ENHYPEN
DEBUT SHOW : DAY ONE.

NaRi finished the Flicker performance, a sigh of relief escaping her lips. we're really doing this, huh? she lightly cheered as the directors' cue was given, pure happiness shown on her face.

"we'll officially greet you. 1, 2, CONNECT! hello, we are ENHYPEN!" the eight-membered group greeted their viewers, wide smiles plastered on their faces.

NaRi listened as the boys read off their scripts, eyes lighting up when Sunoo mentioned their ENGENEs.

"i heard ENGENEs are joining us to celebrate with us today. where are they?"

"engene~" NaRi called out in a playful tone, looking around for their beloved supporters.

she lightly cheered as ENGENEs from around the world began popping up on the big screen before them, eyes lighting up with nothing but love. her immediate reaction was to run to the screens, careful to not trip over her heeled boots. her eyes searched around for anyone who held a 'NaRi' sign, heart jumping out of her chest when she found one. i was expecting no one to have one for me but OH MY GOSH SHE'S SO CUTE! NaRi ran to the girls' space on the screen, blowing kisses to her face.

"should we high-five?"
"well, NaRi's already doing it!"

NaRi blew her final kiss to the girl, now running around along with the boys, wanting to 'high-five' as many ENGENEs as possible.

her eyes were lightly coated with tears, her body instantly refusing to release them. no, NaRi, you can cry later! her attention continued to stay on the large screen before them as the boys talked about the viewers, NaRi suddenly exclaiming, "why are ENGENEs so beautiful?!" while lightly pouting, making the boys squeal at her unplanned cuteness.

"we asked ENGENEs beforehand what they wanted to see in this border:day one stream," HeeSeung began, making NaRi smile.

"yes! and we.. i... saw everything you all wanted!" she said her line aloud, knowing ENGENEs would be confused at her statement.

NaRi happily reacted to the boys' responses to the questions they were given, still slightly caught up in the big screen.

she covered her face in her tiny hands as their debut show spoiler photo was revealed to the viewers, embarrassment from that particular shoot creeping up on her. "that's so embarrassing oh my gosh oh my gosh can we please move along?!" she asked the boys, turning her body away from the big screen.

"what is this?"
"everything you didn't know about ENHYPEN about artists and ENHYPEN as boys."
"but i'm a girl?"
"it starts now!"

"hey," NaRi suddenly popped into the frame, "me too!"
"actually, the voice on the debut trailer is my English narration."
she popped in once again, this time more 'offended', "hey! that was mine, too!"

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN

NaRi ran onto the set, a bright smile on her face as she excitedly awaited their upcoming activities. she was seen playing with a golden puppy, the smile never leaving her face.

class one: puppy attendance

a loud laugh escaped her mouth as "Jongbermann" let out his bark, her body falling onto Jake's.

when "Sundog" stood up, NaRi lost it again. she bursted out into a loud pitch of endless giggles, the elder glaring down at her to be quiet. "oh my gosh" NaRi said as she watched Sunoo's sassy introduction, once again laughing after "Aatumn Park"s remark.

"ang~" Bisko said, making NaRi coo at the younger's cuteness.

after Jake's turn, finally came NaRi's. okay you can do this! you're cute to them they'll love it! she carefully stood up from her spot, tiny black-colored dog ears adorning her head. "wāng wāng" she quickly chirped, making the boys conceal their fits of laughter. "hello, i am Meirchester! you all love me already, so that is all." she firmly said, blowing kisses to the boys— which they avoided.

"alright, let the class start!"

class two: manner training

"grooming compliments. compliment and Pat the friend next to you and repeat until the friend is satisfied." NaRi let out a light groan, knowing Jake would go hard on her. he looked over to her, sending her a cheeky wink.

NaRi laughed at Jay's first attempt, and fail, telling the guys to stop making fun of him as, as she said, "he's a growing baby!"

she moved her body back as Jake complimented HeeSeung— of course after complaining over Jake's complaints of not wanting to compliment NaRi.

"Jakela is the only puppy here that can bark in a foreign language.."
"i'm literally right here? oh, you've got to be kidding me.." she said, rubbing her temples.

it was finally the time for the two to compliment NaRi, who'd patiently been waiting for her turn. "oh i have to go first? gross, okay." she said, turning her body to Jake. "thank you for being the greatest English buddy i could ever have and thank you for cuddling me all the time and thank you for being nicer than Jay-hyung!" she said, playing with the boy's fingers. he attempted to keep a straight face,

....attempted.

once NaRi finished her quick rant, Jake's eyes turned to crescents, making the boy yell out "NOOOOO!" he groaned, lightly throwing NaRi's hands back. "you win."

she giggled, now turning her body towards HeeSeung. she once again took his fingers, his hands drastically larger than hers. "you've been around for forever and i really appreciate you and i love you very very much!"
"i'm satisfied."
"SHE BARELY FINISHED?"
"your point is?"

she brightly smiled, feeling accomplished after making both boy's satisfied with her compliments.

"sit!" Ni-Ki said, making six of the seven laugh at his sudden command to Sunoo. she loudly chuckled at Ni-Ki's dance for the older, knowing Sunoo was feeling pleasure out of his command.

her mouth feel agape as she watched Sunoo compliment SungHoon, although she believed he was just flirting. girl... anyways. she continuously hit both Jake and HeeSeung's arms as his rant progressed, bursting into yet another fit of giggles as SungHoon continued to reject his attempts.

class three: 너의마음이보여
aka the censor ears

she let out a light gasp after the director finished giving the instructions for the next part, already knowing it'd create extremely entertaining moments for the viewers.

she watched as the 02z played the first round, nothing but amusement floating in the room.

"so basically he just thinks he's cute okay okay my turn!" she exclaimed as Sunoo and Ni-Ki's round came to a close, her turn finally having arrived. "who am i going against? oh HIM? oh no!" she complained as she watched Ni-Ki stay in his spot, only smiling up at the girl.

"okay, mierchester, let's go!
do you like me more than HeeSeung-hyung?"

her eyes opened wider than ever, mouth following suit. "what kind of question is tha-" her comment was interrupted by the roar of laughter from the boys after watching her ears turn, indicating yes.

this was the only full scene shown, the other clips being of the other boys asking her questions. "do you really think you're the brain of this team?" yes. "do you really think you're the visual?" yes. "do you think you deserve the title of main performer?" "WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT?!" yes.

"we'll now vote for who we think is the best communicator. who will be the ending fairy for '10 Months'?"

yes, indeed, she did vote for Jake.

"i'm also a selfie approver," began Sunoo during his self-interview, "the members get my approval before they put selfies on social media."

NaRi appeared in a little bubble above his head, frantically shaking her head yes. "he's very strict about what we post."

"oh what everyone sees is completely different than what you get.." NaRi said to the camera, describing Jay. "that's all i will say about that!"

finally, came NaRi's border : view

she walked into the frame, GIRL — ARTIST labeled the two different-colored halves.

"i'm 16 year old Mireia Nari Arredondo Kim!"

the girl appeared on the left side, a soft look on her face— completely and drastically different from the ice cold, harsh glare she made toward the camera on the opposite side.

"i'm in charge of speaking Mandarin and Spanish, as well as English, in the team!"

"la única." she began, "it means the only one in Spanish."

"everyone says i look like a prairie dog?"
"i think i most resemble i think.... a panda? or a koala? i'm not really sure..."

what are your greatest skills?
"i speak five languages fluently! i speak Korean, i speak English, i speak Japanese, I speak Spanish, and i speak Mandarin! i'm also in the process of learning Thai, Indonesian, Portuguese, and Cantonese!
i can also produce music! i learned from YoonGi-hyung and WooZi-hyung."

when did you dream of becoming a singer?
"my parents always listened to SHINee-hyungs when i was growing up... and then my brother started training and i would go with him... so probably when i was around five?"

what's been your greatest challenge throughout your years of preparation for debuting?
"i guess just the question of if i was ever going to debut... i was the only girl at BigHit for years.. so that question always popped into my mind, but i always had people to rely on and go to when i'd doubt myself."

what's been the funniest moment for you so far?
"funniest moment... on I-Land, the first time i show up on screen....... i almost fell. i hope to not see any more posts about that, but i know there will be more."

my image as seen by others?
"uh... ace? hahahaha... just kidding."
"i hope it's a great performer. just, overall. i hope everyone watching can see what efforts i've put in to this art and how much i care for my job."

how do you feel always being babied by the boys?
"she's our baby."
"no one's taking that spot... sorry, Ni-Ki."
"it's okay, i baby her, too."

she only shrugged her shoulders. "you heard them."

she waved to the camera, a smile on her face in both frames.

she lightly cheered as the segment finally came to an end, the eight standing on stage in their more casual outfits.

she looked around as the studio blacked out, surprise suddenly splashed all over her face.

"oh?" she cautiously looked behind her as a laugh erupted from the screen, eyes going wide as various notes began popping up onto the screen. "wait what's that??"

she looked around at the screen before them, letters upon letters catching her eye, forcing tears to lightly coat her eyes. she read through all the letters she could see, the pout on her face growing by the second.

"NARI'S CRYING!"
"AM NOT."

the six others' attentions were drawn to the girl who was turned away from the camera, wanting to hide her emotion as much as possible. Jay forced her body to turn around, an unconvincing smile flashed for the viewers.

the smile then turned genuine as ENGENEs themselves were projected onto the screens, turning brighter as she lightly waved towards them. her attention was caught by a viewer who held a sign written in Mandarin, body immediately going closer to read it easier. she read it aloud to the boys, then sincerely thanking their Chinese viewers.

"this really meant so much to us... this for sure will always remain in our hearts." she spoke out to no one in particular, solely wanting to let their viewers know of their gratefulness.

"this is the world premiere of Given-Taken stage, let's go!" she lightly exclaimed, boys following suit.

"1, 2, 3, ENGENE, come join us!"

NaRi sat in the room— beside the producers, in her own chair, cause you know.. she's NaRi— as HeeSeung recorded his part for Given-Taken first.

she lightly cheered for the older as he easily reached the high notes, suddenly feeling nervous as she knew how high and low her individual chords went for this song.

NaRi was quickly shown recording her own parts, then minor clips of her ad-lib recordings appearing on the screen. yeah, they gotta know i can sing.

"i felt bad that i couldn't make the soup from start for JaeYun... i promise i'll make it for you once our schedule clears up!"

the seven tip-toed into the room Jake was napping in, NaRi going in first, giving him a light peck on his forehead before they started singing happy birthday.

"he looks so tired," she giggled as Jake's sleepy face was shown on screen.

the day before ENHYPEN'S Debut Day, the members sat in their bedroom, NaRi laying beside Ni-Ki. her mind was racing with thoughts as the boys talked about how unexpected their debut had come.

she faced the ceiling, Ni-Ki having a clear view of her.

"what's on your mind?" he quietly asked, not wanting to disrupt the older boys' conversations.
"i just.. what if they don't like me?" she asked, genuinely concerned.

ever since the airport attack, NaRi's mind couldn't seem to slow down when nighttime arrived. what if she was right? what if i'm really not cut out for all of this? do they even want me here?

"i know what you're thinking, Mireia. yes we want you here." Ni-Ki interrupted her internal dialogue, brushing the stray hairs from her face. the boy looked down at her face, admiring her features.
she blankly stared back at the boy, still not really believing what he'd told her. she later lightly nodded, cuddling into his side. Ni-Ki lightly chuckled at her sudden clinginess, moving his hand to play with her hair.

the group ended their debut showcase with their first-ever title song, Given-Taken. the performance ended with NaRi's piercing gaze, even through one single eye, captivating the viewers' attentions until the very end.
