Rapunzel groaned loudly, staring at herself in the mirror which was located in her large queen sized bedroom. She turned around countless times to examine her entire figure, focusing mainly on the tenth outfit she had tried on this morning. Clothes were scattered on the floor around her and she bit her lip in frustration. Currently, she was wearing blue denim shorts, a thin strapped purple crop top and a pair of white sneakers. The top showed off her tanned stomach, to which she wasn't very pleased about at the moment.
It had been a few days since they recorded the first song for their album, and since then the gang had become better friends then they were before. It was very warm outside today and the sun shone brightly, so the eight decided they would spend some time in the park and try to come up with their next song. "Punzie, you better hurry up, the others are waiting downstairs to lea-" Elsa began to explain, walking into the blondes room, but stopped when she saw how annoyed her friend seemed while looking at herself in the mirror. "What's wrong?" The platinum blonde asked.
"Nothing looks good!" She yelled in response.
Elsa raised her eyebrow in confusion. "We're just going to the park," she inquired. "There's no need to dress up. Just throw on anything." Elsa giggled, although Punzie didn't join in.
"It's not that," Rapunzel replied, turning to face her friend. "I don't wanna look slutty..." she whispered the last part, even though there was no need to.
"Slutty?" Elsa laughed at how absurd the girls reasons were. "Punz, I've seen you wear that outfit tons of times before, it's obviously one of your favourites! Nothing about it is slutty." She reassured her.
"Promise?" Rapunzel asked timidly.
"Promise," Elsa nodded with a smile, putting her hands on the blondes shoulders. "Don't let what Astrid said get to you. You gotta love yourself, Rapunzel. That's all you have to do." Punzie smiled back, hugging Elsa tightly.

"Quit it, Rider!" Merida hissed as the brunette boy tried to place yet another daisy on top of her mass of red curls. She slapped his hand away, to which he winced at before laughing cheekily.
The gang had made it to the park and were now sat messily on a patch of the fresh green grass. Flowers were dotted around the area and a water fountain could be seen only a few meters away from them. The sun beat down on them harshly, so the eight had bought ice creams to keep them cool. Jack lay on his back after finishing his food, a guitar resting on his chest as he strummed it. Rapunzel sat next to him and watched as he played no particular tune. She glanced down to the lower half of her body and exhaled, trying not to worry about what she was wearing too much. Her mind went back to earlier, when Elsa came into her room.
'You gotta love yourself, Rapunzel. That's all you have to do.'
The sentence kept replaying in her mind. A light suddenly flickered on in the blondes brain. She began to hum to Jacks tune, no one playing much attention to what she was doing.
Yeah,
When I get chills at night,
I feel it deep inside
without you, yeah.
Know how to satisfy,
Keeping that tempo right
without you, yeah.
Barely even realising it, Rapunzel began to sing softly as words suddenly managed to flow in her brain. The others stared at her with surprise and curiosity. Jack didn't stop playing the tune as he noticed she was singing to it, and continued on with it.
Pictures in my mind on replay.
I'm gonna touch the pain away.
I know how to scream my own name,
Scream my name.
Punzie snapped out of her spaced mind set and stopped singing once she saw everyone looking at her. Jack shook his head, "Keep going." He told her with a smile. She nodded, closing her eyes and finding the next sentence in the song she was forming.
I love me,
Gonna love myself,
no I don't need anybody else! Hey,
Gonna love myself,
no I don't need anybody else!
I love me,
Can't help myself,
no I don't need anybody else!
Anytime, day or night.
I love me.
Anna clapped with excitement. "When did you write that, Punzie?" She exclaimed.
Rapunzel giggled and shrugged. "It just came to me right now. The song kind of just made itself up in my mind."
"Well, we have to use it on the album!" Hiccup said with a big smile. Flynn nodded in agreement, everyone else soon joining in. Punz wanted to burst with happiness.
I'll take it nice and slow.
Feeling good on my own,
without you, yeah.
Got me speaking in tongues.
The beautiful, it comes
without you, yeah.
"So, the songs about self-empowerment?" Elsa asked the blonde, a proud tone in her voice. She sat with Rapunzel and Merida on the grass, while Jack and Flynn could be seen leaning against a large tree, coming up with more of a strong melody on the guitar for the song and Hiccup, Anna and Kristoff chatted near the fountain about what other instruments to use.
Punzie nodded, "And loving yourself, just like you told me to do." Elsa smiled at her, happy the blonde had finally found some way of letting her feelings out.
"It's going to sound awesome on the album," Merida squealed. "Add some drumming and some more guitar and the song will for sure hit top of the charts!" The three girls high fived with giggles.
I'm gonna put my body first,
And love me so hard 'til it hurts.
I know how to scream out the words,
Scream the words.
Flynn strummed Jack's guitar, humming the tune to Rapunze's song. He looked up to catch Jack staring over to the certain blonde, who laughed with Elsa and Merida.
Flynn sniggered, taking this as an opportunity to make fun of his friend. "You like her, huh?"
Jack snapped from his thoughts and turned to give Flynn a surprised glare. "What? No- Punzie? Of course not! Why would I like her? That's crazy, man... I-"
Flynn erupted into fits of laughter. "I'm just messing with you, dude." He chuckled, going back to playing the guitar. Jack's eyes widened but soon relief filled him up. He couldn't believe Flynn hadn't realised how on edge he seemed. I mean, there was no way he could ever like Rapunzel, like that... right?
I love me,
Gonna love myself,
no I don't need anybody else! Hey,
Gonna love myself,
no I don't need anybody else!
I love me,
Can't help myself,
no I don't need anybody else!
Anytime, day or night.
I love me.
"You are not making this a rock song!" Anna yelled at the two boys. "You already managed to make Merida's song rock-"
Hiccup cut her off. "And it sounds ten times better because of that!"
Anna huffed. "You have a point... but it's still a no. This song is very important to Rapunzel and you're only allowed to change it if she says it's okay!"
Kristoff crossed his arms over his chest and grinned, before calling out Rapunzel's name. The blonde turned to look at him. "Is it alright if we make the song a little more rock and dance themed?" He asked loud enough so she could hear, to which the girl gave a thumbs up and a smile to. Hiccup and Kris turned and smirked at Anna, who gritted her teeth at them in defeat.
The strawberry blonde then got an idea. She looked behind the boys to see the water fountain and grinned back at them evilly. They looked at her with confusion for a moment before suddenly getting shoved into the fountain by her. Anna began to laugh hysterically as the others noticed what she had done and ran over to the scene.
Ah, la la la, la la la la la.
Ah, la la la, la la la la la.
Ah, la la la, la la la la la.
Anytime that I like,
I love me.
I know how to scream my own name,
Scream my name!
Merida was the first to join Anna in laughing as Hiccup and Kristoff stood up in the fountain, drenched in water with frowns on their faces. Flynn laughed too, but was dragged into the fountain by Kristoff before he could make a sarcastic comment.
I love me,
Gonna love myself,
no I don't need anybody else! Hey,
Gonna love myself,
no I don't need anybody else!
I love me,
Can't help myself,
no I don't need anybody else!
Anytime, day or night.
I love me.
By now, the whole gang, including Hiccup, Kristoff and Flynn were laughing. Anna shrugged playfully as she jumped into the fountain. The three boys who were already in there cheered for her. Soon Jack had joined them, followed by Merida and Rapunzel.
Ah, la la la, la la la la la.
Ah, la la la, la la la la la.
Ah, la la la, la la la la la.
Anytime that I like,
Elsa giggled at them all as they splashed around, catching the attention of many passers by and some paparazzi who were hiding outside the park. Flynn noticed Elsa had not yet come into the fountain and held out a hand to her. She stared at him with surprise and he chuckled, "Come on, I don't bite, Snow."
The platinum blonde rolled her eyes with a snigger before taking off her shoes and grabbing his hand. He pulled her in, both of them falling backwards into the water. The others laughed along with them and they spent the next hour playing and having fun in the fountain.
I love me.
