Author's POV

Arjun didn't saw anything and kept looking at the floor. He then felt Meera ner him, he looked up and then she sat on his lap sidewise.

"You know, you can share with me anything.. you know I will never judge you...you know I am always there for you. So please just let it out." she said cupping his cheeks and there only Arjun decided to get it all out.

He decided to open up to his love who will never judge him, who will never leave him, who is always beside her.

"Its about my father"

"What about him?" She whispered to him looking curious.

"You think he is missing?" He asked looking straight in her eyes. She bite her lips and nodded as yes. Seeing her Arjun chuckled.

"He isn't Meera, he isn't missing. He was once but not for long" He explained and tighten his hold on her. She stayed silent encouraging him to go on. He took a deep breath, Meera too circled her arms around his neck and rubbed his back.

"I was 18 back then, freshly completed my high school, when my father and grandfather advised me to visit our head office once in few days as I was the future heir and it was the time when I should start taking interest in business. At first I wasn't very pleased by this. I wasn't interest in business at that time. I wanted to make my career as a artist. But life never goes as you want."

He started with a small smile and chuckled sadly. Meera stayed silent and just kept listening to him.

"Unwillingly but I started to visit in office and they started to discuss things with me. After few months I felt like business world was interesting and I too started to took interest in it. By then I was doing my graduation. It was near my 19th birthday when my father's secretary, Mrs. Seema seth was resigning due to her family issue but before leaving she selected the next secretary for my father. He was never a fan of secretary as he prefers doing his work on his own but when he got married he thought to appoint one for him. He wanted to spend more time with my mother but then he left that idea. But when Gauri di was born he immediately appointed one for him so he/she can mange his work behalf of him. Mrs. Seth wad a very good women, her work was good and she never interfered in my father's life apart from business. That made my father trust her so when she was leaving she appointed a another worn for him. Miss Kanak rathi."

As hs took her name only bitterness spill out. Meera can sense his body posture becoming rigid, his face turning cold, jaw clenched and fist formed.

For once Meera's heartbeat picked its pace as the hold he has on her waist also tighten making her winch a little but she controlled.

"At first everything was good, for few months Miss Rathi was doing her work good if we ignore her disgusting look on my father or Cunning smile near me. If we just ignore the way she behave sometime. My father didn't minded it much as soon as she worked well. She use to talk to my father and being a young women she always has a excuse that she is learning things. It was One fine evening when I saw her sitting close to my father, they were discussing something, she was sitting so close that there shoulders were brushing. I saw the look she was giving my father I don't liked that and then I yelled at her first time telling her to go out."

He said and took a deep breath again.

"My father was shock, he didn't said anything that time but as soon as she was out he stood up and come toward me and made me sit on a the sofa. Then he said

"What was that son..? " his father asked in disbelief.

"What?" He said irritated

"Why you shouted at her, it was rude son."

"Why I shouted at her..? Really dad!! Didn't you see how she was sitting soo close to you, how she always look at you, how she behave around you?" Arjun said asked getting up.

His father too stood up and then went near him.

"Son,I-I never noticed that...but still you shouldn't have shouted at her. She is older then you"

Hearing his father Arjun just frown and the with ultra anger left only after glaring at his dad and saying

"You are unbelievably dad!"

-as I left from there I went back home. I was so angry that I don't talked at anyone after that." Arjun said and hearing him anyone can say he was still angry.

Meera sat straight hearing his angry voice. For a second she thought to get off from his lap but then seeing him angry yet emotional remembering all this,She stayed quiet.

Arjun lowered himself to hide his face in her hair trying to find comfort.

"After that I didn't talked to my father for days, it was hard for my me to believe that he defended her in front of me. I didn't liked her ever and then thought she did that intentionally. And she succeeded in it." He said with soo much hatred.

"My relation with my father was soo good before her entry in our life but after that, I was highly disappointed in my father. After that day I use to keep a sharp eyes on my father where i noticed the change in his  behaviour. At first I wasn't vocal to my thoughts but after seeing that she started to being bossy in office and started to take decisions instead of my father my patients broke. I went to confront him to which he said-

"Dad aren't you seeing Miss rathi's behaviour? She is treating other people as low people and showing herself as high and mighty" Arjun said calmly yet in anger. He heard few people saying rubbish about them and that inked him good.

"Son, she is just doing her work. Her work is to manage the things out there" His father said with a sign.

"Dad I know what her work is.! And I also know she needs to know her limits before I show her it. And I am telling you dad it won't end well"

He said remembering a worker saying she had the boss wrapped around her finger...what does that mean?

Hearing him her father frown and the closed the file place infront of him.

"Arjun what does that mean?" Her father said. Arjun noticed his changed behaviour.

"Its means she is just a worker here too and I want her to know her limits here before my patients broke. And I don't think you will do it anytime soon then I will took the whole matter in my hand" Arjun said little harshly remembering there all nasty comments and her nasty looks. This all was so frustrating for him.

Hearing him his father shouted on him for thr first time.

"I will advise you to stay in your limits Arjun. Don't forget to whom you are talking to! I know what's her limit and I know what she is doing!"

Hearing him Arjun was shocked and looked at his father in disbelieve.

"Why you keep defending her infront of me? Why you are always ready to have a fight with me because to her ?" He said feeling soo sad. Hearing him her father shoot his head.

"And why do you always complain about her. Why is your problem with her?" Het father asked or yelled.

"Because I don't like her dad! And why is she still here...she is worse in her work as much as I have see now a days" he said equally angry. It wasn't a lie now a days she is just doing her work as worse as her face.

"Dad why aren't you kicking her out yet? We will find a new potential secretary for you...or actually I don't think you need secretary. I will take over in few years until you can make me work on your behalf also....I am ready dad" atlast he pleaded to which the features of his father soften. He just signed and then told him to go.

"Go Arjun. Leave me alone"

Arjun was a type of child who didn't like showing his weakness to everyone. He was a reserve type of child and saying all this and even pleading wasn't he do more offen. It hurt him soo much knowing he just ignored his pleads.

He glanced at her dad angrily before getting up and storming out.

- After that day I distanced myself from him. But it wasn't hidden from my mother. She noticed our gap and tried to talk to me. But I dismissed it. Saying it's nothing. But now i regret, i should have talked to her maybe....just maybe then I would have saved her"

"Saved her?" Meera questioned hearing him. She looked at his face only to see pain.

Arjun remember that time, the whole year went by him bring tensed about his father, his company, his mother.

His 18 year old teenager mind was too filled up with his father changed behaviour, company's problems that he dismissed his mother.

"Yes, because after that my father did something that made me hate him, that made me feel like destroying the whole world. That made me suffocate on his presence and all thos resulted to my mother's first heart attack"

Arjun said and Meera Gasp. A lone tear leaved his eyes remembering the dreadful day when he almost lose his mother.

"H-Heart attack" Meera gasped out covering her mouth.

"Yes, A heart attack. It was a minor one. I was too scared Meera. At that time I hated my father and only had my mother. There was moment here I wanted to tell her everything but het heath stooped me. I-I didn't knew why all this happened to her" he said and his voice cracked at last.

Meera's heart pained hearing him.

Oh...how much he went through...

"What he did..?"

Meera asked after 2 minutes of silence.

Arjun clenched his jaw tightly and then hissed.

"He slapped me because of her..."

Arjun was in his office when he saw that bitch and another one roaming around but a little suspiciously. His curiosity peaked and he followed her. He saw her talking to some other men and handing him over a blue file.

He remembered his father's latest project, the detailed were on the same blue file. He frown but then before he can say anything he saw her looking at his direction.

He was caught...

Fine then..! Lets play.

He thought and went to her, that man run away seeing him, Arjun tried to follow him but that was of no use.

"What you gave him?" He asked gritting his teeths. To which she worn just a smrik.

"You don't need to know little boy.. but still I'll tell you. It was something i shouldn't have given to him"

Hearing her he understood it was same file he was thinking of it.

"How dare you" he yelled and marched towards her. She took a step back and then looked at him in anger.

"Stop there, you don't want to do something and then face the consequences" she gritted which added fuel to his anger.

"Are you threatening me?" He hissed Dangerously to which she just smrik.

"You know I can just throw you out of the company in a instant and still you have the guts to say this after doing wrong" he gritted yelled.

"But you can't. You father won't let you" she said still smriking.

"He will. When he will know what you did" Arjun said with a smrik.

"You really think your father will believe you..?" She laughed out making him angry.

Without replying her he went to his father's office in anger. He spotted her father on the gate of his office. He stooped there and roared.

"Dad! I want to say something " to which his father nodded at him while clenching his jaw. He didn't like his tone at all.

"Dad! That women is a cheater. She gave out project details to anyone eles I have seen her doing this with my eyes." he said and till now whole office was crowded them. His father's eyes turn red due to anger.

Soon Kanak came there running and crying, Arjun was shocked to see her change. Her condition wasn't looking good.

"Sir, please kick me out but don't say something like this. I can never cheat." She said while crying. Her father looked between then and then turned to her.

"What happene to you?" He asked seeing her condition.

She let out a cry and then said.

"Sir, I wa just going to the finances department he stooped me and told me to give the file. When I refused him he slapped me and threatened me saying he will throw me out of the company and will make a false impression about me." Hearing her Arjun's eyes bulged out.

He Stormed at her In anger while saying.

"Yoy lieing bitch..-" he was stooped with a thund voice and soon a pain stings on his cheeks.

He looked at his father in disbelieve who just slapped her believing that women over him.

"I can't believe you did something like that..! Its ridiculous Arjun. Get out"

He just stayed numb while Meera sobbed. She can't believe his father slapped him.

Her hand automatically went to his cheeks soothing them like they still hurt. Arjun closed his eyes remembering all that.

"Meera till now I don't know why he changed suddenly, why he did that?
My father was a great person, he loved my mother more then anything, he loved us more then himself but what changed between us?" He said opening his heart.

"You know Meera even getting a slap which I didn't deserve I was shameless enough to try to mend my relationship with him. Because of my mother but what he did on my birthdays night was something unforgettable."

He sobbed at first and then pulled Meera more to him. She too hugged his tightly.

"What he did?' Meera murmured to him looking at his face which turn sour all of sudden.

"On my 19th birthday my grandfather organised a grand party. I was quite happy that after a whole stressful year I can relax for one day but that day wasn't for relaxing me. It was to destroy everything."

"It was 6 in evening when he didn't returned. I was waiting for him to come and wish me but he never came. I tried calling him but his phone was switched off. Whole night I waited for him but he never come. I was highly disappointed but I let it all go But in early morning my phone pinged. There was a message which changed everything."

Meera was sad yet curious now.

"It was a picture of my father and his secretary on bed together and under a sheet." He said hiding his face in her neck.

Meera gasped hearing him.

"There was a text too. Saying to do as it say or the photo will be circulated around. Knowing the popularity of RAJVANSHI'S, that mere photo has the power to destroy us. I immediately went to my grandfather and informed him." Arjun said and his whole posture turn rigid. He became angry.

"Meera it took us 100crores to supress the news and 1000 of lies to my mother and other family members. Meera after that for a whole month not grandfather at that age was running here and there to protect his reputation. Me-Too barely grown up had to take over the company. Because the-My father decided to run away without any explanation." He completed with a sad sigh and got reminder of there days where he was struggling to keep the company up with the help of his grandfather and his grandfather was struggling to protect his family reputation that too without anyone letting it know. Not even the family.

All this Meera was shocked to here. He has a lot up secrets inside him... but what was bothering him was that what he said the next moment.

"I hate him"
