✧ ˚ 　·　 . There comes a time in everyone's life when they desire something more than what they've been given. They find themselves craving a little adventure and maybe even a little danger. And that's exactly where Patsy Preston found herself. The small town of Butler, Tennessee never had anything exciting happening, except when the fresh shipment of fruit came in on a Saturday morning at the local grocery store.

The Preston family are respectable people with roots dug deep in the little town. With her mothers side filled with miners and her fathers with farmers, there was no escaping the family tradition of staying in the same ole town. Many have tried to leave, but they always came back for one reason or another. Like many other people in this world, Patsy's family didn't believe in the things that go bump in the night. There's a certain bliss in ignorance just letting yourself go from day to day believing in just the good. 

Patsy grew up quite a bit different than her close friend Clara Emery who had her doubts about the real world and what everyone believed or what they didn't believe in. Many nights the two would stay up past midnight reading up about different lores, their favorite being the one that happened in their own little town. A story about a mine that caved in with ten souls inside to either get crushed or suffocate. 

When two ruggedly handsome strangers roll into town and Patsy overhears them talk about the same ghost legend, she has no choice but to call her best friend and start heading down that dark and dangerous road.

And hopefully make it out alive.
