โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย ย WE WERE ALL STILL STANDING FREEZED IN OUR SPOTS in front of Lydia's house even after Matt and Jackson had disappeared.

"How the fuck did that kid became the Kanima's master?" Alec almost growled his question, astounded by the development of the events.

"Well Jackson recorded his first shift." I started to hypothesize "The camera was-" I couldn't finish even my train of thoughts as a vision suddenly came over me making me pass out.

When I came to my senses, I had my head in Alec's lap, his fingers gently brushing through my hair. Even Stiles and Scott stood above my still body looking down at me with slightly concerned expressions.

I groaned at the pain of the headache that was quickly forming. Having a supernatural healing for my werewolf side apparently didn't stop supernatural headaches from my visions. "So what did you see?" Stiles excitedly asked, making me groan again at the loudness of his voice.

"Shut up" I said grimacing as Alec helped me stand up.

"Are you okay?" Scott asked softly, his eyes showing concern

I managed to give a true small smile, nodding my head at him before saying "You and Stiles should go to the Sheriff and tell him about Matt."

"Yeah, we should." Scott looked at his best friend who nodded his head while passing a stressed hand through his short buzz cut hair.

"Alec you should go with them" I added

"What? No!" He glared fiercely at me "You just had a vision, you passed out. I'm not going anywhere without you."

I coiled my arms around his waist, resting my head on his chest. "I'll see you soon okay? I need to do something." I whispered and before he could say something else I added "Alone." Alec gritted his teeth, definitely not liking my plan. "Please, love"

The shadow wolf grabbed my jaw, harshly kissing my lips. "You'll call me if anything happens." Not a request. I rolled my eyes at him even if my heart stuttered for a second in my chest. His grip tightened "I'm not joking, Elizabeth. I don't know what you saw and what you have to do now. I don't know if it's going to put you in danger or not. Whatever happens, you call me. Do you understand me, little witch? If I do not have a call in an hour, I'll come for you."

"Yes, I understand." I sighed out. Our lips meet for another kiss, short and still full of love.

"Be careful, amore. Please" [love] He said against my lips, his tone slipping into a beg.

"I will" I answered honestly.

"Ti amo" [I love you]

"I love you too" He pecked my lips one other time before I stepped back. "Don't make him follow me." I said to the two best friends with a smirk who snickered at the glare that Alec was sending them.

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย I knew that the vision was true. What I didn't know if I should be happy about it or not. As soon as I neared the old Hale house, a loud whistle blew in my ears. Jogging up the charred stairs and inside the house, the sound got even louder.

"Derek... Can you hear me?" The voice belonged to Deaton, the veterinarian. Well, that did surprise me. He was crouched next to an unconscious Derek, next to the Alpha, the burned planks of wood were blown creating a hole. Just where we had buried Peter.

"What the hell!" I shouted, my hands coming to my ears at the loud noise. Fortunately, Deaton quickly stopped.

"You know?" The veterinarian asked with a knowing look. I did not say anything "A vision" He hummed with a small smile

I eyed him carefully before my eyes shifted to my cousin. "He needs to wake up" I kneeled next to my cousin.

"Yes, he does"

Before I could do anything I looked at Deaton "Allison's mother died today. She killed herself. Derek had bit her to save Scott and the hunter code says that when bitten the hunter needs to take its own life."

"And now you are worried that Allison will want to kill Derek"

"I know that she will want to. I've seen it. She embraced all the hatred for the supernatural like the rest of her family" I chuckled sourly. I did not want it to be true, but I know it was.

"What do your senses tell you?" He titled his as he asked his question

I sighed out "I don't know" I shook my head from those thoughts. We need Derek awake. I pushed my magic to the tips of my fingertips, the pads connecting with the skin on his temples. "Surgit."

With a start, Derek woke up.

"Derek! Calm down" I said holding his arm down that he had moved them without even knowing it.

"That sound. What was it?" Derek asked between pants

"Yeah I would like to know too actually" I said with grimace

Deaton smiled showing us the dog whistle in his hands making us scoff. Derek started to stand up only to falter and lose a step, almost falling again if it wasn't for both Deaton and I that quickly catched him.

"You're gonna be weak for several hours." Deaton explained ot the alpha

Looking at the blood stains on his arm, at the hole in the floor boarding, Derek finally concluded "lt actually happened."

"Apparently" I commented with a tired sigh

"Don't worry. You're still an Alpha. But, as usual, not a particularly competent one." Deaton said making me snort out a laugh

"Where is he?" Derek asked with demanded tone

"I wish I could tell you." The veterinarian told him seriously

"Then how about you tell me what you're doing here, and why you're helping me?"

"Honestly, I'm asking myself the same questions." I said, eying the man carefully. He alway striked me as a good person. I definitely recognized his aura, from where I did not know. But his intentions were pure, I could definitely say that.

"Helping your family actually used to be a pretty important part of my life." Deaton repealed seriously "Helping you two was a promise I made

to them."

I swallowed the lump of emotions in my throat "Your aura was familiar because I had already met you, didn't I?" I asked.

A genuine smile bloomed on the man's lips "Yes, you did. Many times actually. Your mother helped me a lot with my work."

Still deep in thought Derek took a step back "You're the one my sister talked about. She said you're a kind of advisor?"

"She was right. And I have some advice that you need to listen to very closely right now. What Peter managed to do doesn't come without a price. He'll be physically weak, so he'll rely on the strength of his intelligence, his cunning. He's gonna come at you, Derek. He'll try to twist his way inside your head, preying on your insecurities. He'll tell you that he's the only way you can stop Gerard. Do not trust him." He then looked at me "Don't trust him"

"I don't trust anyone." Derek answered

"Thanks a lot, cousin." I commented sarcastically

"I know. If you did, you might be the Alpha you like to think you are." Deaton said to my cousin "And unfortunately, the one person you should trust doesn't trust you at all."

"Scott." I said understanding who he was talking about

"He's with Stilinski right now. You need to find him, you need to find him as fast as you can. I've known Gerard for a long time. He always has a plan. And something tells me... It's going exactly the way he wants it to."

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย ย I splitted from Derek, as much as I wanted to go with him to the sheriff station, I had to go somewhere else first. I firstly passed home, changing from my dress into jeans and one of Alec's hoodies but before I could go out again, I saw my grandmother sitting on her armchair. It was very late, too late for her to be awake. Citrin was sleeping in her lap, her fingers softly petting her. There had a tea cup still fuming in her hand, a smudge stick burning in a tray on the small table next to the armchair, from the smell I could clearly recognize the scent of chamomile and lavender with other few herbs and flowers all with the intent of bring calmness, to the mind and body.

Her eyes shot to mine as soon as I stepped from the last stair "You've seen it too" I concluded

"I've seen a lot of things in my life, Elizabeth. I know a lot of things. What your uncle did was not in the plan of nature. He is alive but not without a cost. Coming back from death the way he did it... is going to have repercussions. What he went through, not only the fire but after. The way he was a prisoner in his own body while it slowly healed... that changed him. You knew that he would not be stopped, he would've killed whoever he wanted even after decimating the Argents, that is why you made that decision to help your friends kill him. He is going to be weak and he will need allies. Strong ones." She stood from her armchair, placing her cup on the table and her familiar on her shoulder. Stopping in front of me, she held my hands in hers in a strong grip "You always had too much of a big heart, for those who you love, you would do anything. But sometimes it can lead you astray." Her tone softened as she lovingly cupped my cheek "We never stop loving our family, even if sometimes they make it difficult not to. Follow your instincts and your magic, you can't run from it. Never forget who you are and from where you come from."

She left me with one last smile. I stood frozen in my spot. Her last words echoing in my mind, triggering my magic in a wave that when just the time it took me to blink, I found myself not in my living room anymore.

I was in a greenhouse, one that I had not seen in years. The plants were all carefully cared for, the flowers were in full bloom. At the center, there was a table made of wood, its legs carefully carved in intricate patterns by my father. Various herbs were hanging above it, all drying for diverse purposes. The table was filled with different things, big jars with already dried herbs and flowers inside, glass containers with different crystals. There were two stools, one at one side, one on the other, facing each other. Two workstations ready with mortals and pestles, athames and journals.

I could feel tears falling from my eyes to my cheeks, my fingers brushing against the surface of the table. So much time I had spent in this greenhouse alongside my mother. It was our special place in a house full of werewolves or from the ones soon to be.

"You need to focus more, my sweets." The melodic voice of my mother arrived to my ears. My head snapped forward at sound, the two stations were now filled by a woman and little girl.

"But how can I do it if they won't stop yelling." The little girl with dark brown hair braided messily huffed out in annoyance. The sound of loud laughs and shouts arriving insides even from the closed door

It was a memory, one that I never thought about in a long time. It was when I was six, my magic was most of the time out of control. I didn't have my familiar to balance it, just the guidance of my mother and grandmother.

"That is not an excuse, Ellie" My mother, June Warren, smiled down at me. Her smile alway so sweet.

"Mom." I whispered as I catched the sob in my throat as I continued to watch the memory play out in front of me.

"But-"

"No buts" She said to my younger self. "You have so much power that you can barely contain it. But that only means that you will be a very powerful witch one day." She cupped my cheek with one of her hands from across the table "No one can contain that much magic alone. The more powerful you are, the more you will need nature's aid. And it will answer to us when in need of it. We are the daughters of nature after all." She said the last part adding a cheeky wink.

A small laugh escaped both me and my younger self as we carefully listened to our mother.

"Now try again," She said. In her hands she twirled the blue colored rose bloomed and changed by her magic

"C'mon you can do it, Ellie." Rosemary encouraged. Her sweet voice carried down from where she was sitting on the branch of a tree nearby. Rosemary was my mother's familiar. A hybrid between a bunny and a moth. Like most familiars, Rosemary had a very similar personality to my mother's one. Sweet, caring and loving.

I only took my eyes off Rosemary when I felt my mother speak again.

"I believe in you, Ellie."

My six-years-old self looked up to our mother. She gulped down before focusing on the rose bulb in her hand. No spell was needed, only to let out the magic continuing to bubbling under the skin. To connect with the earth. To feel nature.

I saw my mother's smile widened as the bulb in my small hands started to bloom into a purple rose before a frown changed her expression as the petal started to fall down. But I remembered that moment, I had not used too much magic. I was just following my instincts. I saw now, looking from a third point of view, the small gasp that left my mother's lips, the ashtowned look in her eyes as I moved my hand above the fallen petal transforming them into butterflies until they were flying high enough that with a snap of my fingers, they muted back to purple petals and fell down like waterfall above us.

"Good job, Ellie. I'm so proud of you" My mother smiled, eyes tearing up as she walked to stand next to my younger self, who was grinning widely up at our mother. June Warren opened her arms and it took only a second for a six year old me to jump in her warm embrace causing my mother to let out a breathy laugh "How do you feel?" She asked

"Better than I had ever been. It was so..."

"I know. Never forget who you are and from where you come from. The moon and nature are both part of yourself." My mother said, her eyes looking above where the full moon was shining brightly against the glass roof of the greenhouse.

Once again it took me the time to blink to return back into my body, back to reality. The living room now in front of me and the majestic greenhouse.

My legs trembled making fall on my knees. It's been years since I had seen her with my eyes, even if just a memory. In the beginning, after the fire, at night I would use my magic to see my memories. To see my mother, my father, my brothers, all my family. Happy memories from when we were together and happy. But I had to stop, it only made the reality worse. A sob fell from my lips, my hands raised to my mouth trying to suppress as much sound as It could as tears wetted my skin. I rocked my body back and forth trying to find comfort. I don't know how much time passed, I only know that at some point Hex had gotten out of her domus and wrapped her scaly body around my neck. I cried and cried, my back against the front door. I miss them, I miss them all so much.

I wanted to go back in time to where I had all my family. When Oliver and Jordan, my big brothers along side with Derek and Peter would go all overprotective on me and my cousins. When I could run in the Hale backyard with my cousins and play with Cora for hours and hours. I wanted to go back when we had dinner together, all of us, almost every day of the week. I wanted to go back to when my father would tell me stories before tucking me in and then I would sneak out to fall asleep with one of my brothers or cousins or when someone else would do it. I wanted to go back to when my aunt Talia would spread her words of wisdom like they were candies and my little human cousins would prank all of us.

A tug like it was coming directly from my heart made me snap slightly back to reality, from the tornado of thought and feeling of grief that continued to make me sob. Someone was in danger, hurt maybe. My belly felt like it was on fire for a second before it went back to being just a sensation. It was someone that I cared about. Lydia, Allison, Scott and Stiles. Alec. We had probably barely nothing in common and still, every one of them made me care for them, each in a different way, but still, sometimes even if immersed in the supernatural chaos, I felt like I had a piece of myself back. I was more complete.

"Elle" Hex said "We have to go"

I wiped with my hand the last stray tears that had fallen before I stood up answering her. "I know we have to go. But where and who is it?" I asked my familiar as I quickly jogged to the small bathroom downstairs to wash my face. Fortunately, I had taken off the make up when changing so now I didn't have to deal with raccoon eyes from crying.

Hex hissed her forked tongue through her venomous fangs. Feeling the air, the energies around us. "The station. Let's try that first" She told me.

I washed my face with cold water before I sprinted to the entrance once again. Taking my leather jacket from the hook alongside my bag and car keys, I quickly left the house.

As I approached the station I heard car after car arriving and parking just outside. The sound of too many heartbeats and loaded guns, the scent of gunpowder in the air...

"Hunters." Hex hissed

I parked my car to the side of the road choosing to continue on foot.

"Invisibilia." I casted the spell that rendered me and my familiar invisible "Non audiverunt." Not only now Hex and I were invisible but our sounds, steps, talking and breathing, could not be heard.

We sneaked past the hunters who were lining up outside the station, their weapons ready to shoot. Gerald was in the middle, leading this operation. And to my surprise, Allison was there too, her crossbow ready in her hand. Anger and vengeance written all over her face.

We passed the hunters without being detected. I climbed through an open widow on the side of the building thankful that the hunters there had still to arrive. Following my nose, I cough the scent of blood first, a lot of it mixed with death. I scented Scott's blood and Alec's. Derek was here too, his scent near Stiles one. And apparently Matt too so Jackson would not be too far away. Noah Stilinki and Melissa McCall were there too, I noticed them as I passed in front of the holding cells. The Sheriff was handcuffed to the wall and the woman was behind the bars locked in a cell.

I followed Matt's voice until I saw Scott in front of him, a gun pointed at the werewolf's body. Suddenly the lights cutted off, an alarm started to blare loudly.

"What's that? What's going on?!" Matt yelled at Scott taking threatening steps near him.

"I don't know." Scott said truthfully, panic bleeding in his tone.

I was ready to throw the human boy away from Scott but then, bullets started to rain on us. The hunters shooted from the outside, windows breaking and glass shatters falling everywhere. I crouched down, my back against the wall, arms raised to cover my head and Hex.

"They really know how to make an entrance" Hex commented as bullets still entered the now destroyed sheriff station.

"Yeah, they really do." I said with an annoyed groan.

Soon the hunters stopped shooting but the bullets were quickly replaced by smoke bombs. I quickly got up, undoing both spells that had previously done on myself and the snake-dragon. "Find him" I commanded to Hex.

Both of us knew who I was talking about. I placed her on the ground and she quickly slithered away using her tongue to search for the shadow wolf. I ran towards the desk that I saw Scott hide under extending a hand for him to take "Let's go" I whispered knowing that with his hearing he could easily hear me.

Taking my hand Scott quickly got up "What are you doing here? When did-"

"I just arrived, Scotty. And this is definitely not the time to chill and talk. Now, let's go." I said already dragging him with me as I finished talking.

Scott guided me to where the others were, the smoak helped us with the cover. Sharply turning an angle we were ready for the half transformed Jackson to be there. I raised my hand, my magic bubbling under my skin ready to be used. Waves of pain invaded the Kanima's head, sharp like millions of needles stabbing through his brain. Jackson screeched loudly, falling to his knees making it easier for Scott to throw him away.

"Found him." Hex said through our mind link "He is with Derek and Stiles they have both been paralyzed. Derek said that Alec is too and since he was too unpredictable, Jackson made him pass out. He was shot too."

I tried not to panic, this time Scott was the one that dragged me away.

"This way!" Scott told me as we started to run once again until hallway after hallway we finally arrived where the tree men were.

"Alec!" I shouted as I quickly kneeled next to his unconscious body. Hex was curled on top of him, sending waves of magic throughout his body trying to heal him. As she saw me, she crawled once again up my arm and coiled around my neck siphoning my magic to replenish a bit of her energy.

"Lizzie! What the hell-" Stiles started before Derek cutted him off

"Not the time. Take him! Go!" Derek yelled to Scott while passing him a still paralyzed Stiles.

"Come on Alec!" I said, grabbing his head. Shaking him slightly trying to wake him up.

"He has the venom still inside of him. Matt shot him but fortunately it was already healed enough to not make him bleed out when Jackson kicked him unconscious." Derek said "We need to expel the venom from his body and trigger his healing" he explained. He grabbed Alec's arms, sending me a look "You might not want to look."

I gritted my teeth, looking at Hex "Find that bastard." I said through our mind link

"With pleasure." Hex didn't waste a second to slither once again away.

I placed my boyfriend's head in my lap. I gave Derek a nod. The alpha broke the bones in the shadow wolf forearm. Alec woke up with a pained shout mixed with an animalistic growl, sweat clinging to skin dumpening his hair making it look even more curly.

"Shh, it's okay. You are going to be fine." I said as a tear escaped my eye.

"Ellie?" He weakly asked

"Yes, I'm here, love. We need to drain the venom out of your system so you can heal faster, alright?"

Alec opened his eyes. They were dark as the night, his shadows already forming around his body. He moved his eyes away from me and to Derek. Already feeling more healthy and definitely angry, he nodded his head at the alpha who started to squeeze his arm, claws digging into his skin making Alec bleed. The shadow wolf tried to contain his shouts of pain resting only to let out groans, his eyes squeezed shut. His skin was stained with his own blood, a pool of it forming on the pavement, but at least it did the job because soon Alec could move, not entirely but he could walk with my help. I wrapped an arm around his waist, his own on my shoulders.

"Go." I said to my cousin "I need to take him away from here"

Derek nodded his head "Be careful" He kissed my forehead before he ran away.

"What are you doing here, little witch?" Alec asked, I could see his lips twisted in a smirk but I knew he was more worried than anything

"I couldn't miss all the fun now, could I?" I asked trying to lighten up the heavy atmosphere as we moved around the station

"Yes. Yes, you can if it means not being in danger." Alec replied sternly

"I knew that some of you were hurt and in danger. I didn't know who. I couldn't just stay at home not doing nothing." And before he could denying it I said "If you thought that I could be hurt would you just stay home and do nothing" At his silence I continued with a pleased tone "Like I thought"

"Shut up" He scoffed

"No"

"Jesus you are annoying" He said with a fake annoyed tone

"Only for you my love." I commented, grinning up at him.

"That is so not true." He snorted, making me smile. True. "Ti amo." He said. Stopping for a second. His eyes trailed down at me with a soft look in them, one of love. [I love you]

"I love you" I said, kissing his chest since kissing his lips was not really an option with our position. We arrived at the parking lot of the station when we heard Matt's angered voice and the familiar scent of Allison.

"You should've given me a chance. 'Cause remember how I said I'm not the kind of guy who would say something like, 'Well, if I can't have her, no one can?' " Matt said to the girl. We moved quietly after nodding at each other. Now we could see them. Matt was talking with Allison, a gun in his hand as he was crouched next to the paralyzed girl. "It's not totally true because, Allison, if I can't have you, no one can!"

Then a scream tore from Matt lips, one pf pure pain followed by a screech from the Kanima that echoed across the building. He fell back, crawling away from Allison. One of his hands was touching his neck where blood was already gushing out. "What the fuck!?" he whispered to himself before getting up and running away

"Found him," Hex said with a hiss, splatter of blood around her mouth. She flicked her tongue at us before disappearing in a cloud of purple mist and reappearing in her domus on my arm.

"What happened?" Allison asked panting

"Yeah, I would like to know that too" Alec nodded his head

"Hex bit him" I said "Her venom will weaken him until he will probably beg for death. Meaning the Kanima will be weaker. Don't worry, Hex venom doesn't kill. It's actually just magic. I can stop its effect whenever I want."

Alec looked at me with wide eyes making me roll mine. "Lean on the car" I said to him. As he did that, since he still needed a bit of time before healing completely, I kneeled next to Allison. Tears were falling from her eyes, I could see the hate that she was carrying. For the supernatural, for Derek, for me. I could feel it.

"I know how it feels to lose your mother Allison, but all this hatred is going to destroy you." I said, pleading with my eyes for her to understand.

"Get away from me." She spat out with disgust and pain in her tone as tears continued to fall from her eyes. I could feel her grief. I knew it just like I knew her anger.

I nodded my head at her trying everything to not let the sob that was building in my chest escape. "You are still my best friend Allison. Even if you hate me right now."

I stood up, wrapped my arm around Alec's waist once again and soon we were both walking outside the sheriff station.

"It's going to be okay, Amore mio. I promise" Alec promised [My love]

"I don't know if that's true, Alec" I sighed out, tears still leaking and falling to my cheeks

"I just promised it, didn't I?" He said with a more upbeat tone leaving a kiss on my forehead.

โ•ฐโ”ˆหš ยท ยฐ . ย ย I was driving us back to my house, Alec was sleeping in the passenger seat when I felt my instinct leading me somewhere else. I stopped the car and lowered the window on my side, just enough to make the wind slightly enter the car but not enough to disturb Alec. It whispered to my ear, as always no word was comprehensible to me. I let out a frustrated breath. I waved my hand in the air, lifting the effect of Hex's bite from Matt. It probably had given the other enough time to get out of there with the kanima weakened.

Never forget who you are and from where you come from. I remembered my grandmother's and mother's words.

I closed my eyes and let out my magic in small waves. I started the car again and I just let the wind bring me where it needed me to. It was so much easier than trying to understand it. I had the car headlight off as I finally stopped. When I stepped out, I caught the scent of someone. I followed after it until I stood next to my uncle. We both said nothing, we just looked down where Gerald Argent was dragging Matt down to the river. The boy's struggles were nothing in confronting the strength of the man as he drowned him. And when Matt stopped moving, only then the Argent man finally stepped out of the water.

"No longer afraid of the water?" Gerald asked out loud. My eyes traveled to where his own were. And there he was, Jackson, more so the Kanima hiding under the dock "Well, you don't have to be afraid of anything, my friend. Especially me." He took off one of his gloves and extended his hand forward, palm facing the Kanima. I turned towards Peter, both our expressions identical as we understood what the patriarch of the Argent family was doing. We both looked down again, not daring to lose even just a single second of what was about to happen. Carefully, almost hesitant, the Kanima approached Gerald. He extends his clawed hand too, pressing it against the man forming a new bond.

Gerald Argent now becoming the new Kanima's Master.

Hello everyone!

I have to be honest, I wrote like three versions of this chapter. I really had no idea what to do with this episode but I guess this is alright. It's actually 5300 words. Not a small chapter at all.

A little flashback for you all!! And yes, I took inspiration from AHS for the flower spell.

Anyways, thank you for reading this chapter, I'll see you on Thursday!
