Honey stood back as Demetri held Alice in his grip, Bella was near the blonde as Edward and Felix fought against one another. The taller Vampire had been ordered by Aro to kill Bella however, Edward was efficient in blocking the Volturi Guards actions. "Please! No, no! Please! Kill me. . . Kill me!" Bella screamed out as Honey held her back, the blonde felt her heart breaking at the pain in her friends voice. "How extraordinary. You would give up your life. . . for someone like us. A vampire. A soulless monster," Aro mocked with intrigue. "His species has no role, Aro. Her heart is his and vice versa," Honey spoke up sternly, "Would you not give up your life for the one who held your heart in the palm of your hand? Or are you the soulless monster you proclaim all vampires are?"

Aro was silent at the words of the blonde, he tilted his head finding her eyes strikingly familiar. "Just get away from him!" Bella demanded, Felix held Edward by his throat ready to tear his head from his shoulders. "If only it be your intention to give her immortality," Aro expressed to Edward. "Wait! Bella will be one of us. I've seen it. I'll change her myself," Alice expressed as she held out her palm, Demetri let go upon Aro waving her forward. "Mesmerising! To see, what you have seen before it has happened," Aro complimented Alice as he let go of her hand. "Your gifts. . . will make for an intriguing. . . immortal, Isabella," Aro spoke ominously, "Go now. Make your preparations." Caius spoke up next, "Let's be done with this." Honey was glad to leave, ignoring Felix' eyes who followed her every move until she disappeared from his sight.

Honey was silent for their return trip to Forks, Bella was practically attached to Edwards side and hadn't said a word to her in this time. It was clear that Alice and Edward were weary of the blonde and this left her wanting to be in Jacob's arms. She was worried he'd be angry for leaving, she just wanted to be there to support her best friend ─ someone she viewed as a sister ─ who was now acting like the blonde didn't even exist. It was heartbreaking, she watched the clouds pass by the window, she reached up to wipe the tear from her eye before closing her eyes. Honey wasn't stupid, she understood why Bella was focused on Edward, she had just almost witnessed his death; If it were her and Jacob, she'd be doing the same as Bella.

The flight from Italy to Washington was too long in Honey's eyes, she was just eager to be back home. Home. It had become home to her thanks to Jacob and the pack, it was clear that the blonde was not going to be adored by the Cullens based on Edwards hesitation and Alice's uncertainty. Though Honey could tell that a part of Edward was happy with the blonde's place in Jacob's life, her being his Imprint and Mate meant that Jacob wouldn't be after Bella. The plane finally arrived in Washington, Alice had departed from the three with the intention of heading to Jasper, Carlisle and Esme to inform them of everything that happened. This, of course, left Honey with the couple on the drive from Seattle to Forks, the tension in the car made Honey uncomfortable and she stayed silent.

The car came to a sudden stop, Edward slamming on the breaks causing Honey to open her eyes and look around in a panic for the threat. However, her eyes locked on the russet brown wolf standing in front of the car with his hackles raised. Honey frowned at the sight of him, the matted fur told her he had been in wolf form since she had left. "Jacob?" Bella called as she moved to get out only for Edward to stop her. "It's not you he wants," Edward told Bella before looking at the blonde through the rearview mirror. Honey freed herself from the seatbelt and grabbed her bag from next to her, she climbed out of the car and closed the door behind her. Despite trusting Jacob with all of her heart, she knew that his wolf was acting out due to his Imprint being around a Vampire.

Honey took cautious steps towards the wolf, the moment the tension lessened in his stance, she walked the rest of the way and placed her hand on his snout. "I'm sorry for leaving..." Honey whispered as she leaned her head against him, "But I'm home now, baby." Jacob nuzzled into her, a soft purr echoed through him at her words. "We're returning to Forks," Edward called out, neither had noticed him stepping out of the car, his eyes watching the two. Jacob growled at the words, his eyes focused on the Vampire who lowered his eyes. "I'm thankful for both of you looking out for Bella while I was gone, but I'm back now and I'm not leaving again," Edward expressed to the two, the look in his eyes showed his distrust for Honey who immediately felt angered by it as she stepped away from Jacob.

"Now hold on a second, Cullen!" Honey snapped as Bella got out of the car. "Honey..." Bella went to speak but Honey held her hand up cutting her off as she glared at Edward, "I have been friends with Bella since we were kids. I was there from day one, I was there when you disappeared thinking it was better for her!" Honey stepped closer to Edward, Jacob tense as he stood ready to help his Imprint. "I was there when you abandoned her in the woods. I was there when she screamed until her throat bled from nightmares! I was there holding her as she cried herself to sleep! I was there as she slowly began to heal from your loss! I was there when she did stupidly dangerous things just to see a delusion of your presence! I was there when she jumped off of a cliff! I was there when Victoria threatened her life!" With every sentence, Honey's steps closed in on Edward.

The environment seemed to darken with her words, the usual happiness that beamed off of Honey seemed to be overcast by shadows while her eyes seemed to change into the usual blood red of a Vampire. "I was there when she needed me, I was there when she went to Volterra to save you, leaving behind my Mate! I was there endangering my own life in the presence of the Volturi for her! I was there for her when I should've been spending all my time bonding with Jacob!" Honey was panting from the rage burning through her, Edward looked fearfully into her eyes as the words processed through his head. Bella lowered her head in shame listening to her best friend, realising just how much she had taken advantage of her kindness.

"So don't you dare stand there and tell me to back off, Edward Cullen. Otherwise the Volturi won't be who you have to worry about," Honey snapped as she felt Jacob's snout press against her back, the single touch was reassuring and allowed her to close her eyes and take in a deep breath. "I'm sorry, Honey... I─" Bella was cut off by the look on Honey's face. "I just─ Give me time... but don't act rash, Bella," Honey told the brunette, a knowing look in her eyes before she turned to Jacob. The wolf tilted his head before moving to walk with her, the two headed off into the woods leaving Bella standing by Edwards car, guilt and shame consuming her chest. Edward however, was stunned by what he had witnessed and knew he had to speak with Carlisle as soon as possible.

Jacob had sensed Honey's return immediately due to her close vicinity to Edward, it had stirred a sense of possessive nature through him. After spending the weekend in wolf form, his emotions had been haywire and the pack wasn't helping with their own worries about the blonde that had made an impact on them all. So her return had eased him and in turn, the pack felt less on edge hearing Jacob's thoughts about her return. Jacob picked up on Honey's unease, her brows scrunched in thought as she kept one hand on Jacob's side, her fingers enclosed around his fur. Jacob came to a stop and turned to look at her, his actions pulled her from her thoughts and she looked up at him with watery eyes and a guilt shining through.

"I'm really sorry, Jake. You asked me to stay but I let my protective nature over Bella take control and..." Honey trailed off as she stepped back and leaned against the tree behind her. Jacob whined at her words and stepped back, he closed his eyes and focused on phasing back to communicate with her properly; no shame in being nude in front of her. Honey was too preoccupied by her guilt to notice as Jacob ─ now in his human self ─ stepped up in front of her, cupping her face in his large hands. The blonde looked up at him, the height difference between them still made her swoon at times; this moment being one of them. "Don't apologise, Honey. Your loyalty to your friends is one of the reasons... I've fallen in love with you," Jacob told her softly, his dark eyes looking into her own.

Honey's eyes widened at his words, her heart was racing in her chest and it felt like there was a stampede in her stomach. Jacob smirked at the sight of her reddened cheeks, he moved closer and kissed her. Honey melted into the kiss, pressing her own lips against his as she tilted her head enough to deepen the kiss. Jacob's left hand moved from her face to her hip, pulling her closer to his body causing the warmth of his heightened temperature to burn pleasantly through Honey's own body. Jacob bit down lightly on Honey's bottom lip, the action caused a moan to leave the blonde's lips. The sound was like a melody to Jacob who had growled in response, his grip on her hip tightened as he pulled her closer than before. "Be my girl?" Jacob muttered against Honey's lips.

"I'm yours," Honey whimpered back as she felt Jacob's hardened erection against her body reminding her that he was naked. The realisation of that caused her to squeeze her thighs together, the action was caught by Jacob who smirked. He could smell her arousal sending his instincts wild, the desire to mate with his Imprint sent him into a lustful state as he moved to kiss Honey's jaw, down to her collarbone. The blonde Hybrid leaned her head back against the tree allowing Jacob to access more of her skin, he moved her shirt aside to give him access to a space between her collarbone and her shoulder. Honey's moans filled the area as she felt his canines brush against the skin before he left open mouth kisses across her neck and jaw, claiming her lips again.

"As much as I'd love to have you screaming my name right now..." Jacob said as he pulled back from Honey, his voice raspy as he continued, "I don't want to risk anyone else seeing my girl like that." Honey raised a brow at that with a sigh, "Don't the boys have access to your thoughts?" Jacob scoffed a laugh as he shook his head, "Yeah. They hear my thoughts, they don't see images." Honey nodded at that before frowning slightly, the sight caught Jacob's attention. "What's wrong?" Jacob asked as he brushed his fingers down her jaw, admiring the soft warmth of her skin. "You got me all excited and now... I might have to handle it myself," Honey whined, Jacob's eyes moved from where his fingers were brushing her cheek to her eyes. "Oh no, love... I'll help with that," Jacob assured her.

After collecting some shorts from a nearby stash spot, the couple continued their walk to the Black Residence. Jacob barely let his hands stray from the blonde, she was still battling the arousal she felt earlier and Jacob's teasing touches was only building the fire more. The moment they reached Jacob's house, he instantly grabbed her hand and dragged her towards his room. Thankfully, Billy Black was out and both assumed he was hanging out with Charlie Swan right now. Jacob locked his door behind them, closing his curtains over before turning to his girlfriend with a smirk that left her biting her lip. Jacob stalked towards the blonde like a predator lurking towards its prey, he backed her against the door and leaned his head down to her ear, "Do I have your consent, love?"
