THE WAR RAGED ON THROUGH THE CITIES OF ALABASTA ALL THANKS TO THE REBELS FIGHTING, and there was no way to stop it since it was already too late for anyone to hear the desperate voice of Princess Vivi.

All of the Straw Hats were currently split up into different groups to take down members of Baroque Works, as they were the main reason why the fighting was occurring from the start. But the news of their captains death had reached them all, and none of them believed it for a second.

Out in the desert near the edges of Alubarna, Chopper, Luffy and Usopp were in the middle of a fight with two of the Baroque Works members, one with a mole power and the other was incredible strong. Thanks to Luffy though, that one was struggling to stand back up, and so was he.

Chopper was beside him looking at the male worriedly, spotting all the blood dripping down his panting frown knelt on the sand not saying anything, his body all banged up just like how Usopp's
one also.

The reindeers attention was brought back to the snipper when he heard him getting smashed into a brick wall from the mole user, his doe eyes widening in fear for his friend and yells out his name, "Usopp! NO-"

Mr. 4 laughed amusedly touching his round stomach, holding onto a bat in his hands as he got ready to hit Usopp with it, prior to Miss Merry Christmas request. Just as the flailing figure of Usopp comes flying past, the male swings his weapon into the snipper causing Luffy and Chopper to yell his name out once more.

When Usopp landed onto the sand a massive explosion was brought up by it, his badly injured figure being hid by the sand. Luffy gritted his teeth in frustration, not being able to move his limbs from how weakened he was from the fight before this, and felt how his body was trembling.

It didn't help either when his mind was on his sister, his younger twin sister because of how they were told she had died by the hands of Crocodile. But he knew better to believe that coming from the enemy, and he hoped the two other males, and the rest of the crew understood that too.

Somewhere in the city the cook and swordsman was fighting their hardest against their opponent, their mind and thoughts also only on (Y/N). Both of them were desperate to finish it so they could go find her, and see for themselves if she was dead or not.

Zoro couldn't think straight when using his swords, nor could Sanji trying to use his legs to kick Mr. 2, but the devil fruit user would change into the face of his beloved making things much, much more difficult for him to attack.

Regardless of their fears, they both knew their captain wouldn't go out easily like that, and they truly believed she was just taking this time to gain her strength back. The two knew she wouldn't give up like that, and neither would Sanji and Zoro, not till they see her beaming smile flashed at them again.

Miss Merry Christmas and Mr. 4 both cackled loudly once they saw Usopp's figure disappear in the sand, and the mole fruit user turned to the other still laughing, "The weak are always weak, no matter what they do! Take that!"

Chopper glared at them both now in his other four running on all four hooves, Luffy being on his back gripping on weakly to rest as he needed to gain his energy back, but still had enough to seeth at the two in front near a rock.

"Oh, you two want to go at it? That's perfect." Miss Merry Christmas smirked wickedly, looking at the duo through her purple glasses over her eyes still being in the sand, "We'll send you into the next world, just like we did that cowardly punk with the nose!"

"Shut up! Usopp-" Chopper began in a exclaim, eyes becoming sharper staring down the enemy making fun of his friend, and he could feel how mad Luffy was on his back, "Usopp is no coward!"

No one said anything for a few seconds, the only sound being their fast heart beats or the sound of the wind rustling the sand around off the ground. However, Luffy and Chopper's eyes went wide hearing a familiar breathing sound, and span around to see who was standing in the fading dust.

Usopp's serious damaged figure was now standing back up like nothing happened, shocking the enemy who gasped spotting how he was still alive. His eyes were white from the being half conscious, blood dripping down his face from every part adding to his badass look.

"Like when.... like when his friend's dream is... laughed at." He began to talk in a slurred, but serious voice as the dust was disappearing, and he snapped his head to the enemy glaring furiously, "(Y/N).... isn't dead... She's gonna be... king of the pirates someday with Luffy..."

A memory of when they first met flashed in the snipper's mind, inside of it having (Y/N) doing her famous closed eye smiled at him, and declaring her shared dream with a grinning Luffy behind her. Both of them changing Usopp's life that day.

"I'm sure she will!"

Luffy's own eyes become a bit watery hearing how confident Usopp sounding, now realising how much the Snipper truly looked up to (Y/N) and him. He found himself smiling weakly in agreement, and pushed himself up to sit properly on Choppers back now.

"That's the one thing...." Usopp's voice as breaking a bit, him now getting a bit emotion as his eyes opened back up to his normal colour declaring, "...that's the one thing I won't let you laugh at!"

Miss Merry Christmas quietly seethed at the male who was supposed to be dead from the attacks, and shared a nod with Mr. 4, both getting ready to finish off the job. That was until Luffy slammed his stretch arm straight through the rock they were stationed next to, causing them both to exclaim alarmed at the sudden movement.

"So far being here, you've made two mistakes..." His voice was dangerously low compared to his normal loud one, eyes being covered by his straw hat as Chopper transformers into his bigger form beside him, Horn Point version.

Luffy brings back his rubber arm away from the rocks, and clenches his fist into the air, glaring into the souls of the two enemies yelling, "One, thinking you could take out one of my crewmates that easily.... And two, underestimating my sister! Like hell she'd be beaten by scum like you!"

THE TIMER WAS TIKING DOWN IN PALACE SQUARE UNTIL THE EXPLOSION WOULD GO OFF THAT WOULD DESTORY THE ENTIRE KINGDOM, with Vivi down on the lower level holding onto Happy in her arm as her eyes were filled with tears looking at what was happening before her.

Crocodile had her father, the king of Alabasta pinned to the palace walls behind him on the highest level, while Miss All-Sunday was beside his figure also. While Croco stood over the bleeding figure of Chaka, him having gotten injured from trying to stop the fighting which caused the Princess's tears

Crocodile had reveled his plan to those who were already around him, and it had Koza, the one whom thought the king turned his back on Alabasta realising his terrible mistake. He soon realised who the enemy was from the very beginning, and realised that this war was only ever going to end up with nothing left if he didn't do something.

Even with Vivi and Happy arriving up on the top platform, they were both overpowered easily. While the cat was trying to fight back against the hold, his white fluffy wings were pinned to the wall by the same ones holding the King, and on the other hand Vivi was getting choked by Crocodile.

"Wake up, Princess." He held her up in the air above the ground by her neck, causing her to make some strangled sounds and Happy to yell out in alarm, "I can't stand how annoying your idealistic theory is."

She tried to talk but it only came out as gargling noises, and she lifted up her hand to try and tug his off of her weakly, which didn't do much but make him tighten the hold around her neck in a threatening way.

"If you wanna talk about ideals, you have to be table to make them real." He rumbled to her, his blunt in between his teeth causing his words to come out muffled, "You're not qualified to do that. Nor was that Fox Girl brat, she was even worse then you with that."

A feral noise escaped Happy's bared teeth hearing him talk about his childhood best friend in a bad way, still trying to shove himself and push off the wall he was stuck on. This caught Miss All-Sunday's attention, who hummed quietly to herself interested in the bond the two shared.

Vivi also seethed angrily down at Crocodile not enjoying hearing that either, and felt her built up emotions spilling out of her in tears, "I don't care if it's annoying." She strained determinedly, "I won't give up on my ideals, either! You could never understand! I'm the princess of this country. I won't give in to someone like you!"

Croco narrowed his lidded eyes down on her, jaw clenching a bit irritated as he felt her trying to claw him now with her nails, "You really have no charm..." He mumbled more so to himself, but the she still heard it loud and clear.

"I won't give up... I will..." She trailed off feeling her throat getting more tighter, and it becoming harder to breath in air from his hand choking her, as she declare tearfully, "I will save this country!"

He simply chuckled his normal drawled out one, giving the princess an amused smirk, "Fifteen minutes until the Square is blown up." He remined her struggling form in his grasp, "More and more of the auxiliary rebel forces will gather here. One after another, all without realising their own fate..."

When he lifted Vivi off over the edge of the roof where the fighting was down below, it caused Happy to yell once more, "STOP! Let her go, you ugly Alligator-" He thrashed around, ignoring the blood he felt coming from his wings getting ripped on the sides from the pins, as he needed to get free to help Vivi.

Crocodile ignored the cats threats behind him, and instead focused on Vivi who was dangling over the side in the air, his hand around her neck being the only thing holding her, "Had you let the Royal Army know earlier about the explosion on the Square, even if there had been a panic, you could've saved thousands or tens of thousands of lives."

"Stop! Please stop it, Crocodile!" Her father, the king exclaims in fear of watching his daughter fell to her death, also unable to do anything since he was pinned by the wrists to the brick walls to watch helplessly.

Once more the said male completely ignored the pleads, and smirked more widely at Vivi knowing he literally had her life in his hand, "In the end, your optimistic ideals about saving everything have resulted in the deaths of all the citizens you love so much. You did a find job of spying on our company for the past two years."

Vivi thought about Toto, the old man from her childhood who they left behind back in one of the cities to dig for water, making more tears well up in her eyes and run down the sides of her cheeks.

Crocodile makes a sound of delight watching her tears because of what he said, and continued on his taunting, "But when all is said and done, you guys couldn't stop anything. Stopping the rebellion... saving the kingdom... Your worthless ideals only created more unnecessary victims. You can't save this country. Goodbye, Princess..."

Just as he finished his talking, the hand around her neck had melt into sand causing Vivi to gasp and try to grab onto it, but failed realising it was no longer solid. Her stomach dropped as she began to fall off the roof, hearing Happy and her father scream out while Crocodile cackles in satisfaction.

Her eyes fluttered shut causing the tears to splash into the air, accepting her fate that she was going to die by the hands of the male she wanted to kill herself. His laughter gets louder the more she falls, and she can only pray someone will save her from this end.

Vivi's prayers were answered when something, or rather two figures up in the sky suddenly appeared out of nowhere. And when they did come into view, it caused, Happy, Vivi and Crocodile's eyes to go wide seeing who it was.

Perched up on Pell's eagle form was Monkey D. (Y/N) in all her glory, no longer injured nor on the brink of death. She was stripped down to her underlayer of her clothes, the familiar straw hat on her head and had a barrel of water around her back, holding onto the sides of Pell's back for grip as he flew them downwards.

"It can't be...." Croco muttered to himself in shock, his pupils dilating realising who it was that somehow came back from death, and he was so sure that she was on the road. But he completely missed how his so called partner, Miss All-Sunday was smiling a little when she spotted (Y/N) all healed.

Her famous loud carefree laugh rang around the area, followed by furious her yelling, "Crocodile!" She stood up on Pell's back, face set in a glare staring at the male whom she spoke of as her eyes caught onto Happy's and Vivi's condition, and what was happening to them.

"(Y/N)!" Happy and Vivi both cried out in happiness realising that she was alive, and here to save them. Both their eyes fill up with tears, while Vivi's lips turned into a wide smile despite her still falling down closer to the bottom floor.

Pell directed their flying towards where the princess was in the air, causing the Monkey D. girl to sit back down with her legs on either side of his back, getting ready to catch the other girl before anything bad happened.

Before she could even touch the ground where all the fighting was happening, Pell swooped down underneath Vivi and (Y/N) safely caught her smaller figure in her arms. Once she was in them Pell flew back up more into the air.

At the same time, (Y/N) had used a water slice to cut down Happy's binds which set him free, and he didn't think twice before flying quickly off towards where the others were, despite how sore his wings felt. It was also very hard to see through his relived tears, glad his best friend wasn't dead like Crocodile said.

Vivi pushed her face into the side of the other girls neck, arms wrapped around her shoulders, and legs off to the side where Happy was flying along side them. Her tears wouldn't stop flowing also, both exhausted and relived the girl was alive and came to safe them both.

"Just in time..." (Y/N) muttered against the top of Vivi's head in a sigh. her arms around the princess's back to hold her close to her chest on Pell, and shot a wide smile at Happy who cried dramatically even more seeing the look.

Vivi's bottom lip trembled crunching up the material of the girls shirt in her knuckles, and moved her face into her chest instead now, "There isn't much time left before the Square is blown up..." She cried out as they flew over the town all fighting, "Everyone... is already down. My voice no longer reaches anyone... At this rate, the country will-"

"Don't worry." She heard the soft voice of (Y/N) suddenly speak, causing Vivi to pull back to look up at her face and saw the calm, reassuring expression she had on, "Your voice is heard by us."

More tears appeared in her eyes, but this time it was happy ones that were wiped away by (Y/N)'s fingers, "Yes!" The princess nodded in agreement, and pushed her face back into the other girls chest, closing her eyes and melted into the warmth while it lasted.

"Yeah! You've got your back, Vivi!" The blue Exceed chirped in agreement, grinning with his teeth at the princess as he hopped onto Pell when he directed his flying more to the ground, and landed on (Y/N)'s shoulders who patted his head.

While they were landing the rest of the Straw Hat crew were starting to make their way to the Square slowly, all pushing through their wounds and such wanting to know if the girl was alive or not, even if they strongly believed she wasn't. At least not yet. It didn't help Zoro however when he had to carry Nami also, and it made him even more slower.

Pell came to a stop on the sand with a powerful flap of his wings, as the trio hopped off his back and he stood on his two legs still in his eagle form, watching Happy smothering the giggling (Y/N) in nuzzles and hugs while crying dramatically once more.

She gently placed the sniffling Happy next to Vivi on the ground, before turning her gaze up to the roof where she knew Crocodile was lurking. And because of that, she began to stretch her limbs out, knowing she was about to fight him for a second time, and this time she wouldn't lose so easily.

"Be careful.... (Y/N)." Pell's worried tone reached her ears as she was cracking her neck, and bending her knees to stretch he legs out outwards from her, feeling the three behind watching her warm up closely.

She shot them a thumbs up without even looking back, now bending down to loosen up her leg muscles and chuckled a bit now feeling her blood pumping more, "I ate lots of meat and got heaps of rest, so I got tones of blood. Don't worry about it."

Once she was finished with her last limb stretch, she slowly stood up making her straw hat and hair fall back into place. Her face was covered by the brim until she glanced up, and made instant eye contact with Crocodile on the roof, seeing him already watching her intently.

"I won't...." She began to declare in a confident tone, lips in a broad smirk as her fiery gaze glares into his own staring down at her, "...lose again!"
