THIRTEEN
The witches were standing in a court guard, all holding black umbrellas in their hands. Myrtle's albino 'man-servants' were tieing up Ariel, Baldwin and Mead against stakes. Pandora's eye welled with tears as she watched Baldwin struggle against the ropes. For the short time that they knew each other, Pandora felt as if Baldwin was the father figure she always wanted. But the fact that Baldwin only wished to get rid of her along with the rest of the witches tore Pandora apart.
"Ariel Augustus. Baldwin Pennypacker. For the murder of your fellow warlock, John Henry Moore, and conspiring to commit treason against this coven, I, Cordelia Goode, on behalf of this council, sentence you to death by fire. Our people have long stood by an agreement that no witch may kill a condemned warlock. Only your brother may light the flame. I do not intend to break with that tradition today," Cordelia spoke to the two tied-up men.
Ariel and Baldwin furrowed their eyebrows at Cordelia's word, but their eyes suddenly widened as they watched John Henry emerged from the back of the group and walk towards the stakes. The dark haired man grabbed a tank of gasoline from one of the servants and proceeded to pour the contents on the two men first, then did the same to Mead.
"Any last words?" John Henry asked Mead, as she was the only one whose mouth was not sealed shut.
"You think death is a punishment? I do not fear the fire. It cleanses me, as it will cleanse this world. I've seen the end. I bear witness to the darkness. Father! Take me in your arms. Your kingdom is nigh!" Miriam Mead shouted with a laugh. John raised his hand. He twisted his wrist, causing large orange flames to engulf the three people.

Cordelia and Pandora stayed behind, knowing Michael would come and find his allies.
Pandora watched with glossy eyes as Michael screamed and cried as he examined the burned corpses of his friends. Cordelia beckoned Pandora to follow her to walk towards Michael's fragile state.
"It's over. We know who you are. Your allies are all dead. You failed," Cordelia spoke, startling Michael. The boy spun around with tear-stained cheeks. His eyes land on Pandora's sympathetic eyes, and immediately perks up.
"I've already proven to you that I can defy death. I'm just gonna bring her back. And when I do, my Ms Mead will stand by me as we watch you die," Michael's voice broke as he glanced back to the crispy corpse of his guardian.
"You can certainly go to Hell, but you won't find her there," Cordelia stated. "Her soul is hidden by a spell only I can break. You'll never see her again. You're alone," Michael's leg couldn't hold his weight any longer as he heard the news so he fell to his knees.
Michael's eyes twitched in Pandora's direction to see her smiling down at him before directing his gaze back to the blonde woman before him. "I'm never alone. I have my father."
"You don't have to follow this path your father laid out for you," Pandora place her hand on his shoulder. Michael's damp eyes stared up at the girl above him as she raised her thumb to rub away the stray tears. He stood up and stepped closer into the girl's touch.
"There's humanity in you. I see it. If you come with us, maybe we can find it. Together," Cordelia spoke, stepping to Pandora's side. The younger woman lowered her hand from Michael's face, much to his dismay. His eyes shot towards Cordelia with hidden anger.
Michael stepped away from Pandora and moved to stand in front of Cordelia. "Somehow, some way, I am gonna bring her back. And then I'm gonna kill every last one of you." And with that, Michael turned and began to leave. Cordelia did the same in the opposite direction, leaving the brunette standing still between them. Cordelia disappeared from sight, but Michael was still in her eyesight.
So in complete instinct, Pandora dropped her umbrella and ran in the same direction that Michael left in.
"Michael!" The girl shouted once she was close enough to see the sunlight bounce off of his golden hair. The boy turned around and smiled to see the girl he was falling in love with chasing after him. Pandora stopped in front of him with a breathless grin.
"Why are you following me instead of Cordelia?" Michael asked as he placed his warm palm against Pandora's cheek. "Shouldn't you protect your coven?" Michael continued to ask with a smirk.
"I'm not about to give up a chance to see you again. I did say we would, didn't I?" Pandora whispered as she closed her eyes at Michael's touch. "Plus it looks like you could do with some company."
Michael smiled as a single tear slid from his eyes. The boy didn't say anything, he just fell into Pandora's open arms. "Thank you, Dora. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"I'm here. I'll always be with you."
----------
- 4 DAYS LATER -
It had been 4 days since Michael led Pandora into the woods, and they hadn't left. They were both lying in the middle of a pentagram that Michael carved into the dirt. Pandora was asleep, curling up into Michael's side. They were both hungry, thirsty and exhausted - practically on the verge of death - and it killed Michael, even more, knowing he was the one that brought this ill-treatment to the beautiful witch that abandoned her coven for him.
Michael sadly smiled down at the sleeping figure of Pandora who shuddered closer to his chest. His eyes shot away from her figure as he heard a child's voice. There was a little girl dressed in white standing above the couple, telling Michael that she was afraid. Michael shook his head, whispering that she wasn't real, trying not to wake Pandora up from her slumber.
"You're hungry. You need nourishment," The hallucination of a girl said, holding out a red apple from her basket. "Take an apple. It's so juicy. It's so juicy."
"I have to talk to my father."
"You left me to die. To burn. To burn," The familiar voice of Miriam rang through Michael's ears. He directed to his attention to the ditch, where Ms Mead was sat on a white bed, staring at the boy.
"You're not real. None of this is real," The boy began to cry.
"Come to the light," Another hallucination - of a man this time - said.
"Leave me alone." Michael cried in exhaustion.
"Why would you do this to Pandora? To the girl you supposedly love? She's worse than you - she left the only thing she could call a family behind for a boy she knew for two weeks. She doesn't love you, you manipulated her," The man continued to push Michael's buttons. Michael's eyes grew darker as he reached his hand towards the man's neck, squeezing but the man seemed unfazed.
The sudden movement caused Pandora to stir against his shoulder. The girl peeled her eyes open and saw Michael's panicked and terrified expression and sat up. Pandora placed her hands around his neck, pulling him into her embrace, which he gladly fell into, snaking his arms tightly around the small of her back. "What happened, dear?"
Michael sighed in relief at the sound of her voice, at the small pet-name she gave to him, at her cold, yet welcoming touch. "I think I'm going insane, darling."
Pandora pulled away and patted his wild curls down, attempting to tame them slightly but failing. This caused her to quietly chuckle at his mad hair. "Even if you are going insane, you sure make it look good."
Michael smiled at the girl teasing and pressed his lips on her temple. "I'm so glad I have you, I would have lost the will to live."
"As would I, Michael," The girl brought her face closer to his. "As would I," She repeated in a whispered tone before pressing her lips against his. Michael sighed into the kiss, as his grip around her waist tightened. He pulled her so she was settled on his lap, straddling his crotch. The young witch's hands loosely wrapped themselves with the golden tresses on his head. The kiss grew more heated as Michael pushed his hips up to meet her's as his lips travelled down to her jaw and neck. Pandora threw her head back with a moan as she felt Michael suck on the tender skin of her collarbone.
Pandora began tugging at Michael's long, red ascot when a loud bleat from a goat caught both of their attention. The couple both looked over Michael's shoulder to see a small black goat standing just outside the pentagram they were sitting in. Michael quietly asked the creature if it was his father, receiving another bleat as an answer. Michael almost threw Pandora off of him and scrambled to the goat in distress. He grabbed a rock and began to beat the goat's head with the large stone, and ripped the horns out of its head. Pandora sat stunned at Michael's sudden actions.
Michael turned back to Pandora and held out his hand to her. "Come on, Dora, it's time to go."
