Kalina sat next to Miguel looking up at the movie screen, he had convinced her to join him, Aisha and Hawk to see a movie. "Hey, what's wrong?" Aisha asked Miguel as Hawk threw a piece of popcorn at the girls in front of him. "I can't stop thinking about what Sensei told me about Sam's dad," Miguel answered while Kalina continued stealing Miguel's popcorn, rolling her eyes every time a piece of popcorn landed on the girls in the row before them; Hawk wanted to use jealousy to snap Kalina into talking to him, or so he hoped it would work that way.

"So, Sensei and Sam's dad had some beef. What's that have to do with you?" Aisha asked him, Kalina nodding along with her words. "Do I have to spell it out for you? Sam's dad hates Cobra Kai, I'm a part of Cobra Kai. So by the transitive property, Sam's dad is gonna hate me," Miguel explained with a panicked sigh. "Jesus Christ, you're such a nerd," Hawk stated, Kalina turned to look at him in disbelief at his words; it wasn't like his sudden change took away the fact he was still a nerd underneath it all.

"I'm telling you, it's not just on my mind. Sam was acting weird the other day when her dad walked by," Miguel expressed ignoring Hawk's words. "Mm, listen, I've known Mr LaRusso since the third grade. He's a really nice guy, you just have to talk to him," Aisha expressed making Kalina nod along. "Aisha's right, Miggy. Give Mr LaRusso the chance to know you. I mean, look at me... I'm the daughter of Johnny Lawrence and Mr LaRusso didn't dislike me," Kalina spoke up for the first time that night, Hawk's ears perking up at the sound of her voice.

"I haven't even been invited over yet. She's probably too afraid to introduce me," Miguel told them with another sigh while Kalina threw some popcorn at Hawk. "Dude, just go over there. It's an alpha move," Hawk informed him before looking at Kalon with a raised brow. "Oh yeah, 'cause you're so good at 'alpha moves', right?" Kalina snapped at him before looking at the movie screen, Hawk clenched his jaw, he was happy she spoke to him but he didn't like the attitude that he knew he deserved.

"Who the hell did that?" An older man asked as he stood up glaring towards the back of the cinema, Hawk tensed up instantly and focused on the screen while Kalina waved at the man before looking to the screen. Miguel was trapped in his thoughts about Hawk's advice while Aisha looked between Hawk and Kalina, she didn't like the tension between them and she knew it was about to get so much worse.

Kalina walked towards the apartments, reaching into her bag for her keys when she looked up at the sound of smashing glass. "Hey!" Kalina shouted as she rushed forward spotting a couple of people smashing up her father's car. "Hey, what the hell are you doing?" Johnny shouted as he rushed over to stand with his daughter. "Consider this a message from Daniel LaRusso!" Louie said pointing a bat towards them before slamming it against the car.

"What are you going to do, Nancy?" One of the guys taunted as Kalina glared at Louie. Johnny rushed the guy, the second guy grabbing him so Kalina ran forward and kicked the first guy in the stomach while Johnny dealt with the second guy. The first guy attempted to shove Kalina to the ground, but she blocked him and managed to knee him in the stomach before punching him in the face letting her anger out on the stranger.

The guy growled in anger, punching her in the stomach before throwing her to the ground, he laughed as she rolled over faking hurt before pushing off of the ground and kicking him in the face. She stood up properly as Johnny held the other guy, Kalina smirked before jumping off of the ground, spinning in the air, kicking the guy in the face sending him to the ground. Johnny smiled proudly at his daughter before moving towards Louie.

Kalina's feet were swiped by one of the guys causing her to hit the ground hard, her head smashing against the pavement. "Hey, asshole! Burn in hell," One of the guys said before lighting the car on fire, rushing away from it. Johnny's eyes focused on his daughter, he rushed towards her and threw himself over her to protect her from the flames as the car was consumed by them. Kalina coughed as Johnny moved off of her, checking her for any burns, "I'm alright, dad."

Johnny, in a fit of rage, looked down at his daughter before jumping up and stealing a bike before riding off. Kalina pushed herself off of the ground, stumbling away from the car before collapsing against the wall. "Whoa, kid. That doesn't look too good," Louie knelt down in front of Kalina before pulling out his phone. "Hi, I need an ambulance. This girl has been in an accident and her head is bleeding bad..." Louie's voice faded out for Kalina as she let her eyes close.

The dull sound of beeping caught Kalina's attention as she started to wake up, her head was sore and as she opened her eyes, the bright lights blinded her causing her to close her eyes. She let out a quiet groan before moving her hands, the clip of the monitor sat on her finger which caused the girl to wake up fully. She looked around the room till her eyes landed on someone she hadn't seen in a long time.

"Hey Kalina," Shannon's voice was soothing as she walked closer to the bed, but Kalina flinched back from her birth mother; even the use of the name coming from her mother made her uncomfortable. "Where's dad?" Kalina's voice was raspy from sleep and she instantly watched as Shannon's face contorted into annoyance. "Of course, you would ask for him, you stupid girl. He was the one that left you almost dead by his car while it burned to the ground," Shannon snapped, she could never understand how her only daughter always clung to Johnny instead of her.

The monitor began beeping rapidly as Shannon's tone got harsher, the nurse rushed in with Robby behind her. "Ma'am, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave," The nurse instructed Shannon who continued her harsh words, Kalina fell into her brother's hug as the boy glared at his mother. "Hey, hey... I got you, K. I'm right here," Robby cooed to his sister, rubbing circles into her back as she let the tears fall.

Robby stayed with Kalina for half of the day, the two talked about everything and opened up about what they had been doing over the past few months since Cobra Kai had opened. Robby told Kalina about how he got a job working for the LaRusso's to piss off their father but ultimately began learning Karate with Daniel and the boy found himself feeling like he belonged for the first time. Kalina was happy that he was happy but she was worried about how their father would react to that.

Kalina told Robby about Eli becoming Hawk and her friendship with Demetri, her brother finally bringing clarity to Kalina's mind at the realisation that both boys had a crush on her which made the blonde feel guilty, she never wanted to lead them on. So she had decided to talk to both of them separately in order to resolve it and potentially save her friendship with both of them. After lunch, Robby had left the hospital allowing Kalina some quiet.

"Okay, one place you want to visit more than anything in the world?" Eli asked as he and Kalina sat on the edge of the school roof, food sitting between them. "Honestly... I have no idea. There are so many places but if you're wanting to know one, it'd have to be..." Kalina trailed off making Eli turn to her and raise a brow as the blonde thought deeply about her decision. "Aurora Borealis," Kalina told him with a determined nod. "You want to see the Northern Lights?" Eli questioned her choice with a small smile on his face. "Yes. No photos, no drawing it... just me under the lights... well, maybe The Beatles playing to fit the vibes," Kalina expressed as she looked at the boy.

"I like it. I'll take you one day," Eli promised making Kalina blush lightly. "I look forward to that then," Kalina replied to him before the two fell silent, they turned their heads to the people below and continued to people watch in confortable silence. "There you two are!" Miguel called out as he and Demetri moved to sit with the two. Kalina and Eli turned away from the people below to face their friends, "We were people watching." Kalina told them deciding to keep her and Eli's promise to herself. "Well, Demetri and I have something to tell you," Miguel said with a wide grin on his face. "And that is?" Kalina asked. "Mike Kline is transferring schools," Demetri answered making Kalina laugh. The four friends chilling out with smiles and laughs.
