[EN-loG] 나리의 휴식 시간 💿🪐 NARI DAY – ENHYPEN (엔하이픈) (ENG/JPN/SPN/CHN)

the video began with NaRi setting up the camera, quickly being able to situate the lense before backing up a bit.

she smiled, now waving. "hello, ENGENE! i'm Kim NaRi,"

she began to walk backwards, wanting to show her outfit of the day off.

she wore black ripped mom jeans, a black crop top, a cream and blue coloured zipup jacket, with her white airforce1's. the girl also wore multiple pieces of gold jewelry to compliment the outfit.

"it's pretty simple,"

the girl stood in the artist's lounge in the HYBE building.

"today is a rest day, it's currently... 11:25 in the morning. i'm usually never up this early on a rest day, but i guess my body was feeling productive today?" she slightly chuckled, "so~ i thought, why not vlog what i do today, so... yeah!"

she sat on the couch, checking her phone for a split second. "i was planning on.. working on some projects i've started but haven't had time or energy to finish.. and i've to study a bit! i've been lacking in that area so, i've sorta fallen behind, but that's always okay~"

she then stood from the couch, grabbing her tote bag, putting on a mask before grabbing the camera to head out.

she now walked through the large company, the top half of her face visible as the rest was covered with her mask.

she filmed bits and pieces of her short adventure to the upstairs portion of the building, including going through the triple-spot security checkpoints.

she held her camera as she typed something into a keypad, a bright 'beep!' sounding– letting her gain access to the place she'd arrived to.

she continued holding the device as she walked into the unfamiliar space, placing her bag down before placing the camera down on a small table.

she crouched, leaning into the camera, "okay~ i've never talked about this place before," she said, eyes crinkling. "i've begged PDNim for my own studio since.. like, 2015? but with the offices and stuff were always occupied with everyone else's studios.. but since we moved to this building, i got to design my own!" she exclaimed, now clapping out of excitement.

"so~ ENGENE~ welcome to my studio! i haven't thought of a name for it yet, but i'm getting there,"

she began giving a tour, showing pieces of her studio that she'd put a lot of time into.

"this is the main part," she said, showing a black desk. it was minimalistic, containing a small stationary cup, a keyboard, a beat pad, her big computer and it's keyboard and mouse, and a space meant for her laptop. "it's simple and doesn't have much.. but i think it's better like that?"

a microphone station also stood next to the desk, in front of the big computer screen.

"oh! i have LED lights, too," she said, the camera now facing her as she held a small remote. the room's colour changed from white to purple, the girl smiling. "the different colours help me concentrate on different things,"

"now~ my record player!" she said, showing another device held by a small stand. "it's a record player, CD player, and bluetooth all in one, really handy,"

she then briefly showed the vinyls she had stored in the room, once again putting the camera on the desk.
"you guys probably know this.. but i have a lot of albums," she laughed, "like, kpop albums.. and sometimes i'll bring some in here depending on my mood that day or the type of music i'm trying to make.. oh! or if i have someone in here with me, i'll let them choose what music they want to listen to," she slightly smiled, picking the device up once again.

"now... my plants!"

she walked to a different corner of the room, "i have my couch over there," she said, pointing to a black coloured leather couch decorated with various plushies and blankets. "and over here~ i have my plants and picture wall!"

the girl lightly skimmed over the pictures, viewers able to recognize some of the people on the wall's faces.

"i let the members name my plants," she explained, showing her seven plants decorating the room.

she finally finished her mini studio tour, sitting down in her 'work chair' as she liked to call it.

"now~ like i think i said earlier, i have some projects i haven't had time to catch up on.. so that's why i'm in here today!"

she was about to say something else when a knock on the door sidetracked her train of thought.

"oh?" she mumbled, watching the doorknob turn– revealing YeonJun on the other side.

"hello, baby," he said, walking in, slowing his pace when the girl began to laugh.

"hi, hyung,"
"what're you-"
"i'm vlogging today, can i keep that in?"
a light blush crept up on the older's face, eyes finally trailing up towards the camera that'd been situated on her work station.
"oh, hello~ i'm TXT's YeonJun," he introduced himself, NaRi once again giggling at his actions.
"is it okay if i stay in here?" he asked her, the girl nodding immediately.
"i'm gonna be working on these songs for a while, but if you want to then yeah,"

he slightly leaned down, handing her a large cup with her favourite drink in it. "i know you'll be doing a lot, so i brought you this,"
she showed a big toothy grin, whispering a 'thank you' as she squealed, receiving a kiss on her forehead from the elder before he sat down, out of frame.

she turned back towards the camera, "in case you were all wondering what my go-to boba order is, it's a coconut milk tea, tapioca pearls, and regular everything!" she unwrapped her straw, holding the cup firmly as she closed her eyes, allowing her hand to place the straw wherever it wanted.

she was quick to take her first sip. "mm!" she exclaimed, eyes slightly widening, "it's really good today!"

she then opened her tote bag, taking out her beloved laptop and a small, leather notebook.

she held the book up, "this.. i don't think i've ever showed this before? but i write all of my lyric ideas and beat ideas or.. inspiration in here!" she explained, quickly flipping through the pages. "it's quite full~ i've gone through.. about six of these? yeah," she shyly smiled, "i've got lots of ideas,"

she carefully placed it on the table, now opening her decorated laptop, "if i don't have my book, i'll use my notes app to write anything down," she explained.

she picked up the camera, "does ENGENE wanna see some projects i've worked on?"
she turned the lens to record the laptop screen, quickly scrolling through a folder filled with completed, unreleased songs.

she placed the camera back down, "there's a bit.. barely anyone's heard them, too," she slightly laughed, opening her 'unfinished' projects folder, finding her most recent craft.

"i've heard them~" YeonJun exclaimed in a sing-songy voice, the girl laughing. "yes you have, hyungie,"

she put her headphones on, mind delving into creative mode.

a time lapse then played — solely of the girl typing, writing, and listening to whatever came from her device.

she took her headphones off, "it's completed? i think?" she slightly chuckled, "i've got to get some approval on it, but i think it's good,"

she turned her head to see the boy with his airpods in, making grabby hands for only a few seconds before catching his attention.

she smiled as the elder once again appeared on the screen, a time lapse of YeonJun listening to the song then playing.

the video then returned to regular time, YeonJun seen smiling as he took the headphones off, patting her head. "it's really good. i like what you added,"

she smiled as a thank you, returning her attention to the laptop.

(another time lapse)

she took her headphones off once again, placing them in their case. "okay~ i'm all done with those now," she smiled, placing the case into a cubby included on her desk, now getting a notebook and pencil case out.

"as you all probably are tired of hearing, i've been learning.. four? new languages recently," she quickly counted on her fingers, soon shrugging. "i don't remember, but i haven't had enough.. energy? to study or learn anything else, but today i do! so i'm going to try and catch up to where i should be now!" she explained, finishing with a grin and a small nod.

the notebook was a.. hefty one. it was divided into four sections, plenty of sticky notes stuck on the sides to label the different subjects.

she showed a page of her thai practices, "my handwriting has.. improved?" she said, in a questioning tone. "thai has been sort of hard to learn to write, but we're getting there,"

she then turned to a page of her Cantonese practices, "this handwriting is significantly better,"

she then quickly showed her Portuguese and bahasa Indonesian writings, a small smile on her face as she placed the camera back in front of her.

"my teachers have sent me plenty of practices to go over, so i'll do those first before my self-found courses!"

yet another time lapse of the girl shown working was played, fast-paced clips of her pencil and mouth moving — as she was writing and reading the work aloud.

a few seconds, which in reality had been an hour, finally passed by, the girl taking off her headphones for the final time.

"i've worked a lot today~" she slightly smiled, "i think it's time to end the vlog," she said, frowning.

as she opened her mouth to say something else, her phone began to ring. "oh?" she mumbled, smiling upon seeing who was calling her.

she faced the phone towards the screen, the name 🖤 shown to viewers.

she answered the call, putting the boy on speaker. "hello?" she responded in the boy's native language.
"hello~ Mitsuki~"
"yes?"
"what are you doing?"
"i've been in the studio for a while, working on songs and studying, what about you?"
"oh~ sounds fun! i just came back from the company,"
"did you have a good practice?"
"always~" the younger replied, words holding a certain tone which made the girl realize he wanted something.

"rik?"
"yes, noona?"
she chuckled at the rare honourific. "i knew it. what do you want?"
he giggled, "i can never hide anything from you,"
"nope!"

"hyungs are being mean and won't let me order take out.. can you come home and cook something?"
she smiled at his request, "of course, jagi.. i just have to pack up and i'll head out.. fifteen?"
he made a noise of confirmation, "be safe, jagi~"

she ended the call, chuckling as she looked to the camera, "there you have it, ENGENE.. an unfiltered call between me and the maknae,"
"it's always like this," was heard from the background, undoubtedly from YeonJun.

she giggled, "i guess the vlog isn't over just yet~ ENGENE will have to come along with me!" she cheesily smiled, the video then showed a small time lapse of the girl packing her bag, YeonJun also helping her gather her things from the day.

the two then put their masks on, NaRi grabbing the camera with her left hand, her right holding the older male's after locking the studio door.

it then cut to the two walking outside, a mini clip of the pair showing off their eye smiles with it as well.

NaRi and YeonJun soon arrived at the dorm, taking off their shoes as she continued recording.

viewers heard a stampede of footsteps coming closer to her, the girl smiling as the seven boys appeared before her, hugging the two.

"NaRi and hyung!"
"baby~"
"hi, jagi, hi, hyung,"
"hi Nanie, hi hyung,"

"hi, guys,"
"hi, hyungies," the two replied, encased in the big group hug before letting go.

NaRi held the camera up, capturing the eight boys in frame. Sunoo noticed first, groaning out of embarrassment, "she's recording!"

the boys concurrently lifted their heads, only to look directly into the vlogging camera they'd all held during the span of a few weeks. they all chuckled, eventually leaving the group hug back to their individual places, though still surrounding the two newcomers.

"noona," ni-ki just barely whispered, wanting to go almost unnoticed because of the camera's presence.
"hm?"
"could you make... hm.. your Chinese fried rice and... Chinese hamburgers?" he somewhat shyly asked, NaRi finding it cute.

"if you can say them in Chinese then i will," she said, cheekily smiling at the boy as he grimaced at her request, brain working overdrive to do it, nonetheless.

"hm.. fried.. rice..?" he said in a questioning tone, the girl smiling at the younger as a form of approval and encouragement.
"and.. ròu... jiā.. mó..?" he struggled, though answered correctly.
"of course, rik! is there anything else you guys want?" she said, turning towards the other members.

"it's not Chinese but.. oh, what were they called?" Sunoo began, looking at the others as a call for help.
"the.. bananas? the sweet ones?" Jake helped the younger, not able to remember the name either.

"plantains?" she asked, the boys' eyes brightening upon hearing the familiar Spanish word.

variations of affirming responses filled the room, NaRi giggling as she nodded yes.

she quickly moved to the kitchen, placing the camera on the island, viewers seeing her tie her hair back before washing her hands. YeonJun came in behind her, helping her put on her favourite apron.

she turned as the older was tying the bottom, showing off the lavender-coloured minimalistic apron, YeonJun placing a quick kiss on her forehead upon finishing.

the rest of the video was a time lapse, showing NaRi prepare the different cooking utensils she'd need, the girl also showing the ingredients she was using for the three different dishes for the boys.

music played over the hour and a half long video— which had been turned to twenty five thanks to her editor.

the video turned back to normal speed, the girl placing her hands on the table as she sighed, letting her head drop as well.

she picked it up, tiredly smiling at the camera after seeing her reflection.

"well, i'm done-" she started, realizing she'd spoken the wrong language.

multilingual not multilingualing read the caption on the bottom of the screen, as the editor had made the clip zoom into her confused face.

"i finished the food," she began, smiling after receiving confirmation from YeonJun she'd spoken Korean, "it looks good! let me show you all~"

she picked up the camera, turning with it to face the stove. she picked up the lid, pointing the lens at the pot of Chinese fried rice she'd made— packed with the veggies and proteins she knew they boys all loved in the dish. she then moved to the cooled-down pan where the Chinese hamburgers sat, "woah~ they look the best," she mumbled out, viewers able to hear the smile in her words.

finally, she moved to a paper-towel covered bowl, filled with the fried plantains the boys had grown to love with her.

she put the camera down on the island once again,

"well~ the boys are ready to eat now, they've been playing games since i began cooking and they're hangry now," she laughed, YeonJun's laugh being heard in the background.

"i'm sorry i didn't do anything super interesting today, but i hope you all still enjoyed coming along with me on a productive day after a while! i really enjoyed this, and i hope we get the chance to do it again! bye bye~" she said goodbye, waving as she blew kisses, before reaching for the record button, turning the video off.
