"Wow." There's no other words to describe how it looks.

There's a bridge probably built hundreds of years ago, but still standing very strong. The sun is out which makes the water look like a mirror, reflecting the sky onto the water. Even though its winter and most of the trees barely has any leaves, the whole scenery still looks very well put together. I could stare at this all day.

"Come on. Let's go on the bridge."

Javier started walking and I follow suit behind. We decided to sit at the edge of the bridge, looking down at the water.

"I don't know why this just hit me but, don't you have school?" I turned to face him.

"Yeah, I do but I needed to few days off, to get away from everything. Have you ever been to school, given your... situation?"

"Yeah, when I was adopted for four years. Also, I can totally see you as the popular kid in school."

"Because I'm good looking?" He smirked at me and brushing through his hair using his hands.

I smacked him in the shoulder in return.

"But seriously, do you fit into the stereotype of a popular guy? You know in those movies and books. In the soccer team, dates someone from the cheerleading team, rich parents and has a super dope car."

"I'm in the frisbee team, I don't have a girlfriend, you could say my parents are richer than normal people and my car is freaking dope."

"Which part of Spain are you from?"

"Madrid." He looked away when he's answering it.

"The capital. Now I see why you needed to come here for some peace."

"If I could stay here forever, I would. Now, do you want to eat something?"

"Sure, where to next tour guide?"

"It's just this place across the street. And how's this tour so far?"

"Amazing. Cause it free."

He laughed at my answer and shook his head.

"Let's go eat some crepe."

He stood up and held out his hand to me.

"What's that?"

"Something like a pancake, but thinner."

"Are you team waffle or pancake?"

"Team waffle. You?"

"Same. Pancakes have no texture."

After a minute or two of walking, we've reached the crepe shop. It's a small shop, with only a few seats inside.

The cashier asked us something in Spanish which is most likely 'how can I help you' and Javier replied something in Spanish back.

I see Javier look at the menu which is written in Spanish so I couldn't understand. I then saw a clock on the wall which shows it's already noon, I'd better get back soon.

"Actually I have to head back soon so why don't we take it to go?"

"Sure. You want milk or white chocolate as the drizzle?"

"Milk."

Javier told the cashier the cashier our order in Spanish and she went to the corner to start preparing the crepes.

"Holy crap this looks amazing." I said as the cashier handed me the crepe a few minutes later.

"I know, pretty sure today is the third day in a row I've ate this."

"I'm getting another one tomorrow." I said as I took a huge bite of the crepe.

"I can come with." He looks at me with those 'puppy eyes'. How can I resist that?

"Yeah sure."

"So where are you staying at? I'm driving you back."

Shoot. I actually don't know how I got from the Airbnb to the coffee shop as I just ran without noticing my surroundings. But I did remember that I did not make any turns.

"I um don't know exactly. My mind was... elsewhere when I was on the way to the coffee shop. But just keep driving straight ahead."

"Got it.

"By the way, I'm going to pay you back for the drink and the food."

"You don't have to, seriously. Your company was totally worth it, it was uh... fun to hang out with you."

I suddenly feel my cheeks heating up. Why are they heating up? It's definitely the poor ventilation in the car.

"Thanks. It was nice hanging out with you."

"Geez, now this sounds like some kind of goodbye. I'll see you tomorrow outside here?"

"Three in the afternoon?" I asked.

"Sounds good."

I stepped out of the car, for some reason smiling like a crazy idiot. But as soon as I walked in, the smile was gone when I saw Breton. Here we go.

"Where were you?" He questions me.

"Out."

"So about what happened-"

"I need intel on the Spain royal family and I'm not going to tell you why." I can hear him sigh.

"Fair enough. What kind of intel?"

"Two of their private houses have been destroyed, find out as much information on that. And also it would be great if I can sit down with one of them, somehow."

"The second one is going to be harder, but I'll try nonetheless. I've heard about the two incidents, the person responsible for that is linked to your biological parents?"

"Yes. And how exactly do you do that? You don't strike me as a detective."

"I have a private investigator of my own."

It's been a few hours later, the sun is setting while I've stuck in my room researching about the Spain royal family. There's king Eduardo, his son prince Ricardo who is married to Bianca, both of them have a child, prince Nicandro. The two private houses which have been destroyed are both located in Madrid and now currently was not own by the royal family anymore.

Then Breton also gave me police reports on both the incidents. For both houses, the windows were shattered, walls were hammered in, furnitures were flipped and there was a message spray painted in Spanish which translates to: I'm coming for you. Now that I know felon was behind this, this seems likes a personal grudge against them.

I then looked out of the window and saw that the sun is setting so I decided to take a shower. By the time I'm done, it's already dark outside and a little over seven. I figured Breton would have already prepared dinner so I made my way to the kitchen, aroma from the food making my stomach grumble. Breton spotted me as I walked into the kitchen.

"I was just about to call you down." He says as he turns off the fire.

"You need help with that?"

"Yeah, take two bowls from the bottom cabinet on my right."

I set the two bowls in front of Breton, looking at what's in the pot. I saw that it's pasta with creamy sauce.

"You okay with the cream sauce? Or you prefer tomato?" I like the way he says tomato with his british accent.

"I hate tomatoes."

"Good thing I went with the cream sauce then."

We then sat at the dining table and started eating. This is really good, I thought. Honestly I'm surprised as he doesn't look like guys who like to cook. Now that I thought about it, I barely know anything about him.

"Tell me about yourself. I barely know you, and you already know quite some things about me."

"That's true. Well I'm a lawyer, defence lawyer to be exact. I've an older sister, born and grew up in Manchester. I went to Harvard and reside the the US for a few years, went back to Manchester for a decade and in the recent years I've moved to Singapore. I like to surf, but can't do it as often due to my age and unfortunately not married."

"Your life sure is very eventful. Also, how are you not married?"

He has green eyes, a beard which suits him, super tall like two heads taller than me kind of tall, broad shoulders and having british accent is definitely a bonus. Also, I mean I guess I can't be very surprised. If he were to have a family he wouldn't want to get involved with me ever.

He looked at me, unsure of what to say.

"I-I don't mean it like that. I think you're good looking, for your age." That was not awkward at all.

I suddenly think back to this morning when I called Javier good looking as well. What is it with me today, calling two men good looking...

"Well thank you, I'm flattered. I guess I've always put work first during my early days, marriage and kids wasn't something that I ever thought about frequently. But by the time I think about settling down, I'm almost fourty and not many women who I think are suited for me are still single by then."

"But you have to be dating right? I can't imagine women your age not nailing you down already."

"There's someone... we're not dating but there is something there."

"But?"

"She's eleven years younger than me."

"Age doesn't matter. As long as both of you want the same things in a relationship, it'll work out fine."

"Thanks. What about you? Any boyfriend?"

"Me? No way."

"What about that car I parked outside when you came back?." My cheeks got warm at that.

"I just met him today."

"Ah so it's a him. And you're also meeting him tomorrow." He stated.

I stayed silent.

"I'm going to stay out of it, but I just want to comment that you're in a much better mood when you came back then when you were in the morning. And I'm pretty sure he had something to do with that."

Yeah, I guess he did.
