"What happened?" Austin asked in a panic as his dad and the other carried a limb, and calfless, Hershel back.

"He got bit." Rick said in return, everyone scavenging around to get what they needed.

"Oh my god he's gonna turn." Beth panicked by her dads side.

"Maybe you got it in time." Lori reassured Rick as they all lifted him on three, bringing him onto the bed rather then a table that would collapse sooner or later.

"Oh, I need bandages." Carol spoke quickly as she looked to Hershel's wound.

Austin held Beth's shoulders when she started to worry, her hand back reaching to grasp his.

"We used everything we had." Glenn shook his head quickly.

"Well get more! Anything!" she called back in return.

"Carl, go get the towels from the bag on my bed." Lori spoke quickly as the small boy ran off.

Austin moved on the bed to put pressure on Hershel's bleeding wound, Carol securing his hand tightly.

"Is he gonna die?" Beth weeped.

Austin looked up as his mom held her face. "No, he's gonna be okay. He's gonna be okay."

"Think you can stabilizing him?" Rick leaned in close to Carol.

"I need to keep his leg elevated." she took deep breaths, Austin rose it for her. "Get some pillows!"

"He's already bleed through the sheets." Maggie panicked, looking at Austin's coated hands.

"It's gonna be okay." Austin shook his head, putting more pressure on the wound. "We can stop the blood with heat. Burn it."

"I can start a fire." Glenn nodded quickly.

"God, no. Please, no." Beth begged.

"No, the shock could kill him." Carol agreed, Lori and Carl coming back with the towels. "It's not gonna stop the arteries from bleeding. We need to keep it dressed and let it heal on its own. Austin, just keep the pressure."

"I got it." he promised her, hadn't taken his hands off Hershel's leg, under the sheet.

Time had passed, and Hershel was still bleeding. Austin was trying to keep it together, but it was clear all the blood was either grossing him out or setting panic in. Carol helped wrap it more. "It has to stop eventually, right?"

"It's slowed down." Austin nodded, swallowing as he side looked.

Beth held his shoulders gratefully, leaning in and kissing the top of his head to show her gratitude.

"If we can get him through this-" Carol began.

"When we get him through this." Lori corrected her, not only for Beth and Maggie's sake.

"-we'll need crutches." Carol finished her previous sentence.

"Right now we could use some antibiotics." the Grimes woman pointed out.

"And an IV, and surgery, and doctors." Austin listed on as Lori gave him a look. "It's a good day to have a PHD in medicine."

"You do?" Beth took it literal.

"No, I didn't even finish high school." he shook his head with an apologetic smile. "He'll be okay."

"There's gotta be an infirmary here." Carol nodded her head.

"If there is, we'll find it." Lori leaned on the bed, getting weak in the knees with swollen ankles.

"You've gotta be worried sick about delivering the baby." Carol shook her head with a minor sigh.

"Look at me." Lori made her turn. "Do I look worried?"

"You look disgusting." she said in rerun as Lori smiled.

"It's a good thing I took after dad." Austin nodded his head, Lori gapped his way.

"Not true, you look so much like your mom." Glenn cut in.

"See, thank you." Lori laughed slightly. "Take after your dad my ass."

Austin smiled at her, keeping his hands pressed the Hershel's wound. Beth leaned down next to him, laying her head on his shoulder. Austin leaned his head onto hers, giving a little head nudge to show his support. Lori smiled at the two.

Austin had finally managed to let go of the wound after the bleeding stopped, thankfully dipping his hands into water and scrubbing them clean. There was a faint red tint left, but it hadn't been worse then before. They had to handcuff Hershel to the bed, just as a precaution. Now, Austin and Beth sat on the group together, silence in the cell as they waiting for any movement.

The gate creaked from outside, Glenn glanced over when Carl walked in. "I thought you were organizing the food?"

"Even better." he smiled, walking in and dropped bags full of medical supplies before them.

Carol gasped. "Where did you get this?"

"Found the infirmary. Wasn't much left but I cleared it out." Carl spoke proudly, the hat fitting his head much better now. Austin use to wear it when he was younger, but it wasn't often he'd walk around Atlanta with it on his head.

"Good going, dude." Austin rubbed the top of his head, helping assist Carol.

"You went by yourself?" Lori gapped at him.

"Yeah." Carl smiled.

"Are you crazy?" Lori asked him in disbelief with a shocked look.

"No big deal. I killed two walkers." Carl shrugged in return.

Lori looked in a panic, shaking her head. "All right, do you see this? This was with the whole group."

"We needed supplies so I got them." Carl defended himself to her.

"I appreciate that, but-" Lori started to yell.

"Then get off my back!" Carl shouted in return, Austin's eyes doubled his size as he looked over.

"Carl!" Beth scolded him. "She's your mother. You can't talk to her like that."

"Listen, I think it's great that-" Lori started, but Carl took off out of the cell.

Austin wrapped Hershel's wound. "He just wanted to help, Mom. He's having to grow up fast in this new world, we have to accept that."

"So he can just wonder everywhere on his own? We don't know this place." Lori looked at him in disbelief.

"I didn't say that." Austin defended himself to her. "But you could have said it a lot easier to him considering the circumstances. He probably just saved Hershel from infection and bleeding out, he didn't need to be yelled at immediately after."

"These bandages will help prevent infection." Carol spoke as her and Austin finished up, Beth held his shoulders again as he stayed kneeled with her dad.

"It's good. It's good that he taught you all this stuff." Glenn nodded his head with an inhale. "You and Austin."

"He didn't teach me everything." Carol shook her head. She glanced to Glenn again. "I need your help with something."

"Now?" he frowned his eyebrows.

"Yeah, now." she spoke in return. "Not here."

Austin looked over oddly as she lead him out of the cell, looking at Beth. "Sketch."

"I can't leave Hershel." Glenn stopped in the doorway with a shake of his head.

"This is important." she mumbled.

"Carol, I can't-" Glenn began again.

"Glenn, dude." Austin cut him off. "I got it. We got it."

"No way." he shook his head in return.

"We'll be fine." Beth reassured him from where she stood over Austin, next go Maggie.

"We're not gonna be gone long." Carol pointed out.

"Rick said for me-" he stared once more.

"We're fine." Maggie cut him off with a look in his direction.

Austin had left to go back to his cell to grab a change of shirt, the one he had on now covered in blood. Though, just as he pulled it on, Beth called out. "Austin! Help! Someone!"

He took off quickly, running into the cell just as Lori got there, leaning over Hershel. Beth wrapped her arms around Austin quickly, crying as he looked. "Mom, what's happening?"

"He's not breathing." she leaned down and blew air into his mouth. Austin held Beth as she cried, shielding her eyes. Lori pulled back, doing compressions next. She went back down to blow into his mouth, Hershel's arm coming up and wrapping around her.

"Mom!" Austin yelled in a panic, letting Beth go as he pulled her back. Lori gasped for air while Hershel did the same, alive, not as a walker.
