LONG AGO witches were hunted and burned for their sinful power, such destructive behaviour would be the fall of humanity as they claimed. No one knew how The Power came to be nor has any sought out answers to learn. Not even the Book of Damnation knew as it had been written after the fact, though it was filled with spells and history about everything relating to The Power.

THE POWER refers to a warlock's aptitude for magic. The Power remains dormant within the male user until his 13th birthday where he will then get a "taste" of The Power as a kind of test. This matures when Ascension occurs on a warlock's 18th birthday, at the exact moment of their birth. It is a painful and frightening process for the warlock, as his body is overwhelmed with new power. A warlock's ascended power is described as being a thousand times stronger than their pre-ascension abilities, and therefore extremely seductive.

ONE OF the other negatives to ascending is that when the user achieves this, The Power becomes their very life. Thus, when one uses it too much, they age prematurely each time until they burn out their body through over-usage. And if one was to will their power away to another, they will die instantly. Due to the addictive nature of The Power, it is often these Warlock's are faced with the consequences of fast ageing.

IN THE TOWN of Ipswich there are four families known as The Sons of Ipswich. They are the descendants of the five families that founded the Ipswich Colonies and are also warlocks. The five families were: The Danvers family, The Parry family, The Garwin family, The Simms family, and the Putnam family. The fifth family, which happens to be the Putnam family, however, was banned from the land of Salem, Massachusetts, because they wanted more power. With banishment, they were believed to have died out.

WHILE IT was known to these four families that only the eldest son of each family were chosen for the power, an anomaly broke the legacy and opened the door to something new; something evolved. With 300 years of traditional Warlocks, everything changed in the year 1988 when one of the families was blessed ─ or cursed ─ with the birth of twins; one boy and one girl.

THE DANVERS family welcomed their son Caleb into the world at 11:12pm on the eighteenth of August, 1988. However, exactly an hour later at 12:12am on the nineteenth of August, 1988, they welcomed their daughter into the world. Stunned with the news of a second child they had not known about, Evelyn Danvers named her Andromeda Danvers; her own miracle star. Uncertain of whether she too was chosen for The Power, William Danvers taught her the same lessons as his son.

ANDROMEDA DANVERS was a beautiful blue eyed girl with fair skin that greatly contrasted against her brother's tan complexion and brown eyes. And though they were technically twins, the differing birthdays allowed them a chance to feel more independent. However, Andromeda's thirteenth birthday wasn't as pleasant as her brothers. The Power burned through her body, her screams pierced the air and the small town of Ispwich experienced a major earthquake that split the woods.

CALEB DANVERS was happy that he and his little sister had The Power as they could help each other fight the seductive whispers preventing the fate of those who overused it. And thankfully, Caleb and Andromeda weren't alone due to the other three families who founded Ipswich. The four families having grown up together, the children of the twins generation were inseparable despite their personal differences.

POGUE PARRY of the Parry Clan is a kind boy with a heart of gold and a love of thrill that included his motorbike. He and Caleb were the best of friends, the closest out of the bunch. He was usually the most level-headed, however, his high emotions tended to make him impulsive when protecting those he cared for. He was the ride or die type of friend that Caleb always could rely on. And he was a brother to Andromeda, who happened to share the same birthday though his exact birth time was 6:15pm on the nineteenth of August.

REID GARWIN of the Garwin Clan is quite the typical bad boy who always has a charming smirk on his face. And though the flirt was commonly seen surrounded by giggling girls, his eyes were focused on one girl in particular. Reid was born on the twentieth of August in 1988 at 2:30pm. He had always been the one in the group to use his powers the most, not due to the seductive nature of it but simply due to the joy he got out of it. If lost, you could always find Reid at Nicky's bar hustling pool.

TYLER SIMMS of the Simms Clan was the baby of the bunch, born on the twenty-first of August, 1988 at 9:27pm. Tyler is the quiet one of the bunch, though the most logical and morally based. He wasn't as affected by the seductive whispers of The Power like the rest but he loved to mess around like that of his best friend, Reid Garwin. The two were close as the youngest in the group and besides, someone has to try and keep Reid in check.

THE HEIRS OF IPSWICH formed a Covenant with rules about The Power, the hopes of hiding their magical abilities to prevent being hunted. The five children blessed to be born in the same month, one day after another, were a sign of strength against that of The Power's seduction. Though there is much to learn for these five children, challenges to face and most of all, lessons to learn. There were some things that not even the Book of Damnation knew but would learn.
