TWO

Charlie turns the keys in her apartment, the door clicks and it opens. Running her hands through the ends of her hair, Cleo walks in. It's fairly big and it seems cozy. It's only kind of messy, in a charming way. Charlie throws her keys down on the counter and takes off her blue jacket.

"So..." Charlie says and trails off. An awkward laugh escapes Cleo's lips. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, she sits down on Charlie's couch.

"Do you want me to explain or not...?" Charlie sits down with a sigh.
"Go ahead."

"Well, basically, the Leviathan are shapeshifting creatures who are almost impossible to kill. Decapitating and borax are the only things that make any sort of dent in them." Charlie nods along, her eyes wide and Cleo can tell the shock is still settling.

"They're taking over the corn syrup industry, and they've killed a lot of people. They plan to domesticate the human race and use them as a food source." Charlie shakes her head and blinks.

"That's a problem then, isn't it..." Cleo nods soberly.

"Yes. That's what we're trying to prevent. Oh, and Dick Roman is the head Leviathan."

"Delightful." Charlie says sarcastically, and a knock sounds at the door. They exchange a look, and Cleo stands up.

"I'll get it," she mouths, and steps towards the door. Looking through the keyhole, she sees Sam and Dean, and a big carton of something. She unlatches the door, and opens it up.

"Hey, Winchesters. How are my notorious criminals doing?" Sam laughs half-heartedly, and Dean smiles a bit.

"Nice to see you too, Cleo." Dean says, and she steps back to let them in.

"So you're saying, you guys are monster hunters. So, there are other monsters? Stop. Never mind. Just shh." Sam closes his open mouth, and Dean shifts awkwardly in his seat. She walks back and forth, and then turns back to the three of them sat on the couch knee to knee.

"So you're telling me everything he had on his drive is true?" They all nod, and choruses of yep, yes, and yeah come from them.

"Wait-" Sam moves forward on the couch, irritating both Cleo and Dean. "We were getting kind of updates from Cleo, but how long did it take you to crack into Frank's drive?"

"A day or so." Cleo smirks, smug on behalf of Charlie, who is clearly impressing the Winchesters.

"Is there anything you can't hack into?" Sam huffs out in disbelief, and Charlie sits down at her table.

"Not yet." She states, and Sam opens his laptop.

"How about Dick Roman's e-mail?" Cleo turns to Sam, slightly shocked that he would ask Charlie that.
"Oh, yeah, cause he's the creepy chomper leader."

"Exactly." Sam finishes, and Charlie makes quick eye contact with Cleo, asking with her eyes. Cleo nods back slightly, and the redhead turns back to the brothers.

"So what's the end game – steal our resources, make us some slaves?"

"Planet-wide value meal. We're the meat." Dean says, and Cleo laughs. Dean gives her a quick side-eye, but smiles a bit too. Cleo's missed them, she hasn't seen them since... well, Bobby.

"You can't be... serious," she pauses, and no one responds. "Okay. All right. Let's do this." She opens up her laptop, an Arwen background from Lord of the Rings coming up after she types in her password. "What am I looking for?" She asks, and everyone gets up from the couch. Cleo ends up closest, and places her hand on the back of Charlie's chair.

"Well, for starters, uh, anything about archaeological dig sites." Dean comments, and backs up a bit.

"Like Indiana Jones stuff?" Charlie asks, and Cleo turns to Dean, surprised about this information. She knows that they couldn't tell her everything, but she thought they'd let her know when they found out something new.

"All we know is that Dick has been digging all over the world, and we need to know what he's looking for." Dean responds to Charlie, and she turns back to her computer keyboard.

"You know, I was having a really good week. I had some great chinese food," she pauses and looks at Cleo. "Downloaded the new Robyn album. Everything was coming up me." She stops typing abruptly. "Oh, crap."

"Look, we get it sucks." Sam says with a lack of empathy, and Charlie shakes her head.

"No, not that. This." She turns the screen so they can all see. "Dick's e-mail isn't on the company server. It's on a private one, in his office."

"Meaning?"
"Can't get in it unless you have his phone or you're at his desk." Cleo opens her mouth. They could try to go back, but there's a slim chance of them not thinking something's up at this point.

"So you're saying that if we're inside Dick's office, then we can hack into his e-mail?" Cleo glances at Dean, and she knows he's grasping at straws here. Only Charlie can do this, and Cleo knows she won't want to.

"You can't. Only someone like... but I sure as hell ain't doing it. I am doing my job and..." Charlie swallows nervously. "What are the chances I see everything on that drive and Dick lets me live anyway?" Cleo runs her hands through the tips of her hair, a nervous feeling rising in her chest. The Winchesters are going to make Charlie do this, and there's nothing Cleo can do to stop it. It's important, she's telling herself as she looks at Charlie's pained expression, and she can almost feel the redhead's old life slip through her fingers.

"I think you know." Sam says darkly, and Cleo shuffles her foot.

"I'm sorry, Charlie." She says softly, trying to reassure her. Charlie looks up at her, and shuts her eyes. Then she opens them again and faces the computer.

"So I erase the drive first, protect me and you. Then I can go back to my old life, right?" She says hopefully, and Cleo turns away, she hates this. Charlie was okay, and she was obviously going places.

"It's not that easy. You're on Dick's radar, which means you don't have an old life anymore."

"I'm gonna die."
"You're not going to die, Charlie. Not on my watch, anyways."

"I should have taken that job at Google." Charlie says wistfully, and Cleo laughs.

"Look, Charlie, it's okay if you can't do it. I mean, you didn't volunteer for this." Always trying to reassure people. Sensitive. It's a nice thing about the youngest Winchester.

"Totally. Exactly." She nods, and looks at Cleo. Cleo smiles softly, and Charlie turns back with purpose. "But now I volunteer."
"What?"

"I can break into Dick's office with Cleo's help, right? She knows what she's doing, I know what I'm doing, kumbaya, right?"

"Are you sure?" Sam asks, his eyebrows creasing. Cleo puts her hand on Charlie's shoulder.
"We can do this."

"Not entirely sure... but these things are gonna eat everyone I know, including you all if I don't help you. What kind of douchebag stands by for that?" She stands up and holds her hand out. "First, I need the drive. Cleo, you took it, right?" Cleo fishes into her pocket and pulls out the drive. She places it in Charlie's open palm, and her chest flutters as her fingers brush her hand.

"Thanks." She inserts it into the computer and types for a minute.
"Done." Clicking one last time, she closes the computer and turns back to their expectant faces.

"One problem, I have never broken into anything in real life before, so... plan?" Dean and Sam exchange a look, then both look at Cleo.

"You got a Bluetooth?"
"Yeah." They sit down around the table, Cleo to Charlie's right and the Winchesters across.

"Security system – can you get into that?"
"I can reroute any surveillance cameras we need." With a nod, Cleo turns to Dean as he responds.

"All right. Let's start with that."
"So you both have keycards, right?" Sam leans forward, and Cleo nods with a smile. This plan is starting to come together, and Cleo realizes she missed this.

"Yep. So we can use those to get in, right?" Sam nods.
"Yeah. You're both going to go in together." Cleo and Charlie make quick eye contact, and the same fluttery feeling fills Cleo. She shakes her head quickly, and then looks back at Sam.

"No?"
"Sorry- yes. Yes, we'll go in together."
