"FOR THE LAST TIME, MIJO, GHOST ARE NOT REAL." The woman explained as a scoff escaped Reggie lips.
"Typical adults," he muttered and turned to look at his friends "Do your remember when we were kids, and they never believed what we said?"
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's just a you thing." Alex replied as Roxy giggled lightly, she laid on the couch with her head in Alex's lap and her legs on top of Luke's.
"My dad never believed what I said, that's why I sneaked when he was blackout drunk in the couch. And that's also the reason I would be late half the time for practice." Roxy told them as they all silently listened.
"I was pretty trustworthy." Alex shrugged "Great kid, good grades-"
"And you were which makes you 10x better." Roxy cut him off as he smiled lightly.
"Thanks."
"Shouldn't we be more worried about Julie instead of who was a better kid?" Luke strictly said "Her dad just busted her, okay, he's probably making her quit the band."
"Well, there's not much we can do about that now, but.." Reggie trailed off as his eyes landed on Carlos, "We can still help Carlos. Adults not believing children ends tonight." Reggie mumbled "Show time." He turned off the lap beside him.
A gasp left the aunts lips as she looked up tot stare suspiciously at the lamp. A smirk only grew onto Carlos features "Ghost aren't real, huh? How do you explain that?"
"Light bulbs burn out all the time, Carlos."
"Ooh! Wrong answer, tรญa." Reggie laughed as he walked over to the curtains "Explain this." He opened and closed them quickly, the band mates stared at him with disappointments while Roxy giggled in approval.
She felt a suddenly stinging on her forehead as she looked up to she a strict look on Alex's face. "Don't encourage him!" He muttered.
"What, it's funny."
"Maybe it's my mom!" Carlos cheerfully said as he stared at the flickering curtains "She knows I haven't been replacing the toilet paper."
"Your mama would never scare us, this is the work of a demon!" The sudden flickering stopped as Reggie looked towards the aunt with a hurt expression.
"Hey, words hurt."
"Wait, I gotta get this on video." Carlos quickly pointed his tablet towards the living room as Reggie reached for a white sheet.
"Time for an old classic." He mumbled and pulled it over his head, while the aunt panicked Carlos grinned from ear to ear. But she quickly pulled his out the room and ran off somewhere as Roxy and Reggie snickered.
"That was awesome." She lifted her jeans for a high-five but Alex slapped it away.
"Do you have any idea what you've just done?" Alex crossed his arms as both bandmates stared at Reggie angrily, Roxy lifted her hand and threw him a thumbs up.
"Yeah, I do, I've defended every kid who's never been believed. Some might say I'm a superhero." He shrugged carelessly but his eyes widened after a few moments. "We should probably hide before Julie finds out."
He ran off the couch quickly as Roxy rolled off the couch and fell onto the floor, she got up quickly and ran after Reggie leaving the 2 by themselves. But quick footsore behind her signaled that they had also followed her.

"Hands up if you're with me, I got a spark in me, hands up if you're with me." The 3 harmonized together as Ray cooked something in the kitchen.
"This is new." Julie laughed
"Yeah, I was in the mood for cooking some breakfast." Ray replied.
A giggle slipped from Reggie's lips as he turned to look at Julie, "He thought you were talking to him. Me and your dad are pals now."
"Yeah, I introduced Reg to Ray and now we're besties." Roxy smiled as she wrapped and warm around Reggie's shoulder.
"It's kinda one-sided for the most part, but it works." Reggie explained.
"Look, after the talk we had the other night I was thinking that I may have cost you an opportunity with that manager. So I was thinking-"
"Dad, no, I should've never snuck out."
"Let the man speak, he's been stress eating all week," Reggie said "I don't know where he puts it thought, it's like...firm." Reggie pointed towards Rays thin stomach as Roxy silently laughed beside him.
"I know, but I really want to support your band, so I called in some favors, and I booked you a local gig." Ray grinned.
"Best dad ever, my dad would never do this!" Roxy celebrated.
"Oh my gosh, where, did you call your buddy from Drakes?" Julie questioned as Ray shook his head.
"Not quite." He mumbled "I called Flynn, and she's gonna help us throw a party. Here, tonight."
"Oh!" Julie excited look slowly died down as she stared at her father "So you booked us a gig at our house?"
"Maybe Rox was a little early with the best dad ever award." Reggie whispered.
"No, no, just give him a second."
"All right, here me out, you invite some of your friends over, you play with your band, and I'll some of my colleagues to put you on film. That way, you have something professional for your YouTube." Ray explained as Julie chuckled and looked up at Ray with a smile.
"You'd do that for me?"
"Yeah."
"See, he still deserve the best dad ever award." Roxy shrugged as she took reggie's hand "We'll go tell the guys."
"Wait..hold up." Before Roxy could drag away Reggie he stopped and waved goodbye and the older man "Have a good day at work Ray." No reply was given back and Reggie frowned "It's cool, you don't have to answer, just..."
"Aww." Roxy gave him as sympathetic look as they quickly flashed out, as they arrived at the garage she gave Reggie a quick hug.
"Thanks." He mumbled as he looked towards the 2 bandmates talking. "So, we have a gig!"
Both Alex and Luke turned there heads towards Reggie and Roxy with a wide smiled, "Wait really? Where?" Luke questioned.
"Here...I know it's a bit weird but trust the process." Roxy said as the boys hesitantly nodded.
"Well, I gotta go discuss which song we're gonna play for the gig so I'll be back to rehearse in a bit." Luke quickly poofed out.
"I need to talk to Willie, I haven't heard from him since the ghost club thing." Alex explained and waved before also leaving, which meant it left Reggie and Roxy.
"I guess it just us." Reggie smiled and Roxy collapsed onto the couch.
"I guess so." She mumbled and stared up at the ceiling, they hadn't had time to be alone since the whole entire ghost thing happened. They always had new songs songs, rehearsal, performances, it was very rare for the best friends to be alone. "Hey Reg."
"Yeah?"
"Can I tell you a secret?"
"Sure."
"I like someone." She sat up and looked towards the boy he sat on the piano with, the words that came out of her mouth made him feel a sudden pain in his chest.
"Who is it?" He asked as Roxy walked towards the piano and sat down beside him.
"Someone I've know for awhile, I liked him for so long but I don't think he feels the same." She looked towards Reggie who stayed silent as she spoke, "It's someone who's name begins with an R and ends with a D." She jumped off the piano and turned away so she didn't have to face the boy. "His name may or may not rhyme with veggie."
A chuckled was heard from behind her as footsteps slowly got closer to her, "So weird, I think I know who you're talking about."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Do you think they like me back?"
"I don't know." He mumbled as the footsteps stopped right behind, he took her hand and spun her around to face him. They both stared at each other for a moment, the same exact way they stared at each other whenever the shared a microphone during performances or when they both talked about something they loved. Roxy eyes flickered down to his lips as she stood on her toes so she was able to reach his height, she leaned until she felt soft lips collide with hers.
She shut her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck, he didn't pull back, he just kept moving his lips with hers. Roxy only pulled back when her lungs begged for air, she looked up at the boy and grinned sheepishly, a small giggle left her lips as Reggie raised a brow.
"What are you laughing?"
"You suck at kissing."
Reggie scoffed "I waited years to do that, and you're telling me I suck at kissing."
"Yeah." Roxy nodded as another chuckled erupted from her chest "We'll, does this confirm if this person likes me?"
"I think he does, I'm still not sure." Reggie replied a grinned "Let me check." He planted a light peck in her lips before nodding "Yeah, I definitely think he does."
"Amazing!" Roxy grinned and before she could lean in again Luke flashed back to the garage along with Alex. "Oh, shit," The girl muttered and quickly stepped back with a nervous grin "Hey guys."
"Hey, so we got the song, its great. We don't got much time so let's get practicing." Luke immediately reached for his guitar and sat down on a small chair, Roxy grabbed her own instrument along with Reggie. The band mates sat on the couch and did a few rhythms along with mumbling some lyrics, every now and then Roxy would steal a few glances at Reggie before going back to her guitar.
"Look, we add the echoes during the chorus, then when Julie comes in with the melody..it's gonna sound perfect." Luke said as a sudden thud came from outside the garage door, the 4 bandmates looked up and saw Willie looking through the window.
"Again, what's that all about?" Reggie questioned as Willie ducked down to avoid being seen but it was too late.
"Yeah, I thought you went to go talk to him." Roxy said as Alex quickly stood up.
"I did, but I couldn't find him." He flashed out and a muffled conversation was heard from the other side he came back in with a angered expression.
"You alright?" Roxy stood up and walked toward as he simply nodded, "Lexie." She muttered
"I'm fine, I'm alright, we just gotta practice." He picked up his drumsticks and walked over to his drums, the band followed after but they knew that something wasn't right.
"Alright, cool, practice." Luke mumbled
