╰┈˚ · ° .  I STAYED FOR HOURS IN THE HOSPITAL ROOM. Isaac's healing, even with the boost of my magic, was slow, so slow that for a second I thought of the worst. Alec, on the other hand, was doing much better. Almost all his burns were already healed.

"They found Stiles." I said to my boyfriend. Scott had messaged me as soon as the boy had appeared out of nowhere in the basement of our school. "Apparently now it's him, not the Nogitsune."

"And we are so sure about that, why?"

"I don't know Alec. I'm here with you, am I not?"

"How long have you been awake?" He asked, softening his features.

"I don't know." I sighed, letting my head fall onto the bed.

His hand moved to my hair, brushing through the locks. "Go home Ellie. Sleep, eat something that is not from the vending machines..."

"No."

"I'm fine."

I swallowed the lump of emotion in my thoughts. I was utterly terrified of leaving him. "No."

Alec chuckled softly. "Yes."

"I don't want to leave you." I revealed, closing my eyes to not have to look at him.

"I'm pretty sure they are going to release me tonight after freaking out about not having traces left of burns." He chuckled trying to lift up my fear even if slightly.

"No."

"Yes."

"Yes, you need to go home." The doors of the room opened and my grandmother entered. A stern look in her eyes. "He is fine. You are not."

"No."

"Brat." Alec muttered with a smirk.

"Asshole." I rebutted, lips curling into the beginning of a smile.

He looked at my grandmother, and behind her, where his brother was hiding behind her. "Silence spell." He mouthed to me.

I furrowed my eyebrows but complied either way. I flicked my wrist creating a protective bubble around us where no sound would let be out of it. "If you go..." he then winced. "I'll talk with my brother."

I laughed lightly, hating as much as loving the idea. I had tried to convince him to talk with him for hours. Even if I didn't much like Francesco, he was still his brother. And Alec, even under all the claims to have an ice cold heart apart from me, he cared a great lot.

"Fine." I pouted slightly letting the spell fall as I stood up. "I'll go."

Alec grinned, stealing back my hand into his and yanking me to him. His lips brushed against mine for a long second before they slammed with full force into a searing kiss.

"Alright, that's enough." My grandmother laughed.

I pressed another quick peck against his lips before stepping away.

"I'll see you later at home, alright sweetheart?" My grandmother said, squeezing my shoulder.

I nodded my head at her, and Francesco before walking out.

╰┈˚ · ° .   The elevator ride to reach the level of Derek's loft was passed in a tense silence. Both Allison and Sebastian were very reluctant to follow Lydia's plan of talking with Peter, and the huntress made it known as soon as we were before the big metal door.

"While it's smart to bring us with you, I still think the rest of this is totally insane."

"I tried to find Stiles and I led everyone into a mental institution. I call that a colossal failure." Lydia replied to that. Her mistake still haunting her. The banshee let out a sigh of frustration and calmed her attitude. "Look, I just need to figure this out and he's the only one offering help."

"My Uncle doesn't offer help. He for sure will need something in return." I said, very aware that he was inside listening to our conversation. Then I looked at Allison adding, "But he is the only one who probably knows something more that is not only the definition of a Banshee like I do."

"No, he is offering a chance for her to be manipulated into giving him what he wants."

"Then, let's see what he wants." Sebastian sighed. "As much as I hate this plan too, Elle is right. Peter is probably the only one that can help Lydia somehow."

With a last look to the group, and a slight nod from Lydia, I opened the door.

Peter was standing in front of the wall of windows, arms behind his back. When he turned, he offered us an egotistical smirk with calculating eyes.

"The hunter, the banshee, the hybrid and the human." Peter said, looking quite content with seeing us. "Come in."

"I don't need to have your permission to come in, uncle. This is not even your home." I let out a scoff, walking forward until I was standing in front of him.

My uncle gave me a very sarcastic smile before turning to Lydia. "They go." He said to Lydia. "All of them. Yes, you too, Elizabeth."

"Fuck you." I scoffed.

"Not happening." Sebastian added.

"The last time I was alone with you... I almost bled out on a lacrosse field. They stay."

"Do you actually think I was trying to kill you when I bit you? You were my backup plan, remember? Not to mention, the bite is what brought out your nascent abilities. You think power like that was going to come out on its own? I'm the spark that lit your fire, sweetheart."

"You attacked her and nearly killed her." Allison said, getting pissed off.

"Power doesn't come without a little pain and struggle." Peter told as if it was normal. Maybe for him it was, who knows?

"I didn't ask for it." Lydia was quick to reply

"But you're embracing it now, aren't you?"

"How about the fact that you brainwashed her and used her to bring yourself back to life?" Sebastian then asked as he gave the adult a deadpanned look that borderlined the boredroom.

As simple as that, the ex-alpha rebutted, "So that I could be here today to

help you master your abilities. Isn't it amazing how things come full circle?

"He's insane. We're leaving." Allison was quick to grab our friend's hand and started to walk away.

"If you have nothing useful to say then we are going." I waited a second as his glare pierced down at me. And with a simple brow raised in a challenge, I twirled on my feet taking Sebastian along with me following the two other girls.

"You want the truth, Lydia?" Peter asked, voice raised slightly. Lydia stopped in her tracks waiting for his words. "It's not the scream

that gives you power. All the scream does is help drown out the noise, Allowing you to hear what you really need to. I can help you focus your hearing."

"But you want something in return." Allison stated.

"No, I'm dedicating my life to helping out narcissistic teenage girls." Peter jocked with a deadpan look.

I rolled my eyes, walking back to the table in front of the wall of windows.

"Of course he wants something in return." I said. I took the wooden cylindrical box that was on the table, twisting the cup with the triskele carved on top of it. Claws fell on to the metal cluttering on the surface. "You want something from Aunt Talia, and somehow, you think that Lydia's banshee's abilities will give you that."

"These are the claws of Derek's mother?" Allison asked inspecting one to a closer distance.

"Yes." I said, trying to keep my eyes off on the only remains of what once had been the greatest of the Alphas.

"My sister, Talia. Before she died, she stole a memory from me. It's something only a very powerful alpha can do. That memory is locked

inside those claws."

"Why would your sister want to steal a memory from you?" Lydia asked, her attitude back into full swing.

Matching her tone, Peter answered. "Well, if I remembered the memory, I might be able to tell you."

"And why can't she do it?" Sebastian asked, nose scrunched up in confusion as he pointed at me.

"Because they are claws, not the mind of someone. I work with energies. The memories in there are more like a concept, not tangible. I can feel the remnants of her power, there is still energy in them but I could only channel it, not discover what she had trapped in them." Bittering my tone in an unconscious way, I then added. "Maybe if she was still alive I could've done it but... death is more her thing then mine."

Lydia let out another sigh, slightly nodded her head and asked,"So what am I supposed to do?"

───── ⋆⋅⋆。 ゚☽𖦹☾ ゚。⋆⋅⋆ ─────

╰┈˚ · ° .  "Focus." Peter told Lydia. The banshee was trying to use her abilities on the claws, but so far, she had only got frustrated.

"I am focusing!" The strawberry-blonde shouted back.

"You're not! I can see the wheels spinning behind your eyes. Your hearing is attuned to a level of the universe no one else can hear. But only if you're listening."

"I'm trying."

"Try harder!" Peter snapped, but only the time to make a single step, Allison was ready with her electrical baton, pointing it at his throat.

The crackling of the electricity filled the air as the huntress stared, ready to take head on the ex-alpha.

Peter snapped his claws out, "Your aunt had one of those. Aunty Kate." He taunted.

"That's enough. Both of you." I said, grabbing my uncle's wrist to make sure that he wouldn't lose it and use it to scratch Allison's throat open like he had done to her aunt.

"Stop it." Lydia told them. But both our voices were not heard as my uncle continued his taunting.

"Didn't do her much good as I ripped her throat out, did it?"

"She didn't shove it up your..."

"This is not helping!" I snapped.

"Stop it." Lydia repeated, chest heaving with her speeded up breathing.

"Uh, guys?" Sebastian's uncertainty in his tone made me look at him, but the boy was focused on his cousin.

"Stop it!" Lydia shouted, high pitched enough to make my ears ring. The claws in her hand flew away embalming in the wooden post, only avoiding the hunter and werewolf fighting by inches, and if I hadn't lowered my body, they would've now been in my throat..

It was visible the way Lydia's features changed. She tilted her head as if to hear better— understand what only she could.

"Lydia? Lydia, did you hear something?" Peter asked as the girl step by step got closer to the claws. "What is it? What are they saying? Is it the memory? What did Talia take from me? Tell me what she knew!"

Eyes misted with tears and lips parted, Lydia revealed, "You're not just an uncle."

Peter insisted on having more answers to his question, something that Lydia did not have– or knowing her, did not want to tell him.

"I said I don't know. I don't know its name, If it's a boy or a girl or if it's some mutated wolf baby."

I was in shock. Peter having a daughter was the last thing that I would have imagined. And the fact that Aunt Talia took that memory from him... It wasn't right.

"You're lying. Tell me what you know." My uncle's rage boiled making him grab Lydia's arm in a strong hold "Tell me. Tell..."

Allison used her weapon, once again electricity crackled and Peter fell onto the floor with a grunt of pain.

That electric baton wasn't that bad as a weapon after all.

"Now we're leaving." She stated, taking Lydia's hand in hers while Sebastian took mine leading my still in shock body after the two other girls. And Peter's scream followed us until we were outside the building.

"How is that possible?" I asked out loud once we were inside the car.

"I'm pretty sure you know how it's possible since you and Alec have a very active sex life." Sebastian commented with a snort.

"As if you and Isaac pass your time braiding each other's hair." I said through a scoff, not even hiding my eye roll at his proud smirk. "So who is it?" I asked Lydia. "Tell me it was a girl. I do not need another male cousin."

"It's a girl." She sent me a smile from the rearview mirror. "Do you have a photo of Peter?"

I gave her my phone with the photo displayed on it. She positioned it near her own, the photo from an article of a girl that we all knew showing.

"Malia?" I questioned.

"Peter and Malia? Are you sure?" Asked Sebastian.

"Yes, I'm sure." Lydia replied with a curt nod. "It's her. Malia. She is Peter's daughter."
