[CHAPTER 01]

1. |You should confess now

Aera inhales a long breath, a smile dancing on her soft rosy lips. She takes long delicate strides towards nowhere. She was just walking. She didn't have any direction in her mind.

The gossip of the students perks her ears but she ignores them—not wanting to fight on the first day of her last year. She wants to spend the last year with good behavior and good memories.

"Area don't listen to them," Jennie whispers, getting her attention. She rolls her neck in her direction and smiled at her. "Oh no, I'm not gonna ruin my mood by fighting with them." Jennie nods her head, not fully convinced but drops the topic.

"So she doesn't trust me?" She thinks, pouting.

Aera was in a cheerful mood today and didn't want to ruin it, so she decided to ignore them. A sigh escapes her lips. Today's weather was perfect just like her mood, Sunny and cheerful.

Jennie soon went on her way. Their classes were the same but their lockers were different. They had to change their paths, they had to leave their hands which were intertwined with each other.

Roaming, she reaches her locker. A soft smile takes place over her lips. "A new year, new friends, new classes, new books-" She closes her eyes in frustration when someone slaps her head from behind. She exactly knows who it is-her doom.

"But not a new boyfriend right? He's been the same for years. You love me too much I think." He teases, sneering at her. She grits her teeth trying to control her anger which was rising with every passing minute.

She counts from one to ten but to her dismay, her fury doesn't vanish instead it was growing. "Aera, no! You have to be a good girl this year-you can't be furious and create a bloody bath alright?" She mumbles under her breath which didn't go unnoticed by him.

Jennie was staring at them from distance. Aera's gaze fell upon Jennie who was standing at the distance of just two lockers. She was warning her not to fight with him.

Aera exhales a breath, nodding at her. Jennie wasn't fully convinced but at least Aera was trying.

"Are you talking to yourself now? Oh no! I told them you have gone crazy." He shakes his head while pouting, showing fake concern.

"Jungkook, get out of my sight. I don't want to look at my bad luck at the start of my last year." She claims, avoiding Jungkook who was now intentionally moving towards her front.

"Have you not seen your face in the mirror yet?" He cocks his eyebrow, smirking at her. She throws her head back not wanting to deal with this dipshit right now.

Aera turns around to get away from this place-from this creature, just to maintain her cheerful mood. "Don't ignore your precious boyfriend on our first day!" He shouts from behind, chasing her.

She speeds up her pace, running away from him. It has always been like this, Jungkook chasing Aera and Aera running away. Running away from Jungkook she bumps into someone. She raises her head, rubbing her nose only to get a big smile on her face.

"Aera what are you doing?" He queries, tilting his head, smiling at her. Aera's heartbeats accelerated only by listening to his gentle and sweet voice.

"Damn he has no right to smile like that." She thinks, drowned in his beauty.

His voice was so angelic, so soft like listening to a comforting melody. Anyone could heal by looking at his angelic features. His reddish lips were soft and thick tempting her to kiss him right there and take his breath away as he does with his smile. His nose was straight as a ruler, giving him the perfect look.

His eyes always become crescent when he smiles—and his smile? Oh, God! It could kill millions of girls in seconds. His long and silky orange locks felling on his eyes, tickling his forehead. She was tempted to brush his hair away from his eyes. His jaw was as sharp as a knife, ready to cut through her heart any minute. He was a masterpiece that belonged to the museum—heck she would hide him and not let anyone touch him.

"Aera?" She snaps to reality, wiping her drool. "Park Aera why are you ignoring me? I was teasing you." Jungkook stomps his feet, just like a child who was ready to throw tantrums after he couldn't get his favorite candy.

She rolls her eyes at his behavior. "Such a baby he is." She thought.

"You're such a child. You should grow up now." He leans toward her, a crude smirk displayed on his lips. "And you should confess now." He whispers making her eyes widen. She whips her head towards him.

"How do you know?" She asks him. He shrugs his shoulders, not giving her a proper response. "What he knows?" Jimin questions, staring at both of them.

Aera quickly shakes her head but Jungkook nods his head. "He doesn't know anything." She hastily lets out, licking her dry lips. "Oh, really but I know everything." He bites the corner of his lip, finding this situation exciting-well, it was but just for him.

Aera turns her head towards Jungkook, warning him with her eyes but who cares he doesn't give a fuck about her warning.

What a dwarf can even do with me? He scoffs, rolling his eyes.

"Jimin Hyung you know judgegylldhrvz gear." Aera immediately puts her hand on his mouth, muffling his voice. Jimin was looking at both of them clueless about what they are doing.

He shakes his head, this is what he—everyone deals with every day.

"They are so childish even their fights are childish. I don't know when they will become mature?" He thinks and decides to just leave the both fighting with each other.

"Ahhh!" Aera shouts and pulls away her hand instantly after he bites her hand, getting the attention of a few students. They sighed in the annoyance-the whole school was done with them.

"Why would you bite my hand?" She fumes, fisting her hand in pain. "Why would you put your dirty hand on my mouth? He argues back, cocking his brow at her.

"Then why would you don't mind your own business and stop butting in between me and Jimin?" Jungkook grits his teeth.

"Shut your mouth! I don't even want to talk to you!" His lips curl up in annoyance. He hated her high-pitched voice. "Then stop chasing me!" She claims, stomping on his foot out of pure hatred.

Jungkooks mouth fell open when she stomped at his foot, it was too sudden that he couldn't even dodge it. Jungkook fists his hands, ready to get into a bloody bath-

"Both of you! In your classes...NOW!" They both flinch at the sudden interruption of their teacher Mr Jung. They both freeze at their positions-afraid they might get detention at the start of their last year without taking any classes.

Mr. Jung raises his eyebrows, staring at both of them. "Are you deaf?" They shake their heads. Mr. Jung raises his eyebrows again.

They both make eye contact and smirk at each other. "Don't start running-" but they both beat Mr. Jung's warning because they already started running and were in between pushing each other, stumbling, and getting revenge on each other.

Mr. Jung exhales a breath-annoyed with his two students, who have made his life a little fun for some years. He liked both of them since they are toppers but it was a hassle to deal with them.

"Good work Jennie." He smiles at Jennie who was standing beside him. "If they fight again or are about to fight again, inform me immediately, or else they will get detention." She nods her head, inking his words in her mind.

The least she wants is for her best friend to get in trouble.
