╰┈˚ · ° . I THOUGHT THAT AS I WENT TO SLEEP I would've been awakened in cold sweat by the nightmares as I was used to. I thought that I would have dreamed about the scorching fire, the blazing flames of that night but I was wrong. I felt the wind roaring in my ears, the cold air of February freezing my lungs. Nature shouting yells of warning, chilling me to the bone.
I could feel a scream building in my throat by the loud noises. The black chalk found itself into my hand, quickly movement of my hands brought to life the dark images that flashed before my eyes. I know that nature likes to communicate in strange ways with witches sometimes. Vision such as this one, cold, frenetic enough that I could feel my heartbeat in my throat, were the one I liked the least. When there was an event, an important one that was declared important enough, nature shared it with its daughters. To some of them, to all, just one. It always depended.
Paper after paper the results started to show. Bullets hitting charred wood boards, Blood splatters decorating the walls. My fingers trebled as the last scene played in my head, my hand moving even more quickly.
A hand with claws for nails chained to rusted iron bars.
Derek
Once I was done, my hand trembled from the exhaustion. I took those sheets, placed them on my desk before falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow, with the sound of werewolves growling and howling resonating in my ears.

╰┈˚ · ° . Going shopping was an activity that as Lydia's friend I had to endure since I was little. It wasn't that I didn't like going but I would usually just get bored after trying on the second outfit. Going to school dances, another thing that I couldn't avoid, even if I would've much preferred searching for my missing cousin. Telling Lydia about my date for the formal, it was as loud as I had imagined. And annoying.
She continued to say I told you so for at least a couple hours, and still now, her eyes danced with mischief and cockyness everytime she looked at me.
As programmed, Lydia, Allison and I met to go to Macy's, but it looked like Allison was totally out of it. She could barely keep eye contact with me and seemed nervous all together. I tried to not think much of it even if the suspiciousness rose by the minute.
"What's wrong with you" Lydia asked having enough of her weird behavior
"Nothing's wrong, I just... have a lot on my mind" The Argent girl said as we all stepped on the escalator.
"You could smile at least" The strawberry-blonde haired girl said softly "Ever hear of the saying 'Never frown. Someone could fall in love with your smile' "Her smile turned cheeky as she added "Smile Allison, I'm buying you two a dress"
Allison smiled at our friend, before saying "Well Elle never smiles but it seemed that her scowling worked on Alec"
"Oh, not you too!" I groaned "Can you two stop?"
The two laughed at my expense "Why would we? It's clear. Alec likes you. A lot. You just have to admit to yourself that you like him too"
"Shut up" I snapped lightheartedly at Lydia "And plus, do you remember the favor that you owed me? I'm cashing it." Now it was my turn to laugh at her slightly scared expression "You will really regret starting this conversation, Bloom." My smirk couldn't have been more brash. "You're going to cancel on whatever dumb, roided-up jock you said yes to, and you are going with somebody else." Just as we stepped from the escalator, I caught the scent of the person I was talking about.
"Who?"
"Him" I said while looking at Stiles who just sprayed perfume into his eyes
I honestly felt kind of bad for him. He had a crush on Lydia since third grade and she never looked in his direction once. Stiles wasn't the kind of guy that Lydia usually would go for, but in all honesty, maybe she should. I could clearly see that the boy was madly in love with her. He would never treat her like Jackson or any of her normal guys. Maybe I was kind of shipping them together.
Stiles went with Lydia to search for her dress, Allison went in a direction while I searched in another one where I could see the black dresses. A message from Allison that her car was being towed later, I quickly grabbed the few choices of dresses that I liked and went to search for my other friend.
Stiles was waiting outside the changing room, his arms full of dresses. When I saw him, his eyes widened "Oh my god, you don't even know how much I love you right now! Really really– I love you. You are the best person ever. I-"
"You can spare me all this..." I cut him off while making a weird motion with my hand. I honestly was a tad uncomfortable with all the gratitude "I just thought that she might need something different from her usual type. Maybe it might surprise her." I winked as I passed by him towards one of the changing rooms but not without hearing a last 'I love you' from the boy.

╰┈˚ · ° . I was going to lie to myself. I wasn't nervous. Not one bit.
Lydia, Allison and I decided to get ready together for the formal. Stiles, Alec and Jackson were coming to the strawberry blonde girl house to pick us up.
The dress that I chose was completely black. The upper part was a leather corset with a round neckline that ended at both sides in prominent points. From under the corset, the silk skirt, it too onyx colored, formed drapes of fabrics that stopped higher on one side. I paired the dress with thigh high leather heeled boots and since I knew that we were going on Alec's bike, I added the leather jacket. I even lied to myself about the fact that I didn't love his bike.
Lydia decided to help us out, doing my hair and Allison's makeup. My hair was curled in soft waves. Not much of a hairstyle since I was going to wear a helmet. I did my make up. A black smokey eye that elongated my look and slightly stained mauve lips.
"If he doesn't kiss you tonight I might need to give him a talk" Lydia commented as she curled the last bit of my hair
"Don't you even try" I glared at her through the mirror. Her hair was in loose waves too but she had a braided bun that styled the upper part. Her lips were of a bold red color and her eyes lined in a small eyeliner wing. Her dress was a dark emerald that made the color of her hair pop. It clinged to her body like a second skin. With a V shaped corset and small drapes of fabric that acted as sleeves.
The sleeves were puffed while the rest of the dress clinged to her body like a second skin.
"Well I think he would be a fool and not kiss you." Allison commented
Allison had her dark hair up and a simple light makeup on her features. Her dress was carmine red and fabric made of velvet. It was long sleeved and the shoulders were slightly puffed. The bodice had V-neckline and V cut to the skirt, both lined in pearls. The dress had a flaring skirt that reached her mid thigh and her neck was decorated with a velvet red choker.
"When did I agree to the kissing part?" I asked my friends as they laughed. I rolled my eyes at them.
My phone chimed, a new message from my uncle. I decided to ignore it and slip it into the jacket pocket.
The three of us made our way downstairs "Isn't it a bit early?" Allison asked, noticing the hour.
"Not when Aunt Natalie will make us pose for the next fifteen minutes for photos" I answered, earning a hum of agreement from the red-head.
"She does this at every chance she gets. And she will never let us go without at least those fifteen minutes of photos." Lydia then looked towards Allison up and down and then added "Let's make twenty. It will be the first time with you."
"What do you think of running out of here before she can see us?" I asked with grimace
"Too late, sweathear" The said woman announced. In her hands, her phone ready.
She made us pose for exactly twenty-three minutes. Probably now we had hundreds of photos in hundreds of different poses. She only let up when the doorbell rang. It was Stilles, that much I knew.
Of course he would've been the first one to arrive.
"Hello, Mrs. Martin." Stiles nervously said, looking like he was going to pass out.
When he finally noticed us, or more so Lydia, his eyes widened so much that it was really hard not to laugh. At that point I really thought he was going to pass out. He didn't have the time to speak when the rumble of a bike and the famous loud noise of the Porsche was heard. We said a quick goodbye to Lydia's mom and went outside.
Jackson was the first to arrive, his suit tailored perfectly to him and it cost probably more than all the us three girls' dresses together. Alec took his helmet off, his curly hair a bit messy from it. A wide grin plastered on his handsome features as he looked directly at me. Black dress pants and black button up shirt. His leather jacket on top of it. I didn't dare break our stare, that I knew it had developed into a contest as I walked towards him. The other girls going to their respective dates.
I reached his bike and took the helmet he offered me. "You look beautiful, little witch." he said in a husky voice that I swear it reached my insides making me even more nervous. I knew that there was a light blush coating my cheeks and for that, I cursed my more than fair skin. He could've seen it even in complete darkness. If I had thought that he couldn't grin more I was totally wrong. "Don't you dare say anything." I warned with a glare. I wore the helmet and climbed behind him. Honestly it was hard with the dress. I had to scoot as close as I could to him so I wouldn't begin flashing anyone, and the bastard knew. His torso shook from his chuckle "Alec, I swear to anything that is holy, I will gut you and strangle you with your own intestine if you so much try to make a comment-" My voice came out muffled from under the helmet but I knew he heard me perfectly.
"Always so violent, little witch." An amused sigh left his lips and then we were on the road speeding fast on the asphalt and definitely surpassing the other two cars.

╰┈˚ · ° . We rode around the town for a bit, enjoying the wind, the adrenaline from the speed.... the freedom. When we arrived at the school, Stiles and Lydia, and Jackson and Allison had just got out of the cars.
I could see the longing look my childhood best friend was sending her ex.
"Well I think you look beautiful" I caught Stiles saying softly to the girl as I climbed off from the bike.
"Really?"
Stiles offered her his arm which Lydia happily took. Both of them walked towards the school together leaving me smiling at them.
"What?" I said confused as I heard a chuckle coming from Alec.
He stepped enough to invade my space, his eyes softening as he looked down
"There is a clear difference between the way you act around everyone else and the way you are around her." He said, nodding his head slightly towards the way the two teens walked off. "You really care about her" He stated "She softens you."
"I don't know what you are talking about"
"Maybe I like it." He continued as I never opened my mouth to speak. He brushed a lock of my hair behind the ear and a grin started to replace the soft look. He leaned forward, his mouth next my ear "But I still prefer you more when you threaten to kill me"

╰┈˚ · ° . The dance was boring. I spent probably half of the time bickering with Alec before he decided to drag me on the dance floor. Our leather jackets forgotten at our previous table as we drank from a flask and danced around our peers. Well, there was definitely some grinding against each other here and there but still.
This, this I could do it. Maybe. The slow song that took the place of the dance music, not so much. I made to step away when I felt his arm wrapping around my waist. He pressed my back against his body, his other hand sneaking up my collarbone, up my neck and to my jaw.
"I'm not letting you run away now, little witch" he whispered in my ear. His deep and husky voice created goosebumps on my skin. He turned me around, now we were face to face. Almost nose to nose. My arms wrapped around his neck as both of his were now on my hips as we started to sway.
Our eyes never strayed from the others. Swaying with the music as our bodies inched closer and closer. I felt his heartbeat picking up, his breath becoming uneven, and soon he was the one running away.
"Alec!" I followed after him. He was walking in quick steps, passing by Allison and Scott that danced together with smiles adorning their faces. Stiles and Lydia doing the same, swaying with the slow music. Almost
Everyone was on the dance floor so it was hard for me to follow after him.
Using his scent, I finally found him in the hallway. Pacing back and forth and squeezing his hands into tight fists over and over again. The only time I had seen him so distraught was the day of the full moon. Alec was always calm, like nothing could bother him. He had this aura around him of danger, like a silent predatory ready for the kill but now, he seemed more like a cornered animal.
"Okay, what is wrong with you!?" I snapped at the boy "You first say that you were not going to let me run away and then, not even two minutes later, you are the one that is doing exactly that!"
The boy didn't even look up, he continued to glare at the floor, pacing. "Alec!" I shouted angrily.
It was so quickly, he moved with swiftness and velocity that in my angered state took me off guard. He slammed me against the wall, eyes glaring into mine. It was a second that we stood like that and before I could do anything, he softened. He placed both his hands on the wall next to my head, his forehead resting against mine, his breathing still uneven.
"What did you do to me?" I heard him muttering under his breath. I knew it wasn't a question aimed at me but more at himself but still, I felt almost compelled to say something
"What did you do to me?" I said repeating his same phrase
One of his hands cupped my cheek, his thumb grazing my lips. "Witch."
I sucked to a breath "Demon."
And then his lips were on me. A clash of forces, a fight even into a kiss. We were like an ever ending storm. Chaotic and unpredictable. Our tongues fighting for dominance, one that he won. I curled my fingers into his hair, tugging at the curls earning a groan that rumbled from his chest. I felt his silky shadows coiling around my leg. Up my boot and onto my skin.
Panting, we separated from the kiss, not daring to move more than a couple of inches from each other. It didn't take much time for a second kiss to happen. It was less frenetic, more intense.
And then, I felt it. The feeling in my gut. There was a string, I was at one of the extremities and something, someone else at the other trying to call me. Push me to follow that string.
I moved back, turning my head to the side effectively breaking the kiss.
My eyebrows were furrowed in confusion as I saw Jackson's distraught expression as he walked down the hall.
"Jackson?" I asked seeing the boy
"Where the hell have you been?" Stiles asked, appearing from the doors that lead to the gym, now putting his phone back into his pocket.
I looked at Alec and I swear It seemed like he was ready to kill the two. It was a very amusing sight that made me snicker. He snapped his head towards me, sending me a glare too.
"Did Lydia ever find you?" Stiles asked Jackson, making me frown. She was supposed to be with him.
"Can you two get the fuck away? We are a tad busy here" The shadow wolf grumbled at the two teenagers. Seeing as they were completely ignoring him, Alec grabbed my hand and dragged me away. "I swear I'm going to kill them one day"
"Yeah, no objection here to killing Jackson? I would totally hel-"
Again, that tag in my gut happened again, this time making me completely forget what I was even talking about freezing me in my spot. What I knew was that I had to follow it.
"Ellie?" I heard Alec
"Something is wrong," I whispered. I started to walk again, him following after me. The feeling in my gut worsened as I stepped into the lacrosse field.
A familiar strawberry-blonde was in the middle of the camp and a frenetic Stiles screamed for her, running towards her.
"Lydia! Run!"
It was only at that moment that I noticed my uncle behind her. In less then a second he was on her, biting and scratching.
"Lydia!" I sprinted towards my friend who had already laid unconscious with my uncle on top of her. As a predator with its prey.
"Elizabeth no!" I heard Alec but It was already too late.
As soon as I stepped near my best friend my uncle grabbed my wrist preventing me from moving further. His sharp claws digging into my skin, blood dripping from it. But still, the physical pain was nothing compared to seeing my best friend in those conditions.
"Let her go" Alec growled
The grip on my wrist tightened makiming whimper "Why?" Tears streamed down my face "Why her?" I was weak. I was a witch, a werewolf, an Hybrid, but I too wea, I freezed by fear. For Lydia. My magic was locked up and my werewolf side would be nothing compared to the strength of an alpha. "Please, please uncle. Don't kill her."
He completely ignored me and talked to Stiles "You are coming with me"
"No, I'm... I'm not just letting you leave her here."
"You don't have a choice, Stiles. You two are coming with me." He then nodded his head towards Alec "He will call help"
"I'm not leaving her," Alec scoffed. At first I didn't understand but then it hit me like a train. Not Lydia. Me. He didn't want to leave me.
I looked at him with tears streaming down my face "Please. Do as he says."
From the way he clenched his jaw, he didn't want to but nonetheless he nodded his head. But then, my name leaving his lips in a scream was the last thing I heard before I collapsed onto the ground.
