thirty six: basketball tournament
Match 21st, 1986
Beth stepped out the Harrington boy's car slamming the door.
"Hey!" Robin called out to one of her band mates. "Wait up!"
"Bethany!"
"Sorry dude." She smirked, putting her Walkman in her backpack.
"Have a good day." Her brother exclaimed. "Don't fool around with Max." He said making Beth roll her eyes.
She flipped him off before walking inside the school. Brandon climbed to the passenger seat saying, "I hate her. She always flips me off." Steve just chuckled at his statement before driving off.
Beth walked closer to the school as she clutched onto her bag strap. She never liked the school environment, especially now that she was in high school. Although, she had an amazing guidance counselor named Ms. Kelley to help her with her anxiety and ADHD.
However, no one knew she was seeing Ms. Kelley except for her mother and father. She wanted to keep it that way because she didn't want people think she had issues.
As Beth walked into the school she pushed past students trying to get to the gym when she heard a female voice, "Beth! Beth!"
Beth turned around to see her girlfriend Max Mayfield walking towards her. The brunette smiled brightly when she saw the redhead approaching.
"Max! Hi!" Beth greeted with a smile.
"Hi." Max said before giving Beth a kiss on the cheek. The two never cared what people said about them. Beth had some friends who knew about her sexuality and were okay with it. Although Beth always said not to do kisses on the lips as she was afraid what people would say.
"I just wanted to say good luck at the pep rally today." Max smiled and Beth smiled back.
"Thanks. I'm gonna need that luck." She chuckled before noticing Max frowning a bit.
"Are you okay?" She asked and the redhead nodded.
"Yeah, just thinking. I'll see you at the rally." Max replied before blowing her a kiss goodbye. She walked off and Beth waved slightly.
She shrugged it off before walking to the gym. As she entered the gym she saw Chrissy directing the team.
"Chrissy!" Beth yelled running across the gym floor.
"Beth!" She exclaimed hugging her. "God, I'm so glad you're here."
"Sorry, I'm late. Had a rough morning." Beth explained with a smile. "Are they ready or what?"
"Nope. Not at all." Chrissy frowned. "I'm their captain and they don't even listen."
"It's alright, let me see what I can do." She smiled walking up the girls. "All right! Listen up ladies!"
"I don't know why any of you don't want to show Chrissy respect even though she's your team captain." Beth walked down the line of girls who all shut up once she called them. "I don't want any excuses, but I promise all of you that when we come back from spring break, every single one of you will regret everything. In the mean time though, get your act together, lock your arms, smile like you're in love with your fucking boyfriends, and don't make us a laughing stock!"
The girls all nodded as Beth stared at them in anger. "Now go warm up idiots."
They spread out leaving Beth and Chrissy together. "How do you do it?"
"Let's just say you gotta talk to them like you're talking to a child. Be stern." The brunette said as she started to stretch.
Chrissy smiled at her, "I'll give that a shot."
Beth smiled at the girl as they both walked to the bleachers together.
€€€€€€€€€€€€
Ally walked through the halls with her headphones on her ears, listening to music on her Walkman.
She didn't want to go to the stupid pep rally. It was just going to be stupid basketball players and dumb cheerleaders (minus Beth). All that was never really her thing. She was more into comics, board games, and video games. That was one of the reasons she joined Hellfire Club with Dustin, Lucas, and Mike. Also the fact that the boys practically begged her when they saw her play a round of D&D with them and led them to victory.
Ally wore her Hellfire Club shirt and some blue jeans with white sneakers. She clutched on to her bag strap as she walked into the gym looking for a place on the bleachers. The sight of her curly haired friend caught her eye and she sighed before she walked past some people in the bleachers.
When she finally got to her friends the cheerleaders performance was going on with marching band playing. She had stood between Max and Mike, before taking off her headphones. Mike and Dustin had been talking about how their girlfriends were better than each other's.
"And yet you still have a C in Spanish."
"That couldn't be me. I'm the top student in my Math class." Ally grinned.
"Yeah, yeah. No need to brag." Mike rolled his eyes making Ally laugh.
"And let's hear it for your Tigers!" The announcer's voice boomed.
The room burst into cheers and applause as the basketball team ran through the sign that was being held up. Beth stood next to Chrissy as she saw Lucas jogging through while adjusting his pants. She let out a cheer when she saw him while shaking her pom poms.
The team captain had been leading them and was given the microphone. His name was Jason Carver and Beth knew him well. He was Chrissy's boyfriend so they became close friends. He also knew about her sexuality and was one of the friends she had that accepted her.
"Good morning, Hawkins High!" He greeted.
The audience cheered for him.
"First off, hey." He managed to get everyone quiet. "First off, I'd like to thank each and every one of you. Without your support, we wouldn't be here. Give yourselves a big hand."
Everyone began to clap and shout as Ally rolled her eyes. Lucas spotted her in the bleachers and gave a wave to her and she just nodded her head towards him. That made him frown. Ally and Lucas had been distant lately but no one knew why. One day she was crushing on him and the next she wasn't.
"And of course, of course, I have to give a special shout-out to the best and the prettiest fans of all time, the tiger cheer squad." Jason grinned.
"Yeah!"
"Chrissy...Chrissy, I love you babe." Jason gushed.
Beth nudged the girl lightly making her laugh before she blew a kiss to her boyfriend. The crowd 'awed' and gushed over Jason's affection.
"You know I think I can speak for all of us when I say it's been a tough year for Hawkins." Jason walked backwards, his tone going serious. "So much loss, and sometimes I wonder how much loss can one community take?"
The boy broke into an emotional speech making Ally shift slightly. She looked at Max who looked down.
"In dark days like this, we need something to believe in. So, last night, when we were down by ten points at half to Christian Academy, I looked at my team, and I said, think of Jack, think of Melissa. Think of Heather. Think of Billy."
Beth looked up at the bleachers for the redhead girl and frowned when she saw the girl looking down. She also saw her other friend next to her placing her hand on the redhead's shoulder.
"We embarrassed those candy asses in their own house, and now tonight, tonight, we're gonna bring home the championship trophy!" Jason yelled, hyping up the people in the stands and his team. "Let's go!"
"Oh no." Ally muttered.
"Tonight?" Mike looked shocked.
"How is that possible?" Dustin added.
Max leaned over Ally to inform them, "They call it a tournament. You win one game, you go on until there's only one team left." She explained.
The boy's face dropped knowing that was going to be a problem.
"Eddie is gonna murder us." Ally mumbled.
"Definitely."
€€€€€€€€€€€€
"I understand what you're currently going through. Having your family back together after your dad went on his business trip, and your brother not having much time with you since he's working now. And I mean it must be hard having to deal with the occurrence at the mall last year. But what happened to Max's step brother Billy, it wasn't your fault. That fire was nobody's fault." Miss Kelley explained and Beth frowned.
She was about twelve minutes into her session and Beth didn't enjoy a second. They had been talking about the same thing they did every session and Beth hated it.
"I know." Beth shifted in her seat with a sigh. "But I just wish I could be there for Max more and be able to spend more time with her."
"Max is a very closed girl." Miss Kelley said.
"I know, but she isn't with me. She really trusts me." Beth replied.
"She is your best friend, right?"
Beth sighed, "Uh...yeah. She is."
"Look Beth, I know you think Max needs you all the time but sometimes people just need to be alone. Max is one of them and all this stress dealing with her is not going to help with your anxiety. It's just going to make it worse." Miss Kelley explained.
"I know." Beth muttered.
"So, look do me a favor. During spring break, try to focus on yourself more. Yes, you can spend time with Max but please do something for yourself for once, okay?" Miss Kelley said.
"Okay." Beth muttered.
"You can go now. Have a nice break, Beth." She smiled.
Beth got up grabbing her bag and smiled back, "You too." She then walked out the door passing by Chrissy who was about to enter the office.
She sent a small smile and Chrissy sent one back. Beth walked through the halls passing by people as she walked to the lunch room. She was stopped when a familiar voice called her.
"Beth!" She turned to see Lucas and a smile formed on her face.
"Lucas hi." She said and the boy walked up to her.
"Can I ask you something?" He asked and she nodded.
"Could you maybe convince Ally to come to the tournament? I tried asking her but she just wouldn't listen." Lucas explained.
Beth sighed. "Look Lucas. I understand how much this tournament means to you and it means a lot to me too. But Ally is a free to make her own choices."
"I know but it would make me very happy if she was there to support me." Lucas added and Beth nodded.
"I know. I know. Look, I'll talk to her but I'm not saying I can convince her but I'll try. I do have to talk to Max about it too anyway." Beth told him and he smiled.
"Thanks Beth. I appreciate it." Lucas said before walking off. Beth then walked into the lunch room.
€€€€€€€€€€€€
"I think Ally should tell him. He likes her more." Mike shrugged, bringing up the statement he said many times before.
The trio of friends had collected their lunch trays and were on their way to break the suicidal news.
"For the 100th time Mike, I'm not doing it." Ally exclaimed. "And he doesn't like me more, he just can't find a single thing to make fun of me with."
"I mean she's kinda right." Dustin nodded.
"Mike, how about you just tell him? Make it easier on ourselves since you won't even be here tomorrow for him to be mad at you still..." Ally spoke.
"Al, I'm not doing that." Mike replied.
"Shit, he really seems revved up today." Dustin stopped walking, forcing the two to stop as well. They saw the older boy holding a magazine, laughing maniacally.
"He's always revved up." Mike reminded. "We'll just act casual."
"Right casual." Ally agreed.
"Casual."
"Right, okay."
"Totally."
"We can do this."
"Society has to blame something." Gareth, who was another member of the club, spoke as the two boys and girl sat down in their usual spots. "We're an easy target."
"Exactly. We're the freaks because we like to play a fantasy game." Eddie Munson grumbled. He got up from his seat and stood on the table. "But as long as you're into band..."
His show caught the attention of almost everyone in the cafeteria. Beth had been sitting with her cheer friends and some other girls since Max said she wasn't going to lunch. She ate her food as her and another cheerleader giggled as his dumb behavior.
"Or science...or parties...or a game where you toss ball into laundry baskets!" He yelled out the last part, directly to the basketball team.
"Loser!"
"You want something, freak?" Jason stood up from his seat, ready to start a fight.
Eddie placed his fingers on the side of his head, making horns, and stuck his tongue out and began spluttering in a mocking way.
All the boys and Ally on Eddie's table began to chuckle, looking up at the boy in admiration. Beth laughed from her table making the some of the cheerleaders look at her in confusion. She chuckled before stopping.
"Prick."
"It's forced confronting." Eddie explained, strutting down the table before jumping off. "That's what's...killing the kids!" He yelled in other's faces, completely scaring them but making his friends laugh and smile.
"Beth, you want get something from the vending machine?" A cheerleader asked and Beth nodded. Both girls dumped their food into the bin before going to head to the vending machine.
As they walked over to Eddie Munson, he stepped back and gestured for them to go past him. The cheerleader who was with Beth smiled brightly before going by.
"Thanks Munson." Beth smiled slightly.
"My pleasure Bethany."
She cringed when he said her full name before turning to her friend. She told her to get her snack from the vending machine and the girl nodded.
Beth squeezed through the boy's chairs to get to Ally. She then leaned towards the girl's ear. "Lucas really wants you to come to the game." She whispered and Ally sighed.
"I know but I need to be at this campaign." Ally whispered back making the boys on the table look at the two girls in confusion.
"I know, I told him. But listen just at least try to not only for him but for me." Beth said and Ally nodded with a slight smile. "Now if you excuse me, I have to go find Max and convince her to come to the game." Beth spoke louder before smiling at all the boys at the table before going back to her friend who handed her a pack of M&Ms.
"So, uh, speaking of monsters, uh, Lucas has to do his, uh, balls in laundry baskets game." Dustin was too nervous to speak up.
"I thought we said Mike was going to tell him." Ally whispered to the two boys.
"I never agreed to that." Mike glared.
"So." Dustin chuckled nervously as if this was a funny matter. "He's not gonna be able to make it to Hellfire tonight."
"And we know there's no way we can beat your campaign without him." Ally added.
"So, me, Ally, and Mike, we were talking, shooting the shit, and we were thinking that maybe we m-might..." Dustin continued.
"Postpone." Mike butted in, annoyed at how long Dustin was taking.
"Postpone?"
"Can't just drop this on us!"
"Over my dead body."
"Shut up!" Eddie silenced his three friends. "You saying Sinclair's been taken in by the dark side?"
"Well I mean, when you put it like that..." Ally started.
"Uh, something like that." Mike nodded.
"Something like that?" Eddie mocked him, throwing a piece of food at them.
"Jesus Christ."
"And rather find a sub for him, you want-you want to postpone, "The Cult of Vecna"?" Eddie questioned, looking pissed.
"I don't want to postpone it. We don't want to postpone it." Mike clarified, as Eddie stood up. "It's just that, you know, most of the subs will be at the championship game."
Eddie spun around being fake interested, "Oh, it's the championship game?"
"Yeah."
"Can I level with you? Jeff graduates this year. Gareth's got, what? A year and a half? Me, I am army crawling my way toward a D in Ms O'Donnell's."
"You've said that many times before." Ally nodded.
They all watched as he went down the table, acting out making them all laugh. The trio of freshmen seemed to have forgotten their previous words had annoyed Eddie.
"If I don't blow her final, I'm gonna walk that stage next month, I'm gonna look Principal Higgins dead in the eye, I'm gonna flip him the bird, I'm gonna snatch that diploma." Eddie began jogging away. "I'm gonna run like hell outta here."
Ally always thought Eddie was a cool guy. He was super funny and was very entertaining. She kinda saw him as an older brother she never had, behind Brandon.
"Didn't you say that last year?" Gareth joked.
"And the year before that?" Jeff questioned.
"Yeah, yeah, and I was full of shit." Eddie went back over to them. "This year's different. This year is my year. I can feel it. 86, baby."
"Third attempt at senior year! Let's go!" Ally joked. The boys chuckled and Eddie couldn't help to crack a smile, but decided to ignore her.
"You know what that means?" He looked directly at the freshmen.
The three shook their heads.
"It means you guys are the future of Hellfire." Eddie crouched down between Ally and Dustin. "I knew it. The moment I saw you. You sat on that table right over there, looking like three little lost sheep."
"You were wearing a weird al t-shirt which I thought was brave." Eddie looked at Dustin.
"You, Ally, had an oversized t-shirt of the band 'Kiss' with denim shorts that you can barely see. Bold of you." Eddie reminded.
"Um..thanks I guess. My science teacher actually thought I had no pants on that day."
"Mike, you were wearing whatever shit your mommy bought you from goddam Gap." Eddie taunted, making them all laugh.
Eddie pulled the three friends up, whispering threats to them, "And we showed you that school didn't have to be the worst years of your lives, right?"
"No."
"No."
"Okay, no, no." Eddie agreed. "Well, I'm here to tell you that there are little lost sheepies out there who need help. Who need you."
"Right."
"And all you guys gotta do is get your bo-peeps on and go and find one." He pushed them, hard. The three friends stumbled forward as they walked off.
€€€€€€€€€€€€
Ally walked into the gymnasium and walked over to the cheerleaders practicing for the game tonight.
"Beth!" She called and the girl turned away from instructing the girls with Chrissy. She walked over to her friend.
"Hey, what's up?" She asked and Ally took a breath.
"I was wondering if you can fill in for Lucas at Hellfire today." Ally asked and Beth frowned.
"Al, I really would love to help you out here but I need to be here for the game. I am the co captain after all and Chrissy can't handle these girls on her own." Beth explained and Ally nodded.
"Okay, it's fine."
"Hey, I'll make it up to you. Promise." Beth smiled before Chrissy called her. She ran over and Ally waved goodbye. She then walked out the gym with a sigh.
€€€€€€€€€€€€
Beth was doing a routine with the other cheerleaders as the band played. She looked to the bleachers and saw no sign of Ally. Which she was fine with it but she looked again. No Max. She had asked Max to go to the game and Max started to get a bit mad about it. Beth was upset but knew Max was free to make her own choices. She knew her girlfriend hadn't been doing the best either.
Beth did however did spot Robin in her band uniform and she smiled slightly when she saw her staring at Vickie while she they played their band instruments. She then spotted Steve with a curly blonde girl in the bleachers, as well as an annoyed jealous looking Brandon next to them. She snickered at the fact of Brandon being jealous of Steve with a girl.
The cheerleaders finished their routine and the band stopped. Some people cheered as Principal Higgins made his way to the microphone. "Everyone now please rise for our national anthem." He ordered.
Everyone in the gym stood to their feet.
"Singing for us tonight, we have a very special guest." The principal told them. "All the way from Nashville, our very own Tammy Thompson!"
When Brandon and Steve heard the name they looked at each other in shock before looking at their friend in band. Robin also looked in shock.
The crowd began to cheer as the girl came up to the center with a big smile on her face. She waved to everyone.
"Go Tammy!"
"We love you Tammy!"
" 🎶 Oh say, can you see 🎶 " The girl began to sing. She was so off key that microphone feedback was loud as well.
Beth cringed and looked at Chrissy who had a weirded out look on her face. Both girls chuckled as they whispered to each other on how awful the girl sounded.
" 🎶 By the dawn's early light 🎶 "
"Oh my God. My ears are bleeding." Brandon muttered.
Steve looked at him with a chuckle. They both turned to Robin who looked at them and Steve whispered, "Told you. Muppet."
As she continued to sing, Brandon decided to cover his ears and close his eyes. He then thought of Star Wars for some reason.
A cheerleader named Willow looked at Beth asking, "You going to the party after this?" Beth looked at her. "I heard it's going to be fun."
"I would go but my parents have a strict curfew for me after I snuck out to hang out with Ally." Beth replied. "Also Brandon is a snitch and will probably even kill me himself if I broke that curfew."
"Ugh. Bummer." Willow groaned and Beth nodded.
"Wow, she sounds amazing, doesn't she?" Brenda asked Steve and Brandon heard her even though he was covering her ears.
He looked in confusion and saw Steve nod in a way like he was about to die. Brandon rolled his eyes and scoffed. When Brenda looked away, Steve gave her a look and looked at Brandon who shrugged.
" 🎶 And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air. Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that star spangled 🎶 "
€€€€€€€€€€€€
"I hope this was a good idea." Ally muttered.
Her, Dustin, Mike, and Erica Sinclair were currently walking over to the room where they held their campaigns at. They were rejected by almost everyone at the school, so the three decided to go to the middle school.
Erica was happy to join their campaign. She had the American flag wrapped around her shoulders and she held a pink folder in her hands.
"It's totally a good idea." Erica replies. "He better say "thank you for saving my campaign"."
"And here we are." Dustin announced as he pushed the doors to the room open.
The four arrived and saw Eddie sat in a throne and his three friends stood around him. There was complete silence when the four walked in. None of them expected such a young player.
"Absolutely not." Eddie stated with a smile on his face.
"You asked for a sub." Dustin reminded him.
"Exactly! So, we have delivered." Ally finished, gesturing towards Erica.
"This is Hellfire Club." Eddie reminded. "Not babysitting club."
"I'm eleven, you long haired freak." Erica shot back at him.
Ally chuckled and nudged the girl a bit.
"My, my, the child speaks." Eddie retorted, making his minions giggle. The boy shot out of his seat and approached the girl. "So what's your name, child?"
"Erica Sinclair."
Eddie chuckled, "So this is Sinclair's infamous sister."
"He's sharp." Erica rolled her eyes.
Garreth and Jeff laughed but when Eddie turned back at them, they stopped.
"What's your class and level?" Eddie leaned down to her, "Level one dwarf?"
The three older boys bursted out laughing as if Eddie was super funny. Ally and Dustin shared a look.
"My name is Lady Applejack and I'm a chaotic good half-elf rogue, level 14." Erica informed him. "And I will sneak behind any monster you throw my way and stab them in the back with my poison-soaked kukri. And I'll smile as I watch them die a slow, agonizing death."
They were all stunned in silence. Ally grinned at Erica.
"So, we gonna do this, or we gonna keep chitchatting like this is your mommy's book club?" Erica challenged the boy.
Eddie smiled slowly, putting his hand out to shake, "Welcome to Hellfire."
€€€€€€€€€€€€
"The hooded cultists chant, "Hail Lord Vecna. Hail Lord Vecna." Eddie spoke to the group in a low tone. "They turn to you, remove their hoods. You recognize most of them from Makbar. But there is one you do not recognize, his skin shriveled, desiccated. And something else."
They all leaned over the table, intrigued by his storytelling.
"He is not only missing his left arm, but his left eye!" Eddie stood up, demonstrating his words.
They all began to clamor and yell, complaining.
"No! No!"
"Vecna's dead."
"He was killed by Kas."
"So it was thought, my friends. So it was thought, but Vecna lives." He slammed the figure onto the mini throne.
"We're so screwed."
"You are scared. You're tired. You are injured. Do you flee Vecna and his cultists?" Eddie questioned. "Or stand your ground and fight?"
The group sat there, thinking of what to do.
"Come on." Eddie urged.
Ally spoke up first, "I say we fight."
"I agree, we fight." Dustin nodded. "To the death."
"To the death." Erica nodded.
"To the death."
"To the death! To the death!" They all chanted as they slammed their palms onto the table.
"To the death! To the death! To the death!"
The rest of the campaign had been intense. There were wins but it was mostly losses which resulted in only two players left.
"Time out." Chris begged. "Time out! Time out!"
Everyone but Eddie stood up. They all moved to the side of the room and got in a huddle.
"Guys, I hate to say this, but we've got to flee." Gareth confessed.
"I concur." Chris agreed with him.
"Didn't we just agree to the death?" Erica reminded.
"That wasn't literal." Gareth shook his head.
"Vecna just decimated us." Jeff spoke. "We can't kill him with two players."
"You too?" Dustin gave him a look. "He only has fifteen hit points left. Don't be pussies."
"Pussies?" Gareth questioned. "Really? Cause we're not delusional?"
"Delusional?" Ally repeated. "How about not freaking cowards?"
"Hey!" Eddie called out. "If I may interject, gentlemen, Madam Ally, Lady Applejack."
The members of the club turned to listen to Eddie.
"Whilst I respect this passion, you'd be wise to take Gareth the Great's concern to heart." Effie advised, "There is no shame in running. Don't try to be heroes. Not today, 'kay?"
"One sec." Dustin said before the group went back to their huddle.
"What do you think, Mike?" Ally asked the boy.
Mike glanced up at Dustin, "How many hit points do you and Applejack have left?"
"Twelve." They both said in unison.
"It's risky as hell." Mike said. "But you're the ones one the battlefield. It's your call."
"What's going to be you two?" Ally looked at them.
"What do you say Lady Applejack?" Dustin turned to the younger girl.
"You really gotta ask?"
"Screw it." Dustin muttered before turning around, "Let's kill the son of a bitch."
"The chances of success are twenty to one." Jeff reminded.
Dustin put his finger up to silence him, "Never tell me the odds. Give me the D20."
Eddie held a large smirk on his face as he threw the dice to Dustin.
"Oh Lord, let us win." Ally muttered.
Dustin took a deep breath before hurling the dice down the board. They all watched in anticipation as it rolled.
"That's a miss!" Eddie shouted, bobbing his head around in excitement.
"No!"
"God damn it!" Ally exclaimed.
"Shit, shit!"
€€€€€€€€€€€€
The basketball game was playing out nicely. Beth and the cheer team were cheering from the side lines. The score was sixty nine to the guests and sixty eight to Hawkins High.
Beth cheered loudly when she saw Lucas heading onto to the field since another player had been injured. She watched as Lucas stole the ball, his back against the other team. He passed and scored. Beth gave a cheer and the other girls followed.
A few minutes passed and Jason missed the shot. Lucas got the ball and dribble it to the side of the court. He tossed it and the buzzer went off meaning the game was over. But if the ball landed in the hoop, Hawkins will win. Everyone stood to their feet, their eyes being glued onto the ball.
The orange ball stirred around the basket as everyone watched uncertain it was going to make it. It finally dropped in the hoop and the crowed cheered. Beth cheered super loudly making the other cheerleaders cheer as well.
"Yeah! Let's go Lucas!" Beth cheered making the boy look over and smile at her. He was glad she was there to support him.
"We need to celebrate! This is amazing!" A cheerleader named Ash exclaimed as she hugged Beth. "We can totally celebrate with some amazing dance moves and the best drinks at Jason's party."
Beth looked over at Chrissy to see her looking down. She wondered if she was okay and was going to ask her when her mind went back to what Bella asked. She didn't want to upset her parents and she already has been doing a lot of crazy things this week. But would it be so bad if she was a couple of minutes late for curfew? Her parents will probably be asleep so all she had to deal with was her brother. And with that right words she can convince him not to tell their parents she was late.
She looked at Bella and smiled, "You know what? Let's do it!"
Hello my loves!! I want to apologize for not being active on here. I've been trying to deal with my mental health lately and I also started school again recently and it's been crazy. I'm in senior year of high school so I have to prepare for college stuff and other things. But I'm back now and I promise I'll update more!
This chapter was longer because I wanted to fit in a lot of stuff. Also Beth is in her bad girl era, Ally is a boss, and Brandon is still not taking Beth's advice about Steve.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and more is coming soon!!!
Love you all!!
-Mary💗
