His eyes flew open in a quick, confused stare, taking in the surrounding void that enveloped him. Amidst the darkness, his own radiant halo cast a soft glow, illuminating his perplexed expression. He couldn't deny the reality before him, he was standing alone in the heart of nothingness

A grimace formed on his face, a clear indication that he was not delusional. The sensation of a powerful gust of wind swept through him, amplifying his confusion and disorientation

His heartbeat raced erratically within his chest, a frantic rhythm that matched the overwhelming tension that gripped him

It felt as if the air around him was suffocating, constricting his ability to breathe. His magnificent golden wings instinctively spread out, only to fold back in, mirroring his inner turmoil. As he turned his back, his gaze fell upon a sight that sent a shiver down his spine

There, before him, stood a figure radiating pure, ethereal white light. Their eyes, shaped with anger and frustration, bore into his soul. Clenching their fists tightly, they revealed six magnificent wings unfurled behind their back

His heart sank as he realized who it was. It was her, but she appeared mad and tormented, her true seraphic form manifesting in all its terrifying glory. The countless eyes that adorned her form seemed to scrutinize him, filling him with a profound sense of impending regret

"Oh, Adam, you would never have a second thought about how I could love a man like you" she spoke with a chilling tone that sent shivers down his spine

Her words dripped with venom, as if she were ready to tear him apart with her sharp claws. Black, viscous liquid oozed from her bloodshot eyes, staining her white sleeves

Her hands spread wide, and a colossal eye on her stomach abruptly shot open, fixating its gaze upon his soul. The dilated pupils stared into the depths of his being

With a sudden snap of her neck, she tilted her head, her eyes transforming into slits reminiscent of a snake, only to expand like those of a crow

Her chest heaved with each breath, leaving him unable to speak or utter a single word to comprehend what had just transpired. It was as if his mouth had been sewn shut forever, trapping his voice within

"Adam."

His eyes widened as a profound sense of déjà vu washed over him. Lilith's eyes bore into his, her arms crossed in an angry stance, standing amidst the once pristine Garden of Eden

He blinked, and it morphed back to her, the resemblance between the two women becoming more apparent. His entire being trembled with the weight of the situation. Could he ever escape this torment, this swirling vortex of emotions that engulfed him?

"You don't deserve to be LOVED"

The weight of her words sank deep into his heart, leaving his mouth agape in disbelief. Each syllable felt like a knife piercing his chest, causing him to let out a raspy cough. His legs trembled uncontrollably under the sheer force of her presence, compelling him to lower himself onto the unforgiving ground

The chains of her love wrapped tightly around his knees, tugging at him mercilessly until he collapsed onto his stomach

A pained grunt escaped his lips as he gritted his teeth, his gaze locked on her with brows furrowed in frustration. A warm liquid trickled down his lip

"You should have realized this, Adam. Realise that I never wanted to be treated by you. I don't want to love you because of your attitude. Does anyone truly love you? No, useless!" she spoke once more, her voice filled with a mix of disappointment and resentment

The four eyes that adorned her face glowed with an otherworldly intensity, piercing his soul

As if to amplify the torment, another sixty wing emerged from behind her initial six wings. Yet another seraphic figure materialized, slowly peaking their head from her back

It was Lucifer, donning his demonic form. A wicked grin stretched across his face, revealing his menacingly sharp teeth. His tail swayed in the air. Lucifer stared at him with a gaze filled with disdain

as if Adam didn't deserve the love they shared platonic, a love that had been stolen when Lucifer took away his two wives forever

Lucifer's eyes gleamed with sadistic satisfaction as he relished in Adam's trembling vulnerability, reveling in the knowledge that no one could truly love him. He casually wrapped his arm around y/n neck, tilting his head with a sinister smile that embodied the essence of the fallen angel

She held Adam's gaze, her expression dripping with poisonous intent

This can't be true, right? What the fuck am he supposed to believe? Desperately clinging to the hope that her words were nothing but lies. But, the chain wrapped tightly around his neck, slowly suffocating him as he held his breath

leaving him with no choice but to stare into the eyes of the twin figures that seemed to engage in a twisted competition, only for one of them to gradually dissolve into the fabric of deceit

She let out a weary sigh, her body turning away from him, refusing to meet his gaze. A frown marred her lips, and her shoulders slumped in defeat. "I don't deserve you" she spoke again, her words echoing with a mix of resignation and self-loathing

Lucifer snickered derisively, releasing his arm from around her and flipping Adam off before they began to walk away, their pace deliberately slow, relishing in the torment they left behind

As they moved further away, Adam struggled to rise, but a sharp, searing pain tore through his body. He glanced down in shock, only to see a small, razor-sharp knife embedded in his abdomen. He gingerly touched the weapon, his golden blood oozing out, staining his trembling fingers

His vision blurred, and with a violent cough, he expelled blood from his lips

Seconds later, his mind succumbed to darkness, leaving him in a state of anguished oblivion..

"Don't leave me."

His eyes fluttered open, and a shallow gasp escaped his lips as he sat up abruptly in his bed. His breaths came in rapid, desperate bursts, and he clutched the sheets tightly in his trembling hands. His mouth hung open as he struggled to draw in air, the panic coursing through his veins evident in his wild eyes

Beads of sweat dotted his forehead, glistening in the dim light, while his once golden wings hung limp under his arms. He ran a shaky hand through his disheveled brown locs, trying to calm the racing thoughts in his mind

Slowly, his trembling hands moved to his stomach, instinctively searching for any sign of a wound or blood. Finding none, he let out a defeated sigh and collapsed back onto the bed, his arms splayed out in a gesture of surrender

It had been a nightmare-a vivid and haunting one. The depths of his subconscious had conjured images of her, the very person he loves for, rejecting him right after the song

He lay there in the aftermath of the nightmare, a wave of heat washed over him, causing him to break into a fit of coughing. Exhaustion weighed heavily upon his weary frame, his eyes drooped with weariness

It was just a nightmare, he reminded himself, but the ache in his heart lingered

Just a nightmare.
