───── SIERRA INSERTED HER KEY, unlocking the front door. The house was quiet and dark, like a soul hadn't been inside in a while. It was kind of like the life was taken out of the house since Rafael came back into down. "We're just going to wait here for Scott. We're going to sit quietly. We're not going to call or talk to anyone," Stiles stated toward the young boy.

"Do I talk to you or her?" Derek asked.

Stiles and Derek bicker back and forth, when the three stopped abruptly in their steps at the mention of a masculine figure in front of them. The Stilinski boy let out a shriek, surprised at the darker figure. Rafael walked toward the group of teenagers, questioning the boys who stood under his roof as he watched his daughter stand in between the two.

Sierra noticed the overprotective stare her father had on her, shaking her head confirming the older figure that nothing was going on. Rafael invited the teenagers to eat dinner with him as he noticed Derek's exterior at the mention of food but Stiles was quick and spoke for the group, telling Rafael that none of them were hungry for food.

"Okay, well if you're not hungry, Stiles, you're friend can still eat with us. What's your name?" Rafael asked. Sierra smacked her hand on top the boy's mouth, forcing him to keep quiet as Stiles answered for him but knowing Stiles, she knew she'd have to back the boy up with a lot of made up crap. He couldn't have picked a worse lie... Sierra mentally added a reminder to herself to kill Stiles when she had the time to.

"¿Es usted natural de México, Miguel?" Rafael spoke his native tongue.

"Oh, my God," Stiles muttered to himself. His mind offering solutions to his little white lie but Derek managed to weasel them out of trouble as he replied in Spanish. The older McCall offered the teenagers the food displayed on the table.

Stiles hovered over, leaning toward the girl as they walked to grab a seat, "Did you forget to like, I don't know, maybe mention that your father actually spoke Spanish?" Stiles whispered grumpily.

Sierra looked at the boy dumbfounded, it was quite clear that she had Spanish ancestors. "Were you ever dropped on your head as a kid?" Sierra blurted, "Just eat a damn egg roll."

Sierra enjoyed her dinner as the conversation in front of her became muffled. "Mr. McCall, you're an FBI Agent?" Derek asked, taking the girl out of her trance. Her eyes widen, as she detached from the half bitten egg roll in her mouth.

"He's low-level. Very low-level. He doesn't even have a voice," Stiles muttered. Sierra kicked his shin, whispering between her teeth telling him to shut up.

Derek explained the details about the Hale house, hoping that an FBI Agent would have the answers he was looking for, which Rafael did and he didn't hesitate to tell the boy the truth. It looked like it seemed important. Sierra's head sunk into her hand, she gave up even trying to come up with any lies to help Stiles' fabricated plan.

Stiles told Sierra and Rafael that he and Derek were going to wait upstairs for Scott instead knowing that he was about to get an ear full of whatever Derek was going to yell at him for. As he left the room, dragging behind the young Hale, Rafael and Sierra cleaned the kitchen in silence. "If there was something going on, you'd tell me right, sweetheart?" her father spoke his only daughter, disturbing the silence she had come to peace with.

Sierra looked up at her father, for a moment, she contemplated what she wanted to tell him. There was a part of her who wanted to get down to the nitty gritty part of the supernatural world but she didn't want to worry him the way her mother had become when she found out about her son. She smiled softly at the man, "Dad, if you think I'm hiding something, you're wrong." She hoped she was convincing enough, but her father's job allowed him to see through small lies like the one his own daughter told him.

The brunette walked up the stairs after she said her goodbyes to her father, she had bumped into Stiles who was in the corner of the hallway on the phone with her older brother. Sierra nodded for him to come with her to check out the young Derek Hale. He gave her a thumbs up following behind her as he continued talking to Scott, rambling on about the old Derek. The door was wide opened. Stiles and Sierra stopped in the frame of the door when they noticed Kate's figure sneak out of the window. She looked back catching the gobsmacked teenagers, a smirk appearing on her face.

Stiles gathered the small McCall into his car, driving the dark roads of Beacon Hills until they reached their school — the place where Scott specifically told them to meet him at. Lydia was picked up along the way. The three got out of the car rather quickly, Stiles didn't hesitate to grab onto his bat left in the trunk for emergencies.

"You seriously need to find something better than a bat. You don't even play baseball, why do you even have it?" Sierra teased the boy as Stiles clutched onto the bottom attachment of the object.

"I'll have you know, I played when I was younger and was quite brilliant. And you are literally showing up emptied handed," Stiles mocked the girl.

Before Sierra could argue with the boy, she was interrupted by a roaring sound. Goosebumps ran along her arms. Stiles and Lydia led the way toward the noise, just as Sierra was about to follow the juniors, they stopped in their footsteps and turned back to the brunette.

"You're not coming with. I promised Scott I would always protect you, and what if there's a big bad monster I can't fight off. I don't want to risk that," Stiles approached the girl, tucking back a piece of hair onto her ear. Sierra sighed not wanting to argue with the boy. Every decision Scott and Stiles has made revolved around Sierra McCall, there wasn't a day that goes by that they don't make her their number one priority. Soon after, Stiles handed her the metal object to his beloved car, Sierra made a run for it as she hid in the back seat of the jeep.

Sierra walked behind Scott and Stiles, she was told to meet them by the field to talk about the events of last night but instead, the teenage boys worried about something else in particular as they approached the lacrosse field. "Of course you're still team captain. You got your grades up, just like Coach told you to, right?" Stiles hovered his hand over his friend's shoulder.

"Yeah, no thanks to Sierra helping me. I can't believe I had to ask my freshmen sister for help on linear algebra. He never told me I was back on the team — he just told me to show up at tryouts today," Scott shrugged.

Sierra laid her head on her brother's shoulder, giving him some comfort. "We got bigger things to deal with anyway. Did you tell Argent yet?" Stiles asked looking between the two siblings. Sierra shook her head as a part of her still couldn't comprehend a life without Allison, so she couldn't even bring herself to text the man for help.

She was like her older sister and it just hurt her too much to be reminded of her. Sierra couldn't imagine what her brother and Allison's father was feeling. Whenever she looked at her bow and arrow that hung on her wall — the one Allison gifted her when she thought she was ready to fight — all she wanted to do was break down and just ask why it had to be her over and over again. Her broken heart was still raw.

"I texted him but he didn't get back to me," Scott replied.

"You told his sister came back from the dead over text?" Stiles scoffed.

"Neither of us have the money to call France," Scott spoke, flailing his arms around.

Stiles shook his head, scoffing at the idea of the supernatural world taking over his life. He was only just a junior, and he had so much more to live for than this. "Yeah, you think you got money problems? Try paying for an MRI and a visit to Eichen House," Stiles muttered.

"Another notice?"

"Yeah, this one said final. Now, what the hell are we even doing here anyway? We got like, one hundred and seventeen million problems, and worrying about our status on the lacrosse team is not one of them," Stiles mentioned.

Sierra looked out at the field, her eyes meeting the lacrosse boys who scattered across the field. She watched them practice, "It probably should be if you actually want to stay on the team," Sierra nodded toward the field, making the two boys look up. There was a boy in particular that none of the teenagers could take their eyes off, the goalie. He didn't let a single ball pass over him.

"Who the hell is that?" Stiles grumbled, watching as the person took off their helmet revealing a rather handsome boy.

Sierra could have practically drooled at the sight, "I don't know but that sure was hot," she stated before turning back from the stunned boys and walking away toward the school. But before she was out of sight, she loudly advised the boys, "And you two are gonna need a lot of practice to beat him."

Second period had gone by so slowly. Just as Sierra was about to approach her locker, she was met with Stiles chasing after Malia who walked away from class. The boy pleaded with her but Sierra was not having it, "Your girlfriend, your problem. Not helping this time."

Gabriella stood by her best friend's locker, impatiently waiting to tell her about some news. Sierra opened the locker, setting down some of her textbooks into the dark hole as she listened to Gabriella's ramble about this girl she went on a date with earlier in the week. But she was distracted with the thoughts of the boy on the field which Gabriella seemed to notice, "Yeah, so I like, lost my virginity to her. No biggie."

"Wait, what?" Sierra exclaimed loudly slamming her locker close. The people in the hallway turned their head toward the two friends, curious of the noise. Gabriella and Sierra nervously avoided their stares and whispers as they pretended nothing happened.

Gabriella burst into a laughter after the silence, "Maybe pay attention to your best friend next time. What's even got you distracted?"

"Don't worry about it, Gabi," Sierra mocked her friend as she walked into her class. Her books in her arms, close to her chest.

Sierra took a seat in her history class. In class, she unconsciously tapped her pen onto her notebook as she listened to the teacher bore on about Pearl Harbour. She couldn't care any less about the topic. Her mind wandered on the detailed notes she wrote, when a pair of fingers pinched at the girl from behind, making the girl jump in her seat a little.

Sierra rolled her eyes before turning back to the perpetrator. Gabriella subtly pointed at the direction of somebody a couple of seats away, Sierra followed her friend's eye line when she caught a pair of blue eyes staring back at her. She offered the boy a smile who didn't seemed scared off by being caught. Instead, he confidently smiled brighter when her eyes met his.

"He keeps glancing at you," Gabriella sang playfully, which Sierra brushed off as she continued copying notes from the board.

To be honest, her stomach swarmed with butterflies at the idea of even just a little attention, she never really got much attention from boys, no thanks to Scott and Stiles scaring them away almost immediately. But the attention from boys who looked like Liam Dunbar felt different.

After school, Sierra promised Scott and Stiles that she would watch their boring tryout. She thought maybe the opportunity at watching them would be a great way to make fun of her brother and his best friend torture themselves for a spot on the team. Sierra and Gabriella sat on the other side of Malia who looked like she was on the brink of breaking down and giving up on school.

"I can help you with that," Sierra mentioned as she leaned over to get a good look at the textbook Malia was drawing in. She noticed the various coloured highlights on the page, most of them red. Malia thanked the girl as she moved closer toward her. Sierra explained to Malia as best she could but it seemed that it wasn't going to work out.

"I'm never going to graduate in time with all of them," Malia sighed.

Sierra placed her hand on Malia's shoulder, her smile became soft as she looked at her. She sighed, "Don't think about it like that. You're going to be a senior, Malia. I have the utmost confidence in you."

Malia Tate smiled at the young McCall. It was like she always knew what to say to inspire confidence in someone when they were in over their heads. Although being a human was still new to Malia, she noticed how much Sierra was there for her — for the whole pack. She had never let anyone down and she always put them before herself, even when the older kids wanted nothing more than to protect the girl, mostly because they knew that everything she did, she learned from Allison and nobody wanted her to meet the same fate.

For the most part, Sierra read a book she had recently bought from the town bookshop. She would look up every once in a while, catching a glimpse of the boys running laps or Malia intensely concentrating on an equation. She watched as Stiles fell down due to the lack of oxygen but not before her brother caught him, making the girl stifle a laugh.

"Liam can really keep up," Gabriella smirked, nudging the brunette who seemed more interested in her book than the 20+ guys in the field. Sierra shook her head, setting her book down finally paying attention to the new boy.

"Cool. And what exactly would you like me to do with that information, Gabi?" Sierra commented sarcastically toward the curly-haired girl which made Gabriella softly hit the girl.

Malia noticed the linger stench coming from somewhere as her head moved left and right, trying to associate the smell with one of the girls. She pointed out Kira, asking what was wrong with her. Kira seemed hesitant before spilling out her heart, "Scott and I sort-of had this thing happen... But it wasn't much of a thing and I'm starting to think it was never anything at all."

"Well, what do you want it to be?" Sierra asked, curiously at the girl who had a crush on her brother.

"More."

"Tell him that. Boys are dumb so you have to be straightforward with them since they constantly claim they can't read our minds," Gabriella mentioned before turning back to the field. Kira noted the freshmen's advice.

The girls watched as the boys they went to cheer on failed miserably on the throwing practices, while Liam seemed to be perfect at everything related to lacrosse. Sierra didn't quite understand lacrosse, the same way she didn't understand most sports. "You clearly have something I don't, he's been staring at you every chance he gets," Gabriella mentioned.

Sierra rolled her eyes, "Do you ever think about anything else other than cute boys and girls?"

"The bisexuality in me is shaking," Gabriella said, flipping her hair into her friend's face. Sierra spat out some of the remanence of Gabriella's curly brown hair that flew into her mouth.

"Those guys seem to be quite interested in you," Malia called out, making Sierra and Gabriella look up at her for more details.

"And what exactly are they saying about our Sierra?" Gabriella asked, interested in the subject about her friend.

Malia informed the girl the details, Sierra couldn't help but eavesdrop on the conversation about her, "He's getting the whole rundown of who Sierra McCall is."

"Interesting..." Gabriella mumbled, biting her lip.

Sierra observed the rest of the tryout, Scott and Stiles still failing miserably to catch up with the younger players. "Isn't the captain supposed to be one of the best players on the team? Or good?" Kira mentioned.

Scott threw his gear to the ground, frustrated at himself and Stiles for being below average. This year had some serious competition. Coach Bobby called out for the juniors, telling them that they would be covering the goal. Scott and Stiles grabbed their sticks, jogging toward the field, positioning themselves in front of the goal.

When it was Liam's turn, he managed to score past the boys. It was like he knew their every thought, their every move. Or maybe, he really was just that good. "That was luck!" Malia called out as she stood on her feet.

"Malia, sit down!" Sierra whispered, pulling her arm trying to get her to sit back down but Malia was a lot stronger than she looked as she smacked away the young girl's hand. Sierra looked out at the boys, her hands in the air signalling that she was their problem now.

Malia solemnly ignored the stares and whispers from her friends, asking for Coach to give the boys another chance. He shook his head, not accepting the challenge. But Malia didn't budge as she offered the man something he couldn't resist — money.

"Coach?" Sierra scolded the man as he willingly playing to Malia's gamble.

"Shut it, mini McCall," Coach yelled at her before telling Liam to head over to the front of the line. His feet dug into the grass, readying himself. Liam cocked a smirk toward the older boys but his confidence wouldn't last as long as he had hoped for. Clashing into the body of Scott McCall, the boy landing hard on his back.

Sierra's first instinct was to run toward the field. The girl always had such motherly instincts when it came to her friends and the people she wanted to protect, and for some reason, she had that feeling toward the young boy. Coach screamed everyone to back away from the boy. Sierra slide her frame in between Stiles and Scott, who had their eyes glued to the scene.

"What the hell, Scott! You promised me you wouldn't use your werewolf powers," Sierra scolded her older brother. Although Scott wanted to say something to ensure his sister that he kept his end of his promise, he stood there speechless watching Liam struggle to move.

"I'm okay, Coach. I'm all right," the boy attempted to move his leg, which only made him call out in serious pain. He whimpered to himself. When he picked himself back up, he became unbalanced, landing into the arms of Scott and Stiles.

"I think we better get him to the nurse," Stiles announced before helping Scott pick up the boy.

Sierra rushed in front of them, stopping them from moving any further into the school, "He needs a doctor, guys!" she exclaimed, pointing at the disoriented leg.

Scott and Stiles looked at one another before nodding, rushing the boy to Stiles' car. As the teenagers made a final decision on what they were going to do with Liam, a voiced called out making everyone turn their heads the way the voice came from.

Scott made his way to the voice which belonged to Kira. But when he came back, he didn't looked satisfied. Sierra stopped the boy with her hand on his chest, "You better walk back right now and kiss her," she pointed out looking at the standing figure from afar.

Stiles and Sierra helped Liam into Stiles' car with Sierra getting into the back with the boy she hadn't even properly met yet. She lifted his leg up onto her lap, hoping that it would help lessen the pain. She just remembered her mom always mentioning the leg needed to be elevated if broken, and Sierra didn't want to take the chance on the boy potentially having his leg broken the first day of tryouts.

"Are you okay, Liam?" Sierra asked as their eyes met.

"You... you know my name?" Liam stuttered. Somehow he was more focused on the beautiful girl in front of him, someone who he couldn't seem to take off his mind all day. He was trying to get to the bottom of who Sierra McCall was. It was like he had become infatuated with the brunette.

"Uh, we did attendance in history and you were the one who called out, yeah that's me," Sierra chuckled at the boy who seemed nervous to the touch.

The two kids conversed for the rest of the ride, getting to know each other. Every once in a while the boy would wince in pain, whether or not it was actually in pain. He just liked that the girl felt the need to look after him. After some time, Scott and Stiles caught onto what the blonde boy was doing and rolled their eyes so much that they sworn to each other that the moment Liam got back onto his feet, he was in for a little scaring.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital, another place McCall's pack frequented but also the place with Melissa McCall worked. Sierra walked into the hospital nervously, she looked around hoping she wouldn't run into her mom but she knew better than that. Melissa McCall appeared just as her daughter walked in, she smiled until she saw her son and his best friend carrying in an injured boy and then she gave them a concerning look.

"Hi, mom," Sierra waved at the woman with an awkward smile.

Melissa pulled out a wheelchair, taking Liam out of Scott and Stiles' hands and sitting him into the open seat. She told him how they were going to take good care of Liam before taking him away from the other teenagers but not before turning back and letting her son know that this will be a conversation they will have when she got home.

"I've got to get going. I promised Malia I'd help her study," Stiles mentioned.

"Good luck with that," Sierra said. Stiles shoved the girl into her older brother but it seemed that Scott had his mind elsewhere. Sierra took notice of her brother's stance. He was in his head, he has been since the death of Allison. Everything the pack did, small or big, Scott never thought it was enough. He wanted to save everybody — be the alpha he knew he was.

"Hey, I don't need to say that it wasn't your fault, right?" Stiles called out.

Scott shrugged at him, "I don't know."

"Scott, if you had used any wolf power, that kid wouldn't be limping — he'd be crawling back to the other half of his body!" Stiles addressed but Scott couldn't help think over and over again about how he could have played things out if he hadn't been so worried about captain.

Sierra stepped forward, her hand softly squeezing his arm, "It's okay to want something for yourself once in a while. Team captain, alpha werewolf... you're still only human and you're still the best brother anyone could have ever asked for," she consoled.

Her brother lifted his head, catching his sister's brown eyes. A small smile emerging onto his face, as he thought to himself how lucky he was to have people like Sierra and Stiles in his life, knowing that without them, he might as well have just been werewolf bait.
