My name is Love Lee. I was bitten by a radioactive spider and for the last three years I've been New York's one and only Silk. Spider-woman just seemed over played, y'a know?

I think you know the rest. I managed to be top of my class. Saved a bunch of people. Couldn't save my Aunt Mae. So now I focus on saving everyone else. Pursued my career in art, joined a med program, and finally worked up the courage to talk to the pretty guy at the coffee shop.

One day this weird portal opened, threw me into a new dimension where I met them. Miles and Gwen. Miles was new to all this, to be honest I didn't think he was meant to ever be Spiderman but he made it work. Gwen was all I wanted in a friend. But we saved Miles's universe and saving his world meant leaving it as well.

๐‹๐Ž๐•๐„ ๐๐‘๐”๐’๐‡๐„๐ƒ ๐‡๐„๐‘ hair out of her face, sure tying it up would be more efficient but Mae always liked her hair down, and when painting someone who wasn't here it was best to try and channel their energy as much as you could. At least that's what she believed. Blowing an exasperated huff through her soft pink lips, Love squinted at the canvas in front of her. "You know I can't remember her smile." she commented into the empty abyss of her uncle's penthouse.

Well, it wasn't entirely empty. Her birman, Rosemary was somewhere around here. Love sighed, her half finished painting stared back at her in disappointment. Shaking her head she began to clean up her paint supplies as the ping signaling the elevator doors opening sounded through the penthouse.

"I got sushi for us and bluefin tuna for Rosemary." A deep voice echoed through the penthouse, Love smiled as she placed all her supplies back into their correct box and draped a soft cloth gently over her unfinished masterpiece.

As she walked into the kitchen her Uncle Benjamin smiled in her direction, "You finish that painting gongjunim?" Love shook her head. "I will eventually don't worry." Benjamin nodded sliding her a shrimp tempura roll. Love slid into a barstool next to her uncle as the two ate in a comfortable silence "So did you see Silk on the news?" Benjamin asked slowly in between bites of his edamame, attempting to make conversation. Love was used to this, Mae was obsessed with the idea of catching Silk, she dedicated her entire time as captain of the NYPD to catching her. Any little reminder of Mae brought Ben some form of comfort, including staring into Love's eyes. Despite how creepy it may seem their eyes both held a sense of warmth within them.

Love shook her head, "don't like to get caught up in politics y'a know?" Ben nodded in agreement. "Do you mind if I got eat this in my room?" Ben solemnly shook his head. I have to head out to a business banquet anyways. Don't stay up too late alright gongjunim?" Love smiled kissing his cheek.

"No promises."

๐‹๐Ž๐•๐„ ๐๐„๐•๐„๐‘ ๐€๐’๐Š๐„๐ƒ to be Spider-Man. She got bit, when out smoking with her friend Peter. Smoking at 12, her lungs were practically begging for help. But everyone has different ways of coping with their parents deaths and this was hers and Peter's. The only reason she even assumed the mantle was because ignoring her powers got him killed. There was a lot of vilains but not a lot of heroes, there was no one to talk to about this until she met her.

She remembered when she first met Gwen.

It was a strange experience for her, not just because she had been unexpectedly launched into the wrong universe against her will along with five other spider people. But because it was the first time Love had ever questioned who she was.

Was she just a variant of someone else? Was everything she was experiencing unoriginal? Who even was she? Why was the emo blonde girl kind of attractive?

It wasn't like Love liked girls, she just had the ability to admire pretty people. She just really enjoyed having someone who could understand her on a more personal level. Love could easily ignore Gwen's soft blue eyes piercing into her soul, studying her facial features over and over again. Her tall stature looming over her, holding her close and reassuring her. Reminding her she wasn't in this alone. Because all it was was platonic comfort. Because Love Lee did not like girls. She liked comfort and mutual understanding. All the virtues of a great friendship.

And sure she longed to see her again but it was mostly because she needed that comfort.

Now more than ever.

Love was thrown against the wall again, she grabbed her headed in pain as the villain in front of her glitched out. "You're definitely not from here." she stated. "What gave it away?" he remarked rolling his eyes. "I don't really appreciate the snark you're giving me here sir. So let's wrap this up." Shooting him with her webs so pinned the green monster to the wall. She slowly began to approach him. "Do you know how you got here?" The monster snarled at her. "No need to be nasty" she remarked.

"So I'm assuming you don't know how to get you back home either." The creature lunged at her and she took a step back. "Easy."

Love stood there analyzing the creature. "Ok so I guess you live here now. Welcome to New York I guess. The police will deal with y-" A bright yellow glow shined onto her fair skin. When she turned to look at the source a tall broad man. "Back away from the anomaly" his smooth voice spoke to her. Love almost melted on the spot before snapping back to reality. "I'm sorry who are you?" "Isn't it obvious?" "No. That's why I asked." "I'm spiderman, I'm from another dimension. I know you've been to one. Love Lee." Love stepped back in shock before tearing off her mask, her soft ebony hair slipping out and falling to frame her face. "You're defeating the whole point of a secret identity. Why don't you tell me who you are? Make it even" "I don't have to do that." "But you can, because it would be kind and fair and make me a little more reassured about the 8 foot man who came out of a magic portal and randomly knows my name."

The man groaned, ripping off his own mask. "My name is Miguel O'Hara. I too am spiderman and I need to take this anomaly back to its dimension where it belongs." He captured the creature in a strange cube to which it thrashed about, hissing and growling at her. "We will both be out of your hair shortly." "Hey wait!" Love called after him as the man slung the creature over it's solider and headed towards the 'portal' once again.

"That bracelet you have on, it can take you to other dimensions?" Miguel looked her up and down skeptically, "Bracelet is not the proper term but I suppose so." Love stared at him as if contemplating her next move. The two stood their for a while, looking each other up and down as if trying to figure out who and what each other were. "What do I have to do to get one?"

Miguel's eyes pierced into hers. "You did take out the anomaly all on your own." "Still don't know what that is-" "I'll tell you what." Miguel threw her a wristband. "If you want to help the greater good, put this on and follow me."

Love studded the blue band in her hand. "Does helping the greater good also include me getting that bracelet." "Possibly." "Lead the way Mr. O'Hara."

LOVE SPEAKS!
