【Kaven's Solo Route】
✦ -• option one
When agreeing to go on a blind date as a 'favor' to a friend, it's a good idea not to get your hopes up. For all you know, this person you're out meeting could be a kidnapper, murderer, or just a total weirdo. Not to mention they could be unattractive, and not just in the sense of physical appearance. Chances are that they agreed to go on a blind date for a reason, and that reason could be that they're a total asshole with no manners. Then again, they might of been manipulated into agreeing to go on the date by the mutual friend as well. Whatever the reason, your expectations for the man you were meeting at the restaurant were awfully low. It was reassuring to know that one of your friends was at the same place just in case some things went sour though. Five minutes passed the time he was supposed to arrive, but you lived in the city so you could understand traffic. Ten minutes passed, still no blind date man. Twenty minutes bled into thirty and you were beginning to think that you had wasted your time dressing up and coming out to dinner. Pulling your phone out, you decided to rip your friend a new one for the guy being late even if it wasn't their fault. Half way through the rant message, a figure stood beside your table, holding a bouquet of flowers. It would of been a nice gesture, but it was the sign you had agreed on to know that the guy was the blind date. For him to bring fourteen tulips, the petals shined with droplets of water. "I'm so sorry for being late." The blonde apologized, half of you wanted to get up and leave but you didn't want to seem like a loser who got stood up. Plus you were hungry, so you took the flowers with a smile and introduced yourself, your date, Kaven, did as well. The rest of the night breezed by easily, conversation bouncing surprisingly well between you two. By the time dessert rolled around, you had been laughing so much your stomach hurt. When the waiter placed down two slices of cake in front of both of you, Kaven cut a small piece off of it but didn't raise it to his mouth. Instead, his demeanor turned rather serious compared to the lighthearted atmosphere and he leaned closer towards you. "Look, I'm going to be honest. I didn't really want to come to this." He told you, making you a bit mad wondering why he came anyway, but then you remembered you were a bit forced into this. "But I'm desperate." Your eyes widened slightly at his honesty, before he shook his head. "I'm not desperate for sex or anything, but I need someone to go to a wedding with me this weekend."
