Returning to the Swan residence, Honey went to sit up when Jacob stopped her and Bella having picked up on a new scent present. "Someone's here," Jacob told the two teens making Honey furrow her brows and look around, she noticed Bella's awestruck gaze landing on a car that was beyond familiar to her. "That's Carlisle's car," Bella told them, she moved to open the door but Jacob stopped her. "Bella, it's a trick! Stop!" Jacob warned as he watched the human girl. "They won't hurt me," Bella reassured him as she grabbed Honey's hand, "And they won't harm Honey." Jacob's anger stirred at the idea of the Cullens being near his Imprint, he was annoyed that Bella wouldn't listen to him.

"If a Cullen is back here, this is their territory. The treaty says we can only defend our own lands. I can't protect both of you here," Jacob expressed to Bella, Honey had placed her free hand on his once she felt his anger rise. "Okay, it's okay. You don't have to," Bella replied as she opened the door. "You're about to cross a line," Jacob forewarned Bella but it was clear that the woman didn't care about that. "Then don't draw one," Bella remarked before getting out of the truck leaving Honey to decide on her own. "Honey..." Jacob breathed out, the blonde sent him a soft smile before quickly kissing him. "We'll be okay," Honey assured him before she followed behind Bella who had hesitated hoping that Honey would join her; which she did.

Bella opened the door and lead them inside where a woman with pixie hair stood in the middle of the living room. "Alice!" Bella cheered before wrapping her arms around the woman. Honey raised a brow at the sight, keeping a small distance as she was used to staying away from Vampires. "You're dead! Bella? What are you. . .?" Alice exclaimed as she pulled away to look at Bella. "I'm sorry, I just. . . I can't believe you're here. Is. . . Is. . .?" Bella is cut off by Alice, "Would you like to explain to me how you're alive?!" Bella furrowed her brows at Alice's question before she asked, "What?" Honey noticed the panic in Alice's eyes, the pixie woman clearly had been dealing with the grief of loss.

"I saw a vision of you, you jumped off a cliff. Why in the hell would you try and kill yourself!?" Alice snapped out, "I mean, what about Charlie? What about. . .?" Bella cut the vampire off, "I was cliff jumping. Recreationally!" Honey scoffed alerting Alice of her presence, the blonde sent Bella a look and the brunette lowered her gaze in guilt and shame. "Who are you?" Alice asked the blonde, her walls up having never seen the new face in any visions. "I'm Honey Parker. Childhood best friend of Bella," Honey introduced with a polite smile on her face. "Oh, I've heard about you," Alice replied, her guard falling despite her awareness that Honey wasn't completely human.

"I have never met anyone more prone to life-threatening idiocy," Alice said to Bella in disbelief as they moved to sit down on the couch, Honey taking the armchair. "She fell in love with a vampire, I think that's pretty obvious," Honey stated ignoring the subtle glare from Bella. "This coming from the half-breed," Bella remarked causing Alice to look between them confused. "That's not possible," Alice told them. "Actually, Alice, it is. I'm living proof. Dad was a vampire, mom was human," Honey explained with a shrug of her shoulders but Alice didn't seem to trust the blonde's words. "Did you. . . Did you tell him?" Bella bought the conversation back to her, worried about Edward. "No. He only calls once in a few months. He said he wants to be alone," Alice informed her.

"Aw, what is that God awful wet dog smell?" Alice asked with her nose scrunched up, Honey frowned having been used to the scruffy scents that the pack had. "That's probably us," Bella replied motioning to Honey and herself. "Or. . . It's Jacob," Honey stated with a lopsided smile at the mention of her mate. "Jacob who?" Alice questioned the blonde. "Jacob's... kind of a... werewolf," Bella answered for Honey. "Ugh! Bella! Werewolf's are not good company to keep!" Alice snapped out making Honey frown but someone else spoke before she could, "Speak for yourself." The three women turned their heads to see Jacob standing in the doorway between the entrance foyer and the living room. "I had to see if you were safe," Jacob stated though his eyes were locked on Honey directly.

"I thought you couldn't protect us here," Bella reminded Jacob knowing the wolf couldn't help himself due to his Imprint being near Alice. "Guess, I don't care," Jacob replied to her, a slight glare landing on Alice. "Well, I'm not gonna hurt either of them," Alice remarked to Jacob almost as though she were offended by his accusation. "No, you're just a harmless Cullen. We're talking about the other bloodsucker. . . Who tried to kill Bella and my Honey because of you," Jacob snarked at the pixie-haired vampire. "Victoria?" Alice asked though she was intrigued to hear how Jacob spoke about Honey due to knowing how he felt about Bella previously. "Yeah, Victoria has been around," Bella informed her.

"I didn't see her. I didn't see you getting pulled out of the water either," Alice told Bella before sneering at Jacob, "I can't see past you and your pack of mutts!" Honey stood up at Alice's words, her glare was harsh compared to the kind smile she held previously. "Watch your tone, Cullen. That pack is the closest I got to a family, I'd suggest you be careful with your words," Honey warned, the slight hiss in her tone struck Alice with the realisation that the blonde was a Vampire; her presence commanded it. Jacob stepped forward, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his side allowing his presence to calm her down within seconds.

"I will give you a moment," Alice told Bella as she turned to leave the room. "You're not going anywhere, you're gonna come back, right?" Bella asked her, her tone leaving no room for arguing. "As soon as you put the dog out," Alice mocked before leaving the house, Honey rolled her eyes at the statement while Jacob lead the blonde into the kitchen; Bella following behind them. Honey sat on the counter with Bella leaning against the sink, Jacob pacing the floor in front of them feeling unsettled by the Vampire's presence. "Is he...? Are there others? How many Cullens are here and how long are they staying?" Jacob asked Bella, he knew the presence of the Cullen's would only cause conflict and put Honey in danger; he didn't want that.

"No. It's just Alice. And she can stay as long as she likes," Bella expressed with a slight glare due to Jacob's aggression towards Alice. "Are the rest coming back?" Jacob asked her as he moved to stand closer to Honey, her presence was keeping him as calm as he could be. "No. Not that I know of. Anything else?" Bella snarked, she was clearly annoyed by Jacob's questions. "That's it," Jacob answered as he turned to Honey, standing between her legs and resting his head in the crook of her neck to calm himself. Bella looked away at the affection, she was envious of the people but rather the affection itself. "It's okay, Jake. We're okay. I'm okay," Honey whispered to the wolf as he let the anger go until the phone ringing alerted them. Jacob pulled away from Honey and grabbed the phone, "Swan Residence."

He listened to the other person for a moment before saying, "He's not here right now. He's arranging a funeral." After a moment, he hung up the phone seething while Bella looked at him in confusion while Honey tilted her head. "Who was that?" Honey asked softly. "Always causing trouble," Jacob muttered. "Who was it?" Bella asked stepping forward but Honey noticed Jacob's breathing. "Bella, step back," Honey warned before jumping down from the counter, delicately placing her hand on his chest while the other rested on his jaw forcing him to look at her. "Breath, love, breath," Honey cooed softly, her eyes was all he could see. Alice rushed in, panicked, "Bella, it's Edward. He thinks you're dead. Rosalie told him why I came here."

Bella glared at Jacob, "Why would you. . .? Why didn't you let me speak to him?" Honey kept close to Jacob knowing that his temper could get the best of him, he cared about Bella like a sister and having watched her suffer from Edward's actions had angered the wolf. "He didn't ask for you," Jacob seethed out. "I don't care!" Bella shouted, her loud tone made Honey flinch, a sight that only unsettled Jacob further. "Bella, he's going to the Volturi. He wants to die too," Alice expressed fearfully, she couldn't lose her brother. "He left you, Bella. He didn't want you anymore, remember?" Jacob reminded her, he couldn't understand why Bella would want the person that left her hollow for months ─ six months of depression. "But I'm not gonna let him kill himself out of guilt!" Bella told him.

"What about your dad?" Honey asked, she knew Charlie wouldn't be happy with Bella taking off during the night again. "I'm eighteen, I'm legally free to go. And I'll leave a note," Bella replied before she walked off to get what she needed to go, rushing for her passport and necessities while Alice's got the engine running. "Bella!" Honey called out as the blonde rushed out to stop her, "I understand why you're doing this but trust me, the Volturi are not to be messed with. If they see you, they'll have demands!" Bella looked at the blonde with sad eyes, "He'll die, Honey. What if that was Jacob?" Bella asked causing the blonde to look over at her mate, the wolf standing on the steps of the Swan Residence. Bella's words hit her hard, she would do exactly what Bella was doing and to deny that would be stupid.

"Honey, no," Jacob told her, he saw the look in her eyes. "I'll be back soon, Jake," Honey promised before she and Bella climbed into Alice's car. Jacob approached Honey's window, she looked up at him with soft eyes, her heart clenching at the pleading gaze he sent her. "Stay, Honey. This isn't your problem," Jacob reminded her, his heart hurting at the idea of her leaving. "Bella is practically my sister, Jake. And I'd only hope that she'd do this for me if it was the other way around," Honey replied to him before she leaned up to kiss him, he deepened the kiss for a moment before she pulled away. "I'll see you soon," Honey promised him, he stumbled away from the door and immediately shifted as the car drove away; his howl echoed behind them.

Arriving in Volterra, Italy made Honey feel uneasy, she knew that confronting the Volturi would be a lot and she could only hope they viewed her as a human. "I'm guessing you didn't rent this car?" Bella asked Alice as she sped down the roads. "I figured you wouldn't be opposed to grand theft auto," Alice replied to the frantic human. "Not today," Bella remarked however, she noticed Alice's dazed expression. "What? What are you seeing?" Bella asked, panicked. "They refused him," Alice answered making Honey swear under her breath. "So?" Bella questioned. "He'll make a scene, right? Force the Volturi's hand," Honey stated receiving a nod from Alice causing Bella's anxiety to heighten.

"When?" Bella asked. "He's gonna wait until noon, when the sun's at it's highest," Alice answered before Honey leaned back in her seat, Alice speeding up per Bella's demands. However, they soon found themselves stuck in the crowds of people celebrating San Marcos Day ─ the expulsion of Vampires ─ and Honey couldn't stop the eye roll at the pure irony. Alice sent Bella alone to stop Edward knowing that he wouldn't listen to her nor trust Honey herself. The two were silent, the distrust obvious between Alice and Honey due to the identity of the blonde and her relationship with Jacob. But it wasn't long until they broke their way into the Volturi Castle interrupting Felix and Demetri taunting Edward and Bella.

"Come on, guys. It's a festival," Alice spoke as she removed her scarf and glasses, Honey standing tall next to her in her baby blue sweater and jeans. "We wouldn't want to make a scene," Honey added, she noticed Edward looking at her questioningly and she allowed her thoughts to show what he needed to know immediately; his eyes dropping in shame for the pain he caused Bella. "We wouldn't," Demetri commented while Felix seemed to have his focus locked purely on the blonde, a sly smirk of interest on his face. "Enough!" The sharp female voice caught everyone's attention. "Jane," Edward greeted the witch twin. "Aro sent me to see what's taking so long," Jane expressed before turning to lead them to the throne room, no room for arguing.

"Just do as she says," Edward told Bella and Honey, both listened to his warning. Honey walked with Alice ignoring Edward and Bella's conversation as they reached the throne room, the blonde doing what she could to keep hidden. "Sister, sent you out to get one and you bring back two. And two halves. Such a clever girl," Alec taunted with a dark smirk on his face. "What a happy surprise!" Aro exclaimed as he stood from his throne, "Bella is alive after all. Isn't that wonderful? I love a happy ending. They are so rare." Aro stepped up in front of the group, his blood red eyes focused over the group of four; lingering on Bella before focusing on Edward. He took Edward's hand in his own, "La Tua Cantante. Your Singer. Her blood appeals to you so much. . . it makes me thirsty. How can you stand so close to her?"

"It's not without difficulty," Edward answered, his tone strained. "Yes, I can see that," Aro taunted. "Aro can read every thought I ever had. With one touch. And now you know everything. So, get on with it," Edward informed Bella and Honey, the blonde felt uneasy with that information. "You're quite the soul reader yourself, Edward. Though. . . you can't read Bella's thoughts. Fascinating! I would love to see if. . . you are an exception to my gifts, as well. Would you do me the honours?" Aro asked as he held out his hand to Bella, the woman was hesitant but accepted his hand with her own. "Interesting. I see nothing," Aro spoke before letting go of her hand, "I wonder if. . . Let's see if she is immune to all our powers. Shall we, Jane?" The female witch twin smirked and moved her gaze to Bella.

"No!" Edward shouted before moving to block Bella as Jane spoke, "Pain." Edward fell to his knees from the pain of Jane's power, Honey frowned as Bella screamed for her to stop. "Jane?" Aro called stopping her focus. "Master?" Jane replied, the term made Honey uncomfortable but she knew how manipulated and controlled the members of the guard was. "Go ahead, my dear," Aro motioned towards Bella. "This may hurt just a little," Jane taunted Bella who stood prepared however, Jane's ability did nothing to Bella causing Aro to laugh startling Jane's focus again. "Remarkable! She confounds us all. So, what do we do with you now?" Aro pondered in curiosity. Honey knew by the look of the other two kings, whatever would come next wasn't going to be good.

Rosemary Speaks. . .

Okay so, a lot of people didn't want Honey to go with Bella to Volterra but honestly, if she didn't go, she wouldn't stay true to her character. Honey would do everything to protect her best friend, as would I.

Jacob will be upset but he'll understand fully by the time she returns.

What did y'all think of this chapter?

Apologies for taking so long to update. For those who do not check my announcements on my profile, I have been fairly burnt out recently with no motivation to write.

On top of that, I've been grieving the loss of my Aunt who was a second mother to me. Her passing was sudden and we have no answers besides the fact she went in her sleep. She was one of my biggest supporters when it came to writing so it hit pretty hard. It hasn't even been three weeks since her funeral, so please be patient and respectful.
