Chapter 41 * Bad Frank *
The Wizard found us then but we walked up and met him boldly. Neither of us were afraid of him.
"It was you," he said to my sister, obviously referring to the Stone Giants.
Oh, yes, I'd heard about that, too. My twin had been busy.
"You didn't think it was you, did you?" Dorothy smirked at him, stepping closer.
"How?"
"Naharra. Isn't that why you kept her locked up? So you could use her magic when you needed it?"
"I had leverage over her. Her village. What do you have?" he shot back.
Dorothy was silent a moment before answering.
"I told her I could save Oz, I could stop the war," she told him, shrugging.
"So you didn't do what you were supposed to do up North? Kill Glinda..." he said.
"Do you even think I could?" Dorothy threw back at him.
"Or did you just send her there cause you thought she'd never come back?" I challenged him.
"I sent her there to save Oz! Because I swore to protect this world! And I will protect it! And I WILL send you two home!" he shouted at us, "But Dorothy, you have to keep up your end of the deal. Stopping Glinda!"
"I promised you I'd stop a war. And that's exactly what I intend to do. That's why I raised the giant," she shot back.
"Well, then you'll march North. You'll plant your Eternal Warrior in front of Glinda's castle. She'll have no choice but to surrender," he insisted.
"And if she doesn't surrender?" I questioned him, arching an eyebrow.
He glared at me but before the Wizard had a chance to answer, the sound of horse hooves interrupted us. Turning around, we saw his guards passing each other guns.
"What have you done?" Dorothy asked in disbelief as she watched.
"It wasn't me. You gave me an idea. Your prototype!" the Wizard shrugged.
"Well, I didn't mean for you to build an arsenal!" she shouted back.
"How else was I supposed to win the war?!"
"You cannot kill those girls!"
"Kill?!" I asked and then turned on the Wizard, "Who are you killing, Frank?""
He cringed at the name, not saying a word.
"He intends to kill the witches," Dorothy informed me.
I shrugged, not seeing the harm. My twin grumbled at my obvious sociopathism.
"He intends to kill witch girls! Little kids, Dawn!" she reiterated.
My mouth fell open slightly at the Wizard.
"You'd kill children?" I asked in disbelief.
"They're not children! They're the Beast Forever!" he sniffed, turning away.
"They're just doing what Glinda tells them to do!" Dorothy tried to convince him.
"I'll shoot them right out of the sky!" he roared.
