Kalina and Miguel walked up to the Cobra Kai Dojo spotting Johnny getting out of his car. "Hey, Sensei, you told us to be here at five, right?" Miguel asked as Kalina took notice of the defeated expression on her father's face. "Yeah, but today's training's cancelled," Johnny replied as he unlocked the door, the two teen's looked at each other before following him inside. "What? Why?" Miguel asked while Kalina threw her bag to the side. "'Cause I said so," Johnny answered as he walked into his office.

"Sensei, there's something that we wanna show you," Miguel announced as he pulled his laptop from his bag. Kalina smiled hoping that this would cheer her father up, give him the same hope he was giving them. "Look, I'm really not in the mood," Johnny says with his back to Miguel and Kalina as he grabbed a beer. "Dad, we really think you'll like this," Kalina added as they stood in front of Johnny holding the laptop out to him. "It's a Cobra Kai webpage, right?" Miguel placed the laptop down on the filing cabinet.

"We made it in study hall. Click on the snake," Kalina encouraged with a small smile. Johnny looked at his daughter before stepping forward and clicking on the mousepad, the Cobra hissed on-screen before transitioning upwards. "Okay, this is the sign-in page. Now we were thinking, maybe we can make an app where you track your progress─" Miguel began before allowing Kalina to continue flawlessly, "─Get a social media campaign going, get it out to the whole school. The possibilities are endless."

Johnny looked to the website impressed before smiling at the two teens as Miguel's phone began to ring. "That was my mom. I'll call her back later," Miguel shoved his phone back in his pocket while Kalina smirked at the ringtone. "Hey, was that just... Ratt?" Johnny asked as he looked up at his daughter, the blonde smiled and nodded. "Awesome, right? Yeah, I went online and looked up Guns N' Roses after Kali showed me Paradise City and then I ended up going on this whole '80s rock rabbit hole with Kali," Miguel explained as the two teens fist-bumped.

Johnny smiled at the two, his memories flashed back to his friendship with Bobby Brown and he couldn't help but compare the similarities that made him feel nostalgic. "All right, meet me at the high school at midnight. Don't be late," Johnny says to the two. "W-What for?" Miguel asked as Kalina groaned knowing why. "You wanna learn how to be kick-ass? First, you gotta learn how to kick," Johnny replied before smirking at his daughter who was frowning.

Kalina was never more grateful for a nightguard than she was the night before the dance, after her father decided to push the two teens into the pool for their kicking lesson, she despised the idea of going near water again ─ at least not around him. Cobra Kai never say die, that's what she repeated in her head as she kicked her legs in the pool and what she screamed as they were running away from the nightguard through her laughter.

And now she was standing in the bathroom of the Dojo looking into the mirror, her costume was on and the tight bodysuit had her feeling self-conscious. She struggled to decide between Black Widow, Captain Marvel or Spider Gwen. So with the assistance of a website, she had decided on Spider Gwen minus the face mask, which she had stashed in the costume's pocket, but she was grateful for the hood. She moved to the left and let out a slight sigh before walking out of the bathroom and looking up.

Johnny and Miguel stood there, Miguel wearing the costume that his Yaya made for him. "I'm guessing the Deadpool costume didn't go the way you hoped?" Kalina asked with a small smile, she admired the woman's attempt. "Yeah, you could say that. But wow... You, uh, you make a great Spider Gwen, Kali," Miguel scratched the back of his neck before looking to Johnny who smiled at his daughter.

"Well, I can't let you go out like that," Johnny said to Miguel, the boy nodding along. "We have a reputation to uphold," Johnny continued while Miguel looked defeated. "What do you suggest?" Miguel asked, he was willing for just about anything. "I have an idea," Kalina announced as she remembered the framed photo that sat on her drawers of her father and his best friends from his teen years, their costumes from their Halloween dance.

Kalina and Miguel walked into the dance looking around at the multitude of costumes, Kalina sighed before her eyes landed on Eli and Demetri. "I see them," Kalina announced before pointing towards the table where their friends stood together. Miguel and Kalina approached the two and instantly Demetri and Eli looked at Kalina, their eyes trailed up and down her body. Eli looked away, cursing to himself for looking at her that way at the risk of making her uncomfortable.

Demetri, however, whistled and nodded. "Oh, Skeleton. Classic," Demetri said to Miguel before looking back at Kalina, "And Spider Gwen. I'd let you save me any day." Kalon chuckled softly at his words while shaking her head. "Thanks. I like your sorcerer costume," Miguel complimented Demetri who scoffed. "Sorcerer? Please," Demetri looked at Miguel in slight offence while Kalina nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Miggy. He's a necromancer. Didn't you see The Amulet?" Kalon asked.

Demetri looked over to Kalina with metaphorical heart eyes while Eli smiled at her, Miguel looked at her with furrowed brows before looking to Eli wanting to acknowledge their other friend. "So are you a regular doctor, or..." Miguel asked Eli. "Plastic Surgeon. I fix lips," Eli answered quickly before glancing at Kalina, the blonde smiled at him before starting a conversation with Demetri.

Miguel noticed how Eli sighed, his shoulders sunk as he watched Demetri and Kalina talk flawlessly like old friends gushing over the same interests. Miguel smirked slightly realising that Eli had a crush on Kalina which meant he would have a possible chance to play matchmaker between his friends like those telenovela's his Yaya watches. After a while, Miguel turned to the two boys, Kalina had started a conversation with Aisha.

"Let's go ask the Dragon Queens to dance," Miguel says to his two friends as he looked at a small group of girls sitting on the bleachers. "Slow your roll, we got time," Demetri replied as someone asked one of the girls to dance making Miguel groan in annoyance. "We just lost one to Doctor Who," Miguel announced while Eli looked towards Kalina as she laughed with Aisha, he was building the confidence to ask her to dance even if he didn't know how to.

"I seriously love the costume idea, if I had known then I would've joined you," Kalina informed Aisha as the two ate from the snack table. "I'll keep that in mind for next time. I just can't believe that you walked away from popularity," Aisha expressed with wide eyes. "And I don't regret it. It really isn't everything they claim it to be, trust me. Besides, I've made awesome friends from the change. Speaking of which, if you wanted to, you could join my family Dojo," Kalina says with a smile.

"Me, learn karate. Yeah right," Aisha answered with a small frown on her face. "Listen to me, Aisha, you are capable of everything. Don't let anything hold you back from being the person you were born to be or chose to be. I truly believe that you could become one of the most badass chicks in this place," Kalina expressed before getting a message from Miguel. "Miguel's sent me a text to meet him in the hall, I've gotta go. But just think about it, okay?" Kalina suggested.

Aisha nodded with a smile, "I will. Thanks, Kalina." Kalina hugged her before making her way out of the dance and into the hall where she spotted her father holding up Miguel. "Oh, my God! What the hell happened?" Kalina growled, her harsh tone bouncing off of the walls. "Not now, Kali. Help me get him home," Johnny spoke. The younger Lawrence took a slow breath before walking forward and throwing Miguel's arm over her shoulders, helping her dad carry him out to the car.

Kalina curled up under her blankets after they had dropped Miguel off at home. Carmen was beyond pissed at the sight of her son and after finding out the truth about Karate, she had enforced him to resign from the Dojo. Johnny had left the apartment, Kalina was left home alone as she messaged Miguel back and forth until she dozed off to sleep letting the night's events drift from her mind as she entered her dreams.

Meanwhile, Demetri was focused on the fact that he and Kalina had so much more in common than he thought. She was just a pretty popular girl to him for the past year and now, she was the pretty nerd who always held a kind smile on her face. He was in awe of it, he completely understood why Eli had a crush on her. But of course, he couldn't possibly be crushing on the same girl as his best friend; that could be damaged to their bond. He couldn't do that to Eli, the sweet kid who had it tough because of something out of his control. So he would be a friend to both, cheering on the sidelines; unless he screwed up.

And Eli? He was completely awestruck by the blonde as he sat at his desk looking at the Cisco drawing he had yet to return to the blonde. Just a few days ago, Kalina Lawrence was out of his reach and now, she was his newest friend. Eli knew all successful relationships start with a strong friendship. Of course, he believed that Kalina was out of his league but she had already called him attractive and stated that she preferred brains over brawn or beauty. But Eli also noticed the way Demetri looked at the blonde, the way his views were changing; he wouldn't lose her to him.
