it wasn't rare for the pair to find themselves locked in the gym together for hours on end, trying out different routines and seeing what they needed work on.

they found comfort in doing it with eachother, despite the amount of sweat that'd be drenching their bodies by the end of it all— they loved it.

JeNo had been using the rowing machine SM had in their gym for however long, not noticing the small girl's move to the pull-down equipment she rarely ever found the need to use.

they'd been eachother's workout partners for years— giving the Lee boy insight on how exactly the girl had acheived her impressive physique.

his eyes trailed towards NaRi, eyebrows slightly raising in surprise at her appropriate form— having not expected her to know how to use the machine.

as usually happened when he'd slyly watch her exercise, his eyes remained on the girl for far too long, as she caught his burning gaze.

her face instantly found a new shade, and it wasn't because of the harsh breath she'd just shakily let out.

the way his eyes remained on her intrigued the girl, NaRi practically forcing herself to stare into them through the mirror she'd been watching herself in.

the boy eventually felt eyes on himself, trailing his gaze up until he caught the girls', the two now making eye contact.

the girl couldn't handle it anymore, breathlessly chuckling as her teeth grazed over her bottom lip, shaking her head as she returned her attention to her reflection.

JeNo'd watched as she done it all, lips turning into a slight smirk at the nonchalantness he knew she was faking.

"stop looking at me like that," she said after a few seconds, the boy laughing in response.

the girl jumped out of her slumber, her hand reaching for her cheek as she felt a tear quickly falling down it.

once her mind fully awoke, NaRi realized her nightmare had been enough to make her cry.

"aish," she breathed out, before covering her mouth with her hand, realizing she wasn't laying alone.

she was suddenly fully aware of the bed dipping at her side, the arm draped around her waist and the head tucked into her neck.

she let her eyes trail downwards, only to come in contact with a pair of white and brown orbs staring right back at her.

"bad dream?" DongHyuck whispered, NaRi looking away in slight shame before his hand led her face back towards himself. "you don't have to hide it from me, Kina,"

the girl sighed, taking a few seconds before slightly nodding.

the boy sadly smiled, dragging his body upward while he pushed her's down, switching their previous positions so her face was pressed against his bare chest.

his hands quickly found home in her hair, caressing the ginger-dyed locks as she let the remaining tears trail down her face.

"you wrapped me warmly in this coldly blowing night sky, i am alone, you are like a dream. you take away the fear that was inside me. you always light me up like a star in the night sky, the place we embroidered together remains in my heart.. will you rain down on me with those same stars?" his honey-like voice rang through the quiet, darkened room.

she softly smiled as she felt the boy's chest vibrating with every syllable that melted off his tongue, his raspy voice being her favourite sound in these situations.

as the words of her self-written, soon-to-be released song sounded from HaeChan's lips, her heart felt warm, the girl's previous, haunting thoughts quickly fleeing her mind.

her eyes slowly closed, the Lee boy softly smiling when he felt the bed dip at his side.

he lowered his head to place a kiss on her head, "good night, baby,"

NaRi sniffled from the cold surrounding the dorm room, unwanting to throw the covers off of her body.

she knew by "be there in an hour", RenJun would be there at the time she told him she was fully ready.

she trudged out of the warmth of her (Jay's) bed, slowly making her way towards the bathroom.

she then stood in front of her wardrobe, eyes scanning the many articles of clothing, having a mental debate over what she could wear. they'd initially rested upon her printed sweatpants, however she ripped her mind away from the thought, knowing the recent outdoor activities she'd put herself through had conditioned her body to be used to the chilling outdoor temperatures.

NaRi spent another hour on her makeup and her hair, eyebrows furrowing in confusion when she heard eight seperate male voices from the living room.

she finished spraying her perfume before stepping outside, phone in hand, ready to text RenJun she was ready when RenJun was.. right in front of her.

"oh? lao gong?" she asked, said boy turning around from his hushed conversation with the members.

"this," Ni-Ki began, signalling towards the neo, "is a real man."

"huh?"

"he came and asked us for permission to take you out today," SungHoon followed the maknae's statement.

"a real man. unlike those other little Tre-" Ni-Ki was about to continue before HeeSeung covered his mouth with his hand.

RenJun muffled his chuckle before letting his eyes trail to the girl, "hi, Reina," he softly smiled, holding out his arm towards the girl.

she returned the gesture, wrapping her smaller hand in the crook of his arm.

"i guess we'll be going now..?" she softly spoke, the members smiling and nodding in response, lining up to give her their usual goodbye.

the seven kissed her forehead, bidding the pair safe travels and a fun time as they closed the door behind the Huang boy.

NaRi looked back at the closed door with surprised eyes, instinctively leaning into RenJun's body.

"why do you look so surprised?"

she lightly chuckled, returning her gaze to her date for the day, "they've never been that okay with me going out with someone that's not themselves before,"

"like they said, no one's ever asked like i did,"

NaRi giggled at his cockiness, deciding to not ask how he'd gotten the boys to be so accepting of the outing.

their walk towards the city center was comfortably silent, the girl's hands clasped together while wrapped around the boy's arm's fold.

RenJun led the girl into a small thrift store she was obsessed with, the pair spending a while inside before buying new vinyls and small room decorations.

they walked a bit further until arriving at her favourite café, the boy taking the lead in ordering her usual drink, ordering his own in the process.

they then found themselves in another small shop, intrigued with the luxurious-looking items inside. the minimalist aura of the shop had caught their attention, the pair buying whatever they'd felt they needed.

after leaving the shop, they'd come across their usual perfume store, stopping inside to purchase their own picks.

throughout their adventure, NaRi'd managed to only get small bags as she knew her sore arms wouldn't let her feel comfortable.

RenJun being the absolute gentleman he was to the girl had forced her to give him her bags, the girl refusing before eventually giving in. don't worry, she repaid him by paying for the hotpot afterwards.

Reni ended their day at the park, star-gazing in comfortable silence, again.

"did you have fun today? i'm sorry if it wasn't what you wanted to do," the boy broke the silence, worry laced through his words.

she turned her head, making eye contact with the boy instantly. she softly chuckled at his nervous eyes, "don't worry, Junnie.. i didn't realize how much i needed a healing day before today,"

the boy softly smiled, lacing their fingers together before placing a kiss on the back of her palm. "i'm glad, Reina,"

"for the last time, no." Bang spoke into the phone, rolling his eyes at the sound of Lee Soo Man's desperate plea.

"why don't you at least give us a chance to just show her around? and after that, she can make the decision herself, hm?" SooMan spoke, Bang thinking of the offer for a few seconds.

"fine. i'll take her there tomorrow," Bang agreed, knowing the girl's mind wouldn't change for the world.

this seemed to be a never-ending cycle— BigHit's CEO constantly receiving calls from multiple different agencies, big and small, offering loads of money and promises all in exchange for one, single thing.

Kim NaRi— his beloved, most prized trainee.

the other CEO's believed they had a chance with getting the girl to transfer, as they believed her to be lonely at BigHit, seeing it was a male-dominated agency.

little did they know, they didn't.

despite it being barely a year, NaRi'd fallen in love with the company soon after her training life began, knowing herself she wouldn't ever change it for the world, no matter how known the offering company was.

Bang called her to his office, a quiet knock sounding on the door a few minutes later. "come in," he called out in his cheery voice, the door opening to reveal the small girl.

"hi, PD," she greeted, lightly bowing her head.

"hi, NaRi,"

"what'd you call me in for?" she asked, sitting in one of the chairs situated in front of his desk.

"i got another call~" he began, the girl chuckling. "who's trying to steal me now and for how much?"

it was Bang's turn to laugh at her ready question, "SM,"

NaRi playfully rolled her eyes, "as if,"

"would you want to go tour around his company?" he asked, the girl beginning to think.
"it could be a fun experience, see how far he's willing to go to get you to sign under him,"

NaRi soon accepted the offer, the male telling her when she'd be leaving the next day.

she now found herself in the passenger seat of the company's car, sitting beside Bang who was the driver for the day.

the male pulled into the entrance of the building, looking around with nervous eyes as he noticed the piles of photographers and newsreporters sat outside the building.

he turned towards the girl, "you sure you don't wanna go back?"
she chuckled, "i'm sure.. i wanna see how far he goes to try and get me to come here,"
Bang breathed out a laugh, lightly patting the girl's head, "i'll come later, okay?"
she playfully saluted as she nodded, putting on her mask before stepping out of the car.

Bang watched as she approached the door, avoiding the dispatchers and the mics being shoved in her face.

the girl's eyes set upon the figure at the door— Lee Soo Man.

the male's eyes formed crescents as he saw the trainee, opening the door as he bowed at the girl.
"hello! welcome, Miss Kim,"

she returned the how, "hello, Mr. Lee, it's nice to meet you,"

the male led NaRi around the large building after having bought her a drink from the café on the ground level.

she mainly followed behind, only pretending to be interested in the fine architect and the man's promises to order his workers to fix anything she didn't like once she transferred to his company— knowing it was all a mere scheme to lure her into the death trap SM really was.

of course, she looked up to the artists managed by his label, but she could never see herself permanently under Lee Soo Man.

he showed her to the trainee facilities— many sweaty, somewhat underdeveloped boys running around once they'd seen their boss in the area. she internally let out a giggle, her ears perking up at the sound of two or three males speaking English.

"ah, just who i was hoping to catch!" SooMan said as he approached the trio, gesturing for the girl to follow him.

"Mark, Johnny, JaeHyun, meet Kim NaRi. she's a trainee under BigHit,"

though the company name was a foreign word to the three young males, the maknae of the group's eyes lit up at the sight of the small girl in front of them.

"hi! i'm Mark Lee," he said, NaRi trying to fight past her shy stage to return the greeting.
"hi, i'm Kim NaRi,"

SooMan noticed how much brighter the girl's mood seemed with fellow trainees, getting the idea of allowing the three to show her around in place of him.

a bit of time of the boys leading her around passed, the trios' hearts exploding with happiness at the sound of the girl's giggles at their jokes.

Mark soon realized he didn't know why she was here, "hey, um.. NaRi?"
"mhm?"

"not to be like, weird or anything.. but why are you like.. here?"

she giggled at the boy's speaking habits she'd easily picked up on, "SooMan has called BangPD so many times trying to get me to transfer here since the CEO's found out about me and stuff, so he's trying to win me over by letting me spend a day here,"

the boys' eyes brightened at the possibility of getting to learn more about the girl, "so.. are you thinking of transferring?"

she let out an airy chuckle, "no offense, but not at all. i love where i am right now.. being under a super big company at my age isn't something i want,"

the boys were disappointed, but understood her reasoning nonetheless.

Johnny's voice was small when he asked, "so does this mean this might be the only time we get to see you?"

she giggled, "of course not, hyung! i'll come whenever i can.. and~ i'll be there when you guys debut next year!"

"really?!" the three voices merged together in surprise.

"of course~ now, i expect to always have the group's first fan title,"
