I look down at my choice paper for high school. The paper had one listed and it was one all the way on the other side of Japan...the one my parents wanted me to go to because they went there. I don't care what they think. I grab a pencil and write down UA for my second choice. I stand up from my desk and follow everyone else as the day had ended. I walk to the train station and get on my train home. I take a seat and plug in my headphones to listen to music. The train came to a steady stop and I put my phone away and walk off. I bump into someth- no someone. "Oh! I'm s-sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." I say standing up. "Oh you're fine I wasn't looking where I was going either! I think this is yours..." They say.

I look up to see a boy with short black hair and a cheesy smile. 

"UA huh? That's where I'm thinking of applying! Hanta Sero!" The boy says. 

"Uh...N-Nozomi Hitomi." I say taking my paper that he handed back to me. 

"Hitomi? Wait! You're the Steel Heroes' daughter aren't you?" He asks. 

"Y-yeah...I guess." I sigh putting the paper in my bag. 

"I'm sorry again I bumped into you but I have to go," I say giving a polite bow, and walked off. 

"Oh, bye then!" He shouts back.

Shit Nozomi! You made a complete fool of yourself! And you were recognized by someone...because of Mother and Father. 

I say to myself. My hair was a mess and falling out of its hair tie. I made a simple vine with my quirk and tied it back up. My hair is long and hard to take care of. I have a white streak of hair in the front while to rest of my hair is dark blue just perfect to complement my icy blue eyes. After walking for a bit I arrive at my apartment. Due to my parents making a lot of money as Pros and them not caring about me I got a small apartment when I turned 14 and live by myself. Not like it matters but it is not far from my parents and I live just outside of Masutafu. 

I walk up the stairs and come to my door wich I grab my key and unlock the door. I open it and walk inside. I hang my bag up and slip off my shoes. My cat, Giyuu, walks up to me and rubs against my leg. I pick him up and hug him. "Missed ya too buddy!" I say with a small smile. He was a black cat with eyes that match mine. I set him down and walk to my room and open my closet. I take out an oversized white sweater with a blue line pattern and some black leggings. I take off my uniform and put on my casual clothes. I slip on some light pink socks aswell as my white house shoes. 

I grab my duffle bag and put my stuff for ice skating in it. My parents have had me ice skating since I was at the age of 4. I liked it because it gave me something to do. It also was a distraction from when my brother disappeared. My brother Rinomi Hitomi and I were twins and each other's best friends. Like me, our parents never cared about him and were too busy being heroes and caring about others than their kids. This is why I'm entering UA to become a hero for him. I zip up my bag and sling it on my shoulder. I walk out of my room and into the kitchen. I grab my water bottle and put it in my bag aswell as my phone and earbuds. 

I put some food out for Giyuu to which he runs to when he hears it hit the bottom of the metal bowl. I pet him on his head and stand back up. I walk to the entrance and put on my white tenny shoes. I grab my keys and open my door. "Be back late Giyuu!" I say. I walk back down the stairs and am on my way to the rink. When I arrive I'm greeted by my friends Yumi, Hikari, Tokiko, and Eishiky. "What took so long?!" Yumi asks. "It took me a bit to get to my apartment I bumped into someone while I was walking home..." I say walking to the locker rooms. "Ooooo! Was it a boy???" Tokiko asks with a smirk. "Yes..." I sighed opening the door. "Was he cute?" Eishiky asks. "Why do you guys ask her that when she says she meets a guy?" Hikari asks. 

"Because I've never had a boyfriend," I answer as I unlock my locker. "And it's a shame that she's never had one," Eishiky says. "None of you have had one either," I say. "Hey! Not the point here!" Tokiko remarks. "Can we change the subject? How about...oh! Entrance Exams for hero high schools are coming up! Are you still trying for UA, Nozo?" Hikari asks. "Yeah. How about you?" I ask. "Mhm!" She smiles. "How about the rest of you?" I ask my other friends. "We're shooting for UA too!" Tokiko and Yumi say at the same time. "Where are you going Eishiky?" Yumi asks our red and black-haired friend. "Nah, I'm gonna go to a normal high school," Eishi says rubbing the back of her neck. 

I put on my skating leotard and the matching skirt over it. I put on my tenny shoes and the rest of us walkout. Everyone else had their stuff on already and it was just me. I sit on a bench and take off my shoes replacing them with my skates. My friends put theirs on too. My skates were just basic white ones. We all get on the ice and follow our teacher's instructions. The class lasted an hour before we all got off and went to change. I put my regular clothes back on and take my bag out of my locker. "Hey Nozomi, can I stay with you tonight?" Yumi, who was the only one left other than me, asks. "Yeah sure..." I say. "Thanks!" She says hugging me tightly. 

We both walk back to my apartment and I unlock the door. I put my shoes up and trade them out for my house slippers. I hand Yumi a pair and she put them on. "Giyuu!" I say calling my cat. He meows at me saying he doesn't want to get up. He was probably in the living room. "He's in the living room I think," I say to Yumi. Yumi loves cats but both her parents and her little brother are allergic so she can't have one. Yumi walks to the living room to pet Giyuu. I open my room door and put my skating clothes in a bin of dirty clothes I need to wash.

I put my skates up in my closet. A small box falls down from up top and onto the floor. Huh? What is this? I ask myself. It was a plain white box with a few scratches on it and some small stickers. I open the box and see pictures of me and my brother when we were younger. I fall to my knees as tears form in my eyes. Yumi comes rushing over and hugs me. "Why did he have to go?" I mutter out from under my tears.
