"Thank the Archons, I thought you were about to get all emotional over how 'beautiful' it is."

A good night's sleep got you back to normal, no longer in your sad mood. Scaramouche was also acting normally now, but you knew what that meant. You two would go back to bullying each other on the daily.

You arrived in Mondstadt, staring up at the rising sun. It was wonderful to feel a ray of sunlight on you; you were tired of the wind and snow.

Scaramouche

"So, you wouldn't mind telling me where this 'somewhere' is, right?"

You

"It's a surprise."

Scaramouche

"Eh, surprise my ass. Just tell me."

You

"No. That'll ruin the surprise! You sure are one impatient man."

When you arrived in Liyue Harbor, you bought a mask to conceal your identity for the things you were about to do; the crimes you were about to commit. If anyone discovered you were the Raiden Shogun's right-hand man ranking 2nd place after Kujuo Sara, things would definitely go wrong for you.

"Look, don't I look scaaary?"

You said, placing the mask on your face.

Scaramouche

"You look stupid."

You

"You look stupid!"

You playfully put two fingers on Scaramouche's head, pushing him backwards and almost knocking him off the boat; the boat you stole from the harbour.

Scaramouche did the same thing to you as usual. A boy sat on the edge of one of the larger ships, the Alcor, and watched you two fight on that little boat. You chased each other around the boat, rocking it side to side. You nearly flipped it over.

"Hey!"

You

*Gasp*

Scaramouche

"Shit, did we get caught?"

He whispered with his hand on the back of your head. He was pulling your hair, ready to throw you into the water.

???

"Is everything okay down there?"

The boy yelled, standing at the very edge of the big ship.

Scaramouche was going to yank your hair and throw you into the water, but he realized it wouldn't be worth it if he was caught.

Scaramouche

"No, everything's fine."

You

"Um- Actually, do you have any food, sir?"

???

"... Food?"

You

"Yeah, I and my friend here are starving and we don't have enough Mora for travel food. Do you mind getting us something to eat?"

???

"Hm... I'm always here to help a fellow traveller in need. Beidou! Do we have any spare food to share?"

Beidou

"Uh, yeah! Just one minute, Kazuha. Uh... They should be in that crate over there."

Kazuha

"Thanks a bunch."

Scaramouche

"Kazuha?... As in Kaedehara Kazuha, the descendant of the Kaedehara clan?"

You

"You know him?"

Scaramouche

"Well... In some ways, I do."

Kazuha

"I've got quite a lot here for you guys."

He said as he was about to come off the ship to deliver the food to you. For obvious reasons, you couldn't have anyone too near to you and Scaramouche. The key is to remain concealed.

You

"Uhm... Wait!"

Kazuha

"?... What's the matter?"

You

"Uh... You can just throw the crate down here."

Kazuha

"What? Are you crazy? It would be a waste if you don't catch this crate, you know."

You

"I mean yeah, but it's a long way from your ship to mine so... To save time, you can just drop it here."

Kazuha

"Are you sure?... Walking to your ship wouldn't be that big of a deal, it's just a few minutes of walking after all.

Scaramouche

"Yeah, they're sure. Just drop it here, we'll catch it."

Kazuha

"Hm... Well, if you insist."

He pushed the crate softly over the edge, and you gratefully caught it. You nearly overturned the boat, but Scaramouche was on the other side to balance the weight.

You

"Thank you again!"

Kazuha

"No problem!"

Kazuha squinted at the two of you, trying to figure out your identities. He has the impression that he recognizes the man with the hat and veil far too well. He wasn't foolish, and he was growing suspicious of you two.

And with that, you began to start the engine.

Kazuha

"That boat of yours seems small. How about we give you a ride?"

You

"Thank you for the offer, but we'll just deal with this boat. We wouldn't want to be a bother."

Kazuha

"..."

Scaramouche

"What's he doing?... Why's he still talking to us?"

He whispered to you, trying to be discrete.

You

"I don't know... I think he's starting to realize what we're doing."

Scaramouche

"That can't be good."

Kazuha

"This ship is huge, surely there's enough room for two more. Where are you heading? We might be heading to the same place after all."

You

"..."

"We're headed to Inazuma."

Scaramouche

"Inazuma?!"

He whispered again.

Kazuha

"Great! We're off to the same destination. We're travelling to Ritou."

You

"And we're travelling to a different island."

Kazuha

"Hm..."

"So be it. Have a safe trip, you two."

Scaramouche

"Yeah... He's definitely suspicious. We better get out of here quick, before the owner of this boat finds out it's gone."

You

"Right."

You and Kazuha exchanged one more look before taking out into the water, the boat moving quickly.

"The food that the Kaedehara boy gave to us actually isn't half bad."

You

"It's delicious!"

Scaramouche

"... It's a loaf of bread."

You

"Yes! And it tastes holy!"

Scaramouche

*Sigh* "I don't blame you, it's been a while since you last had 'real' food."

"So..."

"We're off to Inazuma, are we? Is Inazuma the 'somewhere' that you were talking about?"

You

"Aww... You're getting closer to knowing the surprise now."

Scaramouche

"Oh, Archons... You don't plan to hand me into the police, do you? I've heard a bunch about this one really tall muscular oni who probably has a huge dick, and he's always locked up in those cells. I'd hate to share a cell with him."

You

"Pfft, what was the point of mentioning his dick?"

Scaramouche

"And! I know that you're Raiden's right-hand man, you might still be working for her and then you'll-"

You

"Scaramouche, relax. I'm not even bringing you to Inazuma City, where all those guards are and stuff. I escaped and brought you with me to be with you, not to hand you into the police."

Scaramouche

"Hm... Okay. I trust you."

You

"Good. That makes me happy."

"What is this place?..."

Scaramouche examined the trees around you. You were on an island, secluded and separated from the rest of Inazuma. This particular island was small, yet large enough to support its own small forest.

Scaramouche noticed you standing at a house door, pushing a series of buttons on it. The door beeped before opening.

Scaramouche

"Y/N!"

Scaramouche yelled in horror. He watched as a snake slithered up your leg and around your neck from the house.

He reached out to grasp its tail and fling it away, but you moved away from him before he could.
