smile on my face.

"For my lucky charm." I raised my glass and she chuckled softly.

We all clinked our drinks and she took the shot. She grimaced at the taste and we clapped.

Suddenly, the upbeat music switched to Say Yes to Heaven by Lana Del Rey.

I looked at Carlos and he smiled giving me a thumbs up. Chi besides her looked at Maisie.

"Will you dance with me?" I looked at Maisie and she chuckled throwing her head back.

Maisie's POV:

"Will you dance with me?" His eyes glowed with the lights. I chuckled throwing my head back.

"Lando." I shook my head but her grabbed both my hands.

"Guess it's you and me Oscar." Lewis spoke and Lando chuckled.

He guided me towards the center and put his hand on my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I looked around and met George's worried eyes. I swallowed hard and laid my head on Lando's chest.

If this was gonna be our last moment I wanted to enjoy it. I wanted to enjoy it before he hates me forever.

I took in a deep breath smelling his cologne. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer to him if that was possible. He leaned his chin on the top of my head softly.

I closed my eyes feeling tears forming in my eyes. He place a kiss on the top of my head and I looked up at him. He looked at me concerned when he saw my teary eyes.

"What's wrong?" He whispered putting his hands on my face.

"Lando." I whispered, my voice cracking. "I've been wanting to tell you something." I spoke taking his hands off my face softly.

"Mais, you're scaring me." His eyes examined my features like he was trying to figure out.

"I..." I paused looking around and met George's eyes. He swallowed hard and nodded. "George and I kissed." I let out and saw his whole face change.

"What?" He asked taking a step back, I could see the heartbreak in his eyes. "What...when?" He asked furrowing his brows.

"Last night." I swallowed hard, trying to keep the tears in my eyes.

He sighed looking down.

"Lando." I called him and he shook his head. He turned around and walked away. "Lando!" I yelled and looked around.

Everyone was looking at us. I looked at George and he looked down. Carlos looked confused and concerned at the same time. Chi swallowed hard.

"Fuck." I whispered and walked quickly to follow Lando. I spotted him walking towards the exit of the hotel. "Lando!" I yelled but he kept walking.

He walked out and I kept following him. It was pouring outside. I felt the rain hit me, instantly soaking me.

"Lando!" I yelled and he finally stopped, turning around.

"What Maisie?" He asked and I pursed my lips. "What do you want me to say?"

"Nothing. I'm sorry. I..."

"You don't have to be sorry." He cut me off and I scrunched my brow. "We're not a couple, you're free to kiss whoever you want." I could hear the hurt in his voice.

"I am. I am sorry." I took a step getting closer to him.

"Did you know that I drove around the city for an hour, got my wallet stolen, and got a flat tyre just to get your number?" He spoke taking a step forwards and my gestures softened. "And not just that." He laughed cynically. "I have done so many things to prove you I...that I..." He sighed looking down.

I put my hands on his face lifting his face up so our eyes would meet.

"I've done everything to push you away Lan. And you haven't given up on me. I messed it up and I realized too late that I don't want to keep pushing you away." I whispered and he put his hands over mine. His eyes shifted from my eyes to my lips. "Please don't give up on me." My voice trembled.

There was a silence were we stared at each other's eyes. The rain pouring over us as we stood in the middle of the street, just a lamppost and the moon giving us light.

"I don't give up that easily." He whispered and I scrunched my brows staring into his eyes. "Did it mean anything? The kiss?" He asked.

"No, I was drunk and so was he."

"Did our kiss mean anything? I know you didn't forget about that night."

"I didn't forget." I admitted. "I was just too scared to admit that maybe...maybe I was falling for you." I spoke and he smiled softly.

"I fell for you ever since that first interview." He spoke and I smiled softly.

He leaned in and out lips met. I felt my stomach flutter as our lips moved in synch. The rain getting in between our lips. I passed my hands through his wet hair as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

Suddenly, we heard honking. We jumped startled and saw a car.

"Get off the road you psychos!" A man yelled.

Lando raised his middle finger up and I lowered his hand laughing. I grabbed his hand dragging him towards the sidewalk. He laughed and pushed strands of hair behind my ear. I looked at him.

A wet curl falling on his forehead, his lips rosy and his cheeks flustered. I went in to kiss him again and felt him smile in between the kiss.
