╰┈˚ · ° . THE PLAN TO CATCH CORA AND BOYD inside the boiler room of the high school fortunately worked. Of course, not without some problems. Opposite to entering the school, the two wild werewolves decided that it was better to just pass it by going over it. With a quick text to Allison— as she had let me know that she was helping us capture them, without anyone else knowing it— I told her to block them from going anywhere else and to try to lead them inside by the red doors at the back of our school, where all the busses where parked, that Isaac was going to open for us.
Now, after a quick spell to close the door of the boiler room, the two werewolves that were lured inside, were safe from causing any harm to anyone else.
Letting out heavy relieved breath, Derek, Scott, Alec and I took a second to relish in our victory.
"Did that actually just work?" Scott asked with a look of disbelief, his eyes spoke of how low he actually had believed in this plan even if he would've never vocalized it.
"It worked." Derek breathed out with the beginning of a smile curling on his lips.
"Never thought it was going to, honestly." Alec said, different from Scott, he had no second thoughts about saying it out loud.
I let a second of silence fill the air before I broke it off. "Same."
Breathy laughter bounced in the small stairway directed to the boiler room before all of us relaxed against the walls. Well, not everyone. Scott stood near the door, his ear directed towards the room on the other side.
"What are you hearing?" Derek asked as he noticed the young beta's actions.
"Heartbeats." Scott replied.
"Both of 'em?"
"Actually..." The McCall boy said trailing off, his eyes widening slightly at what he was hearing, "Three of them."
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Alec groaned, I slumped my head on my boyfriend's shoulder, matching his groan with one of my own.
We all stood up, Derek was the first to approach the spelled door.
"What are you doing?" Scott asked, his eyes preoccupied.
"Ellie, undo the spell. Close the door behind me and keep it shut." Derek said without looking at us.
"What! No!" I whispered-shouted totally enraged with my cousin.
"You go in there alone, and you're either gonna kill them, or they kill you." Scott said, trying to dissuade Derek from his decision.
"That's why I'm going in alone."
"No, I'm not taking the spell off. I'm not sending you inside to die, Derek, because I know that you'll never kill them." I said, shaking my head.
He turned towards me, eyes softer than I had seen in a long time. "It's okay."
"No it's not. I'm not letting you go inside by yourself." I repeatedly shook my head. He was not dying.
Derek looked behind me to the shadow wolf. "Alec." he said.
Alec nodded his head making me understand that he was going with him. At least, it was better than him alone.
"I'll come too." I said earning a hard no from both my cousin and boyfriend. "Just immobilize them with your shadows." I grumbled to Alec. "If I feel like something is wrong, I'm coming inside too."
"Take the spell off." Derek said with a nod.
I looked at him one more time before snapping my fingers and nullifying the spell on the door.
Derek gave me a smile, bringing me into his arms for a hug that took me completely by surprise. "I love you, Ellie." he whispered as he kissed my forehead.
His words made me understand what the real plan had been, but before I could say anything, or do something, Derek was already inside the boiler room and Alec had already caged me against his body with his shadows as Scott closed the door behind my cousin.
"No!" I yelled, fighting the grip of the shadows. "Alec let me go." I brought my head back, headbutting the shadow wolf that still never lost his tight grip on me even when the scent of his blood became present in the air.
"Fuck!" He yelled in pain. "You just broke my nose, little witch."
"Then let me fucking go, Alec."
"No."
I turned towards Scott as I felt the first drop of blood coming from Derek scenting the air. Growls and snarling could've been heard from behind the door. They were going to kill him.
"Please, they are going to kill him." I pleaded with him. "He is my family, Scott."
The beta looked on the verge of crying, tears pooling in his eyes.
I hardened mine. I hardened my heart until anger overtook any other emotions. Because I was hurt. Anger was better than feeling sadness.
"Fuck you." I said before making my magic burst out of me. The two wolves fell to the ground from it, groans coming from them. My eyes glowed yellow on my werewolf side.
"Ellie don't." Alec said as he tried to get up only to not being able to as my magic kept him in place.
I didn't even turn towards him as my hand raised forward, palm towards the steel door. Another wave of magic fomented my anger, and the door was thrown away as if it weighed like a feather. I tuned out the two boys yelling my name as I walked inside the dark boiler room. Turning towards the left, I saw Derek on his knees, Boyd and Cora using their claws to slash into him creating wound after wound. And then, they noticed me.
"Moventur." Using my hand with the help of the spell, I sent them both flying backwards onto their backs. Closing my hands into fists, I spoke the second spell "Somnus." and the two werewolves passed out cold on the concrete floor.
Derek looked up just as the first ray of sun appeared by the small gaps in the wall. I made sure with my super hearing that his heartbeat was steady just as Isaac, accompanied by Alec and Scott now that I had let the spell on them go, entered the boiler room.
I didn't even glanced at their ways as my boots echoed as I walked away.
"Ellie." Alec tried, his hand wrapping around my arm trying to stop me from walking away.
I looked at him, my eyes cold before I turned towards Derek. The screams of my family dying in the fire echoing in my ear, the heat of the flames of that night scorching my skin.
I couldn't bear being in the same room as them, any of them. I yanked my arm away from Alec, who fortunately let me go.
As soon as I was outside, I called Allison, who I knew was still awake. She was still near the school waiting for me to update her on the plan. When she saw me entering her car without a word, her eyes narrowed before she took her phone out of her pocket.
The drive back to the Argent's apartment was silent. Lydian and Sebastian were already waiting outside the door when we arrived.
"C'mon, I'm hungry." Sebastian said, taking my hand in his. "And I miss my gossiping buddy. Let her out." He added with a pointed look on Hex's domus on my arm. Apparently the human and my familiar had taken a liking to each other. And the gossip between them was wild. I didn't even know how it was possible.
Allison and Lydia laughed loudly, he even managed to get me to do it. I called Hex out and with a flick of her forked tongue demanded food.
"Don't worry, Lydia will cook us all a big breakfast." Sebastian said as he took my familiar in his hands until she was around his neck.
The following hour was spent in the kitchen, Lydia cooking, Sebastian talking shits with Hex. Allison talking with Lydia as I draw in my sketchbook.
"Damn, that is a macabre drawing, Elle." Sebastian said as he put a full plate of waffles in front of me.
It was a drawing of a girl— a dead girl. She was with her back on a tree, a string wrapped around her throat and the trunk of the tree, blood gushing from the wounds on her throat. It was slashed out, a clean cut through her skin. There was one word echoing in my mind as I focused back on reality.
Hex hissed as she coiled herself around me.
"It's not a drawing." She said with her hissing tone. "It's a vision,"
"A vision?" Allison asked
"Doesn't she like, pass out when she has visions?" Sebastian questioned as he ate a piece of crispy bacon.
"Vision can come in different ways. Drawing is one way in which nature gives her vision." Hex explained.
As my eyes landed on the drawing. "Virgines."

╰┈˚ · ° . It was Saturday afternoon when I drove towards Derek's loft. Just hours after we had saved Boyd and Cora. I was almost shaking in the seat of my car, for excitement, happiness, fear, I didn't know.
My nerves almost got the better of me when I finally parked my car in front of the huge industrial looking building. I swallowed my emotions as I finally started climbing up the flight of stairs.
My phone had continued non stop vibrating, from calls and messages all from Alec, but I was still too angry with him to acknowledge any of them. Almost in front of the big red metal door of the entrance of Derek's loft, I finally turned it off.
Taking a breath, I opened the door. The familiar scent of Derek was the most prominent, but under his, I could smell Peter. Another scent came from the floor above, making me think that it was Boyd. And then, another one.
"Took you long enough." Peter grumbled. He was sitting on the spiral staircases, a scowl on his features.
I rolled my eyes at my uncle. "Where is she?" As soon as the words escaped my mouth, a shriek-like sound came from my left.
Arms wrapped around my body, as my magic recognizes the energy of my cousin.
"Cora." I breathed out as I hugged her back. Tears threatening to fall from my eyes.
"Ellie." Her smile was wide when we broke our hug. Her brown eyes were too, fogged by tears.
"I thought you would've been here at least hours ago." Derek said as he came from the other room.
"She needed to sleep. And I was too angry with you. Still am." I answered without looking at him.
"Elizabeth." He breathed out.
"Don't wanna hear you." I then smiled at Cora as she dragged me towards the couch.
"She is right." The other girl said to her brother before we both sat down.
I took a moment to look at her, how she had changed during the years. It had been six years, almost seven, since I had last seen her. She had changed a lot.
"How are you alive?" I asked the question that had bugged me since I discovered that she was alive.
Silence formed around us four, uncomfortable and thick with emotions.
"When the hunters came-" She started, her head tilted towards her lap as she spoke "When they threw the first wolfsbane smoke bombs inside, I was with the twins. Uncle Ben covered my nose and rushed us all downstairs to the secret exit." The first tear fell from her eye, she did nothing to brush it away. "But it was spreading too much and too fast. A bean fell from the ceiling and the fire started to surround us. He pushed me forward, I was the only one who had any chance of surviving. He knew that. So I ran and ran and ran. I don't even know when I stopped, but the sun had risen and went down once again." She swallowed, now tilting her head until she was looking outside the big wall of windows. "I did what we were thought to do when hunted."
"Hide and heal." Peter said. His voice a mere above a whisper, eyes lost in his own memories.
Nodding her head Cora continued. "I hid in the forest for more than a week. I thought that you were all dead. I thought that I was alone, that I had become an omega. I remember mom talking about a pack in South America. The one that were once all omegas until they created a pack. I went there. It wasn't easy but I made it."
"You stayed with them all this time?" I asked
"Yes. Until I heard about an alpha in Beacon Hills. An Hale alpha." She looked at her brother. "So I came back here but the alpha pack captured me before I could see you."
"I'm sorry." Looking down filled with guilt Derek said.
Taking a big breath and shaking her head from the storm of emotions, Cora looked between us three. "How did you three survive?"
"I wasn't home that night. Laura too. She was out with her friends and the coach made us train until late that day." Derek frowned. "You didn't remember it?"
"No." Cora breathed out a sigh "I didn't. I still don't. The memories of that night are still very obfuscated."
"Oliver was with me. He was the one that brought me downstairs to the basement. We wanted to exit from the secret tunnel too." I said "He covered me so the least amount of fire would've reached me. I'm half witch so the wolfsbane did not affect me. But it did to him. He died on the stairs. Peter was there, he dragged me outside."
"I saved her life and spent the next six years in a coma from the burns." Peter then said. His tone was almost sarcastic but his eyes still held the pain of that night and of those later six years.
"Then you woke up from the coma and killed Laura." Derek added.
"You what?!" Cora yelled wide eyed.
"Temporary lapse of judgment." Peter waved his hand as to dismiss the argument.
"He became an alpha and killed all the people responsible for the fire. He killed Laura so he could become an alpha and heal faster." I explained with a grimace.
"Then you and your friends set me on fire and my darling nephew slashed my throat." Peter finished
Cora opened and closed her mouth, her eyes snapping between the three of us. "What. The. Fuck."

╰┈˚ · ° . "She is still not answering your calls?" Isaac asked as I continued to look down at my phone.
"Yup." I grumbled. "Or any of my messages."
"You held her while her cousin was going to get himself killed. Can't say I don't understand why she is not." Isaac shrugged her shoulders.
I glared at him, knowing really well that he was right but I didn't want to listen.
Isaac raised his hands up in a surrender motion. "Just saying." he then sighed when my eyes went down to my phone once again. "Just give her a bit of space. And let's move, we are already late. Let's not make the coach more angry then he normally is."
I snorted at that. Entering the lacrosse team had been easy. Having higher senses came in hand. But I honest just entered because something always seemed to happen on thay fucking lacrosse field. But the coach, he was one of the small group of people that I genuinely liked. His nonchalant attitude, sharp comments, the fact that he couldn't care less about any rules and that he was alway grumpy, were definitely good traits to me. He was funny.
Isaac and I entered the locker room, Coach Finstock was already in the middle, an annoyed look in his eyes.
"Mr. Lahey, Di Luna, happy to have you back." he said once he was us entering the room. "Not happy that you two are late."
"Sorry, coach." Isaac said, going directly to his locker.
Giving a wink to Finstock, I followed after Isaac, going to mine that was directly in front of his.
"I'll remind you all, cross-country is not optional for lacrosse players. I don't need you turning into a bunch of fat-asses in the off-season." Coach yelled, only to scowl as his eyes landed on the clearly not so out of shape lacrosse players. "So work on that." He grumbled as he walked back to his office.
Once we were all changed into sporting clothes, we made our way towards the tracks in the woods near the school. Isaac's rage was prominent. His chemosignals were blaring his anger like a beacon. He was sure that the recents deaths of the three people were the alpha pack's fault. Just like Erica's.
I stood on his side as I watched him crouching down to tie his shoes better.
"Isaac, calm down before you get yourself killed." I said, to which the boy only clenched his jaw to it.
And then, the two twins, two members of the alpha pack, stepped behind him, a smirk crossing both their features. It took Isaac a second to recognize their scent marking them as werewolves just as Coach blew in his whistle signaling the start of the run.
"Oh fucking hell." I groaned as the twins fastly ran ahead of us and Isaac glaring at their backs. Thankfully just as the Lahey boy stepped forward to probably run after them, Scott stopped him with a hand on his shoulder.
"Isaac!" Wide eyed with preoccupation, Scott called.
"It's them." Isaac stated shaving Scott away from him before he started to run after the twins.
"Isaac, wait!"
"He won't stop." I said with a huff, "He is too angry." I gave the beta a last look before starting running after Isaac, and soon, Scott followed after me until we were running side by side tracking the scent of our friend.
Further away from the chosen path, Scott and I arrived just to see Isaac on his knees with the two alphas on his side keeping him still.
"Ethan, I always forget, How many bones are in the human body?" Aiden asked his twin, acting almost like a prey playing with his food.
"I don't know. Let's count." Ethan answered to his twin, fist raised to land the first punch. But before he could actually do it, Scott punched his jaw, making it break.
"That's one." Scott said, going along with their speech.
"Two, or maybe four." I said with a grin as I grasped Aiden's hand that still held into Isaac, and with my werewolf strengths, I crushed it until with a grunt of pain, he took his hand away, freeing Isaac from his hold.
The two alphas didn't waste a second to place their bones in the correct way to heal before their eyes glowed red, claws and fangs showing with a growl.
Isaac and Scott followed after them, their eyes glowing yellow, the color of a beta. It was clear that everyone was ready to fight.
"I guess it's time to fight." I chuckled with mirth. I rolled my eyes until they were completely black, not an inch of white from the scleras showing. My claws elongated from nails, sharp fangs took the place of my teeth, shadows dancing around me excited for the incoming fight.
And then, before any of us could lay a finger on the others, a scream erupted through the air. We all snapped our heads towards the sound, only then, we all smelled the particular scent of blood. But what made me run towards the scream and the smell of blood as fast as I could, was one particular scent that I recognized between the many. I could alway recognize her scent.
As I ran, I switched my features to the human ones, only keeping a tendril of my shadow that I commanded to distance itself from me and find her.
Stiles was already at the scene when I arrived. His gaze was locked on the dead guy strapped with a dog leash to a three, his throat cut, before it switched to the girl on his side. He had a hand on the middle back of my girlfriend's back, concern fleshing through his eyes.
"Elizabeth." I ran to her side, I quickly saw her fingers twitching with my shadow making my lips turn to the beginning of a smile, but it quickly went away when I saw the empty look in her eyes as they stared at the dead boy. "Ellie." I tried to call her again.
I looked at Stiles, Scott and Isaac who they too were looking at her with concern. I put my body infront of her, shielding her sight from the dead person.
"Amore, look at me, please." I said in an almost pleading tone. I grabbed her chin making her title back until her eyes were locked to mine. They were usually bright with an indescribable bright flame, now were empty, shallow. [Love]
"Bellator." She whispered. Her eyes glowed yellow for just a beat, and for a second, I could swear that flecks of purple were in them, before her beautiful blue eyes showed once again and awareness came back to her.
"What?" Scott asked, his eyebrows furrowed downwards in confusion.
"What, what?" She asked, confused as he was. "Alec?" She asked looking at me, she became only more confused as she looked around her. "What am I doing here? What-" She cut herself off once her eyes landed on the dead person. "Oh fuck, not this again." She groaned, leaning her head on my chest. Probably doing it unconsciously since iI knew she was still very angry at me.
I brought my hand to her head until the pads of my fingers touched her scalp. "It's okay." I whispered softly as I placed a kiss on the top of her head. I distanced myself just enough so I could look at her using my free hand to cup her cheek. "C'mon, let's get you away from here." She slowly nodded her hand, melting with my touch. It was evident how tired she was.
It had passed the entire weekend after we had saved Boyd and Cora, and an entire weekend since she had talked with me. I was in her same boat, I was tired as fuck.
"Go home. Maybe try to sleep a bit?" Scott said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Yeah." Elizabeth nodded her head again, sending him a tired yet soft smile.
I wrapped an arm around her shoulders, nodding at the other three before leading my girlfriend away.
"Thank you." She whispered once we were far away from the crowd of people that had gathered around the dead guy. "But this does not mean that I forgive you."
I chuckled, grinning down at her. "I wouldn't dare to think otherwise, little witch."
