"i just don't understand where the baby doll came from..."

"give it to vinnie and amara real quick, they should get their practice in n—"

chris is cut off by amara's loud and dramatic gasping, followed by her lunging off her spot on the L-shaped couch to reach him and land a slap on his arm. the group bursts into laughter as vinnie chuckles underneath his breath and reaches forward to pull amara back down. "christopher sturniolo, i swear to—"

chris ignores amara starting to speak and focuses more so on vinnie calmly getting her situated in her place previously resided beside him. "yeah, tame her," he says, just loving to see amara all worked up.

"EXCUSE ME?" amara's gasping yet again, but this time when she attempts to lunge at him, vinnie still has a hold on her so he keeps her in place to refrain her from moving. she doesn't fight him, and instead fiercely glares at chris as she huffs and relaxes her shoulders. "when i get my hands on you, chris..."

"uh huh," he doesn't even take her seriously, instead taking the baby doll in his hands and passing it to nick next to him. "here, pass the doll to amara."

nick gives him a weird ass look, but does what he asked and passes it to chase next to him. chase pauses for a moment and turns to amara. "just so you know," he starts, passing the doll to matt next to him. "i brought it as a gift to you and vinnie."

amara simply presses her lips together as vinnie chuckles. "aw," he says sarcastically as the baby finally reaches them, due to matt passing it to amara. "thanks, chase."

"no problem, brochacho."

amara glances over the rough-looking baby doll, adjusting it in her hands so that it is facing her. she then looks over to vinnie, finding amusement on his face as he watches her with the doll. she fixes the small amount of hair it has as vinnie rests his arm over her shoulders. she leans back into him and turns the doll to face him. "his name will be timothee." she grins.

vinnie's eyebrows raise and larray voices his inner thoughts from his spot on the floor against the couch next to nailea, "you did not just name yours and vinnie's love child after your celebrity crush, you thirsty ass—"

he's interrupted by a kick in the back and a tight-lipped smile from amara as the triplets all laugh. "shut up!"

"BITCH!" he groans, turning around to look at her offensively. "that hurt."

"good," she only hums.

he rolls his eyes at her before huffing. "can i at least see the baby?"

"woah, excuse me," vinnie butts in before amara is given a chance to answer, narrowing his eyes at larray who raises his eyebrows. "before he's even gotten to meet his dad, you sicko?"

amara giggles at vinnie taking the joke as seriously as she is, and he can't resist his grin at the pleasant sound. the group laughs as larray crosses his arms over his chest and leans back against the couch once more. "go ahead."

vinnie then turns his head to look at amara expectantly, and the group watches them as amara continues to hold the baby doll for just a lingering moment. "'kay, here's your daddy," she tells the inanimate object, vinnie grinning a little too widely as chris and chase share a glance and chuckle.

vinnie graciously takes the doll from her hands as she passes it to him, using the opportunity to lean it and whisper, "did you really name our child after timothee chalamet?"

amara only tilts her head at him, her unchanging grin not faltering. "yes i did, baby, yes i did," she whispers back.

vinnie sucks in a breath and presses his lips together, leaning back and deciding to focus on the baby doll in his hands rather than a now chuckling amara next to him. his attention is cast elsewhere quickly though, as troy on the other side pats his shoulder. "how does it feel knowing you'll always be second best?"

vinnie sarcastically smiles at his friend. "gotta love it."

the friend group remains amused by the constant bickering as they laugh amongst themselves, but attention is drawn to nicole on the other side of troy when she speaks up. "you know..." she starts, "this is kind of giving like, when my parents split up while i was in middle school just to get back together by my freshman year."

a few beats of silence follow her words until everyone bursts out laughing. "oh!" nick pipes in through laughter, "that's an.. interesting one, nicole!"

she covers her face with her hands, and nailea comes to her defense from her place on the floor. "no, but i kind of like it," she exclaims, eyes jumping to her. "like the group dynamic is just.. better."

"okay real," chase agrees, then looking to amara and vinnie and smirking slightly before he says, "vamara makes the friend group stronger, aw."

"chase!" amara quickly scolds him, hidden amusement clear in her features as she chastises him, "enough with the vamara shit!"

"no, i fuck with it," matt laughs, earning a fist bump from chase as amara only shakes her head.

"well," vinnie sighs, glancing around the group and cheesing like an idiot. "thanks guys," he says.

chris clearly has a response brewing in his head before he speaks, because a shit-eating grin is already on his face when he replies, "no problem, dad."
