Ariana Grande - Positions

Elizabeth's POV
I drive the car onto the boat and yell at Shawn when he tells me I almost hit the cars next to me. I'm still pissed off at him. Two days ago he disappeared for a whole afternoon and left me at the hotel all by myself without telling me where he went, or that he was leaving in the first place.
'I'm still mad at you.' I say when I close the door of his car, squeezing myself between cars to the exit.
'I know. I had an emergency meeting with my dad.' Shawn says when he holds the door open for me.
'And you couldn't have just told me that, maybe... two days ago?!' I look at him.
'I'm sorry, baby.' He says with regret in his eyes.
'Don't call me baby.' I walk to the stairs that lead to the deck.
'Ok, but why are you angry at me right now?!' He raises his voice.
'Because you treated me like I had lost my mind!' I turn to look at him. 'It was not a whole afternoon, just went out to eat something, that's it. Stop searching for things that aren't there.' I imitate his voice, saying the exact sentence he said to me two days ago.
'You lied to me. Why?' I stare at him, crossing my arms in front of my chest.
'I didn't lie! I just withheld information!' He opens his arms out of frustration.
'That is the same thing!' I roll my eyes.
'Fine!' He says before walking away from me, heading inside the boat again.
Is he serious right now?! I should be walking away from him!
I follow him inside.
'Mendes!' I shout, causing people to look at me.
He ignores me and I follow him, seeing him walk to the men's room.
If he thinks the picture of a male stick figure will keep me away from him, he's terribly mistaken.
I push the door open behind him and hope not to see any cocks when I walk inside. It's empty except Shawn leaning on the sink, looking at himself in the mirror.
I look at him looking at himself and wonder what's going on in his mind right now. I forget that I'm angry at him when he turns to look at me.
'You're not supposed to be in here.' He says with a soft voice.
My anger starts to rise again.
'I don't give a fuck.' I hear the door close behind me and see Shawn walking to me.
He locks the door behind me, standing in front of me. His body almost touches mine and the way he looks at me drives me crazy somehow. He has an angry glare in his eyes. So have I.
'I thought I wasn't supposed to be in here.' I say when I look at the lock on the door.
'And I thought you didn't give a fuck.' He steps closer, pushing my back against the door.
The scent of pine needles invades my nose with Shawn's body so close to mine. Shawn hovers over me and his index finger trails over my jawline. I see Shawn looking at my lips when he touches them with his thumb.
Seconds later he crashes his lips onto mine, his hands on my hips, pushing me against the door even harder. One of his hands trail over my chest and he stops at my throat. He squeezes a little, but not hard. He keeps kissing me and bites my lip softly when I feel his other hand sneak under my dress, pulling my panties aside while he keeps looking into my eyes with an angry look.
'I'm still mad at you.' I moan when his finger slides inside me.
'Shut up and open your legs when I lift you.' He says, kissing me again.
His tongue slides into my mouth and battles with mine. I do as he says when he lifts me off the ground and I wrap my legs around his waist.
He opens the button of his jeans and I moan when I feel him slide inside me. His hands are holding me up against the door. One of his hands covers my mouth when he starts thrusting inside of me harder and faster.
My moans sound muffled in his hand. I hear him panting but he doesn't moan this time, not even once. He feels different now we're mad at each other, and to be honest, I like it. He's rougher, harder and the dark look in his eyes is even sexier now than normally.
When I come Shawn keeps thrusting inside until he also comes. There's a smirk on his face when he looks between my legs. He puts me back on the ground and I walk around him to one of the toilets, putting my underwear and dress back to where they belong.
'Still angry?' He says, closing the zipper and the button of his jeans.
'Yes.' I walk out and look at my hair in the mirror.
Someone knocks on the door when Shawn opened his mouth to say something. He opens the door and the man that walks inside looks at me with a polite smile. I smile back and walk past him and Shawn out of the door. This time Shawn is the one following me to the deck again.
'What can I do to make it up to you?' He asks, keeping his distance.
I look at the sea and feel the wind blow through my hair. I think for a moment. He just fucked me in the bathroom and it was amazing, but I can't ask for that again.
I honestly just don't want him to lie to me again.
'I want you to promise me that you will never lie to me again.' I turn around and take a few steps toward him.
'Like your cat?' He chuckles.
My eyes widen. I forgot to tell him that was a lie, but then again, he isn't stupid. He came over a lot of times and knew there wasn't a cat. I guess I should've just bought a cat when I told him I had one.
No. It doesn't work that way.
'And I won't lie to you ever again.' I add.
'Ok.' He says with a soft smile on his lips. 'But how do I know you won't lie to me again?' He says, wrapping his arms around my waist.
'Do you want me to draw up a contract? I'll make an amazing contract, not as well as Sheldon Cooper, but close enough.' I smile now too.
'No. I believe you.' He brushes his lips against mine. 'And I should get angry at you more often if that will make the thing in the bathroom happen again.' He chuckles.
'You didn't have the right to be mad at me, but to be honest, I really enjoyed it.' I roll my eyes with a stupid grin on my face.
'Good.' He wraps his arm around my shoulder and we watch the beautiful view together.
When I see the shore of Morocco I walk closer to the safety rails on the deck, looking at the magnificent mountains. Shawn pulls at my arm while staying away from the safety rails.
'Come here.' I pull at his arm, but he pulls back. 'Look at those mountains!' I point at them, ignoring the fact that he's being weird.
'I can see them perfectly from where I'm standing.' He says.
I look at him and see him swallowing when I lean on the safety rails with my elbows. Is he afraid of heights? I look down at the water, it's not that high.
'Are you frightened?' I ask him.
'Yes.' He responds.
'Why?'
'If you come to me I will tell you.' He says, reaching for my arm.
I decide not to be a dick and just walk to him.
He wraps his arms around me again, pulling me into a hug. I feel his heart beating fast in his chest. Shawn must be really afraid, now I feel guilty for pulling him to me.
'I have thalassophobia.' He says.
I raise my eyebrow. I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.
'What's that?' I ask.
'I'm afraid of depths in the oceans and seas.' He says.
'Maybe you should've told me that before we got onto a boat?' I smile at him.
'I was hoping I could ignore it.' He says.
I hug him and listen to his heartbeat slowing down. Luckily we will be arriving in Morocco in thirty minutes.
'We can go inside and sit in the cafeteria?' I ask him.
'No! You're even closer to the water there.' He says, not letting me go.
I know you are not allowed to sit in your car while they cross the sea because of safety reasons. I try to come up with a different solution but my mind is blank.
We walk to the car five minutes before we arrive in Tanger and I swear Shawn looks like he just died. He keeps telling me that he's fine but I see the fear in his eyes.
I consider to piss him off again so that he forgets that he's afraid, but I don't really know what of those two things hurts him more.
'You're not driving!' I say when I see Shawn walking to the driver seat.
'Ok.' He says, walking to the other side of the car.
It takes an hour before all the cars leave the boat. When we drive out of the ferry and I see a line of cars waiting for their passport to get checked.
The sun is still shining and I see it reflecting on the hood of Shawn's black car, almost blinding me. When a friendly guy walks up to my window I open it with a big smile, handing him our passports.
I thank him in Arabic when he tells me everything checks out and puts a stamp in our passports.
'Do you speak Arabic?' He asks in Arabic.
'Yes.' I respond with a big smile.
He starts asking me questions about my name, where I'm from, who taught me Arabic and finally he looks at Shawn.
'He does not look well.' He says in English.
'No. He's afraid of water.'
'Sea. Not water.' Shawn says.
The man tells me his name and tells Shawn that he hopes he gets well soon. Shawn smiles at him and for a moment I think he's going to throw up. It's interesting what fear can do with a person's body.
We spend another hour standing at customs before they let us through. They didn't check the whole car, they just let a very cute, big, black dog sniff around the car and I was allowed to hug it because I started to fall in love with it.
Shawn shot daggers at me when I kept talking to the very cute officer.
'I only liked his dog...' I say when I step on the gas pedal again.
We stop at a gas station when we drive on the highway. I buy Shawn a sandwich and an ice cream before heading back to the car.
'Where are we staying tonight?' I ask him.
'We're staying at a riad in Fez.' He says, taking a bite of the sandwich I bought him.
The colour in his face finally returns.
'Piss off!' I say with a big smile when I look at him for a second.
'I'm not kidding.' He smiles at me with his cheeks full of food.
I'm glad he's feeling better. He turns on some music and sings along with the new song of Ariana Grande that we have been listening to all day.
The sound of his lower voice singing together with Ariana's high voice sounds amazing.
My phone starts to ring and I see it's a colleague who's calling me on my vacation, again.
'Mendes, please turn the music down a little and put him on speaker.' I say, handing Shawn my phone.
'Elizabeth McCullen speaking.' I say when Shawn picks up.
'I am terribly sorry to be calling you again, but I have to tell you some news on the case of Shawn Mendes?' He says it like a question. 'You were his attorney, right?'
'Yes, I was.' Shawn looks at me with a nervous expression.
'They closed the case and it won't be reopened again. Mr. Mendes will never be asked to come back as a witness or suspect on a trial again. I was asked if you could tell him this.' He explains.
A big smile forms on Shawn's lips and I smile at him too.
'I will. Have they found the murderer?' I ask.
Normally I don't really care who killed the victim, but now I do because it had something to do with Shawn.
'It was an accident. All the ping pong balls were laced with MDMA. It is this new thing graduates do at parties to make it more fun. Sadly, this time it killed someone.' He says.
'Oh.' I don't really know what to say. 'I hope it doesn't happen again.' I say eventually.
'Yeah me too...' He sighs. 'Anyway, again, sorry for calling you today, but Bakker told me you probably wanted to know now so I decided to call anyway.'
'Thank you for calling. I hope you have a good day.' I say before he hangs up the phone.
Shawn throws his arms in the air with a big smile, hugging me out of nowhere almost causing an accident. I smile at him and he kisses me on my cheek.
'Woman. I'm making love to you tonight.' He says before cheering.
I laugh and enjoy the way he said it: "I'm making love to you tonight."
I'm glad this trial is now closed once and for all. I know he was proven innocent, but this kind of lawsuit can come back and bite you in the ass.
'Have you seen my phone?' He asks.
'No, I have not.' I say, keeping my eyes on the road.
'I think I must have lost it on the ferry.' He says, searching through his pockets. 'I'll buy a new one tomorrow.'
'You can't just buy a new one. What if someone finds the old one?' I ask.
'Then I have two phones.' He smiles.
I chuckle and continue driving.
