โฐโห ยท ยฐ . ย DARKNESS. EVERY BUILDING, EVERY HOUSE... the entirety of Beacon Hills was plunged into complete darkness.
I woke up from the vision teary eyed and short of breath. Alec and Lydia there with me hovering above my passed out frame.
"Are you okay? What did you see?"
Those were the first questions that I got asked once I had opened my eyes.
Was I okay? I didn't know. What did I see? I also had no idea. What the hell were those things?
Something felt wrong. Very wrong. And it wasn't just because of those being made of darkness with yellow glowing eyes.
Coming to my aid as I did not know how to reply to that, came the sirens of sheriff department cruises, bathing the outside of substation in blue and red lights. It was only then that I noticed the complete blackout of the city. There were no lights to be seen lightning the dark streets.
We were escorted to the station, joining us, Scott, Stiles and Kira.
The six of us sat on the couch and chairs in the sheriff's office, agent McCall there to question us.
"So when did you get there?" The FBI agent asked. He wanted answers, not only because of Barrow and the Kidnapping of Kira, but I could see that he wanted to know about his kid, who did he end up in that substation to begin with.
"At the same time." Stiles was the one that answered the question.
"At the same time as who?"
"At the same time as me." Scott replied this time.
Wanting a clearer answer, the Agent then asked. "By coincidence?"
"What do you mean by coincidence?"
"That's what I'm asking you. The two of you arrived at the same time. Was that a coincidence?" The older McCall asked before turning towards Alec, Lydia and I "And what about you three?"
"We arrived at the same time as them." I replied. I had to admit that I was having fun seeing the patience quickly leaving the FBI agent.
"Was that a coincidence too?"
Confused by the question, Scott asked "Are you asking me?"
"I think he's asking me." Stiles shook his head.
"I think he is asking me." I added
"I think he's asking all of us." Lydia concluded.
"Okay, let me answer the questions." Alec snorted at the mistake as agent McCall stayed silent for a second after realizing his wrong wording before correcting himself. "Let me ask the questions."
"Better." I commented sarcastically. And beside me, Stiles winked amusedly.
"Just so I have this absolutely clear." Rafael McCall said, opening his notepad, "Barrow was hiding in the chemistry closet at the school. Someone left him a coded message on the blackboard telling him to kill Kira. Then Barrow took Kira to a power substation and tied her up with the intent of electrocuting her, which blacked out the entire town."
"Sounds about right." Stiles muttered.
"How did you know he'd take her to a power station?"
"Well, 'cause he was an electrical engineer. So where else would he take her?"
Certainly we couldn't say that Lydia's banshee powers helped us with that, Stiles answer was for the best.
"That's one hell of a deduction there, Stiles." As agent McCall said that, it was clear that he clearly did not believe a word that we had said.
"Yeah, what can I say? I take after my pops. He's in law enforcement." Stiles winked at his dad, probably trying to make a dig at the agent after he tried to fire his father from his job.
Smirking mockingly at 'papa McCall', I added to that with a pat on Stiles' shoulder. "He has some genes. Like Scott..." I looked at the man in front of me, and before I could continue, Stiles completed my phrase.
"Yeah, from his mother."
"You are reading my thoughts." I gasped, turning slightly towards Stiles high fiving him.
The Sheriff snorted, covering his amusement with a cough. Something that Alec decided wasn't needed.
"Guys, just, uh... Just answer the man." The Sheriff said, suddenly returning seriously.
"We made a good guess." Stiles answered with a shrug.
"What were the two of you doing?" The agent then asked his son and Kira, who had spent the evening together.
"Eating pizza."
"Eating sushi."
They both said at the same time, before retrying again.
"Eating sushi."
"Eating pizza."
"Eating sushi and pizza." In the end they said together.
"What the fuck?" I mouthed the words, looking at the two.
"Let's be real." Alec started, a mischievous grin curling his lips.
"Oh god." Stiles mumbled as the same time I groaned in my hands.
"Here we go." Lydia muttered, heaving a sigh and rolling her eyes.
Whatever he was going to say, we all knew it would be something bad. Even Scott winched slightly. Kira only looked confused at us.
"They were fucking, or about to probably. They just don't want to admit it."
"Alec." Scott sighed as Kira started to stutter through her words.
"No! We weren't- we didn't."
"Don't mind him." I gave her a tight lipped smile slapping a hand on my boyfriend's mouth. "He just likes to stir shits up and be an asshole 24/7."
"I do." Alec nodded, his words coming unclear as he spoke against the palm of my hand before I could take it off.
"You believe this?" McCall turned towards the Sheriff ignoring whatever comment we had just made.
"To be honest, I haven't believed a word Stiles has said since he learned
how to speak." The other older man replied, making me snort at Stiles, who mockingly rolled his eyes at me. "And I'm learning she is not much better." He added pointing in my direction.
I scoffed at that, crossing my arms on my chest as Stiles took the opportunity to laugh at me until I elbowed him in the ribs.
"But I think these kids..." The Sheriff continued after rolling his eyes at our antics, "found themselves in the right place at the right time and that girl sitting there is very lucky for it."
"Kira, is that how you remember it?"
At the question from the agent we all leaned slightly forwards trying to look at her and communicating with our eyes the answer. Talk about peer pressure.
"Yes." The new girl said. "Could I get my phone back now?"
"Sorry, but no."
After that, we filed out of the room, Scott remained to talk with his father and Kira to fill out some paperwork while the rest of us started to walk outside.
I was almost at the front door when my shoulder bumped into someone else's.
"Sorry." The deputy and I mumbled at the same time. He was a new one, young, probably far younger than the rest of the department. With fair skin and green eyes and very light brown hair.
"Do we know each other?" The deputy asked, taking a second to look at me with furrowed brows in concentration.
I wanted to say yes but I was sure I had never seen him before tonight, and still, he seemed familiar.
"I don't know." I answered as confused as he was.
"I'm sorry, you just seem familiar." The deputy smiled, shaking his head to learn his thoughts before extending his hand for me to shake. "I'm Jordan Parrish."
"Elizabeth Hale."
"And I'm Alessandro Di Luna. Nice to meet you too." Alec said, words spoken with an unmistakable bite. "Can we go now?" He asked the question to me, but still, he was glaring at the deputy.
"Yeah, yeah." I rolled my eyes, smiling at the jealousy written all over him.
"Goodbye Jordan."
Looking amused at Alec's comment, Jordan nodded his head smiling too. "Goodbye Elizabeth."
"What the fuck was that?" Alec asked once we were outside, glaring at me through his darkened eyes.
"I don't know." I said confused, looking at the closed door for just a second. "I don't know."
Shadows slithered up my arms and soon, a hand was wrapped around my throat rising me slightly from the ground until I had to stand on the tip of my toes.
"You are mine, Elizabeth. Don't forget it." His lips brushed against mine as he spoke, sending waves of lust through my body.
His hand abruptly let me go until only his shadows were trailing my skin. "Fuck you are hot when you are jealous." I smirked, massaging my neck. Arousal scenting the air. As much as I loved seeing him so worked up, that was definitely nothing to be worried about. "It wasn't like that Alec. It was weird and... I don't know."
So many 'I don't know' that night.
He pressed his nose where my shoulder met my neck, nuzzling and scenting me until he relaxed in my hold. And when his lips met mine for a scorching kiss, I had to almost yank him off of me for him to let me go.
Because we were not done yet tonight.
"What?" he growled as his lips tried to reclaim mine.
"The vision that I had. It was of Isaac."
His heartbeat skipped a beat at his worry, "Isaac? What about him?"
"He is fine. As much of a bullshit this pack bond is revealed to be, other than giving me nightmares when one or three of them had an open door in their mind, I can feel that he is alive and fine."
It took me more than I cared to admitโ using even my own magicโ to have a better understanding of his physical state.
Why did the pack bond feel even further away now?
The shadow wolf let out a sigh of relief before asking. "What was it then?"
Tiredness weighted me down as I yawned. "We can just ask him when we go home." I said, dropping my head on his chest.
Once again his heart skipped a beat, fingers brushed through my hair as he replied. "Yes, little witch. We can ask him when we go home."

โฐโห ยท ยฐ . ย "Can you stop thinking about that?" I said to Alec as we walked through the front doors of the school. I couldn't keep my amusement at bay as I spoke.
"I can't unsee it, Ellie." He whined, squeezing his eyes shut, shuddering at the mental image that he had carved in his mindโ apparently forever now.
"You are so dramatic, I swear." I chuckled while ruffling his curly hair.
Slapping my hand away with an offended look, he replied. "Can you?"
"Can I do what?"
"Oh my god, can you unsee it?" He spoke through a hiss.
"They were just making out, Alec." I laughed.
"Heavily making out." He corrected me pointedly.
"Isaac saw us in a much more incriminating position. Like that time in the kitchen or against the front door-"
"Yeah, I get it." He huffed, cutting me out from the listing, hugging me from the side until he could hide his face in my neck, although with much difficulty since we were still walking. "But still..."
The previous night, after we came back from the station, Isaac was otherwise occupied. With Sebastian. In the end, he seemed to be completely fine, very fine actually, so we just delayed the conversation leaving the two alone. And for a time when Alec could look at his friend in the eyes without cringing apparently.
"What are you doing?" He frowned as I tried to peel his arms away from me. "Don't, Elizabeth."
"You can hug me later." I kissed his frown away, until it quickly returned after a second I was further away from him. My eyes found Kira's before the girl quickly turned around.
"Do we have any idea what she is?" Alec asked as he stared down the new supernatural creature from afar.
"Not a werewolf, that's for sure." I replied.
"No. No. Stop. Stop." We snapped our head to the side in time to see Stiles stopping Scott from following after Kira.
"What? I need to talk to her." Scott was quick to say, eyes still trained on the Japanese girl.
As he tried to step forward again, I was there to stop him. "Nope, Stiles is right. Leave her alone."
"Someone left a coded message telling Barrow to kill her."
"Which is why I need to talk to her." Scott insisted, hell bent on talking with her.
"Scott, no way. Until we figure out if she's just another psychotic monster that's going to start murdering everybody, I vote against any and all interaction."
"Exactly." Alec nodded in agreement with Stiles' words.
"What if she's like me?" The alpha asked.
"That girl walked through 1.21 gigawatts of electricity. She's not like you."
"She is not." I told him. "I don't know what she is-"
"Yet." Alec added to what I was saying.
"But she is not a werewolf." I finished. "She could be dangerous."
"You have a crush on her, we get it." Alec started.
"I don't have a crush on her." Scott frowned at the shadow wolf's words.
"Sure." I muttered sarcastically. He definitely had a crush on her.
And as if no one had spoken after him, Alec continued what he wanted to say. "But play it safe, alright. If not for you then for the rest of us." He patted Scott on his shoulder in fake sympathy before he dragged me away from the best friend duo.
"Do you think he is going to listen to us?" I asked. Alec's reply was a snort.
I really hope that she is not someone that will try to kill us all, he hasn't had great luck with relationships so far. And as much as I know that both him and Allison still had feelings for each other, they couldn't stay stuck in this limbo of nothingness forever. They needed to move forward, and if they were meant to be together, in the end I know they would be with each other again.
I always thought of them to be forever. But maybe they were the right person at the wrong time. Or maybe it was something like right person, right time but life got in between.
I hate to think what that felt like. Having to lose the person that you loved in that way. This time it was me that wrapped my arms around my boyfriend, my heart hurting even at the slight thought that I could somehow lose him.
And as if listening to my thoughts, he brushed his nose against mine. "Not even death could keep me away from you, little witch."
โโโโโ โโ โ๏ฝก ๏พโฝ๐ฆนโพ ๏พ๏ฝกโโ โ โโโโโ
โฐโห ยท ยฐ . ย A rave party in Derek's loft. That was probably one of he best fucking things ever.
Yes, I was still angry with him. The Hale gene's to keep a grudge were strong. The Warren's weren't any better.
Fortunately, my petty revenge was helped by Aiden who asked for my cousin's place for Danny's party.
My smile was wide as I walked through the open door of the loft. Music was blasted from the speakers loud enough to almost make my ears bleed, a dj with his console choosing each remixed track. Fluorescent lights were installed to make all the paint reflect with neon colors. There was already a crowd in the middle of the room, skin painted to glow. Dancing and drinking the night away.
"Derek is going to kill the twins." Alec grinned maniacally. For once, even he lost his trademark leather jacket tonight, opting for a black shirt that was mostly unbuttoned, letting his tattooed skin be seen underneath. His sleeves were rolled to his elbows, and fingers shined with silver rings.
"Oh he will." I grinned back at him.
"You are loving this." He laughed.
"You know I do."
"And you what I would love?" With his arms, he pushed me flat against him until his hands could easily wander down my back and under the leather tight skirt that I was wearing.
"Me painting you all over." I said, fluttering my eyelashes up at him. I definitely would.
His lips brushed against mine, hands squeezing my ass as he muttered with a mischief filled smile. "That's my girl."
Seconds turned into minutes, minutes into an hour. With the music to lead our movements, Alec was the first that began to coat my skin with paint. Simple lines on my arms, on my chest between the fabric of the halter leather top tied in the middle with a lace, and the skin around my belly and down the line that the hip bones created.
"Done." he whispered, handing me the paint.
I smirked at his proud smirk as I took the brush and paint from his hands. I was for sure going to have fun with this.
I moved the paint coated brush against the skin of his neck, tracing the same shadow-like pattern of his tattoos in the blank spaces. I trailed down to his chest, shirt totally unbuttoned passing over his pecks, my fingers lightly brushing over his moon tattooโ a tattoo that he made for meโ and down to his abs until the bristles almost touched the wristband of his pants.
"You are like a drug, Elizabeth." he whispered in my ear as he moved my hair away to trail his fingers with feather-like brushes down the column of my throat. "One that I can never have enough of."
Breath stuck in my throat, I smashed my lips against him.
Apparently painting each other, even surrounded by a crowd, was much more intimate than I had imagined. And much more arousing.
There was no precision in the kiss, no slow movements. It was all lust and not having enough of the other. Touch moving in a chaotic mess, hands roaming the other's body smearing the paint all over.
Running away from the crowd and into the bathroom, Alec slammed me against the door once it was closed behind us. I jumped, my legs coming around his waist, fingers in his hair tugging at the roots as we grinded against each other.
"Elizabeth." He groaned my name, his lips left mine to travel down my neck leaving hickeys that healed too soon and down my chest smearing the paint on my skin leaving traces all over his mouth.
"Fuck." I breathed out through a moan.
More. We both needed more.
And then, three shadows like figures appeared out of nowhere, faces covered with masks.
We didn't even have the time to transform before they were upon us. Yellow eyes shined down at us, a hand on our face as if to cup our cheeks. And before going back into the darkness, they marked our skin with burned marks.
โโโโโ โโ โ๏ฝก ๏พโฝ๐ฆนโพ ๏พ๏ฝกโโ โ โโโโโ
โฐโห ยท ยฐ . ย "Ellie, my love, wake up!" The voice whispered somewhere in my ears. "C'mon, Come on!" The tremble in the tone from emotion was unmistakable.
I was in and out of conscience, enough to realize that it was Alec cradling my body. I was aware enough to feel him tremble against me, probably still healing from whatever the hell those darkness made creatures had done to us.
"Snap it." It came out as a whisper, mumbled through chattering teeth.
"What?"
"Snap it." I repeated, this time way clearly as I found a little bit of my strength back enough to squeeze his hand.
"Okya, okay. I'm sorry." And then he snapped my wrist.
Little by little I healed enough that I could stay upright, face still buried in the neck of my boyfriend.
The scent of blood permeated the air making me come to the conclusion that Alec had used his claws to pierce his skin and start the healing process on his own.
"What the hell were those things? Were those the same-" He asked, swallowing down and hugging me tighter against him.
"Yes. The same things that attacked Isaac yesterday." I looked at him when I felt his finger brush the skin behind my ear more than one time.
"What is it?"
Wordlessly, he moved my hair away, "They left something, a mark."
I sat up straighter checking behind his ear only to find there a mark too, "Does it look like a kind of 5 but reversed?"
He nodded, "Yeah."
"GET OUT!"
Our heads snapped towards the door as the voice roared the words.
"What the fuck? Is that-"
"Derek? Yes." I nodded my head.
We stood up carefully keeping our hands intertwined, and when we walked towards the center of the loft, the crowd was running away.
"Lydia." Alec was the one that led me to my friend.
She was held up by Aiden and Danny, but all around us as the crowd decreased, from the shadows the creatures made of darkness emerged, waiting.
"Get her out here. Please" I told Danny pleadingly.
"I'm fine." Lydia said.
"No you are not. Go." Alec scoffed, "Get her away from here." He too said to the human boy.
Danny was quick to disappear with the rest of the other people, and now, only supernaturals or the one aware of it remained.
In the silence that was created, the boots of the creatures thumped against the floor.
"Guys, they're all looking at me." Aiden said, "Why are they all looking at me? Guys?"
Step by steps they moved forwards, and even if Alec and I were steps away from Aiden, their intention was clear. Their focus was only on him.
In a second Scott and Derek attacked, but no wound seemed to hurt them.
Wide eyes I watched as both werewolf were easily defeated, thrown down on the floor with supernatural strengths.
My magic stirred inside my veins, as I closed my eyes directing the spell towards the six shadow figures. "Voco super naturam, disrumpam colla." The spell did as I asked for, snap the necks of the multiple creatures, but as if it was nothing, they just turned their heads, setting their necks back to natural positions. Not affected by it in the slightest.
"What the fuck!" I muttered, they might have not been affected but for sure I was astonished by it.
With one exchanged glance, Isaac and Alec stepped forwards, claws out ready to begin the new wave of attacks, but the darkness-creatures summoned each a sword, from their chests.
"Yeah, not worth it for him." At the sight, Alec shrugged his shoulders, stepping back until his body covered almost entirely mine from view.
They wanted Aiden after all.
The same thing did Isaac. He stepped back until he was next to Allison and Sebastianโ who were both holding upright Ethan who looked to be too weak to be on his feetโ until he could wrap his arm around his human boyfriend.
As the oni walked, slowly and coordinated towards Aiden, Alec took the opportunity to drag us away from him and towards the trio.
One of the creatures approached Aided, hand cradling his cheeks, yellow neon eyes staring down at him, and a second later, the omega was on the floor.
"What is happening?" Sebastian asked.
"I have no idea." I whispered back, and just a second later, the new creatures turned around, this time looking at Scott, but before they could get him, the sun rose, washing away the darkness and the creatures with it.
"What the hell were those things?" Scott was the one that asked the question in the silence that the confrontation with the new creatures left us.
Isaac turned towards Allison, eyes colder then I had expected them to be. "Your dad's 24 hours are up."
And all I could think was... The clash of swords.
And not for the first time as I thought about this part of my vision, dread coated my insides, because in the end of this, if we successfully get to end it, I just know that nothing and no one will be the same.
The clash of swords.ย
