[CHAPTER 07]

7| I ruined your day so, if your day is ruined, my day is ruined too.

The bell rings, gaining the attention of everyone. Ara glances at them but they all pretend like they never heard something. She raises her eyebrows in amusement.

"Oh, they gonna do this?" She thinks, pursing her lips. Ara shrugs and goes back to scrolling though instagram again.

Mrs. Park frowns at Ara's behavior. "Ara! Look who's at the door." Her hazel orbs gazed at her mom. She tilts her head upwards, pouting at her. Mrs. Park blinks her eyes, staring at her daughter

"She's a sloth." She thinks, her lips twitching disgustingly. "You're so lazy, go and see who's at the door!" She orders, pointing at the door. Ara groans cussing at whoever is outside under her breath.

She unlocks the door, desiring to beat whoever is behind it. She scoffs, her desire getting massive after she saw the person at their doorstep. "Is it kookie?" Her mom shouts from behind. She ignores her mom, glaring at her enemy.

The corner of Jungkook's lips lifts into a smirk. "What are you doing here? And with gifts?" He smiles at her, bopping her nose with his index finger. "Came here to pick up my girlfriend for a date."

She rubs her nose, trying to remove Jungkook's germs from her cute nose. "I think I have to take a bath with bleach now." She says rubbing her nose harshly.

"Well, I think acid would be better, not only my germs will vanish, you will vanish with them too and my life will become peaceful again." Jungkook looks up with a dreamy smile thinking about how peaceful his life will be. Ara rolls her eyes.

"I'm asking for the last time. Why. Are. You.Here?!" She asked stressing at each word, showing her frustration. Jungkook sighed, peeking behind her. "Will you not let me in?" He raised his eyebrows. "No!"

"Ah!" Jungkook snickered at Ara who got slapped by her mom. "This is how you treat your cousin?" She glares at Jungkook, rubbing her arm trying to soothe the burning sensation.

"He's not my cousin!!!" She yells, gritting her teeth. Her mom glares at her, nodding to the left, telling her to go inside.

Aera left them both alone, not forgetting to stomp her feet while going inside. Mrs. Park smiles at Jungkook, inviting him inside. "Sorry on her behalf." She claims, feeling sorry for Jungkook. "It's okay, mom." She ruffles his hair affectionately.

"Dad!! I don't like that jerk!!" She whines, shaking her dad to wake him, disturbing him from his slumber. "What?! Is the house on fire? are you okay?—" Ara stares blankly at Mr. Park. "—Dad would you stop overreacting? It's not fun now." Mr. Park pouts staring at her daughter.

"I was just trying to make you happy." She chuckles at his dad, pinching his soft cheeks. "No need. Your existence is enough to make me happy!" Mr. Park hugs Ara, touched by her choice of words.

"So what was my daughter whining about?" He questions, staring at his wife who was kissing Jungkook on his cheeks. "Mom invited that jerk again!" She complains, pouting at his dad.

"Ara you don't say something like that to someone!" He scolds her, frowning at her but soon it turns into a smirk. "We use more bad words for our enemies." He whispers in her ears. They both snicker, doing a high five.

"Good evening!" Jungkook greets her dad, bowing 90 degrees. A soft smile takes stretches over Mr. Park's mouth. This boy is always so respectful and sweet. There's no reason to hate him. He doesn't know why his daughter and his son are always fighting.

"Good evening—" Ara nudges her dad with her elbow. "–I mean Bad evening." Mr. Park winks at Jungkook. Jungkook smiles understanding the situation. "It's okay, mom is here to greet me with Good evening." Ara glares at Jungkook, getting annoyed with this 'mom' thing.

"She's not your mom! She's mine!"Jungkook chuckled at her. "Oh really? Then you should ask her by yourself." Ara hesitates to retort since she knows that the answer will be always a yes.

"Mom Jungjerk isn't your son right?" Mr. Park laughs at the new nickname given by Ara. Jungkook rolls his eyes at the new name. "He is my son and he will be my son. Get jealous sitting there. After all, he will be my son–in–law." Mrs. Park mumbles the last sentence to herself.

Yes, Mrs. Park wanted Jungkook to be her son–in–law. She was whipped for the young, handsome boy. She wanted her daughter to get along with him but her daughter as usual is for no use.

"If you wanted to have a son so badly then why didn't you have one?" Mr. Park licked his lips, looking at Ara storming into her room. He glanced at Jungkook whose gaze was following her. He sat on the sofa beside Mr. Park mumbling sorry to him.

Ara loathes Jungkook from the core of her heart. Her mom's priority was always Jungkook. She would always run after Jungkook like he was her son and she is not her daughter.

She always tries to get her mom's attention by doing weird things but when her mom sees Jungkook, she gets blinded.

She only praises Jungkook, she only loves Jungkook. She doesn't love her—her whole life she thinks about this.

"I hate him! I don't like him! He's not her son! He can't be!–" she sniffs, wiping her nose with her sleeve. The door clicks, gaining her attention but she doesn't lift her head.

"Dad! Mom doesn't love me! She loves that jerk! He's so shameful! Making other's moms his! Tell him he has a mom in his house—"

"but she likes you." Jungkook claims, staring at her. She raise her head, only to see him towering over her.

"What are you doing here? Leave me!! Go to your own house!! Why do you always have to ruin my peace!?" She yells, hitting his legs with her fists. "Can I sit?" She stops when she realizes that it's of no use, she's just wasting her energy. "No!"

"Like I'm gonna listen." He sits beside her, sneering at her. She scoffs, scowling at him. "Such a gentleman!"

"Wow, you belong to the jungle." He points out, looking around her room which was a mess. "Do you have a problem? If yes than get out!" He nods his head, pursing his lips.

"I do have a problem but we're locked inside." He told. Ara's eyes widen, and she runs to the door, trying to unlock it. She tries but the door was locked from the outside. She turns toward Jungkook and questions.

"Who did this?"

"Your dad, he told me I can't come outside unless you come because he thinks that I ruined your day so, if your day is ruined, my day is ruined too." Ara groans, walking towards her bed. "What the heck? I love my dad!"

"Where is your mom?" Area question lying on her bed. "My mom is outside—" Ara ran to the door, banging on it. "Dad I wanna come outside! Open the door,!" Jungkook shakes his head, sighing. "And she says that I'm the one who rules over her mom like she doesn't."

The door opened with a giant, smiling teddy bear but she ignored her dad a.k.a her teddy bear, and runs outside. Her eyes scans the whole area and when it fell on Mrs. Jung she screamed in happiness. She ran to her 'mom' and hugged her. Mrs. Jung hugged her back, cradling her in her arms.

"I missed you!" She confessed tightening her grip around Mrs. Jung. "I missed my baby too." She raised her head, frowning. "Really? It doesn't look like it. You didn't visit me at all."

"Because I was busy my baby."

"Baby my ass," Jungkook whispers to himself, getting jealous of the scene in front of him. "You know what? Just be my daughter–in–law!"

Ara pouted, staring at Mrs. Jung. "I would love to but not with that making–other's–mom–his guy." Jungkook scoffed. "That's just my charm and who wanna even marry you?"

"I rejected you first! So, don't be like you did!" Ara shows him her tongue. He grits his teeth saying "I did first! And shut up!"

Mrs. Jung tsks in regret. "If I would have known that he will be an asshole I would have given birth to another boy." Ara sadly pouts at Mr.s Jung and pinches her soft cheeks."It's okay! I would marry your daughter."

"Ara is gay!!" Jungkook shouts, intentionally pissing her off. "Yeah, I would even marry a gay or become a gay rather than marrying you!!" Jungkook raises his brows in amusement. "Not even a gay would marry you."

"Jungkook!!" Jungkook ignored her mom warming him. He kept the intense eye contact. Everyone watched them with nervousness. They all knew if this will be a little longer–everything here will be a mess.

"Food—" and before Mrs. Park could finish the sentence they were both at tables. They all sighed in relief—everything was out of danger.....yet.

"Mom give me food!"

"Mom! give me food too."

Aera glared at Jungkook who was eyeing her with a sneer displayed on his lips. "Stop copying me you copycat!" Jungkook showed her his tongue continuing to tease her.

Jungkook's eyes lit up looking at the litchi in front of him. "Oh wow! Litchi? My favorite!!!" Ara smirked deciding to tease him a little too. "A leech's favorite fruit is litchi. Wow! What a coincidence." Jungkook ignored her, trying to get the litchi.

Everything was peaceful and sweet just like they show in films. A sweet family- but Ara had to destroy the peace because peace and Ara don't fit together. "Mom, can you give me the leech–i?"

She stressed the leech word intentionally, trying to provoke Jungkook but that idiot didn't seem to notice what she was trying to do.

Ara didn't lose hope, she decided to do it again and again. "Omg! I love this leech–I!!" She eyes Jungkook who was frowning a little trying to comprehend what she was doing.

"But you don't like litchi?" Mrs. Park tilted her head, staring at her daughter in bafflement.

"But from now on....." the corner of her lips lifts a little when she saw Jungkook glaring at her. "I love-" She got interfered with when Jungkook threw water at her.

Ara's mouth was hung open in the air not because she was shocked it was because she expected much more than him. "Jungle book!!!!" She shouted at the sneering boy.

"You are dead! You're-ah!!!!" Ara screamed when Jungkook threw the noodles at her-No! Not the whole meal-he will not waste food. It was just a little-only a half plate.

Jungkook ran away giggling while Ara chased him while yelling.

"So, how's your life going?" Mrs. Jung asked them. "As always, happy." They all continued talking with each other. This is something they are used to and scolding them will bring no peace either because then they will bicker on who's a fault it was. So they let them be and continue their conversations.
