Today it has been 3 weeks since our first date. And now I am in Ahmedabad. But I go to Singapore every weekend to spend some time with Sohana. My mother has come to know about us but I have forbidden her to tell anyone else about us. I want to ask Sohana for her hand in marriage before telling anyone else.

Today I am going to Singapore again because today is my birthday and I want to surprise Sohana. I know that today is my birthday and Sohana should surprise me but there is no problem, I can surprise her. And then I will take a very nice surprise from her.

I called Sohana and she picked up the call in one ring.

"Hello handsome!!" She chirped in happiness.

"Hey daisy! What are you doing?" I asked her and she yawned.

"Sleeping." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"Seriously Sohana? It's 11 in the morning and you're still sleeping." I said and she hummed from the other side.

"Anyways tell me do you remember anything?" I asked her indirectly about my birthday.

"What? What will I remember?" She asked me and I sighed.

"Oh god! What's the date today?" I asked her and she went silent for some time. Probably remembering today's date.

"7 June!" She said and I nodded.

"Yes!! Now tell me what is today?" I asked her and she again went silent.

"Umm, Independence day? Oh sorry it's on 15 August! Hehe!" She laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"Sohana you really don't remember what is today?" I asked her with a broken heart.

"Umm, Women's day? Ohh I see! That's why you called me right! Oh Thank you so much baby!" She said and my eyes widened not believing her words.

Did she really forget my birthday?

"You won't call me anymore bye!" I said and was about to hung up the call. But her voice stopped me.

"Heyyy!! I am sorry! Hey Ruhaan my handsome, my baby I am sorry!" She said and a pout formed in my face.

"I hate you!" I said in a childish tone.

"Ya ya you'll do that later! Open the door." She said and my brows furrowed.

"Door? Which door? What door? Why door?" I asked her and she scoffed from the other side.

"Oh c'mon open your room's door!" She said and I looked at the door.

My room's door? But why?

"Why do you want me to open my room door?" I asked her walking towards the door.

"There's a surprise for you." She replied and a smile formed in my face.

"Surprise? What surprise?" I enquired.

"Umm, guess!" She replied.

"Guitar?"

"I have already given it!"

"New car?"

"There is no space to keep it in front of your room."

"New dress."

"You buy 10 clothes every week."

"Then what's the surprise---

"MEEE!!!" Sohana shouted showing her teeth as soon as I opened the door.

A wide smile formed in my face looking at her. Has she really come to my house or am I dreaming? I pinched my cheek and to check if it is a dream or not. Water filled in my eyes and I looked at her. It was real. She is infront of me, in my house, in my room.

Oh god!

I hugged her tightly without wasting any moment.

"Ruhaannn!!! Someone will see us. Let us be in your room then do whatever you want to do." She said and a smirk formed in my face.

"I can do whatever I want." I said breaking the hug and looked at her with a teasing smile.

"You---

I pulled her inside my room and closed the door behind.

I again pulled her into my embrace and gave her wet kisses on her left cheek. She also kissed my neck and tilted her neck to look at me.

"Happy birthday baby!" She wished me caressing my cheeks.

She moved closer, stepping on my feet. I pulled her more closer until our face were inches apart.

Our lips parted and we kissed each other deeply. The kiss was soft and passionate. We broke the kiss when we both went breathless.

She stared at me with a smile and stood up in her toes to kiss my forehead.

"I missed you." She said after placing a kiss on my forehead.

"I missed you too." I said caressing her waist.

We both hugged each other again tightly.

There was a knock on the door and we hurriedly back off from the hug. I signalled Sohana to fix her makeup which was ruined because of our kiss and told her to sit on the couch like nothing happened between us.

I went near the door and opened it to see who ruined our so special moment. The momo I opened the door, I gulped hard. My mom was standing infront of me with a plate of snacks and two cups of coffee.

"Why did you take so much time to open the door, beta?" She asked me and I let out a nervous laugh.

"Oh Ma, it's because I was busy with Sohana." I said not realising my words.

"I mean, I was talk----

"Haan haan pata chal gaya mujhe, chal ab rasta bhi chor, andar nahi jaane dega kya mujhe?" She said and I let her go inside.
(Yes yes I understood, now leave the way. Will you not let me go inside?)

"Oh my god!!! My beautiful child. I was missing you so much. Come come hug me!" I looked at my mom who was being a mom.

"Aunty!!! I missed you too. I was missing you the most in these ten months. But this Ruhaan was not letting me talk to you because he fought with me." My eyes widened listening to Sohana's reply. That girl was giving me a teasing smile while hugging my mother.

Wtf! I fought with her? When? I don't remember such incidents when we both fought. Did she just lied to my mom so that I can get a good scold by my mom?

No way I can believe this girl.

My mother broke the hug and turned back to look at me. She took big steps towards me and I gulped in fear.

Oh god please save me!

She held my ear tightly and twisted it.

"Ouch! Maa!" I screamed in pain.

"What maa huh? You fought with my future daughter-in-law? How dare you?" She asked me showing me her angry eyes.

"Maa please leave me pleaseeee!!!!!" I whined and she left my ear.

"Chal aaj Tera Janam dinn hai isiliye chor dia. Warna---
(Today is your birthday that's why I'm leaving you or else---)

"Warna aap mere Janam dinn ko Mera maut ka dinn banati." I said caressing my red ear. I looked at her, her eyes were softened by now.
(Or else you would've converted my birth date into my death date)

"Bakwas mat kar, tera janam dinn hai aaj. Main jaa rahi hun tere liye tere pasand ke khana banane. Tu Sohana ke saath baat kar ya jo karna hai kar." She said the last part teasingly and I could feel my ears turning red.
(Don't talk nonsense. Today is your birthday, I am going to cook your favourite dishes. You talk to Sohana or do whatever you want to do)

She went out of my room and I looked at Sohana looking at me with an awkward smile.

"Your mom is so smart." She exclaimed and I nodded.

"She is."

"Btw what are your plannings for today? Today is your birthday any party shaty or not?" She asked me with a wide smile and placed her arm on my shoulder.

"No, I don't celebrate my birthday. And about plannings, I'll go to office, complete my work, and will return to home. That's it." I told and looked at her. She was boring her eyes on me.

"Jerk!" She spat.

"What?"

"You will go to mandir with me." She said and my brows curved.

"What? Temple? No!" I said and was about to go but she held my bicep and turned me towards her.

"I am not asking you to go Ruhaan! I am ordering you!!" She said with squinted eyes.

"Oh, okay!" I agreed because I know if I'll deny to her then she'll eat me raw or else won't talk to me for 1 or 2 weeks.

"Okay then, I am going to my home. Get ready within 1 hour." She said and I nodded.

We both stepped outside of our room and went out. She settled inside the cab she has booked and I bid her goodbye.

I went inside and took a shower. I am going to temple after 3 years. After Avni's death I stopped believing in God. I thought that God doesn't listen to anyone. But after getting Sohana as my life partner, I have again started to believe him. Not like before but a little bit. I don't know what will happen today.

I wore a simple yellow kurta and a white trousers with that. I wore my wristwatch, combed my hair and sprayed the perfume on me. Wearing my shoes, I went out.

I walked towards my car and settled inside. Starting the engine, I drove towards Sohana's house.

Within 30 minutes, I reached there and called her. She came outside after 5 minutes.

I looked at her and the first thing that came to my tongue was ethereal.

She was wearing a yellow saree with white flowers printed on its border. She has parted her hair in the middle and curled her hair. The silver jhumkas in her ear were jiggling from side to side as she took her steps forward. The smile on pretty her face was looking so beautiful today. Her tiny waist was a little bit visible due to the saree. And there was a mole in her waist. Her blue bangles made a peaceful sound when she lifted her hand to tug her hair strands behind her ear. She walked towards me and stood infront of me.

"Kaisi lag rahi hun?" She asked me and I pulled her towards me by her waist.
(How am I looking?)

"Main pandit ji se baat kar leta hun, ham dono shadi karke aa jayenge." I whispered caressing her cheeks. Her cheeks turned red and she moved her gaze away.

"Let's go." I said and opened the door for her.

She settled inside and I sat on the driver seat and drove towards the temple.

"Btw, when will you go to Singapore?" I asked her

"Why? Don't you like that I have come to Ahmedabad? Okay then do one thing, take me to the airport. I will go back." She said and I immediately shook my head.

"Hell no!! I was asking you because I want to spend all the time in these days with you." I said and she passed me a small smile.

"I won't go to Singapore anymore. From now, I'll live here permanently." She said and my eyes widened. I immediately stopped the car and looked at her not believing her words.

"What are you saying, Sohana?" I asked her and she smiled.

"Yes, I won't go to Singapore anymore." She said and started to explain me the whole thing.

[Flashback, In Singapore]

"Then is it your final decision, Dr. Sohana?" The hospital's CEO asked me.

"Yes sir, I want to go back to Ahmedabad. I want to go to my old hospital." I said and he smiled.

"But why so sudden?" He asked me and I smiled a little.

"Sir, When I came here, I had many dreams and I thought that this is the best decision for me, this hospital is best for me. But I never realized that while choosing the best for myself, I forgot about my loved ones. I left my father alone. Those children whom I loved so much, I left them behind in the that hospital. Those patients who treat me like their daughter, I left them. I left the person whom I love the most. But now I've realised my mistake. I want to go back to Ahemdabad. I want to spend the rest of my life there. I realised that the best for me is in Ahmedabad. That's why I want to go back." I said and he nodded.

"I am glad to hear this. Often people leave their own home just for their own good. They leave the city where they were born, forget that place and start a new life. But you, Dr. Sohana, are an inspiration for the future doctors." He said and I passed him a smile.

"Thank you so much sir." I said and he nodded.

"Okay then, I'll talk to the CEO of Ahemdabad's city hospital. And tell them about this." He said and I stood up.

"Than you so much sir, I should leave then." I said and went out of his cabin.

I saw Preeti standing there with a sad pout on her face.

"I will miss you, Sohana." She said and cane forward to hug me. I hugged her back and patted her head.

"I'll miss you too." I said and we broke the hug.

"Btw, when will you go to Ahmedabad?" She asked me.

"Day after tomorrow. Actually that day is Ruhaan's birthday so I want to give him a surprise." I said with a wide smile.

[Flashback ends]

I looked at him, he was staring at me blankly.

"You left a great opportunity just for me?" He asked me and my brows knitted.

"Who told you that I left that opportunity for you. I left that for my loved ones. Okay!" I said and he shook his head.

"It's not okay Sohana. Your dreams were ruined because of me." He said and I cupped his cheeks.

"No, it's not because of you. It's not because of anyone. I did this for myself okay? And I learned many things there which I am going to use here, in the hospital." I said and he nodded.

He pecked my forehead.

"I hope you're satisfied by your decision." He said and I nodded in agreement.

"Yes, I am satisfied. Now let's go or else we'll be late." I said and he started the car.

After 45 minutes, we reached Mahadev's temple. We both got out of the car and he came towards me. Holding my hand we climbed the stairs. Suddenly, my feet got stuck on my saree and I was about to fall but Ruhaan held me, snaking his arms around my waist.

"Are you okay?" He asked me and I nodded.

I felt uncomfortable noticing the gazes on us so I was about to move back but he lift me up in his arms in a bridal style and started to climb the stairs.

"What are you doing, Ruhaan?" I asked him but he didn't replied.

"C'mon Ruhaan, I am not Deepika Padukone or you're not a Shahrukh Khan." I said rolling my eyes.

"Roll your eyes again, and I'll show you stars." He said and I understood his words.

I became quiet and looked at his face.

He is so handsome!

"Stop staring at me, daisy." He said and I shook my head.

"I'm admiring you." I said and he placed me on the ground.

"Jaiye jiss kaam ke liye aai thi woh kaam karke aayie." He said and I nodded.
(Go and do the work for which you came)

I went inside and did the pooja for Ruhaan.

I looked at Mahadev's statue. Joining my hands, I closed my eyes and prayed to him.

"Mahadev, You have understood my heart very well. And that's why you have given me the solution to every problem of mine. But today I have come here not for myself but for my Ruhaan. I have been loving him for many years but today he has also started loving me. And in these days I have realised that he is really a broken man from inside. He always seemed like a very happy person but I know that after Avni's death he was broken from inside. He has now understood the thing, but please give me such strength that I can remove all his sorrows from his life and can give all my happiness to him. Mahadev, please always keep my Ruhaan happy. This is my prayer to you." I opened my eyes after the prayer only to see Ruhaan praying to God. He was kneeling on the ground, bowing his head down. A small smile appeared on my face looking at my love of life praying to God.

He lifted his head up and stood up. Looking at me he raised his brows in amusement. I shook my head and held his palm.

We both went to the place where the workers were serving prasad. I walked towards the place and came back with one plate of prasad.

My brows furrowed when I couldn't find Ruhaan. I looked around but there was no sign of him. I went near the pond which was present behind the temple. I saw Ruhaan sitting there on the stairs and throwing stones inside the water. I chuckled softly looking at him.

I went towards him and took a sit beside him. He felt a presence behind him so he looked at me. He smiled and I passed him the plate of prasad. He took the pallu of my saree and cleaned the dust from his hands. I squeezed my eyes and looked at him. He pinched my cheeks softly and I giggled.

He took a little prasad in his hand and forwarded his hand to my lips. I parted my lips and ate the prasad.

I was feeling really happy today. These small gestures of him is clearly showing me that how much he loves me. I also took a little bit prasad and feed him. After eating the prasad I wiped his lips with the help my pallu.

I rested my head on my shoulder and relaxed a little. He placed his head on my head and we both stared at the pond.

"What are you thinking?" He asked me and I smiled.

"Life is so beautiful with you Ruhaan." I said and felt him smiling.

"My life is a complete heaven with you." He said entangling our hands.

"Thank you so much for handling my all tantrums and for staying in my life even after I hurted you so much." He said and I kissed his palm.

"Forget that, it's all about past. But now we both are together happy and healthy." I said and he placed my hand on his chest.

"Yes"

We both spent more than 2 hours there. We didn't even realized that we were in the temple for this long. It's just we were so lost in each other and didn't realised that it was already evening.

"Chalen?" He asked me and I nodded. He stood up and passed his hand towards me. I placed my hand on his and stood up.

We both walked out of the temple and suddenly a message popped on my mobile's screen. It was from Ruhaan's mother.

Aunty: The decorations are completed you both can come back. Don't forget to blindfold Ruhaan!

Me: Okay Aunty! *smiley emoji*

I looked at Ruhaan, he was going to sit on the driver's seat. I quickly walked towards him and pulled him back.

"What?" He asked me in confusion.

"You're not going to sit on the driver's seat." I said and he rolled his eyes.

"To kya aap mujhe apne god main bithaengi?" He asked me with a teasing smile.
(Then will you let me sit on your lap?)

"No!" I said slapping his chest.

"Then why are you forbidding me to sit on the driver's seat? Who will drive the car then?" He asked me and I grinned.

"Why am I here darling?" I asked him moving closer to him.

"What do you mean?" He asked me and I shut my eyes close.

I took out the blindfold from my bag and immediately blindfolded him.

"What are you doing?" He yelled.

"Kidnapping you." I replied.

"Wth! Stop kidding Sohana."

"I'm not kidding with you. I am saying the truth. I am kidnapping you. Now go and sit on the passenger seat." I said and pushed him inside the car.

"Are you serious Sohana? See if I'll get angry then you have to face the consequences." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, yeah we'll see."

I settled on the driver's seat and looked at him.

"Listen, you won't open the blindfold okay." I said and he moved his head towards me.

"But why?"

"For my sake." I said and he lifted his hands up.

"Okay mam!"

I started the car's engine and drove towards his home. After we reached there, I helped him in getting out of the car.

"Where are we Sohana?" He asked me and I hushed him.

"Wait a little bit more, you'll soon know it."

We walked inside his house and stood at the entrance. I opened his blindfold and the place lightened.

"Happy Birthday!"
