Freedom was something Yin lacked while she was away. For years on end, she hadn't felt the wind on her face or the feeling of grass on her fingertips.

She was stuck, unable to do anything or go anywhere. With stupid anti-magic cuffs.

Being out behind bars was hell. She had no one to talk to, aside from her cellmate but they were as entertaining as a wall.

When she had first entered juvie she wasn't sure how to react. For starters, she was shocked someone was stronger than her.

But if Captain man didn't have help she would have ruled everyone. She would have made him kneel in front of her and made him plead for forgiveness.

Failure wasn't new to Yin but she never let that get in her way. And as she walked into the lunch room she didn't fail to lead.

With a head held high she walked into the line, grabbing a bright orange tray.

Her nose curled at the unappealing food, most of them were pale greys and shitty browns.

As she moves up to the window a large lady, she assumed it was a woman, plopped a chunk of something into her tray.

Before she could move to the next person someone cut in front of her, him and his gang laughing as they jumped in front and bumped into her.

Her lip curled as she turned to them, "You're supposed to get at the back of the line, dipshits."

The group went laughed and turned. Their faces held amusement as they looked her up and down.

The leader, a boy with black hair and a cocky smirk, raised an eyebrow.

"We're you talking to me, chickmunk?" He grinned.

Yin raised an eyebrow as she placed her hand on her hip, making her blue hair swayed behind her shoulder.

"You're either dumb as hell or deaf. Maybe it's the overall lack of creativity, cow."

His friends chuckled as he narrowed his eyes. The boy slammed his tray down with a load crash. Most of the people in the cafeteria went silent, watching the interaction.

"You know who I am?" He hissed.

"I couldn't give a shit, I'd beat your ass either way."

People 'ooh'ed, making her role her eyes. It was like they were puppets for entertainment.

Dramatic.

"Atleast I have an ass, you're nothing but skin and bones."

She remained stoic as people laughed.

"I bet you like that though." She stared at him. His face broke in confusion.

"You like picking on people who are half your size, you like to hurt the ones who can't defend themselves."

The room went quiet as he clinched his fist.

"That just the lowest of low. Making you the scum of this place, the ones who can't take it when someone stronger stands up to them. People like your are so easy to break."

The boy practically trembled in anger, his eyes shining with something manic.

"I mean, you're in here for a reason... chickmunk."

Yin slowly finished her sentence, ducking right in time for him to swing at her. He didn't pull his punches and moved with heavy steps.

Jokes on him, she didn't hold back either. And she was the queen of Swellviews teen to junior juvenile detention center for a reason.

Yin had excaped. Her three year plan had succeeded, for her at least. Something had gone wrong and her right hand man, Sebastian, hadn't made it out.

She wouldn't show how much it hurt to be alone again. He had helped her so much more than she'd like to admit but she had to keep going, even if it was without him.

"There! I see her!"

Yin swore under her breath and she bursted into a sprint, holding his pirate hat in her hand for good measure.

As her pathway ended she looked between her two options.

To the right there was an isolated forest, fog covered the ground and tree branches were high in the air, leaving visible space between. She would be easily notice and eventually trapped if she went that way.

Or left, a downwards hill that bled into a large body of water. The gorgeous blue was the same color as her hair and seemed to be deep enough to cover herself.

Left.

Trusting her instincts she ran towards the water.  Her outfit was quickly drenched as she stepped inside. The yelling of the overweight guards grew closer as the cold water rose to her waist.

With one last look over her shoulder she dived in, keeping her eyes open as she traveled to the bottom.

The farther she got, the darker it became. Thankfully, the water wasn't pitch black and she could see ahead of her.

As she looked up something shined in the corner of her eye. Small bubbles left her mouth as she turned.

She had been underwater for about a minute but shadows still danced across the sandy edge.

With desperate strokes, she paddled to the right. The bright shimmer turned into two and three and four until she couldn't count the amount.

A cave.

She poked her head up, greedily taking the air into her lungs. Her arms ached and legs burned as she pulled herself up and into the dark cavern.

Jewels of all colors coated the roof, droplets of water echoing ever few seconds when the hit the ground after falling.

It was peaceful, relaxing even.

Yin shook out her hat, wringing it of the water before using it to cover her eyes as she laid down.

In that moment she let herself go, deliriously laughing of pure exhaustion and relief. Because in that moment she felt safe.

And it was blissful.
