it was dead silent. taehyung assumed that jimin had already gotten rid of everyone in this house... everyone except taehyung, that is.
taehyung's fear-filled eyes stared right into jimin's. he didn't know what brought more fear β the gun or jimin's stare.
taehyung heard the nab of the gun and closed his eyes, readying himself for his death.
jimin pulled the trigger, but once again taehyung felt no pain. he was alive.
taehyung opened his eyes only to see a hole in the wall next to him and jimin, who was still staring at the elder.
tae slowly rose into a sitting position and closed his eyes.
"why?" taehyung asked quietly. "I thought you wanted revenge."
jimin smirked remembering jungkook's words. jungkook had some plans for taehyung, and even though he didn't know what those plans were, he knew for sure jungkook would handle him well.
"you're correct. partly."
"then why didn't you kill me?" taehyung questioned.
"maybe because jungkook values you more than his own life?" jimin scoffed. "we're friends β whatever he cares for, I care for, too."
taehyung lowered his head.
"stop speaking of jungkook in present tense. he's not here anymore."
jimin just stayed silent. he walked over to the safe and started picking the lock.
"aren't you happy?"
jimin expected to hear an answer but after not hearing anything for a couple of minutes he got concerned. he turned around and locked eyes with taehyung. his eyes were filled with tears, red, they rolled down his cheeks and fell onto the marble floor.
jimin couldn't think of a word to describe the pain he saw in those eyes. he wondered if his theories were true... was taehyung really the one...
tae reached into his pocket and tossed the little bag with the drug to jimin. jimin recognized it immediately and gave taehyung a confusing glance.
"I stole it from jungkook a long time ago. can you put it on his grave or something?" taehyung said. "I don't know where it is, nobody has told me yet."
that's because there is no grave. jimin thought to himself and shoved the bag into his back pocket.
"listen." jimin finally opened the safe and began stuffing his black bag with stacks of money. "you were forced to kill jungkook, weren't you?"
taehyung looked up at jimin but the younger continued doing his job.
"what made you think that?"
"well..." jimin stopped for a moment, thinking of how to say it properly. "jungkook has told me about you... and I heard about you leaving your gang to be with him... from minseokβ"
"you even know that son of a bitch minseokβ" taehyung raised his eyebrows in surprisement. "I shouldn't even be surprised at this point."
"what I'm trying to say is... you probably can't tell me the reason, and I understand that." jimin slid the stack of papers taehyung needed across the floor. taehyung caught them.
"but I believe that after everything that had happened between you two, you wouldn't have killed him."
taehyung just sat there, his head down. of course, he could tell jimin the truth but what would that do? bring jungkook back from the dead? it certainly wouldn't.
"I'm devastated." taehyung responded. "it feels like I'm dying from the inside and honestly, I feel like none of this would've happened if jungkook just killed minseok."
"hey, don't you dare blame jungkook."
"I'm not." taehyung exhaled. "that minseok guy... suspicious as fuck and annoying as hell. I wish for him to get run over by a truck."
jimin thought of all the things jungkook has said about minseok. he sounded like a manipulative bitch in the disguise of a fucking angel.
"especially that crescent moon tattoo..." jimin whispered.
"the what now?" tae asked.
"the crescent moon tattoo on his nape." jimin explained. "when we last visited your gang building I saw it on him. and as far as I'm concerned, your signature tattoo is the dark sun."
"hold on you mean..." taehyung suddenly stood up and started running around the room. in a matter of seconds he came up to jimin with a black pen and a piece of paper in his hand. "this crescent moon?"
taehyung drew a horizontal crescent moon he saw on the chest of that girl back in the strip club and showed it to jimin.
"yeah, exactly like that, you saw it on minseok, didn't you?" he asked.
"no..." taehyung replied and watched jimin's eyes widen. "I saw it on this young woman some time ago..."
they sensed a certain presence of fear and confusion as they stared into each other's eyes. even if they knew more, they were not allowed to share any information with each other, not until the contract is signed anyway.
jimin bent down to grab his bag.
"kim taehyung..." he looked at the elder before leaving. "there's something I think you should know...
jungkook isβ"
jimin's sentence was interrupted by a loud gunshot followed by a scream. jimin fell onto the floor, onto his knees, clutching his shoulder with his right hand.
"yah, you scumbag!" taehyung yelled at the guard who shot jimin and ran up to him. he grabbed a chair on his way and hit the man with full force with the chair, earning a loud scream from him. the man fell onto the floor and taehyung took the gun out of his hand and shot him a couple more times to make sure he won't 'rise from the dead' once again.
taehyung turned around.
"park jimin are youβ"
nobody was there.

janesser's hand slid across taehyung's thigh, caressing the soft skin. he was drunk as fuck and taehyung needed money.
yoongi wasn't happy today for some reason. minseok slapped taehyung in one of the corridors. taehyung just decided to distress at the club, and janesser turned out to be there. not knowing what else was left to do, taehyung agreed quite fast to janesser's offer, much to janesser's and his own surprise.
janesser had a fish tank with a dozen of little creatures in his bedroom. it reminded taehyung of jungkook and his lonely fish which taehyung forgot to feed today.
janesser wasn't bad looking, in fact, he was extremely gorgeous, he never saw anybody similar to him. but his personality was pure trash.
janesser carefully placed taehyung on the bed and unbuttoned his shirt, leaving a trial of hickeys. taehyung layed there emotionless, staring at the ceiling, remembering jungkook.
and the same thing again. his eyes became glass-like from the tears. he glanced at janesser and for a moment, through the bluriness of his vision he saw jungkook. he was probably hallucinating at this point, but it made him smile. taehyung grabbed janesser's face and closed his eyes letting the tears roll down his cheeks.
janesser wouldn't notice, he wouldn't care.
their lips crashed and taehyung was brought back to the day when his lips touched jungkook's for the first time. he knew this wasn't jungkook, but he didn't care. he wanted to trick his mind into thinking jungkook was still alive, right here next to him.
before janesser got the chance to grab the bottle of lube from the night table, taehyung pushed him away.
"fuck this."
he got up and started putting on his jeans.
"where the fuck you going?" janesser mumbled and grabbed taehyung's waist. "I payed for you. stay."
"I don't give a fuck." taehyung responded and grabbed his shirt.
"have fun with your hand."
taehyung opened the bedroom door and rushed downstairs. janesser yelled something incomprehensive but taehyung didn't care. he grabbed an apple from the kitchen on his way and left the house, slamming the door after himself.
only after walking half the way, taehyung remembered that he forgot his phone at the house. he stopped and exhaled in frustration. it wouldn't have been a big deal earlier, but yoongi wouldn't buy him a new phone now, so he had to go back and grab it.
taehyung reached into a pocket inside his jacket and felt his gun. it was still there. if something, he can threaten the boy.
taehyung entered the same street and turned left into an alley that led to janesser's house.
he stopped. his jaw dropped.
taehyung ran up to the body that was lying near the house's entrance. the door was wide open and it was deadly silent.
taehyung bent down to the body and turned the head. yeah, it was janesser.
taehyung looked at his legs and grimaced. they were facing different sides... broken.
tae wondered what on earth could janesser have done during this time... or was he repaying for something he did long ago. he felt shivers run down his spine, looking at the mutilated body.
before getting into the building, taehyung stopped for a moment, remembering a situation that happened to him a couple months ago.
"next time you see me - run." she whispered. "or there will be nothing for you to run with. get it? I will break your legs and shove them up your ass."
"the crescent moon girl..." taehyung said to himself and peeked into the house only to be met by her eyes.
she was standing in the kitchen, leaning on the table, as if she was waiting for taehyung to come in. he felt a sudden gush of fear and slammed the door shut, running away as fast as he could.
