The odd silence continued to occupy the house even after the funfair.Β But this time, nobody knew the reason.
Flynn was sitting alone in the kitchen by the counter, holding his head in his hands. His three friends noticed this and decided to get out of him what happened.
"What did you screw up this time?" Hiccup asked him as they approached him from behind.
Flynn lifted his head up to see the boys sit down around him. His lips curved into a small smile but that still didn't change anything that happened yesterday. "Basically, everything," he said after taking a deep breath.
"Well, it doesn't seem to me that the apocalypse is starting so you couldn't screw up everything." Jack shrugged and took a bite out of his sandwich, all the other boys had no idea where he got it from.
"C'mon man, it can't be that bad." Kristoff smiled his sweet smile that everyone likes and Flynn rolled his eyes.
"It's easy for you, you actually got your girl." Flynn hissed at him and they immediately knew what this is about.
"So it's about Elsa." Kristoff continued, not taking anything he said personally because he knew that Flynn is just angry.
"I don't know why I did it. I very well knew she's not ready. But still, my stupid brain thought it's a good time to kiss her when she was pouring her heart out to me." Flynn blurted out and Jack choked on his sandwich.
"You kissed her?!" they all said at once, not making this any easier.
"How could you think of that? You know Elsa is the most complicated one of them." Hiccup said with wide eyes and Jack grabbed him by the shoulder to calm him down.
"What he meant to say was that you should let her cool down and sort her things out. I'm sure she'll figure out what an amazing guy you are." Jack said with a supportive voice and Flynn finally smiled too.
"Thanks, guys, but I hope it won't take long otherwise I'll die because of the wait," Flynn added and they all chuckled before leading him downstairs.
"Now c'mon! Music calls!" Kristoff yelled as they made their way to their recording room.

Meanwhile, on the actual opposite side of the house, three girls were knocking on a locked door.
"Elsa, you've been there the whole morning ever since we came back yesterday. What's wrong?" Rapunzel's calm voice said from the door as Elsa listened to it. She was sitting on her bed, wrapped in her blanket. The worst thing for her was that she didn't even know what she was feeling. If she was angry, sad, or just surprised? Maybe all in one.
Elsa just sighed and stood up, still wrapped in her blanket and walked to the door like a ghost, which she also kinda looked like, and opened the door. Her best friends were shocked by her appearance but didn't show it and just gave her a soothing smile.
"We want to help you and we need to know what happened." Anna smiled and Elsa didn't want to be rude to her, even though deep down she wanted to because of her relationship with Kristoff.
"I don't think you can actually help me with this." she mumbled and turned around, jumping back on her bed.
"C'mon, we all had fun yesterday, what did you do?" Anna asked and sat down beside her, placing her arm around her shoulders.
"Of course you had fun with your little boyfriend." Elsa said rather cold and Anna put away her hand, being shocked.
"Hey, something bad happened to you, but we are here to help you, not get yelled at." Merida rolled her eyes and folded her arms on her chest. They were all sitting on Elsa's bed around her, waiting for her to say something.
"You know how you were all having fun yesterday? Well, I didn't." she started and the other girls gave each other confused looks. "Flynn kissed me and I panicked and ran home." she said quickly and hid her red face in her hands. It was still hard to even think about it and now she has to talk about it? She's crossing her line there.
"Well that's actually good! You're finally getting a boyfriend!" Rapunzel said happily while she clapped her hands but Elsa just quickly shook her head.
"No! That's far away from good!" tears ran down Elsa's cheeks and now her friends were really worried about her.
"Elsa, does it have to do something with you moving away when we were kids?" Anna said calmly and hugged her friend again. They both remembered how they used to play every day. But then something happened and Elsa had to move away. And until high school, they didn't see each other at all.
"You know how kids actually have many friends when they are little? I didn't, you were my only friend Anna. My dad was very strict about basically everything I did. I couldn't go out and when I finally convinced my dad, I could be outside only for a certain amount of time, which I always spent with you." tears started to appear in Anna's eyes as well because she remembered it all. How they used to sit on the swing together and talk about their dolls. How they used to jump in the puddles every time it was raining. And how Elsa just disappeared one day.
"My dad said I'm getting too distracted in this city and forced me and my mom to move away. Later we found out he did that just to be closer to the woman he was cheating on my mom with. Ever since that, I decided not to trust men. Any men. And I certainly don't trust Flynn enough so he could play with my heart." even though tears were still running down Elsa's cheeks, she sounded serious that the girls got chills.
"We're so sorry. But I'm glad you finally opened up to us." Rapunzel smiled with the smile that everyone loves and hugged Elsa tightly, later with Anna and Merida joining her. "I totally understand why you don't want to trust him. But trust me when I'm telling you that Flynn is certainly not like your father. He's sweet, funny and actually cares for you."
"And I'm pretty sure right now he hates himself and thinks he broke everything between you two." Merida added with her accent getting into their ears.
"Give him a try, again. And it doesn't have to be in a boyfriend way. Just friends, for now. Spend some time with him and I'm sure when he sees that you want to be with him, he won't try anything else until you're ready." Anna gave her the sweetest smile you can imagine and with that Elsa melted. She sighed and nodded her head, the girls squealed and hugged her again.
"And don't play such drama on us, we all know you care for him." Merida said with sass in her voice and Rapunzel with Anna laughed while Elsa playfully hit her arm.
That day, Elsa realized that her childhood wasn't good. And yes, she wasn't always surrounded by the best people. But what matters is that now she is. And she wants to keep these people in her life at all costs.
