"I'M BORED" Roxy muttered as she laid on Reggie's lap, "And hungry, when's Luke coming back, because I'm very bored."
"Why are you always complaining Anne." Alex groaned, "I don't know, he said he's gonna try to book us a gig, he even pulled out one of our old songs, bright." He replied spinning his drumstick in his hand.
"I have an idea." Roxy mumbled and stood up from the couch before she quickly poofed out, she arrived in front of the wooden door that lead into Julie's room and knocked. Julie opened the door and slightly jumped at the sight of the ghost, "Sorry to bother but do you have any nail polish by any chance?"
"Oh...um sure, what color?" Julie replied as she walked to her vanity and began shuffling through her drawer.
"Black."
"Right here." Julie smiled holding out the black bottle to the ghost girl, but when Roxy tried to grab it her fingertips just went through it, she awkwardly chuckled as she tried to grip it again but the same thing happened. "I'll just....put it..yeah." Julie placed it in the pocket of Roxy flannel and waved goodbye.
"Thanks Julie." Roxy shouted and teleported back to the garage, Reggie looked up at her and raised a brow. "Know time to reveal my brilliant idea." She pulled the bottle out her pocket and smirked. "I'm gonna paint your nails."
"Me first!" Reggie shouted as Alex groaned and crossed his arms. "I beat you to it, fair and square!" Reggie laughed at the boy.
"No fair." Alex muttered and poured as a laugh slipped
from Roxanne's lips.
"You two are such children." She mumbled and sat down beside Reggie, she opened the bottle, dipped the brush a few times and lightly tapped the edge to make sure not too much paint was on the brush. She grabbed Reggie's hand and began painting his nails, Reggie grinned widely as the girl softly brushed them on each finger and fixed her mistake, a few times the brush would fall through her hand and get on carpet below which caused it to be stain with black.
"Done!" Roxanne announced and slightly blew into his hand, "Now you've gotta wait till they dry, it'll be about five to ten minutes."
"I have to wait until they dry!" Reggie whined
"Yes now be patient, I know how much of a hyper person you are so stay put." The girl ordered and called for Alex, "They should be finished by the time I complete Alex's nails."
"Fine." Reggie muttered and laid down with a grumble, he looked at his nails one more time a smiled "At least they look cool."
"I'm excited." Alex clapped as Roxy chuckled and grabbed his hand, she repeated the same steps and brushed the black paint onto his nails. "Pretty." He whispered as Roxy finally finished off his middle finger with a pink nail polish she stole when Julie wasn'r in her room.
"Reg, your should be all dry by now." Roxy called out to the boy laying on the loft, "Reg?" She called out again as a groan was the only response.
"I'm coming, I was just dying a boredom." Reggie complained as Roxy chuckled before inspecting his nails, surprisingly, they were perfect. They were exactly the way she left and she was quite impressed by Reggie, "I know what your thinking, oh my god they aren't chipped I thought Reggie would ruin them, well I didn't so."
"I wasn't thinking that!"
"Yeah you were." Alex called out as Roxy turned to him, he laid on the couch elegantly with his hands out, "Mine are going to come out flawless."
Suddenly Luke poofed into the room with a smile but the grin soon dropped when he noticed the black nails, "You painted your nails without me!" He pouted as Roxy walked towards him and patted his shoulder.
"We still got some left." She whispered as Luke smiled, "Want your painted?"
"Yes please!"
"Sit down."
โ
"Can I have my flannel?" Reggie begged as the girl shook her head, "Please!"
"No, just use your leather jacket, the flannel pulls this outfit all together." Roxy replied as she checked herself out in the mirror, she wore ripped jeans, a plain white tank top, worn out converse, and Reggie's flannel tied around her waist. "Hey Luke can I borrow a beanie!" She shouted as Luke replied with a quick 'yeah'
"Cool, this one will do." She mumbled placing a black beanie onto her head, "Great, I like my outfit now." She smiled and teleported down the loft.
"Are you finally ready?" Luke asked as Reggie followed close behind Roxy, "We gotta be at Julie's school soon."
"Yes, I'm ready." Roxy nodded and put her hand out, "C'mon show me your hands." She smirked as all the 3 boys revealed their painted fingers. "You have to admit, they looked good."
"Yeah, they do." Reggie sighed as he finally gave up on the flannel and put on his leather jacket, "Now let's go." With a quick flash all 4 ghost were gone and in a high school gym with a loud crowd.
Julie noticed the ghost and a look of confusion washed over her "What are you doing here?"
"We wanna see you stick it to the man." Luke replied and turned back his bandmates, "Isn't that right?" Luke asked but Reggie was too busy watching a group of girls preform.
"Man I miss high school." He mumbled as Roxy turned away with a frown and feeling of jealousy overcoming her. Though she did enjoy the performance and couldn't blame Reggie, as the girls continued dancing Alex began to mimic their movement with a small grin but was soon stopped by Luke and Julie's worried expression.
Once the song ended the crowd loudly applauded for the colorful group, the girl in the pink who Roxy assumed was the leader thanked the crowd with a cocky attitude. The 5 girls strutted out the gym as the principal came, "Thank you dirty candy."
"Now's your chance, go talk to her." Flynn encouraged "See you in music class." She smiled and walked to the bleachers as the principal made a few announcements, but Julie stayed in her spot looking terrified.
"What are you waiting for, go talk to her." Reggie began as Julie turned to them looking for an excuse to leave but there really wasn't.
"Yeah, I mean, you look really nervous, like yack in a bowl nervous." Alex pointed out as Julie let out a shaky breath.
"I just don't think I had enough time to work on the song."
"I wouldn't have given you the song if I didn't think you were gonna rock it." Luke said, "Now there's a piano on that stage with your name on it." His words seemed give Julie some confidence but she still look scared. She approached the stage and sat in front of the keyboard as the teenagers on the bleachers stood up and began walking out, Julie played a couple of notes but stopped.
"You've got this." Roxy cheered with a smile which caused Julie to sigh and continue as the band watched her with their fingers crossed.
"Sometimes I think I'm falling down, I wanna cry, I'm calling out." She sang as lights shined above which caught attention to the students, "For one more try, to feel alive, and when a I feel lost and alone, I know that I can make it home. Fight through the dark, and find dark, life is a risk but I will take it close my eyes and jump. Together I think that we can make it. Come on let's run!"
Without a single warning the band popped up onto the eh strange with each of their instruments in their hands, "And rise through the night you and I we will fight to shine together bright forever, and rise through the night you and I we will fight to shine together, bright forever."
Julie approached Luke a confused look when she realized the students could see the band, "Is this really happening?"
"Just go with it." Luke laughed, "In times that I doubted myself I felt like I needed some help, stuck in my head, with nothing left. I feel something, around me now, so unclear, lifting me out, I found the ground I'm marching one."
Roxy smiled at Reggie and nodded at him to sing with her, "Life is a risk but we will take it, close my eyes and jump, together I think that we can make it, come let's run!"
"And rise, through the night you and I we will fight to shine together, bright forever, and rise through the night you and I we will fight to shine together. Bright forever."
"In times that I doubted myself, I felt like I needed some help, stuck head, with nothing left. And when I feel lost and alone I know that I can make it home, fight through the dark and find the spark!"
"And rise through the night, you and I, we will fight to shine together, (shine together), bright forever, (bright forever). And rise through the night, you and I, we will fight to shine together bright forever!"
The crowd loudly clapped as the 5 bowed proudly before a flash took them away in a second. The crowd gasped as questions circled around, they all stared at Julie looking for an explanation but she was just as confused as them. She chuckled nervously and awkwardly stood on the stage in silence, "Hey, where'd the rest of the band go?" A boy asked as the purple girl from Dirty Candy spoke up.
"Wait, where those holograms?"
"Yes! Yes, they were holograms." Julie said following along with the lie as her eyes trailed up to the projected above the students. "I plugged it into the ceiling projector before the show, I'd explain it but it involves algorithms and science stuff."
The crowd cheered and loudly clapped for the girl as the band mates watched front the side, "That's weird, they could see us when we were playing but not when the music ended." Luke spoke up.
"We should double check." Reggie suggested before running up the stage and doing a strange hip movement, "Yeah, I don't....I don't think they can see us." He explained walking back beside Roxy who was trying to hold back a laugh.
"I wish I couldn't see you." Alex muttered as Roxy let out a loud laugh, she covered her mouth quickly but let a few giggles slip out.
"Sorry, sorry, just couldn't keep it in."
"Such a loud noise from a tiny body." Luke mumbled with a grin.
"Okay people, show's over." The principal said as she signaled for the students to leave, "Let's get back to class please." Meanwhile Reggie kept trying to get the attention of a girl.
"What was that!? Where those holograms?" The girl bitterly mimicked as her friend shamefully looked down.
"Hey there, hi, Reggie. Could I maybe call you sometime, what's your number?" He asked but the girl completely ignored him. Roxy watched next to Luke, he noticed her cross her arms and glare at the purple girl, he smirked and nudged her with his elbow.
"Are you jealous?" He asked as Roxy pulled her gaze away, and looked towards Luke.
"What no!"
"Yes you are!" He laughed, "Look your glaring your nostrils, you don't that when your mad or jealous!" He pointed as she looked away, "Also you have a bitchy look."
"You seriously just called me a bitch?"
"No, I said you have a bitchy look, there's a difference Rox."
"Alex! Luke just called me a bitch!" She shouted towards Alex who was a few feet away from them, he turned around with a protective mom look at marched towards them.
"He called you a what!?" He asked glaring at Luke who put his arms up in defeat, "Luke would you mind repeating to me what you called my dear Roxy." He asked hugging the short girl.
"I said she had a bitchy look I didn't-"
"So you did call her a bitch." Alex interrupted and placed his hands on his hips.
"No I-"
"I need you to apologize." Alex interrupted again and snapped his fingers towards Roxy, "Now."
"But-"
"Now!"
"I'm sorry for calling you a bitch." He mumbled looking down at his feet as Alex shook his head, "What, I apologized!"
"I need a sincere apology from the heart, and look her in the face!"
"I am so sorry I called a bitch Roxanne, I promise it won't happen again." He said as the girl smiled.
"Apology accepted."
"Great let's go then." Luke said and quickly walked out them gym.
"I swear these children and their behavior." Alex sighed.
"I know right!"
"Don't act all innocent Roxy, I have a list of your crimes." Alex pointed at her with a strict look and followed Luke out the gym, Roxy rolled her eyes and chased aftrr him.
