Maeve's Pov:

"What?! What's going on? What happened?" I heard Davien bombarding Derek with questions as everyone around me got concerned.

"Tiana was attacked by an unknown person. We don't know whether it was a human or werewolf. Anyways she's at the hospital at the moment and we need you back!" Davien explained to us quickly as I gasped but nodded.

"Okay, we'll be back. Take care of my sister," he said into the phone, hanging up. Sabrina and Aiden left the room to theirs so they could pack and leave with us.

A few minutes later, Karsika had got to know about the issue and she decided to visit us.

"You don't have to worry until or unless you have the potion with you. I can come and stay with you if you want though," suggested the witch as I looked at Davien who gave me a nod.

"That'd be great," she smiled and left the room while I placed everything back. I just wanted his sister to be okay.

Looking over at Davien, I could see he was tensed, more tensed than me.

"It's going to be okay Davien," I placed my hand on his shoulder and then rubbed his back gently. My heart shattered a little when he brushed my hand off and continued packing, not even glancing at me.

I didn't say much but just placed everything in my purse and opened the door, leaving the room. If he was going to be give me attitude, then so be it and he thinks I won't give him the same attitude? Boy he's wrong.

"Hey, where'd Davien go?" Sabrina asked as we stood near the hallway so we could go back from where we came from.

"He's in the room. He's coming," I told her with a fake smile and she smiled back, glad she didn't notice my discomfort.

Later on, Karsika had told us that we could leave and she'll visit us back at the pack. I thanked her and we left.

Our car was given back to us and I had to sit in the passenger seat. I didn't want to show Aiden and Sabrina that we were fighting, I mean we weren't fighting, not necessarily, but what Davien did was extremely rude. I mean it's understandable he's thinking about his sister, but that shouldn't mean pushing me away.

The witches bid us goodbye and I went first inside the car to sit down.

Sighing I closed the car door and put on my seat belt waiting for everyone else to come in. As usual, our couple friend had their own conversation while I kept quiet and just looked outside at the scenery.

I didn't say or moved for a while when I felt someone's gaze on me. I looked back at Davien who was looking at me with a unreadable expression which I just ignored and looked back outside.

If he was going to be like this, then he definitely doesn't know me.

The entire journey was usually just him asking me if I needed to eat something or go to the bathroom but nothing more. It was fine but I was hoping we would talk once we visited Tiana. I was looking forward to Tiana being okay and so we could talk alone.

I had slept through out the ride and time passed by fast. I was glad it did because I didn't feel like having a conversation in the car with anyone.

As we reached the pack, the doors were opened by the guards and I hopped out of the car. Davien didn't spare a glance at me and I looked back at Sabrina who gave me a questioning look. I just gave her a smile and went after him.

Me and Davien both reached the infirmary as I saw Cynthia, Zaiden and Derek standing near the hospital room where I suppose Tiana was.

Derek looked miserable. He had eyebags and it seemed like he hadn't got any rest in a while.

"Oh Derek," I went towards him and gave him a sister hug as he hugged me back. Looks like he needed all the comfort he could get. But something which was unexpected happened.

Davien growled as everyone stared at him. I pulled away from Derek and looked at him. He really is pissing me off today.

I sighed, taking Derek's arm gently and moving him away from the surprised group.

"What happened? And how did this happen?" I asked him as he let out a deep breath.

"We were at the training center and Tiana left from there to go change into gym clothes. But after that, all I heard were her screams and when me and other's reached there, the damage was done. I did all the checking around and I couldn't find anything. She was unconscious when she was taken here and doctor's said that this is very different than what they have seen. I have no idea what happened but I just want her to be okay," he explained in a low grave voice as I nodded and placed my hand on his shoulder to reassure him that his friend's were there for him.

As his mate, he was the most vulnerable at the moment because his wolf doesn't know what to do.

"I am so sorry. Whatever is going on, we'll find it and no one else will be harmed. I promise you," I told him making him smile and nod at me.

"Thank you Maeve. Also what happened with Karsika?" he asked me as I gave a glance towards Davien who was staring at me but as I looked at him, he looked away.

I explained everything to Derek who was surprised but not as surprised as he thought he would be. His response was the same as us, basically a little confused and bewildered.

A few minutes later, a doctor had come and talked to Derek and Davien. He had told us that Tiana was no longer in danger and just needed time to heal properly.

"I still can't understand what the fuck happened to her? Why can't we find evidence?" Davien asked loudly as we all looked at him.

"No idea. The guard's again said they didn't find anything or see anyone unusual," Cynthia spoke and we all were just devastated. If they were after me then they should be after me, not other's.

Derek suggested everyone to leave so he would stay with his mate and we did just that. Cynthia and Zaiden left together, meanwhile me and Davien went towards our home.

We didn't speak yet again and the silence was killing me. Usually we would be comfortable not talking but this time, not at all.

My mind drifted towards todays and a weeks events. The nightmare's I had and the visions that showed up, were they all true? Was someone coming for me?

Reaching the house, I saw Davien go towards the kitchen meanwhile I took off my shoes and coat.

"May I ask why you're giving me the cold shoulder?" I asked him as he just sighed, drinking his water.

"I'm not," he replied making me chuckle bitterly.

"Oh yeah? First when I tried comforting you, you shrugged me off. Second, you didn't talk to me this entire day. Third, you fucking growled when I hugged Derek. You're behavior is really absurd. What is going on?" When I said all this, my tone wasn't nice. If he was being an asshole then my behavior wouldn't be nice too.

"I just didn't feel like talking. I'm going through a lot and when I got the news of Tiana being hurt, I didn't talk to you properly because I didn't want to burden you with my problems," he said as I just sighed letting out a deep breath. This man is so fucking stubborn.

"No Davien. We talked about this. Your problems are my problems-" I stopped talking when I saw him not listening to me.

"Can you please just listen to me?!" I yelled this time. I had enough, enough of him being a fucking jackass.

"What do you want?! Can you just shut the fuck up for god's sake?!" He yelled this time and whipped around so quickly, making me flinch slightly.

"I just need time alone! Why can't you understand that?!" He yelled again, his arms going up making me step back. My eyes were wide open and his flaring anger didn't help, it looked like his veins would pop any second.

Without thinking twice, I ran upstairs with tears running down my cheeks. I couldn't look at him, he scared me and I didn't like that. He's supposed to comfort me but I guess not right now. Before running, I could see his eyes turning soft and filling with guilt but that didn't matter in the moment.

That didn't feel like him. It couldn't be him. He would never yell at me. He could never think about hurting me, ever.

I closed the bedroom door and slid down the side of the bed not knowing what to do. Maybe, if his anger cools down, then I can talk to him, and maybe be mad at him for a while.

My eyes had closed and once again, I saw myself not where I was supposed to be. Maybe somewhere not where I belonged.

This time, I was in a dark hallway. I couldn't see the end but there was a faint light on the opposite side. I began walking on my own. My legs just moved forward.

The hallway lead to a room and when I opened it, my eyes widened and a scream erupted from my mouth, horrible.

Hector and Blake's body hung from the ceiling.
