Kalina stood by Demetri as he was conversing with a few other Cobra Kai students, her gaze moved around the crowd before landing on Hawk. The boy's focus was towards the hill, Kalina followed his gaze to Moon who was smiling flirtatiously at him and the teenage boy was soaking up that glory. Kalina felt an uncomfortable pit in her stomach at the sight and she knew instantly what she was feeling was jealously.

She shook it off and turned to Demetri, "I'm getting a drink." Before he could say anything, she walked away from him but he knew, he saw her staring at Hawk and Moon's flirtatious staring and Demetri wasn't stupid, he knew the girl liked Eli and despite his own feelings, he knew Kalina needed support. Demetri shook his head before following after the girl deciding to stick by her to make sure she was alright.

"Hey," Hawk spoke with a smile as he approached Kalina, Demetri had stepped away for a moment. "Hey," Kalina answered since the two were still on rocky waters. "Look, I wanted to apologize for calling you stupid. It wasn't fair nor is it true. I just... God, you drive me insane," Hawk said before noticing the look on her face, "In a good way." Hawk stepped closer to Kalon. "In a great way, actually..." Hawk whispered.

Kalina blushed at the words, watching as Hawk leaned towards her. "And you have no idea how badly I want to do this," Hawk said before moving closer to her. Kalina swallowed before moving forward, the two connected before moving against each other. Kalina felt herself melt into Hawk's hold on her waist, the boy smiling as he kissed her. The two pulled away for air, both of them smiling about their first kiss ─ it was both of their first kiss.

"How long have you been wanting to do that?" Kalina asked breathlessly. "Since eighth grade. But I've liked you since third grade," Hawk answered before kissing her again with more passion, she responded instantly, her body pushing closer to Hawk's. Miguel and Aisha looked over to them and smiled. "About time," Aisha stated while Miguel nodded, he looked to Demetri and noticed the boy didn't see the two kiss; but Miguel was still worried as he had seen the way Hawk was soaking up Moon's attention, surely he wouldn't screw it up. Kalina and Hawk spoke for a while, sharing a few kisses here and there until he excused himself to get a drink, disappearing in the crowd.

By the time it was dark, Kalina had a few drinks and spent time conversing with students from Cobra Kai after she had lost track of Hawk. Demetri had spent his time keeping the girl company and ensuring she was talking a lot in hopes that she wouldn't drink as much. Miguel had been stumbling about, the boy bumped into Kalina making the girl giggle at his behavior. "Miggy, you're definitely drunk," Kalina exclaimed to the boy who smiled at her.

She shook her head as she looked around, her heart stopped as her gaze landed on Hawk and Moon making out. She felt her eyes getting watery, her fists clenching at her side while her hand holding the plastic cup squashed it causing the alcohol in the cup to spill everywhere. Kalina felt stupid, completely and utterly stupid for thinking that Eli - Hawk - would ever look at her as anything more than a friend; his words were clearly for smooth plays. She took a deep breath before storming towards the cooler, grabbing a bottle and downing the whole thing before grabbing another.

She cursed at herself for ever believing that Hawk was any different to Kyler and his goons. Hawk wasn't Eli - not her Eli - and now she only had herself to blame. She stumbled her way towards her car, pulling her keys from her pocket of her jacket before unlocking the car. "Kalina?" Hawk's voice caught her attention, the girl turned to him with a blank expression. "I was looking for you," Hawk added before stepping forward, he was hoping and praying that she hadn't witnessed him kissing Moon; it wasn't intentional but it wasn't like he pulled away in his drunken state.

Kalina stepped back from Hawk and swallowed dryly at the confused look on his face from her action. "What? What's wrong?" Hawk asked. "Looking for me? I didn't realise that task included sharing saliva with Moon," Kalina snapped at him causing his eyes to widen in realization; and the other ball dropped. "Kalina, wait... I swear, I can explain..." Hawk attempted but Kalina shook her head. "I don't want to hear it!" Kalina seethed out.

"I can't believe I was stupid enough to fall in love with you!" Kalina drunkenly snapped at Hawk causing him to falter. "W-what?" Hawk stuttered. And there it was, her Eli shining through as tears gathered in his eyes. "Actually... you know what, I didn't fall in love with this," Kalina pointed at Hawk. "I fell in love with Eli. The boy with a kind smile, a quiet voice but an amazing personality who wouldn't have hurt me like this," Kalina continued.

"K-Kali..." Hawk whispered but was cut off by Kalina's fist as it collided with his face. "You hurt me, Hawk. You played me, made me feel like something special was between us and then... you took my first kiss from me..." Kalina's voice cracked as she blinked back tears. "You're a bully... You've become Kyler..." Kalina spoke softly before getting into her car, not caring about being intoxicated and she took off leaving Hawk standing there alone to his thoughts; shaming himself for not staying sober. If he had've, then maybe he could've been holding Kalina in his arms in his bed watching a movie right now.

Kalina ended up at the local park where she had taken vacancy of a swing, the bottle from earlier that day in her hand as she drank from it occasionally as tears flowed down her cheeks. "I guess Lawrences really are unsuccessful in relationships by nature," Kalina mumbled to herself as her phone buzzed in her pocket, the drunk teenager ignored it as she swung lightly, drinking from the bottle until it was empty.

She stood up from the swing and stumbled towards the bin, throwing the bottle in there and smiling at the satisfying shattering sound that echoed. She stumbled over to her car, pulling her keys out before unlocking it. She climbed in and moved to put the keys into the ignition but stopped as she spotted Demetri's bag, she remembered that she was his ride home. The girl pulled her phone from her pocket and looked at the messages from Demetri.

"Where the hell did you go? Miguel punched Sam, Hawk snapped at me then left with Moon and now I'm standing with Aisha cause you left," Demetri rambled once he answered the phone call before stopping as he heard a sob leave Kalina's mouth; his immediate thoughts of something happening between Kalina and Hawk were confirmed. "Kali, what happened?" Demetri instantly began to worry, the boy looked to Aisha who had called her dad to pick them up. "I'm so stupid," Kalina exclaimed to the raven-haired boy.

"Drink driving, yeah, you sort of are. But I have a feeling that's not what you're talking about," Demetri stated with a frown. "Hawk and I kissed earlier and I thought... maybe he felt the same but... then he made out with Moon... And I just feel so stupid because... I spent so much time worrying about what to do... 'cause I knew I was crushing on Eli... not Hawk... but I also have this spark with you... And I j-just... What's wrong with me?" Kalina rambled between drunken sobs, the words flowing like an unstoppable river.

"N-nothing... Kali, there is nothing wrong with you. Now tell me where you are and I'll come get you," Demetri suggested, his heart stuttering in his chest. Kalina told Demetri where she was and the boy had called his mother requesting her to pick them up. They organised for Kalina's car to be safely bought to Demetri's, where Kalina stayed the night. Demetri smiled as he watched Kalina fall asleep on his chest, wanting to ensure she didn't choke on vomit and die. She was extra cuddly when drunk and emotional but he wouldn't fight it.

He felt his heart race at the knowledge that Kalina liked him, that there was a "spark" between them but he hated seeing her so heartbroken by Hawk. He knew that the confident change in Eli wouldn't be completely positive and after witnessing someone so carefree, bright and bubbly end up so broken because of him, Demetri couldn't help but wonder what else this new version of Eli could cause - most likely, nothing good. But a more selfish side of Demetri seeped out, a thought bouncing through his mind about how Hawk's screw up meant that Kalina and him could become something more.

"Who knew that Kalina Lawrence, the pretty popular girl who had it all could have such a nerdy personality," Demetri teased as he sat back against his headboard, Kalina sitting opposite him with a pile of comics between the two. "Oh shut up, don't act like you don't love having a female who loves comics as much as you," Kalina replied with a smirk on her face, Demetri nodded in agreement with her words. "Well, that is very true but still, my statement stands," Demetri stated making the blonde laugh and roll her eyes. "I will beat you up, 'Metri," Kalina threatened though he knew she didn't mean it. "Like you didn't during our Karate lesson," Demetri replied to her.

"It's because your stance is wrong and you refuse to hit me despite the fact I could block your reflexes easily," Kalina told him with a raised brow, she began piling the comics into stacks before moving them to the floor next to the bed. "I don't want to hurt you, Kalina. I'd never want to hurt you," Demetri said with a genuine but stern tone that caught Kalina's attention, she turned her head back to him and stayed silent as he pushed the comics to the fall and reached for her hand. Kalina accepted his outstretched hand, moving to sit right in front of him as he took her other hand in his own. "Hurting you would be the last thing I'd ever want to do," Demetri told her, Kalina blushed at his promise.

They had been actual friends for almost three months now and she had loved every second of it, he made her smile, made her laugh and sometimes he would just sit in silence with her so she could draw and he could admire her. "I'd never want to hurt you either, Demetri and if I were to ever hurt you, I'd spend forever making it up to you," Kalina promised him, Demetri's heart began racing at her promise. "And over time, I would forgive you," Demetri replied softly. The door opened causing the two to jump apart, the blonde realising that she had leaned closer to him. They turned to see Eli and Miguel walk in with the food they left to get, smiles were shared but Demetri's gaze kept landing on Kalina and her lips.

Rosemary Speaks

A bit of an emotional one.

Also, never drink and drive! It is dangerous and very illegal.

The next chapter is the All Valley tournament, which will be a bit interesting.

And just a heads up, this chapter was written on my phone as the 'O' key on my laptop keyboard is broken. So I'm sorry about any spelling mistakes and such.

See you in the next chapter!
