Meera POV....

Today is siya's Mehndi and my engagement too.
Yeah... my engagement.
It's been 2 days since the alliance was made and tomorrow is siya's Weeding.

As per Arjun's and mine horoscope the best day for our engagement is today or after 6 months.
Who believes in that??
So they all decided that the day will be today.

I haven't excepted the new that I am going to marry Arjun till now and today is my engagement. Its devastating for me.

I am getting ready for my engagement and Mehndi both.
I mean first Mehndi will get done and then my engagement.
So I am getting ready for both the ceremony.
After Mehndi its girls night.
In girls night all the girls and women of bride family gathered at a please and they sung songs and dance.
I am so excited for tonight as everyone will dance and sing.

I got ready in pink net Lengha with floral print.

I was sitting in my room and thinking about my life. My past was continuously taunting my present and affecting a lot my future.

From past few days I wasn't happy I wasn't bubbly just like I use to be.
I was knowing my past but somehow hide it behind my smile because the there was no one who remind me but now I will have to live with that person whose eyes will continuously taunt me continuously remind me my devastating past.

I was afraid of looking at Arjun but now I afraid of him. His anger.
He is unpredictable.....
What he is thinking or what he us doing only he knows....

I don't know how I will manage this. I don't know why all this is happening to me.

I don't know when I started crying until someone wipes my tears away.
I saw that person was Gaurav.

I furrowed my brows in confusion.
But before I ask anything he said
" hey.. Meera please don't cry..... I don't know what's the reason you are crying but please if it is related to Arjun then I'll only say that Whatever he is doing it's for your own good." I titled my head a little in confusion.
My own good??

"Just forget all this Meera... enjoy it's your own engag-" before he finish door burst open and there come super happy puja.
"Moorr you won't believe but rishi is coming in for engagement.... i am so happy. I will see him after 4 days." She completed without noticing Gaurav. Rishi is her boyfriend.
He looked at her in confusion then at me. He make really funny face in confusion that I can't help but giggled at his face.

"Who is rishi???" Gaurav ask and then puja noticed him. She quickly composed himself and fold her hand across her chest.
"What are you doing here???" She ask harshly.
He never give her any answers just keep looking at her. My phone buzz indicating a message.
I tore my gaze from them and looked at my phone.
It was from hospital about some patients.

"Hey Gaurav what are you doing here??" I heard someone. It was siya's aunt standing with siya.She is such a joyful lady.
" nothing" he murmured scratching back of his neck.
" then go naa... you have to pick Anu from her friend's house too." She said.
Anu means anushka she is her daughter and Piyush's sister. She is also studying medical. And she is in Chennai for her studies but she came yesterday and now she is at her friend's house.
She is in first year.

"Yeah..." he said and give a glance to puja who rudely ignored him and walk out  with aunty.
Something was up definitely. They were acting weird.

I ignore the fact and looked in front of me. There were siya and puja left only.
I smile at them and they reciprocate the smile.
"So are you ready??" Puja asked me
And I nodded.
I wasn't in mood to talk but they were continuously cracking jokes and also I can't control myself and started laughing.

After few minutes Arjun mother came and took siya for Mehndi in garden.
We reach to garden and all ladies were sitting there and some  mehndi artists were also. They first started in siya's hand as she is the bride.

After and hours and so my Mehndi was done also.

I was sitting in garden humming a song as all were busy in there own.
I love singing and let me tell if I wasn't a doctor I must be a singer.
I didn't noticed anyone until someone clear his throat.
I didn't have to see who is the person. His cologne mix with his strong perfume is enough for me to know its Arjun.
I stopped humming an lower my head and waited for him to say why he is here.

He didn't said anything so I watch from corner of my eye.he just keep looking at my hand and then a small smile play on his lips.

What he is doing??

My throat was dry so I let out a cough a little I didn't noticed that Arjun got up and went somewhere until I found a glace of water near my mouth.my hand was covered with Mehndi so I drunk the water from his hand and push the glass a little.

I muttered a thank you.I was shocked with his action he act like he care but I know he didn't.

He didn't utter a word till now and I wasn't looking at him. I was afraid that if I will look I will freak out and I don't want to create any scene.
"Meera have you eaten something???" He ask for the very first time since he sat near me.
I shoot my head looking down.why do he care?? . From corner of my eyes I looked at him.
He run his hand on his hair making them messy. He muttered something under his breath.
He looked annoying and frustrated.
"Meera look at me " he ordered in calm voice.
It wasn't clam it was dangerous clam.

I bite my lips but don't lift my head.
Then he lean forward a little and I backward.
" Look.at.me.Meera" he said in pissed voice. I know I pushing his limits so I timidly lift my head a little biting my lower lip. Before he say anything or do his phone started ringing. He cursed under his breath and stand up and started moving away but now before giving me a look that I don't understand.

After few minutes everyone started going inside to get ready for engagement. Everyone was super excited but I wasn't. I just want this to be happen

Arjun P.O.V...

I was getting ready today is my engagement after and today I am going to catch the bastard who think he can thread me.

If everything went according to my plan then. I am sure about my plan but the problem is there will be many people....may be many near the culprit too. It would be a hard task to escort the culprit near mr without knowing anyone.
I was fixing my brooch with Gaurav entered in my room.
"Everything is set" he said in serious tone I nodded at him.

"Meera said anything???" Gaurav ask.and I remember what happens in garden.

Flashback....

Today Gaurav came in my room he was annoyed I can sense it.
I ask him what happene then he said what happene in Meera's room.
He said she was crying and he didn't know why she was crying but I know.

He said me to go to her and comfort her.
I also not know why she didn't want to marry me.why she denied my proposal at first place. I know I behave like s jerk to her but what can I do??. I have my reasons.....
I was going to tell her but then she pushed my button. I can't help but I have anger issues and don't know why her deny doesn't fit me very well.

So today I was going to ask what's the matter.
"May be she love someone else !!.." my subconscious said and may be it's TRUE but I don't know why just thinking about it my heart clenched and I feel a pain in my heart.
I don't want my assumption to be true.
When I sit near her,her body because tense. She was humming some song and I must say she has mindblowing voice. But then she suddenly stop.
I didn't utter a word just sit beside her. I noticed her hand was covered with heena(Mehndi). I saw my name on it and without knowing me a smile made his place on my lips.
I was looking at her hand then she coughed,I run and bring glass of water for her.
I don't know why I am doing this!! I never did this for anyone but again "she is not anyone she is your soon to be wife you responsibilty" my subconscious said.

I push the glass of water to her mouth she took few sips and then push the glass.
I doubt she havn't eaten anything so I ask "Meera have you eaten something ??" And as expected she shoot her head. But didn't look at me nor utter a word.
I run my hand on my hairs.
I AM ANNOYED
"What's her problem??" I muttered unde my breath. I can't blame her may be she is afraid of me or may be anything else...

But today I am very much determined to get the answer I needed.
" Meera look at me " I said after claiming myself. But again this girl has to deny me.
This girl has to make me angry.
Aghhhh...

"Look.at.me.Meera " I said gritting my teeths. But this time she lifted her head and looked at me. I saw how beautiful she is looking. Her face was red a little but still she is looks soo beautiful.
But before I complement or say anything my phone start ringing.

Flashback end...

"No.." I answer Gaurav plainly. He huffed but didn't said anything.
"May be today you can tell her the reason of your sudden decision... she is going to be your wife she must know everything about her husband" he said and mentally I agree with him a bit but at the same point I didn't trust anyone else to share my secret.. and I didn't know much about her too.
It may cause damage to my family. It may reveal the secret I had.
"I'll think about it " I said and he didn't argue back because he knows it's a sensitive topic to me.

"Let's go... it's your engagement " Gaurav squeal and I chuckled
" yeah " I said and pick my phone from nights and message my private detective to collect all the info about Meera.
Isn't it great... you know nothing about your fiancee....my subconscious mucked and it was right but in there 4 days I didn't get time to do background check on her.

We made out way to ball. It was our private ballroom where only our family function helds...

I step in and wait for Meera. After 15 minute they reach.
We immediately started th ceremony.

Meera wa standing in front of me and her head was as usual low.
" Arjun put the ring on her finger " maa said and put her hand on my shoulder.
I grab her hand gently and put the ring on her finger. This ring was my grandmother's ring. It was her wish that I do my engagement with her ring.
It was looking absolutely stunning. The ring literally look like it was made for her.
I look at her hand which has my name ring.
She was marked mine.
Her ring was showing whoms she belongs to. I feel pride after looking at her hand.
I left her hand and then she held my hand then she put the ring on my finger.
It wa simple platinum ring having few diamonds.

After putting rings we were seated on our respective seats. Guests were coming to congratulate us. When suddenly her phone started ringing first she ignored because on that time few minsters were coming to congratulate us but then it again started ringing then she picked up the call.
I don't know who was on call but suddenly her phone dropped and she started running from ballroom. She was running without caring she was in her own engagement.
I furrowed my brows in confusion when I pick her phone and saw the caller I'd. It was puja.

I call her again and ask what happene
" Gauri dii....she she " only listening Gauri di name I also run but not before telling Gaurav to handle the party.
I call maa she tell they are in one of the room in backyard.
I hurriedly made my way. When I reach there I saw Meera was examining dii.
What she is doing??

After few minutes she came out. She wasn't the shy girl who hang her head low in front of me. She was looking confident.

She directly went to pranab(Gauri's husband)and handed him a list. We all made our way towards her.

"Its nothing... both baby and mother is safe.... it's just due to excitement and lack of rest this happen.her blood pressures is high a  little" she explained. By the time Gaurav also come to us.
"She is a doctor???" I muttered under my breath but my bad Gaurav listen
"How cute... you know your fiancee very much" he said sarcastically and I mentally scroll myself for not knowing this.

"She will be fine right " maa asked. She smiled at her and said
" yes..... aunty she will be fine it's just we need to take little precautions and she needs to do  is rest." Maa nodded st her and thank her.
I'll must thank her...

After few minutes we left dii to rest and all the womens went for girls night.
I went to my room where Gaurav followed me.
"Arjun let's execute the plan" he said and I nodded.
We went to the warehouse where everything was arranged.
"Any progress??" I ask.  He nodded
" sir the person who send you that message is right now in this area And I think it's your mansion " he is right it's my mansion location.
"Sir the person isn't moving... it's like he/she is sitting somewhere" he said again.
"Gaurav let's go..and you will informe me when I am near him/her or if the person started moving " I said and he nodded.
We went back to mansion and was informed that that person didn't move. I follow his direction and found the person is with womens where they are celebrating girls night.
" it means it's a girl!!!" Gaurav said in shock. I nodded clenching my jaw.
"Come..." I said and we made our way inside.
Boys aren't allowed there but I have to go so we take the back door to get entry. As we enter we saw there were so artists doing ghoomar dance.

(Ghoomar dance us tradition flock dance of rajasthan.
                                 The dance is chiefly performed by veiled women who wear flowing dresses called ghaghra. The dance  typically involved person prioueetting while moving in and out of a circle.)

I carefully cross them and stopped at a corner of room. I roam my eyes on the room and saw everyone from family. I noticed that Meera wasn't there...
"Where is she??" I thought...
As I was thinking I saw a Meera coming from washroom I think...
She look tired Her face look pale a little.
I doubt she havn't eaten anything....
Ufff this girl!!!...

I was looking at Meera continuously that I forgot Gaurav was still beside me. He clear his throat for gaining my attention.
"She is all yours" he said with a smrik.
I just look away from him.

I got the message that the girl who think she can  threaten me was with them. Sitting among them. Enjoying my sister's wedding.

"Sir the person is in your right direction" I got the message and saw in  my right direction.

I clenched my jaw and roam my eyes in room.
I again saw Meera she was laughing.
God!!!she look so beautiful while smiling...
I forget why I was here. I was just looking at her.
I don't know for how many time I watch her but I was snapped away my dreamland when all the womens stand up and start dancing.

"Sir the person is moving" I got the message.
Shit

"What is the exact direction" I messaged back.
"Sir the phone is off now" he messaged me.

"Shit...  how can I?? I was soo lost in Meera that i forgot why i was here shit shit shit " I shouted in my brain.
This never happened to me.. no one had this much effect on me. I forgot my work just to look at my fiancee as a  creep.
I turn only to see Gaurav looking at...........puja??? With soft expression??
"Didn't they fight always??" I questioned myself.
I clear my throat and gained his attention.
I raise my eyebrows to him and I saw his neck and ear slightly turn red..
"Are you blushing??" I questioned him with smrik.
He rub hin neck and compose himself and ask" what happene??? Who's culprit??" He ask and I shoot my head.
"We lost her" i said simply.
We slowly made our way out but then suddenly someone bumped in me.
I lowered my head and saw its....
Meera???
She was about to fall so I hold her from her waist.

She was laughing loudly. I think she didn't know she bumped into me. Her head was in my chest as she was panting.
Just to acknowledge my presence I tighten my arms around her bare waist.  Her skin is soo soft that whenever  she is near me my hand started itching to touch her soft skin.when I tighten my griping her laughter died immediately and she looked up.
As our eyes meet she frozen on her spot.
She look down  shyly and her face turn red as she noticed our position.
She tried to wiggle but I only tighten my grip.
I lean down near her ear and whisper
"Thank you " she looked at me in confusion " for helping di" I completed and she nodded. She was still in my arms.she stayed still for a second but then again started wiggling. This time I loosen my grip and let her go.

Author P.O.V....

Arjun was having Meera in his arms and whispering something in her ear. If anyone would see then they will think they are in love and that was the exactly thought of someone who was watching then from far away.
Fuming in anger the person storm her feet.
" I did everything to have you.... I trigger your weakness too..... but I can't have you" she said in sadness but then her face turn red in anger.
"Don't worry Meera.... I haven't accepted my defeat yet" she said with smrik on her face.

So any guess who is this  SOMEONE?????

Aww they missed the chance to catch the culprit😢😢😢

What will they do now???

Yayyyy... the engagement is done!!!
