"GUYS I DON'T THINK Julie would like us in her house, she literally kicked us out." Roxy said following the boys as they walked towards her front door, "Guys!"
"It's okay Rox, we're just gonna explore a little." Reggie explained as Luke was the first one to walk right though the door followed by Alex then Reggie but Roxy stayed behind. A hand suddenly grabbed her wrist and she was yanked into the house, at first Julie didn't notice and continued to enjoy her spaghetti but her eyes suddenly shifted to the door.
She nearly choked at the sight of the 4 ghost, Roxy was trying to escape Reggie's grip while the other 2 look around in awe. Julie let out a small yelp as the 3 boys tried to walk towards her, Reggie dragged Roxy but they paused at the sudden noise.
"I told you it was a bad idea!" Roxy whisper-yelled at the boys who stood frozen as Julie chuckled nervously.
"That's me, ripping off the band-aid." Julie lied with a small laugh as her aunt grabbed her chin a smiled at her.
"There's my brave girl." She cooed.
Luke walked towards Julie without a care in the world as Roxy tried to hold him but was stopped by Reggie. "Hey Julie, I really like what did with the place." Luke complimented.
"You shouldn't be here."
Her aunt gasped and looked down at Julie, "Oh, I'm just here to help, mija."
"I think that's our cue to leave." Alex whispered
"Our cue to leave was as soon as we stepped into this house." Roxy snapped at the blonde as Julie continued to lie her way out of the situation, the 4 slowly backed away as Julie glared at them.
"We should've called first." Reggie mumbled as the ran out, "That was close guys." He chuckled as Roxy slapped the back of his head.
"You guys are idiots."
"W-Wait, Roxy." Luke called out rushing over to her as she teleported into the garage, "Roxanne!"
"What, Luke?" Her eyes narrowing at the use of her full name.
"Me and the band want to discuss." Luke gestured toward Alex and Reggie behind as they nodded, "We all wanted you to take Bobby's place since you know, he's not here."
"Guys.."
"It's true!" Alex interrupted, "You don't technically play an instrument, unless you count your voice, so we decided it would only be fair."
"Your already great at it, we'll make it offfical, you're the new Bobby." Reggie smiled at her as Luke grabbed a black and white guitar.
"Roxanne Gomez, do you want to be the new rhythm guitarist in Sunset Curve." Luke presented the guitar at the girl as she chuckled lightly and grabbed it from his hand.
"I do." The 3 cheered as they lifted the girl who began to laugh, "You guys are so dramatic." She said as they lowered her down to the floor, they gave her one last final hug before they got back to being serious.
"Let's get playing!" Luke cheered as they began to drag all of their things down from the loft and got everything prepared, "All right everything looks in tact, you guys ready." Luke asked his band mates as Reggie put up a thumbs up.
"One two three!" Alex counted of as the music began, but they decided to hold back on the vocals. All 4 smiled as the volume increased and they continued playing till Julie came marching in with her strange slippers.
"Guys! Guys! Enough, stop, cut it out!" She yelled loudly over the music as Roxy stopped but the boys continued till they finished. Julie crossed her arms angrily and glared at them "The whole neighborhood could hear you, I thought I told you to leave."
"Wait, people can hear us play?" Luke questioned a slight hint of hope in his voice.
"Yes, and so did my dad and my brother!" She whispered yelled at them.
"W-W-Wait, so, only you can see us but everyone can hear us?" Alex asked in shock as they all placed their instruments down, "I mean what kind of ghost are we?"
"Who cares man!" Luke cheered "People Can hear us play." He high-fived Alex with a wide grin.
"We might be dead but our music isn't."
Suddenly the garage door open as an older man came "Dad!" Julie said cheerfully as the man entered the garage.
"Hey, just making sure you're okay."
"Yeah, I'm fine, I just had to turn off the CD player."
"Wait, is this the junk that was in the loft?" The man questioned looking at the instruments.
"Junk?" Luke scoffed as the man began to walk towards Alex's drum set, he banged a horrible tune with his fingers as Alex stared at him.
"Some of this stuff's in pretty good shape." He said messing around the the cymbals as he grinned at Julie,
"Hey, maybe we can make a couple bucks." As soon as the words came out his mouth Alex looked at him with an offended look.
"What, yo, stop touching my drums—tell him to stop touching my drums!" Alex yelled at Julie while looking at the man with anger.
"I liked that song you had on." Her dad complimented
Luke smirked as he walked towards the man. "Sweet, we're Sunset Curve."
"Tell your friends."
"It's just an old CD I found." Julie explained
"Well, still, it's nice that you're listening to music again." The man smiled kindly at Julie, "Out here you can play whatever you want." He put his hands out causing it to go through Luke and Reggie, "Whenever you want."
"Oh!" Reggie mumbled in shock, "That's nice!"
"Stay out of this." Julie muttered through her greeted teeth.
"I-I'm sorry, honey. I didn't..."
"Oh no, no, no, no, I mean...uh..you know, give me a minute." Julie laughed nervously as she tried to drag her father out the garage.
"Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey." Her father stopped and looked at her "We'll figure out this music program thing."
"Thanks, Dad." Julie quickly said and forced him out before closing their door and sighing,
"He likes our song." Luke cheered with a smile
"Oh yeah. He doesn't count." Alex added "He's a dad."
"Why can't you guys just be normal ghosts!" Julie shouted at them, "Hang out at an old mansion, I hear Pasadena's nice." She walked out the garage and slammed the door on her way out.
"I think she's warming up to us." Roxy smiled
"Yeah, I've always wanted to go to Pasadena."
"Me too!"
"We should go together."
"Stop being so couple-ly." Luke muttered in a disgusted tone, "Let's try to convince Julie to let us stay." He said and teleported out.
"Should we follow him?" Alex asked
"We probably should but I don't really want to." Roxy shrugged leaning onto the piano. "We just spent 25 years in a dark room, I need some time to check this place out."
"I think we should go with him, just for some support, ya know."
"Alright fine." Roxy mumbled at the teleported out but soon realized it was at a bad moment.
"Clearly, your mom is into music."
"Was." Julie interrupted with a frown, "She passed away."
"I am...so sorry."
"Yeah, we... we didn't know." Alex spoke up as Julie turned her head to see the 3 ghost with sympathetic looks on their faces.
She smiled and looked down, "It's all right." She mumbled as slightly hesitated as she opened her mouth again "You guys haven't seen her anywhere,
have you? From wherever you're from."
"Um...no. No, I mean, you're kind of the first person we've seen." Alex explained
"Yeah, but she's not dead, so it doesn't answer her question." Reggie whispered
"Yeah, I think she knows what we mean." Roxy muttered pinching his arms. "Idiot." She whispered lowly. "I'm sorry for your loss Julie, I know what it feels like to loose a mom, I lost mine back in 1990, I promise it'll get better, just hang out with Carlos, or whatever you brothers name is. Younger siblings always help."
"Thanks, and I'm sorry too." Julie lightly smiled, "I'm sorry to all you guys, for getting mad, you guys are kinda good."
"Kinda, you know that's like 25 years of rust just getting dusted off."
"Yeah, do you play the piano too?" Reggie asked Roxy noticed Julie's face drop.
"No." Julie quickly replied "No, I don't play, that was my mom's stuff in there."
"No way she's an amazing songwriter."
"She was." Julie sighed but paused and furrowed her brows, "Wait, how would you know?"
"There's a song on the piano, if it's hers...your mom was really talented." Luke told her as Julie smiled and began to began to walk away though she stopped.
"I guess...if you need a place to stay, you can stay in there. There's a bathroom in the back and a couch that turns into a bed, if you still use any of that stuff."
As soon as Julie finished her sentence Reggie excitingly put his finger up with a large smile, "Dibs on the shower!" Julie raised a brow, "I just really like shower and sometimes the occasional bath."
Roxy lightly laughed as Julie stoped back with a perplexed look, "This...this is just too weird." When she walked away the 4 ghost silently celebrated.
