"did i hear you correctly?" yoongi asked with a deep chuckle. "you want me to sign a peace contract?"
"exactly." hoseok proclaimed.Β
yoongi leaned back in his chair and crossed his hands over his chest. he sat there silently for a couple of minutes, probably having a monologue with himself, and then began to laugh as he flipped through the pages of the contract. "what do i say... thanks for making me laugh, i really needed that today. you may go now."
"we are serious." hoseok got in closer to yoongi, leaning on his elbow which he carefully placed on the table. "we are sick and tired of this rivalry between the two of us. i am not saying we should work together or shit, i just want us to not be at each other's throats 24/7."
"alright, name me at least one reason why i should believe you." yoongi said. "do you realize what you're doing right now? after all these years of rivalry, you're coming here out of the blue, asking for peace. highly suspicious, if you ask me."
"i understand where you're coming from, but try to understand us as well." hoseok suggested. "after all, communication is the key to everything."
"what is this, a disney movie?" yoongi asked. "we live in a fucked up world filled with heartless people, and in this case, standing out will only make it worse. you have to be like the rest on the outside, but smarter on the inside... smart enough to trick people into thinking you're like them."
"great, why don't you write a book about it." hoseok declared.Β
jimin, who hasn't been listening to the conversation at all, got up from the couch long ago and started walking around the office, looking at all the different books on the bookshelf and just admiring the interior design of the room in general.Β
"i have no idea what was even going through your head when you got this idea, hoseok." yoongi said. "did you actually think i would believe you? you know damn well thatβ
what on earth are you doing?"
yoongi looked over hoseok's shoulder and caught jimin casually looking through the closet.
"close it." yoongi demanded.
"i was just curious about the clothing you wear... i must say i am not disappointed at all." jimin responded and closed the closet doors. "are you a bottom?"
"imβ what? what does this have to do with anything?" yoongi questioned.Β
"are you though?" jimin walked closer and stopped next to hoseok.
"i am a top."
"are you sure? your style says otherwise. you must be at least a switch..."Β
hoseok's eyes checked yoongi out up and down and yoongi fidgeted in his chair after seeing a sly and sinister smirk spread across hoseok's face. he looked down and moved the contract back to hoseok.
"if you two could stop eye-fucking me for just a moment we can get over with this faster." yoongi scoffed. "i am not signing the contract."
"think about it." hoseok slid the contract across the table, back to yoongi.
"should i remind you how you kept one of my men hostage in your gang? and made everyone believe he was dead?" yoongi said.Β
"well, he actually would have died if we didn't save him. but saving him and giving him back to you wouldn't be beneficial to us in any way, so i think it was a fair deal."
the whole idea of faking a peace contract came to hoseok long before jungkook's "death". for years he has been thinking about a way to attack them, he thought about the people he can use for that, the perfect time and place, but it never occurred to him that he made it way more complicated than it actually was. why was he doing it the old, classical way? attacking your rival out of nowhere was so last century, there were much better ways to win now. that's when hoseok remembered about the beauty of betrayal.
"well, now one of your best men was murdered by one of my men. and that makes the deal unfair since we have jin back as well." yoongi explained. "exactly why i think you're here speaking bullshit."
of course, hoseok knew that with having jin here secretly, there would be no way for them to gain trustworthiness. and at first he wanted to kill jin, but then decided to keep him alive and let him go back to his gang. that way, it would be as if he was offering jin back as a sort of verification for the truthness of the deal.Β
"i brought jin back for a reason." hoseok said. "and that reason is on your desk."
"and one of my men killed yours after that." yoongi exhaled. "i am sure you must be furious ... he's dead now."
jimin and hoseok let out a chuckle and received a weird look from yoongi. oh, how fun would it be when they find out jungkook never actually died. it brought hoseok a mild wave of excitement.
"i am just saying... think about it, min yoongi." hoseok stood up and tugged jimin by the waist once again. "you have plenty of time."
"glad you aren't limiting my time on something like this, jung hoseok." yoongi replied in a low voice. "yeah, I'll give it a thought but i am not promising anything at all."
as hoseok and jimin walked through the hallway to the elevator they bumped into someone familiar on their way. standing in the middle of the hallway for a couple silent minutes, they were staring at each other with hatred in their eyes.
"what are you two doing here?" seokjin asked with suspicion.Β
"oh you know... none of you business." jimin responded.
"don't tell me you're actually thinking of giving that peace contract idea a chance."
"oh we are." hoseok chuckled darkly. "and there is nothing you can do about it, what a shame."
"everyone here believes me much more than they believe you." jin said. "and guess what? i can go and tell yoongi about this plan of yours and-"
"oh?" hoseok arched a brow. "you think you can do that and believe that you and your dear husband will be left alive?"
hoseok leaned in closer to jin's ear and jin held his breath, afraid of hoseok hearing his wild heartbeat.
"think again. and while you're at it, why don't you try and convince your dear boss on signing the contract, hm?"
the two gave jin a death stare and headed straight for the elevator.
"annoying as fuck. i couldn't handle the mere sight of him in our gang, im glad he's not there anymore." jimin scoffed. "why did we even save him in the first place?"
"you must admit that it was quite beneficial to us after all." hoseok responded.Β
"i wish that mr. min would've been there instead of jin." jimin pondered. "but in that case i wouldn't want to give him back, I'd keep him... why have you never introduced me to him? i wouldn't mind spending a night or two with him, if you know what i mean..."
"dont make the same mistake jungkook did, dear." hoseok said. "i am sure things between taehyung and jungkook started just like that."
as they walked to their car, they felt the cool autumn breeze mess with their hair. hoseok felt proud of himself, in his head, the plan was perfect, he loved every single part of it. especially the betrayal. god, it would hurt them so much... hoseok felt a smirk appear everytime he thought about it, as if deep inside of him he had a totally different, sadistic and much more evil persona that just begged to be released.Β
hoseok and jimin got into the car. the elder started the engine, but stopped for a moment before doing anything else. he remembered jimin's words and felt a little sinister smile appear on his lips.
"you know what, jimin... i think i wouldn't mind spending a night or two with min yoongi as well..."
